She did it!!! My mom made the appointment and I am so relieved and proud. The poor woman though. After asking her a few questions the Dr asked if she had come to a decision about a pacemaker.
She says: I am not happy about it, still worried but I know have to do it.
He replies: How does the 16th sound?
Mom: What month????
Dr: May.
Mom: *shocked expression*
Dr: If that is too soon how is the 24th?
Me: No! That has you bumping right up to dad's surgery.
Bottom line-- May 16th it is. I am going down to her house on the 10th so I can clean and help her organize. She is going to get all of her pre-op testing/Covid test right after and then that will be it. He thinks she should only need to stay one night, her regular cardiologist and nephrologist said it might be a bit longer since they have to monitor her kidneys carefully. Either way, she should be home by the 19th so she can watch the live stream of Caitlyn's graduation on her computer.
What a relief! I know it feels really fast but for her, better less time to worry than waiting until the summer after my dad is healed.
I also went to the firehouse with my dad to take a look at the tables and kitchen so I have a good idea of what we will need to bring with us. My mom and I worked on a tentative menu while we were at the Drs. Overall-- a very productive day!
Scott and I are heading to PA in a bit, meeting my dad at 10. They are going to do yard cleanup and I am going to get the inside of the house ready for the summer season. My mom was thinking she was going to come too but she was exhausted last night so she felt it better for her to stay home and rest.
I am sorry for no personals again, but I am reading everything you wrote
Hugs!!!
