I truly cannot believe that it is the last weekend of April. It really can't be, can it? This month flew faster than almost any other- *woosh*
BFF is off to pick her son up from college today. I can't get over that his freshman year is over. It feels like he just left. This time next year, I am going to be in full-blown panic mode as both of my kids will be graduating. Please make time stop for a tiny bit, please???
Yesterday was a mixed bag kind of day for me. I was in a bit of a mood, the financial stress is killing me. (Don't die yet Faery, you don't have any life insurance!) Gary and I were able to get some good groceries at the FP and as always, the woman there is the *best.* The weather was beautiful so I did go outside, just for an hour to clear some dead leaves from the plants. So many spindly, yellow stalks. Hopefully, the sunlight will turn them around soon. I grabbed some lunch and noticed that there were still some cooked sweet potatoes from my mom in the fridge so I made the dogs and rats their homemade sweet potato and oatmeal treats. By dinner time, my ankle was swollen and red and I was aggravated with myself for that.
I am also trying to not freak out about a Lyme relapse. I have noticed that my speech and word finding has declined a lot in the last couple of weeks and last night I got some really strong heart palpitations. Both of those were common symptoms for me. So far, my joints aren't any worse than normal, *knock wood* but I do need to track all of that.
Add in that I was disappointed that the Elizabeth Warren House Party was a planning meeting, not one *with* her, although that made my mind up that I wasn't going to go. Yup, a total mixed bag of a day.
Today, I am off to the vet with Jaida for shots. Poor thing *hates* the vet. She gets so scared. I might ask Gary to come with me. I usually can handle her with no problems, but she does try to jump off of the table. I will see if he is up to it. It is rainy today so perhaps I can finish a scrap page that I started days ago too.
