Where Oh where has my Month of April Gone?
Really and truly frightening!

But at least it is Friday! yahooo for that! I woke up a few minutes before my alarm and I swore that it was Saturday. That is such a bummer, isn't it?
But I am looking forward to Sunday- we are going to see my little dude! We were also supposed to sleep over at,y mom's and Monday the kids had their Lyme appt on Monday. (I am 45 min's from my mom's and she is an hour and 15 mins to the dr, so I meet up with her, and she drives part way and I drive part way). But their appt got cancelled b/c Dr B is in the hospital. I would really appreciate any good thought you have for him- he is not only an amazing doctor but a really good person.

Bus stop/babysitting/working/nap-- that is my plan for today LOL

How about you? Anything on your Finish It Friday list?

hi, there. up at 5 a.m. again. crap.

Chris, you are SO lucky to still have a mom to do a sleepover with. i drove by my late mom's house yesterday and had all kind of "WAH! i want my MOM!" feelings.

Eva, hope the chocolate did the trick!

Trudy, glad you're getting some extra "off" time from work, if that's what you want!

Maureen, what does your mentoring of a grown-up involve? i'm not sure i've heard of that before. but i live under a rock so that may be understandeable....

i think i'm going to go furniture shopping today. i really HAVE to get something to replace that furniture i bought that didn't make it around the bend at the top of my stairs and had to go back. our bedroom still had my funky old furniture in it, with the new carpet and other new stuff. it looks really DUMB! so i guess you could say that THAT is what i'm trying to finish this Friday. i don't hold out much hope, though. i need such a specific color that it's going to be tough to find it again.

well. at least it's Friday. have a good one.

Lauire- did you get everything done that you needed to do? Hope the weather stays warm for your plants. I am really gald I didn't cave into the urge to plant last week- it has been freezing cold this past week here. I want summer weather back!

Phyllis- I ended up steam cleaning myself. Big surprise eh?? Scott asked if a friend could come over for diner and I wanted the rug to be dried by the time we had dinner- If I waited for Gary to do it, it would prob be while we were eating dinner.
Potatoes in a garbage can?? How cool is that?!! I saw a thing on how to grow herbs in a shoe/pocket hanger thingy (YKWIM?) but the kids threw out their old ones and I am not about to buy a new one ATM. But I do have plenty of garbage cans.
Hope the video transfer wasn't too expensive.

Eva- that was me on Monday- I made another batch of "Matzoh Crack" just for the occasion.

Maureen-- that sounds like my kind of morning too! Enjoy your weekend, that also sounds like heaven to me!!

Linda S-- are you out there????
And Nana???? Don't let those kids tie you up again!

Hugs to everyone who stops in. xoxo!!!

Phyllis- I might tease my mom a lot or eye roll at her, but I am so incredibly BLESSED!!!! I might not have a lot in other ways but my family - , kids Gary, mom, dad, brother, IL's and my BFF-- are my rock and my soul and I literally would not be here if not for them.

They are what keep me going and keep me "in line" when I start to get envious of other people's "stuff." Stuff doesn't matter when you don't have family to share it with.

Oh... that is not to make you feel bad..... that you don't have your mom.....
I am sorry

I AM HERE...but incredibly stressed out and worn out..... I am trying really hard to keep it together...but finding it harder and harder these days. I am hoping this weekend will allow me some major down time.....the kids are going to the respite care worker for the weekend....as much as I resisted this...the last two weeks have really shown me how in need I am of this!!! I have completely run out of patience...I have NO energy at all..NONE...I am so angry about everything...and O.M.G. I cry at the drop of hat!!!!!!! My new furniture came the other night, and it was too big for the room.....we measured length wise and it was going to fit PERFECTLY..but forgot to really take into consideration the depth and once it FINALLY got here....it just completely OVER TOOK the room.....I got mad and then had a break down yesterday morning...got it out of my system..and moved on....worked out for the best...as now I have new furniture for my living room and den (I split it up and it worked out perfectly) I just don't have the seating in my living room I wanted to begin with..but WTH....it's not that important.....:tea:

And seriously....I would not care if the kids tied me up at this point.....I actually think I might prefer it!!

The social worker was here yesterday....I really felt like crap, because I saw the "I feel so sorry for you" look in her eyes....and then this morning, when I put Jesse on the bus this morning, she gave that same look to me....I guess it's just written all over me at this point!!!!

BALL SEASON kicks off this weekend!!!! For those of you that know me well....you know that I love my oldest grandson's ball playing....the OPENING DAY ceremonies is tomorrow morning and first ball game is tomorrow afternoon...so you know what I will be doing tomorrow...then Mike and I are in "discussion" about going on a drive....and ending up "somewhere" and spending the night away from the house.....preferably somewhere with a bar and jacuzzi.

hOpe you all have a great weekend ladies!!!

Morning peeps...

Just a quick one to answer Chris about the window washing formula..

Linda, I am so so sorry that caring for your grands is taking such a toll...but...it's a good reminder to me that we didn't step in when my daughter told us she was pregnant, once again. Fortunately a young couple who were childless wanted Lotus and she has had a wonderful time with them for 6 years. Except when my daughter enters the picture, kwim? I'll keep you two in my heart for the strength to do what you can. Remember the 'put your own oxygen mask on first' advice!

Good Morning Ladies... well what do you know, I slept in today!! I finally got 8hrs of sleep!!! I didn't even hear my husband get out of bed, shower, get ready for work and go. Its a beautiful sunny day, so I am hoping to get out for a nice long walk today. Should get some weeding done and perhaps get windows washed this weekend.

Chris - You are blessed with a loving family!!! Really what else does anyone need? Sending out positive vibes to your Doctor friend!! So glad that you get to see your little man this weekend!! It always seems to lift your spirits!

Phylis - Sorry you were feeling sad about not having your Mom with you!! I have that feeling a lot! Miss being able to just go and vent to her, she was always there with a hug and kiss. Hope you find the perfect furniture for your bedroom!! Have fun shopping!!

Laurie - Wow you got it all done!! I am impressed!! Enjoy your vacation!! Wish I could come along!

Linda - I am so glad that you are getting some alone time! I know how much you have stressed about sending the kids out to respite care. Really sweetie this will be good for you! You need some time alone!! That really sucks about your furniture, but sounds like you have solved the problem! Enjoy the ball games!! I really hope you find a nice romantic spot to stay at!! Have a glass of wine in the hot tub or jacuzzi!! But most of all RELAX!!!!!!! BTW I love your hubby's advice for married men, I am forwarding to my hubby at work!

Enjoy the day everyone, I am sure going to try!!

LOL my day IS full of sunshine and also a big fat robin who is trying to build a nest over our front door! We've knocked it down twice and this time I sprayed the area with a 409 type cleaner. I hope Mama Bird moves her plans elsewhere!

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!! It's late now but I thought I'd hop in and say hi. Busy busy weekend full of events, games and some cooking. It should be fun though.

I need to do some prep so I need to hurry off...but wanted to say...

(((((LINDA)))))) Giant hugs for you. I am so proud of you for finally taking up the option of respite care. You need this, they need this. You have taken on a job that wasn't supposed to be yours and sometimes you just need a bit of time to regroup. I know it was a very hard decision for you but you'll soon see that it is good for all of you. I'll bet it is a little vacation for them too. Enjoy your hot tub and bar. More hugs and prayers sent your way!!
