hey there, O-zies!
I am waving to everyone from another chilly, but sunny morning in NJ. I am happy this morning. Not for any reason other than how much I love my family.
Ever feel like that, just full of love? I am sure that you have. It is a nice feeling
Yesterday was a nice one to be outside, although the plants are looking like they are well past their prime. I spent a lot of time clearing all of the dead stuff from the lilies. Maybe if I do a meticulous job with that now, the little red beetles won't eat them all next year.
I was behind the little fence on my neighbor's side when Scott pulled into the driveway. As he got out of his car, I went "scccccooooooooootttttt" in a spooky voice. Darn kid glances over and says "Hey Mom." My attempt to scare him went about as well as Cait's attempt to scare me the day before. We were doing the puzzle and I left the room for a minute. When I got back, she wasn't so I walked back out. I hear a really loud clunk and then see her try to jump up from under the table. She wanted to startle me but only ended up hitting her head on the table instead.
I guess that is Story #1 why I am feeling the love for my family. Story #2 would be our Pictionary game last night. Another one where we ended up laughing so much we all cried. It started out that Gary and I could not get off of the first three spots, and the kids were halfway around the board. Then we caught up and and left them in the dust!
The funniest drawing of the night was Scott's poodle (not as funny as my werewolf but close!) and the best body language was Caitlyn dancing around while drawing "Lather." Scott had every darn word close to lather- shampoo, wash, soap, soapy bubbles, lots of soapy bubbles, etc and she was scribbling circles and bubbles and swirls and putting her entire body into it.
My stomach was killing me from laughing.
No plans again today. Still no washing machine either. Gary called the repair guy and two of the three parts came in but the most important one, the computer, can't be found- it is in backorder and there is no ETA on it. He is trying to find one somewhere but no one has them. Great. :mmph: Thankfully, Scott ran two loads at Leah's and he will have to keep doing that until it is running again.
Gratitudes:
-the weather
-my family
-laughter
xoxo
