I see blue sky! A little tiny area, but it is there. I forgot what that looked like. Maybe the worst of the weather is over - at least for a few days. Next week looks like it is going to have a few decent days too. That will give me an incentive to get caught up with housework so I can spend lots of time outside. :D:D:D

Did you all have a nice day yesterday? I am relieved! I finished Christopher's album and ordered it through Walgreen's. They had a 60% off sale plus free Ship to Store. Amazon Prime had them for $17 and free shipping but Walgreen's was only $14. That was for 20 pages and "basic" hardcover (not lay-flat). That was my big project for the day and now I can think about scrapping for myself again. In fact, I have a LO for Kay's challenge that is about 50% finished. I like how it is coming out so far

Unfortunately, I don't think I am going to have time to work on it today. I have a busy (for me) day. I have to call my mom since I decided to not call yesterday. I knew I would push her about scheduling the surgery. I have to get all of the tax paperwork organized for Caitlyn. Scott's friend does taxes and offered to look at everything for her. She is the one who is G-F/vegan and Scott suggested Fried Rice for dinner so I need to make a bunch of white rice this morning so I can saute it up this afternoon. Plus my poor BBF texted me yesterday to ask a favor. Her mom has been in a care center for the last week and is getting discharged today. She needs a hand (physically and mentally) getting her home and settled. I am going to meet her at her mom's first for some coffee and to catch up. Then I am going to have to do a pep rally (her mom is more than a little high maintenance) so I am gonna boost her up-- "you can do it." I adore her mom, she was like a second mom to me but you can only take her in small doses. I am lucky that I can get in my car, drive home and not worry about it. BFF is an only child and gets the full force of it all of the time.

That is more things crammed into one day than I have had in a long time. the next thing you know I will be complaining that I was *too* busy hahahaha!!

Hugs!!!

@BrightEyes anyone who can walk with crutches and not fall on their face is a hero in my eyes. That is great that Chari can use the boot insert when she is asleep. Gary had to rig up a "cage" for me but I only had a surgical shoe and bandages post-surgery. I propped my bandaged foot on pillows and then he had the cage to keep the blankets off of my foot and it also prevented the dogs from jumping and bumping into it.
Sorry that your allergies are so bad too. So far, my nose is ok but wow, my eyes are burning and itching. I was a little intimidated by the cluster layers in the template but I think I am doing ok!

@bcgal00 I am so excited for you-- it has to be incredible to see all of the new things being delivered. And the dogs! They must be in heaven. I know you were going to miss your old yard and wildlife but it sounds like you have a wonderful new area to explore with the pups.
Thanks for the hugs for Scott. I am glad that he talked to me a little about how he was feeling. I don't think he would have opened up as much before all of this happened so some good came from the mess.

@taxed4ever Wow, that sound crazy about the trail getting flooded. Thank goodness that you were able to get around and not get lost ;) The rookery must have been awesome to see. Have a great visit with the family today. TY for the hugs to Scott too. He seems much better today- guess it comes in waves but the waves are easier to deal with than they were.

@tanteva Welcome to Marta! Does she have an American cousin who wants to come and cook/bake for me?

@Cherylndesigns ha! Poor Dasiy-- just looking for some peace and quiet and has to run off to get it LOL!!!
How snuggly are the puppies?? OMG, I want one!!!! (just not the constant work )
Hope that the winds die down and that your allergies stop bothering you too.

xoxoxo!

Wow... bad night all around! Both Chari and I had a restless night - up and down... hot and cold... and I had nightmares most of the night. I was glad to wake up finally. Not sure what triggered it as we both went to bed early (8:30 PM) and to sleep before 9:30. Thank goodness for coffee this morning... we both needed it. Both of us are looking forward to the weekend - it is suppose to be warmer and less wind. But then the roller-coaster of up & down temps plus high winds most of next week. That is suppose to be March weather - not April's!!!

Think I burned out on scrapping last month... as I am taking much longer to get inspired this month. But - that could also be due to all that is going on right now. I was able to get all my errands done yesterday and Chari did fine while I was gone. Need to get my car in for servicing next week so feel better about being gone for a couple hours to do that.

@faerywings - don't worry about adding every single layer in the April template.... add as many or few as you want/need to make the clusters. Don't want you stressing over replicating the exact number, size or shape of items in the cluster. The template is just a guide/suggestion for them. The main thing is to use the 2 oval shape masks and add clusters around them.

I agree... anyone who can manage crutches has great balance. I was on them several times and it isn't easy. Glad Chari has the knee scooter to use to get around. She found the walker is steady but she has to move slow when using it and gets exhausted quickly. I am sure she will improve as she practices with it.

@tanteva Oh, NO!!! SNOWSTORM!!! Sorry winter is still happening where you live. Stay warm, gal.

@bcgal00 How wonderful that you are getting settled into the new place. Glad you are taking it slow at getting un-packed. Sounds like you have easy access to the area to let the dogs run and play.

@taxed4ever Glad you are back to being able to swim laps again. I know you really missed that. Sorry part of the area was flooded where you took the hike - but glad you were able to get around it safely and finish the hike.

Good morning ladies. I will work on the unpacking, trying to get the pantry loaded today. Then I can see what groceries we will need. I picked up a few things yesterday and it felt so weird to go into a grocery store I've never been in before. You take for granted the stores you usually frequent and know where everything is. I was glad to see it was well stocked. I got some heavy duty hand cream for my hands. My skin hasn't adjusted to the dry weather here and my fingers were getting rough and cracked. I got O'Keefe Working Hands balm and it works better than 3-4 others I have tried this week.

Today the recliner couch, a bedroom set and the guest room sectional sofa bed is coming, as is my over the door spice rack. Later today a friend of ours is coming to help D mount the new microwave. Tomorrow more furniture comes and then Sunday will be quiet with no deliveries. I think Sun will be a good day to go exploring with the dogs and my camera.

It was nice to cook a meal last night (scrambled eggs with chives and red onion) with baked home fries. The oven air fryer works like a charm. So much better than my old oven in the other house. So far so good. I'm loving all of it.

My broken toe is starting to feel a bit better (did I tell you guys that somehow I broke it about a week before moving?). The heel spur on the other foot is slowly recovering too. Whew...that made it rough to walk but you know me, nothing is going to stop me LOL. I just hobbled along :)

@faerywings Good luck helping with your BFF's mom today. The rice dish sounds like a good idea and is easy to add some veggies to.

@tanteva Ugh...snowstorm. Glad we are done with our winter and spring is here.

@BrightEyes Hope tonight's sleep is better. We are going to have to get used to high winds. They get lots of wind here, seems to be off and on, almost every day. It'll feel good in the summer with the intense heat though. Remi loves it, she sticks her nose in the air and just smells everything.

Hope everyone is well and have a good day. I'm getting on with my day now.

Hello my Lovelies,

We had THE worst wind last night!! I didn't even know how hard it was blowing. Kay @BrightEyes we must be getting the same wind. Things were blowing up against the house - the cat wouldn't even go out. I figured out that he doesn't like the wind. He went out for a minute this morning then wanted right back in. It's only 20 MPH wind today, but it was WAY more last night - started around midnight. I also applaud Chari for being able to walk on crutches. I had to use them for several days before my broken foot was casted and I sat and cried a lot. It was brutal! My armpits hurt so bad. We had a 2-story house then and I had to go up the stairs on my behind. Sorry you had nightmares.

Chris @faerywings you're such a good BFF - that's so kind of you to go help with her mom when you have your hands full with your own. Daisy is pooped. Lila went home a few minutes ago and she's been crashed out ever since. I know she likes having Lila here but she does wear Daisy out. Daisy and the cat are both laying on the bed together. Adrienne and Roger got home at 2 AM - they were flying in from NJ (Newark) - she had to go into her office for a few days and he went along. She said the Newark airport is really crazy! Anyway, their flights were both delayed and they got in very late. But they're home.

Eva @tanteva - NO to snow!!! I saw on FB that one state over from us had snow - there are some crazy storms here, too - thankfully, now where we live, but weather advisories all over parts of the US.

I'm going to see what I need to do today. Happy Friday everybody and group hug.

Hi ladies... quick in and out of here today! We are off to the little town of Chemainus for our lunch date with the in-laws. I bet MIL and FIL are already there waiting for us LOL. FIL will have been pacing up and down waiting for MIL to be ready to go hours before they need to leave. He drives her crazy that way!! It is very very windy here again, not sure what the heck Mother Nature is up to with all this wind that we all seem to be getting. I am almost finished a page for @Rachel Jefferies featured product challenge, such amazing colours in this collection! Had a nice long chat with Heather and she got to talk to her Dad, which is great because he is not usually around when she calls. Ok I need to get out the door, now my DH is pacing around waiting for me LOL. Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
