Daily Ooos: Friday, August 11

What. A. Week.
Good/bad/ugly. All wrapped into 7 days. I sure as heck don't know whether I am coming or going.

Actually, I am sitting on my butt typing away but give me a few minutes when my day really begins and it will all go

It rained on and off most of yesterday so I puttered about here. The herb clippings are doing really well and I painted some little jars to plant them in. I love the roots on the thyme- they are purple! I started a lemon verbena cutting last week and it's also growing roots.
*cheers on the clipping* Roots! Roots! Roots!
I love plants. And I love yard work. This afternoon, I am heading to my friend's house (the guy I clean for). He is disabled and his yard is getting overgrown, so I offered to do some weeding. Just because.

Good news from my mom. She called me to let me know it was safe to talk to her again. Hahaha! That is where I get it from. I am glad that she is feeling better. No news on either house although Cait's is 99.9999% not happening. (Yeah, I admit I have mixed feelings, but I am more disappointed for them than relieved for me. If that makes sense)

It looks to be gorgeous today. North Jersey has been very, very lucky that we haven't experienced the same awful climate problems as many other places are. The photos out from Maui are devastating, same with Norway.

hehe, I should shut up now, I am rambling alllll over the place here.

Today, I am grateful that I have a roof over my head and I am grateful for all of the opportunities that led me here.

@vickyday Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry that you tested positive. Did the Dr put you on antivirals? I hope that you are feeling better today. How is Mark feeling? Good thoughts that he doesn't get it too.

I also get a kick out of the girl in from of the burning building. These are old-school memes. We might as well be talking about VCRs and Walkmen
*big hugs to you and Adrienne* How hard it must have been to say goodbye to Braden. He has his car with him, right? He'll probably be home often -- to do laundry if nothing else LOL It's still not the same though. Tell A I am thinking of her. xo
I'd bet every last dollar that Ava will keep you all on your toes.
That stinks that Steph moved farther than initially expected but it sounds like she is in a very good place where she is. I'd also bet all my money that Ava will be heading back at some point in the near-ish future and you will be able to tag along You could even meet in the middle for an overnight.

@BrightEyes Sounds like the steroid shots are helping, so glad for that. Congrats to DS#1 and yay for having him come for a long visit next month.
I never thought I would say this, but I am actually looking fwd to getting the updated booster when it comes out in Sept/Oct. I have been hearing a lot of people getting Covid again and the new variant. I'll get the flu/Covid at the same time as I did last year and hopefully, that will get me through the winter.

Vicky-- glad the Dr gave you some meds. Take good care and rest!

Good morning all.

I woke up a little earlier than usual for me but I was ready to get up. Yes, Chris @faerywings that's the meme I was talking about. I just love that little girl's face. They were some of the OG's and there used to be some funny ones. If I go back on my IG feed, I have most of the funny ones on there. Do you remember Tuna, the dog with an overbite? His owner started making memes about him and he went viral.



We used to have more fun with his memes. My other favorite was Morgan Freeman and it was about somebody thinking your post was about them. I think I have that one printed out and in one of my 4 x 4 albums. I have several Instagram albums.

I need to go - I started this at 9:30 and it's now noon. Adrienne FaceTimed me and we talked forever. They're still in Arkansas and she took me on a walk with her. I'll try to pop back in later. Hugs

Good morning ladies. I won't be around as much for awhile, I am taking a bit of a break while we deal with the listing of our home and possibly selling in the next month, then we'll fly out to Calgary to buy a home, taking possession just before or after our cruise in Oct. It's going to be a very busy time for us. Send positive vibes our way, hopefully we'll get a sale quickly.

I'll pop in here and there.

Not feeling much better yet. I took my first dose of meds yesterday. I have a ton of vitamins to take and my IBS stomach issues don't like it at all! My second dose of meds this morning made me quite nauseous so the doctor called in a prescription for that, too! It's crazy that the meds I'm taking to feel better make me sick, lol!
Today I am thankful for Mark who has been running around picking stuff up for me. Praying he doesn't get what I have! So far so good!
