hellooooO my O-zies! How is everyone doing today? Hope everyone is having a great morning.
A big shout out to anyone in the path of Hurricane Harvey to be safe. It will be sunny, cool, and dry here so I am sending all of that to TX.

I was so happy to see my BFF yesterday, even if it wasn't long enough. It never is, you know? Her mom got settled into the rehab center late on Wed after a lot of "hurry up and wait" while at the hospital. But she was doing better yesterday and hopes to be back home over the weekend.
My BFF is very lucky to work at a school district and has summers off so she hasn't lost time from work between her dad's passing and her mom's hospital stay. She was also really lucky and grateful that her vacation was sandwiched between the two and all of that went off perfectly.
My niece is getting ready to go back to college next week and my nephew is going to be a Senior in HS. Where does the time go?

On my way home from our visit, I offered to go to DMV for Gary to get his Handicapped tag recertified. I got stuck in soooo much construction traffic getting there. It is like all of the towns want to get everything done in the last week before school starts. I was waiting in line to get to the receptionist desk at DMV only to find out that unless I had Power of Attorney, Gary had to be there to do that. There was a Dollar Store next to the DMV so I went in there because after the crazy trip to get there, I didn't want to go home empty handed. I grabbed a loaf of bread, a bag of cookies, and a ball for the dogs. LOL

I finished the 2nd MoS LO for this week. I am spending so much time on these LOs and I am not happy with the results. But as my Teacher Voice tells me "It's the process, not the product." I am trying out new techniques and that is a positive thing.

Today, I am going to go with Gary to DMV and then try to catch up on the Oscraps CT work that I have let slide with MoS taking up too much of my time. Maybe some dirt therapy this afternoon?

Hoping that everyone enjoys their day! xoxoxo!

Trudy- I feel the same way about the summer- it is so cold, 57* this morning and you can feel the difference in the air too. What a special treat to see the elk! what a bummer to not be able to get any photos though.
haha!! I love the story of Storm and "surprise." Dogs are the best
It is funny to hear you and Jean talking about COBAL- my college roommate was taking classes in that. I never did understand any of it.

Rae- hope that you got everything done for work that you needed to do and that Beckham and Taz behaved well so you could. (Of course, they did, they are good boys!)

Jean- what is your project for the historical society about? I bet it is fascinating for you.
I will pass along all of your good thoughts to my BFF -- TY!!!

Happy Friday ladies! It is cloudy and cool here this morning, but DH is happy about it as he will be spending the day power washing and then painting the one side of the house. I think that there will be some Advil in his future

. Not much on my plate today, I never did get out to the store, so I will have to go today if we want anything at all to eat. I got my Traditionalist page done for MOS but I am not happy with it. Looking at all the others, I kept saying why didn't I add that or I should have used more papers, guess I am not a Traditionalist scrapper :becky: Oh well its done and now on to the next one.

Chris - So glad that your BFF is doing ok! How nice to have a good visit and catch up on Life! Nice that her Mom is going to be home this weekend, a relief for them both! Darn that you could not get Gary's parking tag re-certified, but I guess rules are rules. Glad that you did not go home empty handed! I didn't know that the Dollar Stores sold bread?? Hope that the traffic going home was not as congested. All of the road construction around here is wrapping up before school starts also, still lots of potholes in certain areas that need addressing before winter comes and creates even more of them. I feel the same way about my MOS pages, they are taking me so long to create and not really happy with them. But still fun to try all these different ways of scrapping!

Rae - How nice to have Beckham come for another visit! Hope he was ok with you not being able to give him too much attention with all of the work that you have lately! Hopefully it slows down for you soon!

Jean - Hope you are enjoying your friday, sounds like you will have a nice Saturday working on your historical project! Nice to have company to work with you! Is it still cloudy and cool at your place? Our forecast for next week is full sun and warm temps again! Not what the firefighters in the Interior wanted to hear, no rain in sight and more thunder storms which started 20 more fires yesterday alone. Poor B.C. is burning up!!

Well I guess I should hit the shower and get started on my last page for this week at MOS. Hopefully this ShapeShifter page turns out better than my last one LOL. Have a great day ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. I was up early this morning. Beckham decided that 5:30 was a good time to get up so we could go outside. So by 7:30 I had showered, dressed, ran the dishwasher, fed and took dogs out and started organizing work stuff. Beckham's dad just picked him up. So I can focus now on getting lots of work done today. Beckham kept wanting to go out in the yard yesterday so my work suffered a bit. Need to go run errands and get some US money as we'll leave this afternoon for a wkend at the trailer. Jen brought my laptop to me last night and today I'll load photoshop and see how fast it all is running now that it has double the ram and a solid state hard drive. Should be awesome.

Chris - glad you had a good visit with your BFF. Sucks that you wasted time yesterday at the DMV. I hate going to ours, there are always so many people and the wait time is ridiculous. About MOS...focus on having fun, trying new things. There are only 2 more to go, next week will be the finale to it. It sure is going to be interesting to see who wins at the end of this, I don't know how they can choose, there are some many amazing scrappers out there.

Trudy - how awesome to see the elk. I've never seen one before. They are big, aren't they? Bigger than deer? We see deer around the ranch sometimes.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. I'm getting more coffee and then getting to work.

Trudy - we were cross-posting, so wanted to say good morning.

Have a good morning of scrapping and enjoy your not too busy day. What is that like ???? Lately, I have no idea :)

It is chilly here but the sun is bright so I'm happy. DH did his bird survey this am and is napping now. Tomorrow's weather sounds ideal and maybe we'll go do something. I'm free as my friend had to cancel our meeting tomorrow. It's a family related thing so I know how it goes. The historical society was deeded a dream of a Victorian home and we are studying the family history. My friend is related on the in-law side back a ways. I'm looking into siblings who were early settlers of a different part of the county. Always fascinating to me. It will be nice to have if the house is ever open to the public, but also useful to those who will eventually process the manuscript material in the house, sort of like knowing the cast of characters.

Oh, and COBOL is a programming language that was used in business and other concerns (and still is, but it isn't taught anymore, so retirees are a pool of workers.)

Chris, hope the DMV is better today and Gary makes it OK. Seeing your comments and Trudy's about MoS I'm really glad I missed it. But then I'm not trying different things either. Hope you have a great day and get some dirt therapy in.

Trudy, guess you've got shopping to do today and scrapping too. Hope your MG doesn't overdo on the house.

Rae, with all your work, sure hope you have a relaxing time away over the weekend. You sure deserve it!

Wishing everyone a pleasant day and weekend!
