Daily Ooo's: Friday, April 26- The I am Blond Again Edition

I know, it is only exciting to me but I am blond again. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels so good! And I have to say it really takes some of the old and tired look from my face. I took a couple of pics yesterday but I don't know if it was the lighting or that my ipod camera is really that bad or I really look that wrinkly (most likely a combo of all 3!)-- but the pics I took are going to be deleted as soon as I can figure out how to to that from my ipod.:faint2:

i got my whole head done blond- with the same chunky highlights in front as the picture I shared. I didn't do the red- it was a beauty school so I don't know if they were equipped to do stuff like that-- but I asked Cait the next time she colors her hair if she will do a few streaks for me. She uses demi-permanent color so it will fade out fast if I look goofy. It will be fun for the summer and it is not like I go anywhere- like an office job where people might look at me odd.
I also got a LOT cut off. About 2" off the length but about 4-5" off of the layers. I had a small heart attack every time I saw those pieces fall. But it looks good! Everyone was saying that it looked great as I was walking out too which made me feel really happy.

And today-- I get to throw it in a pony tail and go to work/clean.

Hey there Phyllis! How did the do go for you yesterday? The weather here was nice- hope it was for you too!

Kristo- that duck video was too cute!!!! I can't get over how fast they grow. You are an exercising mad-woman!! LOL I am hoping to get in a good walk this afternoon too, but it won't be 2 hours!

Trudy- you are a walking mad-woman too! I wish I lived near you too- you have beautiful nature to enjoy! And you have a beautiful soul- so its a two-fer.
I wish that you could not work too. I guess that is why I keep trying to come up with stay at home solutions for you-- yesterday the idea of you teaching kids how to paint popped into my mind.hehe!

Sally- I know you went through this with Cora too- but it doesn't get easier with the second child behind the wheel??? No!!! I am not cut out for the Driver's Ed role either but with Gary so sick I have had no choice. I may need to borrow some of your blood pressure meds!!!

Cynthia- ugh ugh ugh for you..... Can ia ask what they do to treat you at the Pain Mgt clinic? Gary;s lyme dr wanted him to go to a Pain Mgt Dr but he refuses, for a lot of reasons, but b/c his health insurance stinks so the drs are very far away and very expensive. I'd love to know that if it helps, it might be worth it for him. Hugs!

Cynthia- that sounds horrible, al of those surgeries and only to get worse

Laurie- awesome that you had a great time with your friend! I saw a lot of Moon Photos on FB this morning-- I hope that you got some good shots too!

hey, Blondie!! i wanna see pix!! take some more and post one. you KNOW we all want to see the New Doo! the sono went ok, except they had to do an internal, which never feels that great. so glad i don't have to ride any horses today....

today, a trip to the cemetery to plant some Zoysia grass on the family plot again. it's freezing cold here (we had a frost overnight!) so i'll probably wait for a few hours before i set out. this should take all day, since it takes about an hour plus to get to the place, then there will be me, digging little plug holes to put little plugs of Zoysia grass in the holes. sigh...my life is full of tiny little kookie jobs. :der:

when i read Chris' post, at first i read the word "amazing" as "amusing." so, let me steal Chris's wish for your day and morph it into "have an AMUSING day!!" just think about what I am doing today, then try to do the exact OPPOSITE!! :rofl:

Morning O fam- recovering from being away and- ummm eating nearly an entire package of tag a longs by myself- okay- later today after errands, caulking and picking up my new phone, I am going to get my workout in. Way to Go CHRIS!!!!!

Good morning - well the NJ Devils played their last home gave of the season and defeated the Penguins 3-2. It was a great game. It was fan appreciation night and I must say that I was not impressed. Most of the give aways went to the fans that sit in the expensive seats when I feel the real fans sit in the cheap seats. We got a poster of the team and luggage tags LOL. I like the teams that give the jerseys to their fans. OH well if only I ran the Devils PR department LOL. It was fun went in early with Chaz and Natalie. They are so funny. I had to go to the train station early to get tickets and they were parking as the train was pulling in and had to run like mad to make the train as the train waits for no one. But we had a great dinner and laughed and laughed. Then riding the train home (again the train schedules are set and we had to wait an hour for the next one as the Devils game) they were so funny! Made the wait quite entertaining! Had a good walk with my girlfriend. It was just a really nice day!

Chris congrats on the hair change! and congrats on keeping up with the sit ups

Angela good luck with your doctor's visit. Hope all goes well!

Cynthia bummer that the surgeries did not diminish the pain. Pain management seems the way to go. Hope it helps!

Laurie glad visit went so well!

Sally teaching or just riding with kids new to driving does raise the blood pressure for sure!

Phylis hope your day walking around your patio went well. We are having sunny and mid to upper 60s. Lovely weather!

Morning lady "O"s ... I woke up to a wonderful phone call this morning!! My brother calling, to tell us that he is a Grandpa again. Sweet little Lottie May was born to my nephew and his wife at three this morning. She of course has the perfect middle name LOL (guess who has that same name?) So happy for them, but sad that my brother did not get to see her come into the world :sad: Being in Australia is like being on another planet when you live her in Canada, such a long, long way away!! But my SIL is still there until Tuesday so she at least gets to cuddle with the newborn! :smile:

Chris - Please take some more photos so we can see the new blonde chick that lives at your house LOL. Hope that the new hairdo has helped you to feel better! I wish you lived closer to me too, It would be so nice to walk the trails with some friends and shoot the breeze, all my buddies are either working or live too far away to meet me for walks :mmph: Keep up the great work on the sit ups!! You are doing awesome!!

Laurie - What are tag - a -longs?? I am guessing that they are not good for you :becky: That's ok you are allowed every once in a while to have a treat!! Have fun with your new phone today!! I am green with envy! :biggrin:

Phylis - You have a sort of interesting day today :becky: I will have to look up this grass that you are planting, do you have to do it every year? Hope that the ground is not still frozen by the time you get there! Hope you have nice visit at the cemetery, I really should get out to where my parents are too, it takes about the same amount of time to go, but heck I have lots of time now!

Nancy - Don't you just hate that all the people that sit in expensive seats get all the good stuff!! Guess they figure that if they butter them up they will spend even more?? Just not fair, because you are right, its the everyday joe that is the best hockey fan!!! The most loyal fans anyway!! :rant: Not fair!!! Glad that your Devils did well for their last home game! We were happy the Bruins won last night, but so did those darn Habs!!

Well off to get some breakfast, I have a craving for a poached egg and then getting my walk in early today, perhaps some scrapping and painting today, maybe a trip to Walmart to get a couple of things. Hope you all have a great Friday!! TGIF!! :wave:

i didn't get to the cemetery. my friend who just found out her cancer has returned called me, and we talked for 2 hours.

geez. the sadness in the world.

so not enough time left to get out there and do what i needed to do. Trudy, no, you just plant it once. i need to plant it again because when my mom died, i had a ton of new dirt placed on the site, which covered all of the old grass. i planted regular grass seed on that, and it looks bad.

well, on to some lunch and laundry, i guess.
