It's a Color Play Friday and the kits are just incredible. *swoons over that purples and greens* They always are but I love this palette so much.
On a more personal note, it's astounding that this is the last Friday in April, I'm not sure I like that. I'm not ready for May/June when most of my family celebrations occur. It's not helping that the weather this past week was sort of crummy and all of next week is going to be the same.
What can you do? *shrugs*

I made it through the day without literally falling on my face like the baby giraffe in the video I shared. I also didn't end the day running effortlessly through the savannah. But the key point: I made it! Doesn't have to be pretty as long as you get there. ;)
The morning started off with a bang. *G* The kitchen sink was draining slowly, Gary banged on one of the pipes in the basement and disconnected them at a joint. No one could use the water or flush toilets while he ran out to get plumber's glue. Cleaning was fine. My friend had some hard seltzers in the fridge she didn't like and told me to take them home. Cait was thrilled. We played a new game after dinner, Fire Tower, and it was fun. Nowhere near as fun as Ravine-- that one is hysterical! (I am so excited- I got Gary an expansion pack of cards for that game for his b-day next week. Shhh-- don't tell him :D )

I have no plans today. Well, nothing specific. I have loads and loads of things that I need to finish around the house and on the computer.

My Finish it Friday:
I have LOs to complete and upload.
I want to finish cleaning the appliances I was doing when W interrupted me with her grossness.
Gotta finish another cleaning challenge task. I didn't do any yesterday, after two days in a row of steam cleaning --I deserved a break. I think I am going to "Clean under the bed." I have boxes of yarn and lots of dog hair that should be dealt with.

Hope you have a wonderful day and get everything finished that needs to get done. :grouphugyay:

@bcgal00 You look incredible in the pictures you post. So happy and relaxed. Cruise life suits you. You deserve every minute of it! How exciting to have another one booked. I'd love to see the Mediterranean.

@vickyday Yesterday was much better, thank you! I am sure we all have had days like that where it's a struggle to move forward. As long as we have people around to cheer us on and support us when we need it ♥
Wow!! That is an amazing shopping trip! Even better that you splurged on *yourself*!

@Cherylndesigns Your family and plans always keep you on your toes :D Hope you found some nice stuff at Target.
I can relate to being a bad pet mom in the middle of the night. W was whining at 3 am started out just as a small whine, then gradually got louder and louder. I was hoping that she would either stop or go and wake up Gary #devil No luck.
Hope you slept better last night and Sam was a good boy for ya!
I had African Violets passed down to me. They belonged to my neighbor's mom who lived on the other side of her. We would be walking home from the bus stop and Josie would be calling to us with cookies for the kids. She was such a sweet lady and when she passed, Jo gave some of Josie's African Violets to me and to my friend across the street- we were honored to have them. They bloomed all year round and only needed a bit of talking to. After 10 years or so, mine started to die and I was devastated. I tried everything to keep them alive. Debbie's are still alive and I want to ask her for one. They are in one pot and I would not want her to take a chance of anything happening to them. Anytime I am over there, I have to look at them and she'll send me pics when they all bloom at once.

I read to the end of your post and see that you didn't go out after all. Maybe today?

HAPPY

I try to "swipe" at the edges of the beds when I sweep, but I, too, need to drag stuff out from under there and thoroughly sweep!
Sounds like you had a better day yesterday!

Good Morning!
Quick in and out as I am getting ready to leave to spend the day with Ilene and Carolyn. We will do our usual lunch out and then play Qwirkle through the afternoon......if my headache allows me to stay that long! I may be home a lot earlier than I plan to! It is what it is!
Poor Mark is on the couch right now. He was fine until he drove to CVS to pick up his meds. There is something about the car seat that causes his hemorrhoids to flare, poor guy! I hope it eases up so he can get out to his beloved woods. It is promising to be a lovely day here.....so far!
Hope you have a lovely day!
My FiF will be to load a page into the gallery I finished late last night. Easy peasy! ;). I have another sweater started, but I've lost my mojo on it for now!

Good afternoon. It's slim pickins' in here today. Not everybody will know what that means - you have to be "up" on colloquialisms. (and I couldn't have spelled that w/o my auto correct) :rotfl:

Chris @faerywings that new game sounds like fun. We need some new ones. Yes, I slept better last night. Sam stayed out all night and I didn't have my sleep interrupted. I haven't told you have we have another cat hanging around. It's an orange tabby - looks just like Sam, only bigger. He's not very friendly and he always comes in the dark of night when I can't see outside very well. Chuck has big lights that we're going to put in the back but getting them out there is going to be another story. I need to get Ava to install them. I need to see what's out there, instead of beaming my flashlight through my door window. He has a very distinctive meow - it almost sounds like he's saying "hello" - in meow talk. I'm afraid I'm going to open my door some night and he's going to follow Sam inside. I NEED lights out there - you can hardly see your hand in front of your face and the backdoor light is practically worthless.

Yes, I ended up not going - it's always a circus around here. I was glad I didn't because they got home very late. They ended up going all the way to Tulsa - I thought they were going to Muskogee, but Casey said they didn't have a Target there. That was what put the icing on the cake. Tomorrow is a big day anyway - we're leaving at 11 to go to Tulsa UGH to watch Ava in a Jujitsu competition. I really want to go, but hate driving all day to do it. Roger gets home from Florida tonight so we're all going.

Hello to Vicky @vickyday and anybody else who stops in.

XOXO

I know what "slim pickings" means, LOL! But I would have thought it would be telling about someone's age! ;)
