Argh! Oh, No!!!!!! It is getting to be that time of year... I had to take W out this morning and I needed to put the outdoor light on. It has been a long time since I had to do that. I really do not like the shorter days.

The temps have really dropped here and it should stay cooler over the next week. It is going to be rainy and cloudy today and my toes are freezing. I will be inside most of the day- in the car, in the vet's office, in the stores with my mom. I guess that isn't too bad and yeah, my plants really need this rain.

I helped my friend get ready to pack for the move. I do not ever want to have to move. OMG, I cannot wrap my head around that. I have moved twice in my life, not counting in and out of college houses. Once when I got married and once when we moved out of our tiny condo and up here which was 24 years ago.
Caitlyn bailed on me going over there, she had a ton of stuff to do around here and that was fine, there wasn't lots of room to walk in the house. And now we won't run out of things to say to each other while we wait at the vet during Cordelia's surgery. As if! :pound: That girl and I could waste more time chatting with each other or looking at silly animal videos.
My mom is coming up here later this morning so we can look for some new clothes for our mini-vacation. The place we are staying at this year is more "hotel" than B&B so we will need some nicer clothes to wear when we go to the restaurant for b-fast. (please let the weather be nice, please let the weather be nice!!)
She is driving without too much pain and that is great news. I will probably drive here since she is going to the lakehouse from mine. My brother and Christopher are going there for the weekend which should be ...interesting for them both. My brother just found out that he has Type 2 Diabetes. It isn't a shock, seven out of eight siblings of my grandfather had it and he is overweight. His Dr wanted him on meds but he wants to give it a few months of diet and exercise first. My grandfather was able to control it for decades on diet alone, only needed insulin at the very end of his life. So the interesting part up there is going to be my very Italian mother who feeds people as a compulsion (hahaha!!) and my brother who is a huge foodie and how they deal with this new scenario. Glad I am not going to be there, not even as a fly on the wall...:eek2:

Wishing all of you a wonderful Friday!

Felis- I don't even want to mention to you that some homeowner's associations will tell you how to can decorate the outside of a condominium you own... LOL
My dinner came out really good even if it took forever to prepare and grill. I have to use the small George Forman indoor grill since ours is still being used as housing for the critters. And there are leftovers that Gary can eat if there is nothing else for dinner that he cannot. yay!

Nancy- I always forget that you drink Dr pepper over coffee ;) Did you survive food shopping? I hate when it is really hot and humid outside when you leave the supermarket's AC and walk outside and get hit by the almost literal wall of humidity. ick! The kids made it off the mountain with no problems. Today is the last day of camp and then he has a few weeks off before he starts back leading school field trips there. The woman in charge told him how happy she has been with everything he is doing. This is great news since he has heard through the grapevine that she will do everything that she can to match up interns with potential jobs. He is planning on going back there next year too even though the pay stinks just for networking. Makes sense to do it now while he doesn't have car payments/rent/etc.
Happy that the storms didn't do damage by you.

Kay- The cooler air must feel wonderful to you! If I ever need to move, I am going to be bugging you for all of your tips. With military moves all over the world, I bet you have loads.

xoxo!

Good afternoon ladies,
I'm coming to the O, opened the Thread and reading what Chris is wrote to me (I always read the personal notes first), take a deep breath, a big sip of coffee, step foot to foot few times, close the thread, the page and get out of the room and the house. I'm sitting on a middle of yard full with riotous bushes and yellowing grass. I'm sad, but I'm not sure did I'm disappointed from my own ignorance or just from the new facts. The foster kittens are in the middle of new session of climbing up the lilac. Till my own cat and dog lazy napping under the Bindii bush. It's too hot to go in philosophical searching, and they distract me. I get decision, for variety, to follow my own advice and to don't stick my nose into other people business. Allows sun to lick my face for a while, and I'm feeling happy and grateful to be on exactly this place in exactly that time.
I have to specify that I do mow my yard inside the fence, but just because I want it; and yes I do shave my armpits, partly because of the habit, but mostly because I want it. This does not prevent me to support strongly people who are brave enough to stand against the norm and the society! In my eyes I can strongly support something without necessary to practice it (as gay rights, or abortion).
Other thing that I feel needs to clarify is that I don't usually use obscene language, only the literature version as darn, darm, bloody hell and etc. , but I was really angry yesterday! The other think is that my english friends, even gals, tells f*** for every occasion jolly or anger, and this somehow slide in your language unknowingly.
I'll left to you alone to ratiocinate about the borders of freedom, discrimination, and order.

Chris, you are ruining me! :frusty: Seriously you do! I know the British have competitions and commissions, who controls their houses out looks, but why you?! They at least are monarchy! So all these speech for "The land of the free, and the home of the brave"? is just a hyperbole?
Nevermind!
Enjoy your time with your mom! Sorry to hear about the diabetes of your brother and hope he will be strict in exercise and that's will work for him! You and Caitlyn are sooo sweet together! Can you take a pics of these chipmunks babies or you don't want to disturb them?

Nancy, at the first version of my post (before Chris to scandalized me), I was coming here to say that I decided just to listen you and posted my pages, even I'm not totally happy with them. It's mostly repeating on same composition, but maybe you're right and I'm too critical to them. I bet you laugh a lot on the dinner with your friend! :cosmo So you drink Dr pepper over coffee?! How unusual.

Wish lovely weekend to all of you! :whoo:

good morning - I have been waiting all week for my photos from Persnickety and each day Mon-Thur they said they would be delivered and not until this am did they arrive. But omgosh they are amazing. I am thrilled. Now I can send a copy to my sister and then see what my son and his wife want and which ones she thinks her parents might want. I also had a great talk with my sister. She is happy and I am happy so it is all good. I got to swimming wellness after I cook a good pork chop recipe. Today not cooking. But we had 3 great meals this week so that is good. Tomorrow going out to dinner and taking another of our friend out for her birthday. Should be fun!

Chris glad you got the cleaning done. Got luck with vet and the cute rat. I am sure that you and Cait can talk forever. Sorry to hear about your brother and he diabetes. I hope it gets it under control with diet and exercise. Glad that Scott has found a great place to work and to be able to network!

Felis I will look for the pages. I am glad you posted them! And yes drinking soda for breakfast is unusual but I never liked coffee always too bitter for me. I like sweet. So for me I will drink a frappechino as it is sweet.

Kay we got to open our windows this am as it was 66 outside. I love it too.

Have a great day all!
