yeah, yeah, I know. I have the date wrong. It was deliberate this time around. I want a Reset on August. Pleeease can I have a Reset?????? Summer cannot be over, It just can't!!!!!

Well, I have to say, you ladies are very lucky. This morning I am off to meet my BFF -- also a huge Summer Lover and Winter Hater-- and I am sure we will be moaning and groaning for the majority of the time about how we don't want summer to end. I can keep my mouth shut :tape: here and you wont have to hear it.

Other than meeting for coffee and the the last day at the lake, not much going on here. I cleaned out a couple of kitchen cabinets yesterday, my goodness my life is exciting!

I really need to finish cleaning my office space..... god only knows what lost papers I will find there. Maybe the property tax forms I have been ignoring all week....

Phyllis- ooooh cold, cold, cold by you!! Have you looked into the continuous glucose monitoring? I checked it out for Gary, I thought it was a very cool concept. He smacked it down though. I guess between being on a pump and having a PICC line, he has enough tubes and things poling into his skin. I liked that it would alert you if your sugar was dropping while you are sleeping, although I guess that is not an issue for you?
Hope you stay cool today. It never really got hot yesterday here, so hopefully it will do the same for you today.

Eva- that photo is perfect. It really captures him at this moment. I know how you feel too- like being happy but waiting for the other shoe to drop. I truly hope that things continue to stay good for all of you!!!

Nana-- I saw your siggie in another thread and about spit my coffee out!!

Jen-- as long as there is always enough !!!!!!!!!!!!! to go around, I am happy happy!!!

Chris - I know time flies by too fast, but your attempt at stealing a whole 30 days did not go unnoticed ... were unfortunately the 31st, not the 1st ;)

Really Chris a reset on August??? I don't want to, that would mean more vacation, kids at home .... no I'm glad school started finally again :nod:

Here we had the last day of 3 of my 4 boys at their current school. They are switching schools because my eldest got bullied, pretty bad and up to the point that it happened every day (with kicking and punching). The teachers didn't believed him and some blamed him. We were told by the parents of another child at school. Apperently it is happening for 2 years now :cry: really sad. Since we know, he doesn't want to go anymore so he has been home for a couple of days now. And now we know too why he was not sleeping well, he was scared to sleep because he would have nightmares ....

Luckely we had a good conversation at an other school, the boys are excited to go there and can't wait for the weekend to be over :).
Today we also went shopping for birthday present for the triplets ... a bit more then a week and then they'll turn 5 ... time flies

Giggles Chris !!!! It's not that bad really ... I'm glad I'll still have 2 at home when the rest are in school but I'm with you on the summer holidays thing. I'm so glad it's only August 1rst whoooohooooooooooooo!!! I'm not sure where you live but here in Alberta it gets down to -35 or more some days and it's so cold it's just nasty!!!!!! I hate winter!!!!!!!!!!'. Ok ok we can share exclamation marks I'm guessing that's going to be the first thing to go on my iPhone lol!!!!!
 
Chris, i was doing my roundandround walking this morning, trying to figure out how hubby and i can escape here for December, January and February every year. can't figure it out. it seems to take $$$$!! i am dreading winter. i hate it. HATE IT!!! :rant:

Alegna, SO nice to see you here! just jump in and talk about anything you feel like talking about! the bullying thing sounds awful. what our kids go through sometimes. but it IS good that you have the oportunity to get them over to a new school. i hope they have a better time in their new surroundings.

Jen, please bottle your energy and enthusiasm and put it on Amazon so i can buy a case of it!! (!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb::becky:)

well, Hubby has taken today off, in order to use up his enormous number of vacation days that he's accumulated over the years.) he's gone to do his laps in the neighborhood pool and then to the library to read and research. that means he's not under my feet until about noon!! i was thinking of suggesting that we go walk around the zoo after lunch, but it's going up to 93degress today, so nuts to that. my plan is to monitor the indoor temps here at home, and when it hits 73 degrees, the little old window AC is going on. hopefully for the last time this season.

Morning ladies... a beautiful sunny day for the last day of August! I slept in until 7:30 this morning and actually woke up without the headache that I have been experiencing for the past three or four mornings. I slept with my mouth appliance in last night because I think I am clenching in my sleep again. Hence the headaches! Some of you may remember that I had that trouble with my jaw some time back and now it seems to be flaring up again. Hopefully wearing my mouth thingy will correct this problem! MIL and FIL are coming today, she has a few things she want's me to help her with. Her church is closing and she wants me to design a bookmark to be given away to each of the members of the congregation. Sad time for her as she and her father and mother were a big part of the United Church and now it is all coming to an end along with many other Church's in the province and Canada wide!

Chris - Have a great visit with your BFF, don't complain too much about the summer being over, perhaps you will have a very nice September and you can enjoy it out in your garden. Hope you get your office all cleaned up today and you find those missing papers!!

Angela - How terribly sad that your son has gone through such bullying!! I truly hope that the new school will be great for all of your boys! Happy birthday to the triplets!!

Phylis - doesn't it suck that it costs $$$$ to get away from the winter!! LOL I think that we should be able to trade places with people who live in the warm climates and they should experience the winter where we live! Think any of them would go for that idea?? I am going to take your advice for the day and enjoy my Friday off, enjoy life, enjoy a glass or perhaps two of wine and I am ordering in Chinese for us and the In-Laws.

Jen - I lived in Saskatchewan for 28 years, born here on Vancouver Island, but hubby is an RCMP member and got transferred out there for most of his career. I do not miss the winters in prairie at all!!!! So glad to be home again, we made some wonderful friends in Sask. The best people in the world are from the prairie, so friendly and kind, but I missed my mountains and lakes and would never leave here again. Hope your winter is not a bad one this year!

Marie - :wave: hope your day at work is a good one and your boss stays in his office today!!

Better go get some breakfast then I am going to try to do some scrapping today, yippee!! :wave:
 
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee TRUDY you are so LUCKY I LOVE LOVE LOVE VANCOUVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So gorgeous there, I grew up in Chilliwack BC (Fraser Valley) and the winters were mild and we went to Van alot... this past March my sister and I flew to Vancouver and walked to Grandville Island every day. I also watch Housewives of Vancouver only to catch a glimpse of the most beautiful city in the world. (well my world) LOL

Phylis... Come to my house and I will give you all the energy you need... I need LOTS of it having 9 children and a very fiesty DH. hahahhahahhahahhahhahahhahha giggles!!!!!
 
LOL! I'm not sure that I could do another month of August either. However, I'm thinking Miss Chris is very, very creative today.
 
Chris, I guess you did not have much success with your August reset LOL
we're a bunch of lazy ladies who don't want to go through it again LOL

One good thing though : I listened to you and completed my 6th august challenge earlier today :biggrin: , tanks for the reminder ;)

Trudy - no work and no boss today, I'm on my forced 5 days week-end because the daycare center is closed since wednesday evening until school starts again on tuesday morning :biggrin: , good luck with he headaches, hope the mouth-thingy helps !
