You are all going to be very proud of me. I turned my alarm off this morning and slept in. I have nowhere to be (yay!!) and nothing major to do. Aside from a few things around the house (laundry/scooping the litter box and lawn/dishes), if nothing else gets done it is not the end of the world. I needed it. By the time I went to the vet in the afternoon, I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open.

PT went fine-- all set with my resistance bands and exercises to be done at home. Vet appt was sad. Cordelia is fine, her abscess is back and only needs abx for a week. The sad part was the vet had to get a needle aspiration of the lump and the poor little girl was squeaking so much. For the record, rats don't squeak like they do in the movies unless they are in distress or if they are playing- a pet peeve of mine that they make rats seem sinister. Dill was not happy being held down and jabbed with a needle. I can't say that I blame her what so ever! I am glad that we took her in, I would have been worried if the lump got much bigger while Caitlyn was away.

So that is it from me. I need to do a bit of yard work this morning. I have to fertilize the veggie plants, turn the compost, that sort of stuff. I would love to chill and scrap a bit this afternoon. I am so uninspired- even the challenges are not helping my scrap-block. *grumbles*

Wishing all of you a happy day!xo

Hi Kay-- I hope that you make it three days in a row in here. Enjoy produce shopping! Did you get any good books at the library?

Felis- I need to have some sort of schedule too. I set my alarm on the weekdays because if I don't, then I feel like my days are spent flailing about. Cait is going through that too and is going to get back on her schedule as soon as she is gets back home from camping.
I am noticing the days getting shorter too but as long as it is still warm outside, I am happy.

Nancy- oh no! That is not good news that your other knee is in pain. I hope the orthopedist can help without having to do another replacement so soon. But if you need it, you know that you can handle it and how much better you will feel.
Yup, you are correct. I forget how long ago it was before we all got so sick. 12 years. I was much younger and less stressed back then. heh
Is Luther spoiled a bit? :D He is such a good boy, give him some belly rubs from me.

Jean- why is it always so hard to get Drs appts? I have been trying to make a gyn appt and between my ins. co. not being accepted and not having any available (the last one I tried, the NP was not open until Nov and the Drs had no openings until after the new year!!) it is crazy. But it is worth it when you get good news!! Really happy to hear that you got cleared.
Love the new MM piece on your blog.
I am going to be good about the exercises and I am LMBO at your comment about what I would tell my mom, shoes on the other foot and all LOL.

More good news with Caitlyn's bloodwork-- peanut allergy also came back negative. So the hives are just a weird immune system thing, I guess? She goes back on Aug 12 so hopefully, we will have a better understanding then.

good morning - yesterday was a day of binging season one of Stranger Things. It was as good as everyone has said. I like science fiction and this was good. The kids were really good. I like how easily they wove the three story lines to get to the same point. Cant wait to delve into season two. I got so caught up I forgot to go to sign up for my wellness swimming program. I will do it today. Then soon my sister will call for our weekly call. Missed talking while in Alaska. I got more pages done but now come the hard part really hard to pick a few pages while traveling through Denali.

Chris congrats on turning off the alarm. My DH did the same thing this am. So glad you are going to get your dirt time in today. Glad the vet turned out pretty well. And yes having a needle stuck in cannot be fun! I hope some mojo comes back to you and you get scrapping.

Jean yes I am liking the Yankees but wow they seem to always have some one new on the DL. They seem to need some pitching but at the deadline they did nothing. OH well. I am seeing that the Indians are doing pretty well. Congrats on changing appt times so you could get to art! But so happy that the doctor gave you such a glowing report!

Felis hope the BBQ went well! Enjoy the weekend!

Kay how fun to have spent time with family. You really are my organization guru. I am reading a Nora Roberts novel Whiskey Beach. I am liking her style of writing.

Have a great day all!

Yep, I am back again today! Not sure if it is good or not - but back to waking up early. Could be a sign that my body is feeling better and not needing as much sleep - or the stress level is lower now that Aug is here.

Took time yesterday morning to do a bit of clean up in the backyard. The plum tree - which had not produce fruit in the past 8 years since we planted it - is overflowing with plums. The strong winds we have been having caused a lot of fruit to drop. Had to clean up the wind-falls so they don't attract pests. The neighborhood rabbit has been back there eating a lot of them. I checked the plums but they need at least 1-2 more weeks before they are ripe enough to pick. Guess the end of the drought is the reason for the fruit developing now.

Picked up several books at the library. Only to get home and discovered that I missed one book that is due today! So another trip but that is okay as another 2 books I had on hold have come in. I picked up a couple of books by Alex Kava. I had just finished reading her 'Creed' series [about a dog trainer/tracker] and really like them. Not so sure about her detective series. The first one didn't pull right in like the Creed books did. I just finished re-reading the MacKenzies family series by Linda Howard. Just wish she would finish writing about the rest of the family.

Will combine the trip out to get gas and then the veggie market and grocery store. We may be having rain in the afternoon {monsoon season] every day this week... so that means getting my errands done in the mornings.

Nancy, I really enjoyed Whiskey Beach - also like Come Sundown by Nora Roberts. She just released Under Currents and I put it on hold. Glad you are getting your photos sorted as to what you want to scrap right away. Can't wait to see them.

Chris, glad your last PT when okay. Good news on Caitlyn's test results. So glad it was not a peanut allergy.

One of my previous designers is back to designing again after a couple of years off - so am working on some of her things. LOL Always loved her creations.

DH isn't home yet from the weekly bird survey. Don't know if he'll have seen anything different, but the weather is gorgeous. I'm feeling a little chilly right now with the windows open but that meant last night I worked a little in my studio on the new larger piece. Ooops, DH just arrived. More later.

Hi girls, Sorry
Trouble with the web connection. I'm prepare comment at wordpad, but I wasn't able to read yours. So sorry!

Dad is bought some new appliance: raclette grill, first time I ever hear about that. Good that uncle Google knows everything. It's a funny (but in my opinion unnecessary) Switzerland's trend to grill different cheeses. We eat lot of cheese, but I really don't see why is necessary different grill for that. Maybe there is something more which we just not get it yet?! Anyway! The days are still very hot, but at the evening rained for about an hour and temperatures dropped a lot. I really enjoying this weather!
Except that it has a summer storm. In my town was weak, but in others have fallen trees and small damages. The web provider always needs lot of time to fix the connection. It's the fastest internet, but use cables and when preventive turns off have to be start by the provider, neighborhood by neighborhood. So let's catch all I missed!

Chris, I'm a really proud of you for getting additional sleep! I can't imagine how hard is to be sick all the time, but I can at least partly to understand how you feels about the lack of energy. I feels tired very easily, and I'm so slow. My mom wash the floor for 30 seconds and I needs 1 hour and half, for the exact same results. It's so frustrating! They said me that have four types of human temperaments and looks like I'm from lazies - Melancholic. So yes I know what is this. OH, about the little Cordelia, I'm totally not unfamiliar with them, but I'm had cat that react at the same way, looks like as have humans with fears from needles, some animals also have fear of vets and procedures. She was so shocked so I had to quit from tests. The PT was short, but hope helpful for your future home exercises!
And two back side notes, I'm not forget that. The firebugs eat mostly Tilia tree, it's an old tree and we not use it much. And I love to see others shared my garden with me, so they are really cute creatures and always welcomed! About my paint messy photo: I had to refresh the bottom side of peak above the door, and everybody tells me to use gloves because I only had a brush. But I'm not child to accept advice :). And then tried to clean it up from one of my hand with soap and its spreads to both of them :) . I had to use gasoline on the final to clean all this LOL.

Kay, your summer page is so cute! I'm so impressed from you creativity! So many pages only for month, WOW! As others, I also hope that the new hair will bring you new mood! Good luck with the tomorrow shopping! It's always nice to see designers go back! Have fun scraping! Oh it's exciting about the plums! Did you plan to do jam or something? Speaking about detective book series I'm so excited about Robert Galbraith/J. K. Rowling new book!!! I love The Strike Series, but have to wait until the book sale this winter.

Jean, so good about the good results on the gastroenterologist check! I love the new art! The hidden messages on it, and these colors! LOL ''Click on the image to see a larger version.'' LOL , this note was left for me I firstly struggle staring at the small one. For me it's more like landscape map, very pretty! It's chilly here too, we even had to close the windows for the night time.

Nancy, yes you use template, but I have few of them, and it isn't easy to make them to work so good and so naturally with the photos, as you do it! Do you prepare this book as a gift for the others girls that shared this travel? I'm sure they will love it! Oh, sorry to hear that the other knee is going more painful now! At least this time you know what to expect from the post surgery time.

So far I hate this month, and the summer! I wasn't watch the news for a long time, and now learning about new disease at the farms and all troubles, and I'm angry and very sad, and in awful mood.
