hey there, O-zies!
I am waving to everyone from another chilly, but sunny morning in NJ. I am happy this morning. Not for any reason other than how much I love my family.
Ever feel like that, just full of love? I am sure that you have. It is a nice feeling

Yesterday was a nice one to be outside, although the plants are looking like they are well past their prime. I spent a lot of time clearing all of the dead stuff from the lilies. Maybe if I do a meticulous job with that now, the little red beetles won't eat them all next year.
I was behind the little fence on my neighbor's side when Scott pulled into the driveway. As he got out of his car, I went "scccccooooooooootttttt" in a spooky voice. Darn kid glances over and says "Hey Mom." My attempt to scare him went about as well as Cait's attempt to scare me the day before. We were doing the puzzle and I left the room for a minute. When I got back, she wasn't so I walked back out. I hear a really loud clunk and then see her try to jump up from under the table. She wanted to startle me but only ended up hitting her head on the table instead.

I guess that is Story #1 why I am feeling the love for my family. Story #2 would be our Pictionary game last night. Another one where we ended up laughing so much we all cried. It started out that Gary and I could not get off of the first three spots, and the kids were halfway around the board. Then we caught up and and left them in the dust!
The funniest drawing of the night was Scott's poodle (not as funny as my werewolf but close!) and the best body language was Caitlyn dancing around while drawing "Lather." Scott had every darn word close to lather- shampoo, wash, soap, soapy bubbles, lots of soapy bubbles, etc and she was scribbling circles and bubbles and swirls and putting her entire body into it.
My stomach was killing me from laughing.

No plans again today. Still no washing machine either. Gary called the repair guy and two of the three parts came in but the most important one, the computer, can't be found- it is in backorder and there is no ETA on it. He is trying to find one somewhere but no one has them. Great. :mmph: Thankfully, Scott ran two loads at Leah's and he will have to keep doing that until it is running again.

Gratitudes:
-the weather
-my family
-laughter

xoxo

Trudy- yay for your rain! I hope that it gets everything good and soaked and that the air is nice and clean again. I don't like the shorter days either. I have my therapy lamp ready to roll when I need it but I prefer the sun and warmth as you know and understand too.
That must have been startling to hear sirens wake you up. I am glad to hear that whatever it was was small.
10K is a long hike, esp in the humidity. Did you feel like a wet rag when you were done? The Jacuzzi must have felt so good. Ha! "The Dreaded Something for Dinner" what did you decide on? I did tacos and my kitchen sink is filled with dishes ATM. Pictionary took precedence over cleaning up last night.
Hope that you had a nice FaceTime with Heather, are the boys any closer to knowing what they are doing for school?

Felis- I am sorry that the people in your country are so divided. The US can relate to that. It must have felt wonderful to get out into the fresh air for a walk, did you take your dogs too?
Caitlyn never gets rid of the spiders in her room, she calls them her spider-friends so no judgment from me about the ones in your cats' room.LOL I do my best to relocate any bugs. I have a small plastic cup that Gary wrote "Friend Transport" on that I reuse to trap them in and bring them to the patio.
I am joining Trudy in the virtual hug to you too  My family/extended family is very huggy too. Hugs and kisses whenever we greet each other as well as say goodbye. Thinking about not hugging my mom makes me want to cry.
But virtual hugs are nice too so here you go~~~~~

Kay- Part of me wants to cut my hair off so when you say that you can shampoo and fluff your hair up, I am so jealous! Then I remember that my curly/frizzy hair wouldn't do that even if it was short. But I am happy for you!
Oh my, I am sending your family big, healing hugs. How scary that they all seem to have COVID and how easy it can spread :( Keep us posted how they are doing.
Are the fires any better yet? From the news I am seeing it doesn't seem like it is but one can hope.

Nancy- What are you watching on Netflix?
The weather sure has been nice (even if my toes are very cold right now!)
That is so scary for your friend to have the BRCA1 gene. But she knows and the oncologists will best know how to treat her. Sending good thoughts to her too. Your poor brother IL too. I hope that their home is spared. 2020 really sucks.

Cheryl- you must be counting the hours, good luck with all of it. I am giving Daisy so many belly rubs right now! Poor baby.
Hugs!

Morning ladies from a very soggy Vancouver Island! It looks like it is :rain: all day again today, but that's ok, it's supposed to be partly sunny tomorrow. I will be quick here today as Heather has already face timed with me and the boys are happily eating their lunch now. No word yet as to when school will start or if it will start at all where they are. I am off to the craft store this morning and then a dreaded trip to Walmart to pick up something that I just can't find anywhere else :mmph: Then home for the rest of the day and I will see what project will get my attention today LOL.

Chris - Happy to hear that the sun is shining for you once more! Too funny about trying to scare Scott!! I hope that Caitlyn did not get a big bump on her head from trying to scare you LOL. I need to get out and clean up my day lilies they are all done and looking pretty scraggly!! I made the decision to have Hot Dogs last night, good thing DH likes them! Mine were wrapped in bacon and he had a bun on his served with french fries, he was happy LOL. Tonight might be a taco night and then tomorrow we will go shopping for groceries together, so that might be a more expensive trip than my usual online order LOL.

Better skedaddle and get out the door before the traffic gets really busy through town for the weekend. Lots of people are spending their weekends camping at the Lake and the traffic can be ridiculous!! Have a great Friday everyone! TTYL!!

I am back home... meds picked up, grocery shopping at commissary done, and all the food put away. Whew.... long and busy morning. Temps were already up into the mid-90's by the time I got home. Lots of smoke still in the air from the fires in CO. Took time to grab a bit of lunch and now I am ready to collapse and veg for the rest of the day. Must admit it was great to just run a brush through the hair and I was ready to go.

Was a happy camper to find a large refill bottle of liquid Soft Soap at the commissary. They are so hard to find. This one is golden milk and honey. They were out of a lot of stuff but was glad to find most of what I really needed to have. They already have the Halloween candy stuff out - but I just walked right by it all... LOL... somehow a bag of Reece's Cups found its way into my cart.

Chris, hope Cait didn't hurt her head too much when she tried to scare you. Yikes... you all can keep those web-weavers at your place. Not a fan of spiders/insects after having a few close calls with scorpions, black widows, and tarantulas when I was young.

Trudy, glad you got the face time with the kids already. Wish you could send some of that rain our way

Oh, shoot... my printer just came up with a new update so have to take care of that. CY

Good morning, beautiful ladies!
I'm ashamed to admit, but my Friday was totally wasted! I was mostly sleepily (after work) and even I missed the TV show I'm watching. I also spent a lot of time looking and wondering which book to start, but never chose. I don't know why I struggle so much, but just can't find enthusiasm to read or scrap again, both are my favorite hobbies, but I'm feels tired and jaded from them in the moment.
BUT this was yesterday! It's sunny Saturday now, and I'm already had late wake up, first cup of coffee and my morning yoga done! Hooray for today me! I'll post this and then have to spend the rest of the day in gardening, as like you already said summer flowers are all withered and need to be cleaned. I hope the hot weather to not thwart my plans!

Chris, my heart is singing when I see you happy! You are so funny and unordinary family. ITA with others, hope Cait's head is all right!

Trudy, I hope that your shopping was successful! I send my family without me LOL ! Not sorry at all. What project cached your attention at final?

Kay, so nice to find the brand soap you prefer! Hahaha, LOL these treats always find way to our carts! :choclove
So sorry to hear that many members of your family are sick! But I hope they all will be light cases! These cases are much more often! ::grouphug

Nancy, I'm sending good thoughts for your friend too! So sad to hear this, wishing her fast recovery! But with sure it will be difficult battle! Life sucks sometimes!
