CHEERY O
It is Color Play Friday and holy :holysheep:, these kits are Ah-MAY-Zing!! Seriously gorgeous, especially when scrolling one after the other in the HAPS. Each one had me drooling.
They made me *almost* a little less bummed about the end of the summer. Not quite, but maybe I was so distracted by the colors and designs that I wasn't actively sad about the weather changes. Unfortunately, I am already starting to complain about being cold. I could not get warm in the house yesterday. The sun felt nice outside but not hot, and indoors it was freezing. I am not mentally prepared for this. Again. Forever! :giggle4:

I feel like I had another day of wandering around the house, getting nothing really done. Mopped, vacuumed, a little time pulling weeds. My neighbor's Rose of Sharon spreads like crazy into our yard and I have little saplings popping up everywhere. It is much easier to pull them when they are small.
It was wonderful having Scott over for dinner but sheesh, I was exhausted at that point.
When I mentioned that I was going to PA with both Grandma and Grandpa, he looked straight at me, "How do you feel about that?"
Ummm...... It could go either way. Really great or really bad. I'll be thrilled to get it somewhere in the middle. :angelwhistle:

Plans for today: Laundry and packing. Prepping a few of the activities for the HS session and getting them over to the Director. I haven't seen any info on upcoming registration, even though I have been sending her my updates. :/
Leftovers for dinner tonight. Thank goodness. I'm so burned out from cooking. One thing I am looking forward to while I am in PA is that my mom will do all of the cooking. She likes that and I can help with the cleaning and some of the outside work.

Ick. I am feeling all out of sorts ATM. I had more weird dreams last night, which aren't helping the seasonal changes. Please send happy sunny vibes if you can

:grouphugyay:

Quick in and out,
Heading to get Mark and go to lunch.
Been mopping floors, posting LOs, etc today. Time for a break! ;)
BBL
LOL! Your day sounds like mine, aside from going out to lunch :)
Yes, this is the same son who grew apple trees from seeds. Sorry to say, he wants to be a computer graphic animator right now. He did always want to move to TX and have a farm but he's unable to do the manual labor so he's adjusting his dreams.
There is probably much more $ in graphic design than farming anyway. That must be hard to want to do something and not physically be able to do it. There is a lot of good science and research in the Ag sectors. Who knows where the future will lead him? :)
Who knows but she's scheduled for surgery. It doesn't seem to bother her so that is the good news.
Sweet girl ♥
FWIW-- Caitlyn's rat, Pigeon, had what felt exactly like a tumor and it was growing. In fact, this was the reason why Caitlyn got the new babies, they were supposed to be company for Mouse after Piggy passed. Anyway, some time after Mouse died, Caitlyn was doing a lump check on Pigeon and the lump felt a little different. She was placing warm compresses on it and wouldn't you know, it came to the surface and did its thing. ( ) .It was very similar to what happened with the lump and whatever you want to call the raw spot on Jaida's leg. It might not help but if you can get her to sit with a compress a couple of times a day, it won't hurt.
(and that is free!)
Today should be slower, I have have 20 lbs of onion to cut up and freeze. Oh yeah me! :giggle4: Have a wonderful day!
I caramelized 2 lbs of onions for dinner last night and that was *plenty* for me. Can't imagine what it is like cutting up 20 lbs.

Mike grows an big garden and saves seeds, when we were up there we had a discussion about saving seeds. When we were in VA we went to a museum and the lady there was harvesting radish seeds from original old plants so I got some for my son. He will be able to grow some vintage radishes.
That's super cool. He will love the radish seeds!
Well Chris you are always so funny with your daily things to do and then the next day what you really did. LOL.
hehehe! I never know what the day has in store for me, do I? :p
I grew an avocado from pit too
So crazy how big they get!
I can't believe that you got a screw in the tire so close to the end of your trip. Enjoy this last day on the road today, bet you will be very happy to sleep in your own bed tonight!

@Terri M We haven't had the AC in in a couple of weeks, which is the only good part of this weather. :rantonoff:
I totally understand the need to unzip and catalog your files first. Mine get all piled up in the To Be Tagged Folder and it's a mess. I get to the point that I won't allow myself to download anything else until I clear out at least 5 kits. Doesn't always work out that way but hey, I try. :D
View Finder sounds very interesting. I do the same thing as you- get a bug in my brain to figure out how to use the SLR/DSLR on Manual and then I can't keep the F-stops and ISO and exposure settings right.
Meeting + Brewery + No Food = could get messy! :drunk:
Hope it was a good time and you got everything on the schedule taken care of.
I have become one with the couch and the dog has become one with my feet :giggle4:
Sounds like the perfect day!

Vicky, you had a busy day! Hope you get some time to scrap today ♥

@BrightEyes I know this will affect you so I wanted to give aheads up:

You should be able to read the article but in case you can't it refers to CVS and Walgreens:
Walgreens, the nation’s second largest pharmacy chain, did not respond to requests for comment about the availability of Covid shots at its stores. But when a New York Times reporter tried to schedule vaccine appointments in all 50 states, the pharmacy’s website said patients would need a prescription in 16.
States impacted:
Those states are Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia, along with the District of Columbia.

As I look around me, I need to do some serious picking up today, but I'm going to check out all of the new CP kits first! ;)

Good Morning,
Looking around me, I need to do some serious straightening and picking up and dusting today. But, first things first.....I want to scroll through all of the color play kits and, hopefully, get some mojo vibes! ;)
Mark and I plan to go to lunch again today. Ilene is helping her girls with a yard sale today and tomorrow, so I won't be going to see her. If I were smart, I should've gotten some of my stuff together to take over there, but I had no mojo to dig through stuff! :thud: I need to be getting back into walking since the mornings are so nice and pretty but I can't even get the mojo to do that!
Oh well! Perhaps tomorrow!
Have a great day!

Oh, wow... been busy uploading Color Play LOs around digi-land. Still have more to up load but am at my limit in the gallery today. Will upload them tomorrow. And, of course... I saw a couple more CP bundles I would love to work with.... :floorlaugh:

Thanks for the heads-up, Chris...I talked to the pharmacist at Smiths(Kroger) and she said they should be getting the Covid vaccine next week. I want to get my flu shot first... wait a week or so before getting the Covid one. I am in the age/health range that should be getting the vaccine. Will wait and see how it plays out.

Have several chores to get done today. The shoulder seems better today but will take it easy when I am working. BBL

Chilly morning! I'm like Chris, can't get warm in the house. Dug out my slippers and a corduroy shirt. The Washington Post has declared "fall has arrived", it's the earliest they've ever done so, but looking at the long term forecast, they don't foresee much chance of getting a 3-day stretch of 90+ degrees again this year.

The covid vaccine fiasco!! Holy cow, what a mess. I'm hoping that next week it gets more settled, but I'm in a state that CVS won't give them, and Walgreens requires a prescription, all because the CDC can't get itself together. It's really unconscionable. I was hoping to get one next week or the week after, before we travel in early October. Now I'm wondering if I'll have to drive to Maryland for one. I keep having these memories of February 2021, when we were hanging over the computer waiting for the exact second some health department would open their appointment window, hoping to grab a slot.

I'm afraid to look at Color Play! I did manage to download and catalog half of my backed up purchases yesterday, so now I think I should undo that by getting more? But, of course, I will.

Did you know it's Jimmy Buffett day? Get a cheeseburger or a margarita. Or both!

And sending good vibes to @faerywings . I hope the trip goes smoothly.

Good morning ladies. Busy day ahead. Dog walk, canasta game at the center, home to pack up jewelry and displays in the car for a market we head out to early tomorrow morning. I want to get a few more kid bracelets made since I got a bunch of charms delivered and would like to see how they sell tomorrow. I'll try to get 3-4 made up to display.

I booked our late Sept 3 day trip south to Waterton for all of us including the dogs. I hope to see bison and elk, maybe black bears too. There are a few scenic drives we plan to take each day and we'll wander thru the village at least once. I heard about some amazing cinnamon buns at a small cafe on the drive in Longview and then a great mexican take-out in a tiny little community of Twin Butte so we might pick up dinner to bring back to the hotel the first night.

@faerywings Hope the family time is pleasant. It sounds like the last few went well, didn't they??? Bonus that you won't have to cook.

I've got lots to do so better get out of here. I'll be back later b/c I need to get some CT work done if I can.

Good Morning Lovely Os
Its sunny. The rain has left. I think we got about 4" over the last 24 hours. It was crazy rainy. Now its drying out cause the wind is whippin at 20-30mph nope just looked we have special advisory that it will be 30-45mph this afternoon. Yeah. Cant hang the clothes outside to dry as it blew them right off the line. Gonna be a fun one. I figure power will go out at some point. I looked at the CP stuff and drooled as I put several in my wishlist for when I have spare cash. They are super pretty and the colors are so drool-able. Off to fill water bottles for the inevitable power outage. Have a wonderful day!
