TGIF! I think

Seriously, *one* of these days I will get my act together. I am hoping that if I say that over and over (and over) it will come true. I feel like I have no idea what i did, did I go food shopping yesterday or was that the day before? I peeked at my to-do list from yesterday and yup, food shopping. 2 loads of laundry, trip to the vet for Jaida's meds.
Oh yeah, and the *best* part of yesterday /total snark -- finding out that Gary is in the donut hole for Medicare and his insulin will cost us $800+ for a 3 month supply. Great. he called the ins co. and well- they can't do a damned thing about that. We have tried before contacting the Pharmaceutical co. and they can't do anything either. We looked at a couple of Canadian drug co's and they seem to be the same price as here.

The only "good" thing is that with the loss of Caitlyn's Social Security income as a minor, we drop into the Medicaid range so we have have to apply for that. Then we we all be on Caitlyn's lovely and easy to use plan if we get approved. /more snark

Gary is all about moving to Canada- between the US politics and our crappy healthcare system, he is done. I keep telling him that CA won't want us hahaha!!!:fish:

But there is a good spot for today, and that is I am seeing Christopher! My brother and he are coming up here this morning, picking me up and going to a small zoo/park. Nancy- have you ever been to Van Saun in Bergen Co? I used to go when my kids were little but haven't been there in years. That is making me so happy, love that kid so darn much! I charged the battery of my ancient point and shoot so hopefully i will be able to get a few pictures of him there. Might not be the best quality and who knows how long the charge will last but something is almost always better than nothing
I almost bailed on them, but I am really glad that I didn't.

Anyone have fun plans for today or the weekend? Can't wait to hear!

Hmph, I never made it back here yesterday, did I?

Rae- you have a bsy house with Beckham again. Had to chuckle about his teeth. Ray has so few teeth left, she lost a bunch then had to have 6 removed, but darn she can gnaw on a bone or pizza crust (or tiny rocks!) like the youngsters can.
That is awesome that you can take him and Taz for walks together.
I missed Trudy's photo of wine and water but I bet it was sublime!

Trudy- I hope that you had a wonderful and relaxing day at the beach, with all of your hard work- it is well deserved. How funny to see old friends who are now Mayors and that. I saw that one of my brother's friends ran for town council a few years back and it was that weird "shifting" feeling.

jean-how hard it must be for you to see your sister decline with dementia.
I hope that she was having a good day yesterday and was able to enjoy your visit.

good morning - I am here with just a quick note before I am off for the day with my DIL. yesterday went to the grocery store and vets and got gas while Luther was at the In-Out suds getting his bath. He yelled at me the whole drive home and then at home too. Too funny. Got in two good walks. Talked to my sister so I got to vent and that was awesome!

Chris have fun at the zoo and no I have never been there. We are going birding so I will be seeing some wildlife. Of course I go to charge the batteries and my DH has lost the cord for the charger so I can't charge the Nikon. And would he get up and look no. Really! I know where my stuff is I guess since it is not his he does not care so much! Giantly irritating!

Trudy I am loving the photos on Facebook. Wine time too cool. Beautiful actually! Your MG is awesome. Glad you are getting the so much done and still time to rest. Bet you look awesome with the new eyebrows!

Rae have fun doggie sitting! I know Taz will be happy have his friend for a while.

Jean hope your weather is improving!

Good morning, ladies. I can't believe it's only 9:00 am LOL. I've had 2 coffees, fed the dogs, showered & dressed, went out into the yard with the dogs, turned on computers, took the dogs for a walk, cleaned dog poop off my shoe (yuck), came home and brushed the dogs, gave them a treat, grabbed another coffee and am finally sitting down. It's a scorcher out there today so not sure how much fun it will be later at an outdoor party we're going to. But no matter how hot it'll be, we'll be going to the party to wish our friends well as they will be moving in a few weeks up to the interior (Kamloops). They sold their house, quit their jobs and bought a home with property up there. With the lower cost for property and less expenses, only one of them will continue to work so Holly gets to stay home, raise all her animals (and probably take in more). Sounds like a wonderful plan. I'm so happy for them. I'll take a few photos, enjoy a few beers and hang out for a few hours. I don't want to leave the dogs alone too long. Taz is used to being alone but not sure what Beckham is like so don't want to stress him out. I'm sure he'll be fine but I feel as a I'm babysitting I don't like to leave him much. I am going to pop out in the morning for a bit. Ever since visiting Colony Farm recently, I have thought about early morning sun and the flowers there. So a friend and I am going over at 8:00 am and will enjoy a few hours taking photos before the sun gets too high in the sky. So you wont' hear from me tomorrow morning but will check in later in the day.

Chris - if you move to Canada it better be on the west coast Wouldn't that be awesome to hang out! Enjoy your visit to the zoo with your brother and hope you are able to get some pics.

Nancy - I can relate to the lost cord issue. That's why my hubs is not allowed to touch my photog stuff. Enjoy your outing and I bet you'll get some awesome photos!

Sister was good yesterday, but while there we discovered her phone service (& Internet) was out. Called AT&T who were supposed to get out to fix it this morning. Fingers crossed. At least DIL is back now and she takes good care of things.

Chris, super that you're getting that time with Christopher. Sure hope the camera cooperates. Most of my pix are just with a basically point & shoot, so I think that should be fine. The whole medical insurance thing is just plain crazy.

Nancy, the thing with the cord would drive me nuts! Sounds like you're having a good day though.

Rae, you already had so much done! Taking flower photos tomorrow should be wonderful. Beautiful subject in early light? Wow. And your photos are so gorgeous to start with. Have fun later today too.
