wahhhhhh!!!
It is Friday already! Another week down and only one full week of summer left. My kids go back to school on Sept 5. It is going to be here before I know it.

But it is Friday which means I can sleep in a bit tomorrow. Or maybe I should just get up early and deal with the disaster that is my house. ;) Yeah, I know, I cleaned it really good last week but being out of the house most of the time this past week (and exhausted the time I was here) everything is just piling up everywhere.

At least I am feeling that some things that were stressing me out are moving along. The kids had their dr appt, and their treatment was tweaked so maybe we'll see some more improvement, Scott passed his driver's test so I don't have to deal with DMV for a while, we know what is wrong with Ravyn and I have her surgery scheduled for Sept 10, and I finally was able to get in contact with someone from the Guidance Dept at the HS to get Cait's schedule changed and now I know who to contact for the questions I have for Scott's SAT registration.
Baby steps!!!

Walking, work and lake today! My client finally got back to me, she forgot all about the date switch and was down the shore with her family- which made me so happy to hear! They need some fun in their lives after all of the health stuff she has happen to her in the past year and a half.

Teenagers are descending upon my house this afternoon too, so it will be loud but that is happy for me too.

Finish It Friday:
Ummmmmmmm............. Finishing coffee is always good! :tea:

Hi Laurie! Hope that the child transitions well into Kdg. DO you stay on at her PT or does the school take over from there? Hope you got all of your errands done! I am so woth you and the need to tidy!

Nancy- how was lunch with your DIL?? That hand bag sounds awesome and *perfect* for you!
Thanks for the good thoughts for my Ray :)

Phyllis- you are still making zucchini bread? wow, your crop must have been awesome! Scott planted kale and then decided that he is not that crazy about it, so Bunny has been loving it. Its good to get something in her instead of cheerios. She has become a cheerio addict!
Yeah, this driving thing is the pits! I can't wait for it to get a bit easier. I guess each time out that he comes back fine will make it a bit better. My mom still makes me call her to let her know I got home ok it its late at night or she knows I am tired. And you know what?? I do the same to her. LOL
(Told ya, I learned from the Queen of Neuroses and Panic!)

I LOVE your idea on Thursday!!

Trudy!!! How fun for your Tea leaf reading. I can't wait to hear the details! Hope that Heather will be able to find something for her that will work for carrying Mason.

Laurie! what a busy day!

Hugs to all of our fur-babies! Its been almost 2 years since we had to put down my girl and I still miss her terribly. Now that we have Ray's surgery scheduled I am trying to not worry about that. The surgery is going to be a long one and she has never been under anesthesia. Harley had horrible reactions to that but hopefully Ray will be A-OK.

Chris, no. the zucchini crop wasn't that great. but at least i actually GOT a few this year! i made about 14 loaves. two of those were made with zucchini from the grocery store. do you remember the photo of the mystery veg i had growing in my garden that was definitely NOT a zucchini? turned out to be PUMPKINS. thank you, chipmunk, for "planting" those seeds for me. don't think they'll get big, but they are cute!

Trudy, i want to know your fortune!!

just finished some dress shirt ironing, doing some more dress shirt washing, then that's it for laundry, for today, anyway. gotta do some vacuuming and piles-o'-paper clearing. and just saw a Pioneer Woman recipe for pot pie. i never made one, and i have some leftover roasted chicken, so i may try it for dinner tonight. i can't eat it, but Hubby might enjoy it. but this depends on how much i feel like making pie crust later today. and if i can think of anything to feed ME, while Hubby is eating pot pie.

wow, did we every have a storm light show last evening. i was sitting in the dark in the family room, watching the lightning when a big bolt came down right by my house. the lightning and thunder happened at exactly the same time. me, who never screams, actually SCREAMED!! :scared:

looks like sunshine later today. this is a good thing. hope you see some sunshine today, wherever you are.:becky:

Good morning - yesterday was horrible rain storm just as I had to drive to get the car serviced. The only good thing was traffic was slow no one was driving crazy. Car is in good shape it should be after a year it only has 4500 miles LOL. I am a walker when ever possible. The rain was so bad that I had to cancel my lunch with my DIL. She understood - flooding in her area so not fun to drive. Just came home. Finally got in a good walk after dinner. And yes I have to agree with you all it would be nice to have a family member from each profession. However I can tell you based on my sister's family that it is not that easy. Her son fixes air conditioning units and her daughter is this amazing hair dresser. But their lives are so hectic that she finds it hard to ask them to give up their time for her.

Chris I am glad your dog is going for her surgery I am sure she will be very happy when she gets home. All I know is that I am so glad I am not worrying about school starting. Good luck with the new school year. Senior year is exciting!

Phylis your zucchini bread sounds yummy. Too bad I am not a gardener nor a cook LOL!

Trudy I hope you find a good carrier for Heather. Sounds like fun though being near a pool.

Laurie you are so busy!

Have a great day!

Nancy, wonder whether you and i were in the same weather system? it was kind of spotty around here, but INTENSE! too bad it messed up your DIL lunch and plans. what a wacky weather summer this has been!

Morning ladies... had a great time at the Calico Cat yesterday, weather was great but we did not sit outside because of all the wasps!!! Darn things flock to the food as soon as it is served. My fortune was not too exciting, told me I had a loving husband, great kids and should be expecting another grandchild. Yikes!! I don't think I have the energy for that!! Told DD that she will be moving back to the West Coast and has to work on finding a job that her significant other would be interested in. That it would be a challenge to get him to move but it should happen. She needs to be here with her family. Also told her that she will have another child, a girl. This is the same tea leaf reader who predicted that she would have her first child a boy. So oh, oh here we go again?? Would love to have her back here with us so we can help her out with Mason! I don't want to raise the child, but would love to be there for her when needed!! I am not so sure that she can convince her man to leave Ontario, but she really wants it!!

Chris - I can't belive that it is the last week of summer either!! :hurt: I want it to be summer all year!!!! Sounds like you will have a noisy day with teenagers filling you house!! But at least you know where everyone will be!! Enjoy it!!

Phylis - Want to come and do my :washing: ? I have a ton with Mason here he goes through 3 or 4 outfits a day!! It kinda nice to fold baby things though!! Cute that you got mystery pumpkins!! Think you will be able to carve them for Halloween?? Isn't it scary when the lightening stikes so close!! That happened to me when we were getting out of the car at DD place in Ontario, I bet I jumped 10 feet in the air!! DD killed herself laughing at me :becky: Not funny to me though!!

Nancy - Sorry that you had to cancel with your DIL guess we will have to wait to see that NJ Devils handbag! Hope you see some sun today!!

As for the search for the carrier it was disappointing at BabiesRUs they did not have much of a selection, so we will continue our search here at home. Have a great day everyone!!

We've had a few storms here the past couple days but today it's blue skies!

So my oldest turns 7 today! He's growing so fast. I can't believe that he will be starting 1st grade in a little over a week. I've had a busy day getting ready for his party with family tonight. I'm taking a little break because my back is killing me from working on his cake. I'm making a Minion since he wanted a Despicable Me theme. So far it's turning out good so fingers crossed, not too much more to do on it. But still a lot to do to get ready for tonight.

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Stephanne, seems like yesterday that my 30-something son was turning 7!! hope you all had a great birthday together! i'm going to have to Google "minion" and see what that is!
