hellooooO my O-zies! How is everyone doing today? Hope everyone is having a great morning.
A big shout out to anyone in the path of Hurricane Harvey to be safe. It will be sunny, cool, and dry here so I am sending all of that to TX.
I was so happy to see my BFF yesterday, even if it wasn't long enough. It never is, you know? Her mom got settled into the rehab center late on Wed after a lot of "hurry up and wait" while at the hospital. But she was doing better yesterday and hopes to be back home over the weekend.
My BFF is very lucky to work at a school district and has summers off so she hasn't lost time from work between her dad's passing and her mom's hospital stay. She was also really lucky and grateful that her vacation was sandwiched between the two and all of that went off perfectly.
My niece is getting ready to go back to college next week and my nephew is going to be a Senior in HS. Where does the time go?
On my way home from our visit, I offered to go to DMV for Gary to get his Handicapped tag recertified. I got stuck in soooo much construction traffic getting there. It is like all of the towns want to get everything done in the last week before school starts. I was waiting in line to get to the receptionist desk at DMV only to find out that unless I had Power of Attorney, Gary had to be there to do that. There was a Dollar Store next to the DMV so I went in there because after the crazy trip to get there, I didn't want to go home empty handed. I grabbed a loaf of bread, a bag of cookies, and a ball for the dogs. LOL
I finished the 2nd MoS LO for this week. I am spending so much time on these LOs and I am not happy with the results. But as my Teacher Voice tells me "It's the process, not the product." I am trying out new techniques and that is a positive thing.
Today, I am going to go with Gary to DMV and then try to catch up on the Oscraps CT work that I have let slide with MoS taking up too much of my time. Maybe some dirt therapy this afternoon?
Hoping that everyone enjoys their day! xoxoxo!
