eep, the month is really flying by. And while the sun is shining, it is still really cold. The lake has been closed the last two days since the water tests have been bad. I really hope that the water is OK today because I need some "water time."

Cait and I did a great job on the house cleaning for work, and I was all set to hit the lake. Then Gary bailed on driving with Scott (no surprise) and that just pissed me off to no end. I know in my heart he is sick but sometimes I just wish that everything didn't fall on me. But i had a nice convo with scott on the way down to Leah's and then listened to some good music on his car stereo nice and loud. His stereo is much better than the one in my car, so it was kind of cool to drive with the windows down and

Today I am working then lake????? If not I have no idea of what to do. I really cannot sit in the house another day. I could *clean* my house, but that is not fun. Meh.

Finish It Friday:
laundry!! (but first, I must finish :tea:)

How about all of you? What do you have to finish?

Good morning Laurie! Happy Anniversary to you both!!!

Phyllis- eeeeek, that is cold!!!!!! 47*?? We were inthe 50's when I woke up yesterday and I froze! We are getting some red tomatoes, the cherries, mostly. But we have so much more just hanging out, green.
I'd love to ask you what you are dreaming about, hope that they are not too crazy. LOL But yes, at least you are getting REM sleep.
Happy Anniversary to you too.

Hope that everyone who pops in here today is having a fab day!!

BRRRRR!!! AGAIN!!!!! but it's supposed to be 78 degrees today, so Chris, maybe you'll make it into the lake without turning blue. i hope so. i know you treasure those "lake moments." i, on the other hand, am longing for some woods and mountains!! Trudy, here i come!!!!

Laurie, i've got a hawk and a baby in my yard. i don't usually see them i hear them a lot. and then the blasted CROWS come around to try to chase them away. i hate crows. HATE 'EM!!!

today, not quite sure what i'm doing. i think i'll make some more zucchini bread with my last three zucchini. then i guess i'll finally put away the toys that The Grandmen were playing with during their visit here. then maybe i'll start the hands-and-knees part of the edging i need to do outside. bleh. i don't look forward to that job. but it looks like a great day to get outside. so i'm gonna get outside!!

hope everybody gets to something you actually WANT to do today! eating a donut counts!:becky:

Good morning - The temp this morning is low 60s and for me that is too chilly for the middle of Aug and now I have a summer cold that has me coughing all night. A real bummer. I have been getting in my walks so that is good but I need to sleep but cant because as soon as I am flat I cough. OH well I will be gone soon. Not much else going on. Still scrapping my France vacation.

Chris hope you get time at the lake. I agree it is so much fun singing loudly as you drive!

Laurie did you figure out what type of hawk was sitting in the tree? I am sure you toes were cold

Phylis enjoy your outside time. I agree with you I really dislike it when those crows chase the hawks. How fun to have the baby too!

Have a great Friday!

just a quickie- my husband brought me a dozen long stem red roses at work, then I got home to find sparkly roses- another dozen on the kitchen table and then when I went to get a bottle of wine- more roses in the basement. Got to go give him some attention.

Laurie! Wow to all those roses. How special you are, eh?

Nancy, hope you are feeling better and that cold goes away soon.

It's been chilly today, but still nice enough. Way better than the beautiful day yesterday that I spent hours of in the dentist's office getting a crown replaced. Yuck. Still tender gums today.

Hope everyone is having a good day!
