Ok, ladies, I think I need to take the day off today. My brain hurts more than you know. I have spent much more time than I care to admit reading in utter horror and dismay that someone is actually suggesting that UV-C and injecting disinfectants can cure COVID.
I. Just. Can't.

I tried to be as informed as I could be from first reading about this in January. I had planned and stocked up since the end of February. But I never, ever, ever thought that in two months I would be reading about DT's ravings and seeing Lysol and Clorox brands issuing statements that you should not ingest or inject bleach or cleaners.
While 50,000 Americans die and counting.

I just can't...

Today I am going to make dog treats and enjoy Disney night with the family.
That's it.
Stick a fork in me, I am done.

If I am able to get my brain out of its state of shock, I will try to come back for personals.

good morning - Chris I totally understand. When I saw what he said I just laughed as how could anyone be that ignorant and then I was as you frightened because there may be some people who might actually try to do what he suggests. It is shameful that the doctor sitting there did not clarify that ingesting or injecting will kill you. But I was happy as I was scrapping for the first time in over a month. I am getting back and it feels good. Made a tasty dinner. Today I am not cooking as it will be a pizza night. Had a good time watching Miles Wood's Q&A. He is still thinking he is on a pause not that the rest of the season will be cancelled. So I guess there is still hope. Saw the news from Mayor of NYC and all the indicators are going down so that is great news that this social distancing is working. Not sure we will get in a walk as we are to have rain all day. It is cold and damp and when I see all the warm weather out west I am so jealous!

Chris have fun with dog treats and Disney night!

Kay I think it is so wonderful you have those old videos of your DH to watch on special days like yesterday. I think Felis is right the pain the does not go away but you learn to live with it. I see though that your weather is really warming up so I hope that helps.

Trudy yes we seem to cross post. I am like you get one scarp page completed and it inspires you to go on. Glad you finally heard from the man that wanted the painting. Hope you get a call today I know how much you like them. Yes I too am see the weight creep up and it is so infuriating not being able to exercise as before. I love hot dogs. One of my favorite non dinner dinners is grilled cheese sandwiches which I know for you is bad with bread. Funny story my son made them for his girlfriend and her kids and she had never had them the way I make them and she was very impressed.

Jean I am seeing small birds but of course I don't have my binoculars with me so that makes me mad but I am hearing lots of red bellied woodpeckers. Your dinner sounds good. I know this cooking so much is not my cup of tea!

Felis I loved your quote on loss of a loved one. Thanks for sharing. Hope that you are having good weather.

Grateful for getting back to scrapping.

Morning ladies, I will have to be quick here as I need to run out for a couple of things today. Hope to get the other half of my groceries that I could not get the other day. Had a lovely time with Mason and Hunter this morning. Mason and I played Guess who and the little stinker beat me, after I was ahead 3 games he came back and beat in the tie breaker. LOL He sure loves to win!! Hunter is talking much more and repeats everything his big brother says, so cute! Everyone is doing well although Ontario has many more cases than we do here in B.C. This afternoon Mason will do a bit of school work and hopefully this weekend will be warmer for them all!

Chris - OMG your president is an idiot!! But then I think you all knew that already! Wonder who many stupid people will actually believe what he says and try to ingest poison chemicals into their bodies. No wonder you are done like dinner!! I hope you have a lovely evening with your family and that you hear some much better news today!

Nancy - I have been more inspired to get back to scrapping, but sadly I did not get another page done yesterday, too many phone calls and then I got busy painting and totally forgot to get back here and do some scrapping. Our news is filled with the details of the shootings in Nova Scotia and seems it all started with shooter having a domestic dispute with his girlfriend and she managed to escape, from there he went on his shooting spree. Yes shame on that doctor for not saying anything while DT ranted in his usual way. Pizza night sounds good and nice that you don't have to cook tonight! I think that everyone is going to be a few pounds heavier after all of this, hope to get back to swimming, but not sure when that will ever be. I have always loved grilled cheese sandwiches , especially with Tomato soup!! Sadly I can no longer eat either one of those anymore  Nice that your future DIL loved your way of cooking the grilled cheese.

Ok another call coming in from Isaac and Sadie so I gotta go :bolt: Have a great day everyone!

A little late checking in today... already been out this morning. Local grocery store has senior/compromised hours from 7 - 8:30 AM. I got there at 7:30 and got in line [maybe 10 people] when a kind gentleman said that I could go right in since I was a senior! Wow - everyone in line nodded and said 'go right ahead'. There are some really nice people out there. Store was not crowded at all... and I managed to get everything on my list except wipes and Lysol Laundry additive. They even had lots of toilet paper and bleach [which I didn't need]. Nearly everyone was wearing a mask and trying to keep a distance from everyone else. There wasn't any line when I went to check-out. I even picked up my meds refills with no waiting. Think I am all set for the next few weeks now.

Got interrupted as DD#1 came by and we had a nice visit... keeping social distancing apart. She is going to check with her DH about which folding table/chairs they want to borrow from me. Both her dining room and kitchen tables/chairs are still in their house [which has a bid on it but won't close until the end of May] so they are using TV trays for their meals.

Will come back later if I can and do personals... right now, I need to finish putting groceries away and treat the fruits/veggies.

Chris, I'm sorry but I can't stop laugh! It's so ridiculous!
I'm hear lots of strange theory about COVID19, one girl I follow at IG think that 5G is the reason for it. My own aunt is completely sure that the thermometer which they now use on the entrance to the factory where she work, is actually secret weapon which sends micro impulses to the consciousness and creates fears and negative mood. But for a first time I'm hearing president to say something so stupid. LOL! The leader of the free world LOL! I thought they have person who write their speeches?! LOL! I guess he tries to cure world with laugh!
I'm sorry! It isn't critic or underestimation of other contrie's leader, it's just a comment for him as person.
But still I think panic is more than it is necessary. I'm not sure did your government gives you info about the number of COVID victims compared with these from car accidents or hurricanes (I'm sorry I can't remember the last hurricane name, I know only Catrina). In my country victims from car accidents for March-April 2019 are stil more than victims from COVID19 March-April 2020. Of course it's a huge tragedy, and of course it's a heartbroken! Prayers for all souls! But it's not like not seen ever before! Humanity is not stop driving cars, because they are dangerous, and is not stop building in problematic areas just because they are dangerous.
All this soon will be forget! We just have to be more careful for now!

Nancy, looks like lots of the sports here also hopes that this is just a pause not that the rest of the season will be cancelled. I hear that volleyball players are talk for finished it without public. Which is kind of sad for the fans, but better watch it on TV than nowhere. I saw new dates for music gigs at the autumn, and we all hopes the hot summer will beat the virus and all will get back to normal till then!

Trudy, what you are painting now? Oh, kids are so sweet!
So sad about the Nova Scotia tragedy. The number of victims of domestic violence is seriously increased here after the isolation started. The experts tries to calm down that just now more neighbors become a witness and gives report than in usual routine. But I'm not so sure! Lots of our acquaintance had to stand face to face with their unhappy marriages. And my mom tells me about woman that every day calls to ask for children day care, as she swear she would never decide to have two kids if she know she will have to spend so much time with them. She is single parent, usual their grandma helps, but now is refuse because of the virus LOL!

Kay, hooray, sound as successful stress free shopping, which really is become a big deal these days!

Jean, yes, I have to start looking for new job, but hmm, I have no idea where. If I go to the employment office I'll have to go on course for new qualification. Right now they don't have free spots, as everyday more and more people are losing their working places. I'll have to try with directly search, but I have no idea where. Uhhhh, I want just to be a housewife! I wish I was born in Jane Austen century (in England, definitely in England as here was slavery)! I told this to my mom and she answer to not be ridiculous, as she can't imagine how they will have to force me to get married as it's happens usual at these books. It have some logic at this argument  . As most of the places are still on home office it's not much clear where and when I have to send CVs.
Did you liked the documentary? Snow at April WOW!

OK, my post is again upside down. What I could say you about my day: looks like Friday is my new day for deep cleaning of the cat house. And after I still can't find any motivation to start gardening my dad plant the veggies instead of me. I hope that this mean now he will have to care for them too!

Grateful for having the whole flowers plot in bloom!

I enjoyed the movie "The Booksellers" but it wouldn't fascinate unless you love old books and the people who deal in them. DH said it was OK but it was just what I wanted to see. Today I watched a short about three women artists in their 70s, a ceramicist, a painter and a writer. Cool to see others like me. Then tonight we watched a History Channel program on YouTube about the voyage of Sir Francis Drake in the 1570s. Liked all of these. Somehow got through the days and now there's an apple nutty bread in the oven. Not a lot of motivation.

Forgot to mention that in July I'll be joining the ranks of virtual students. The one-week genealogy class at a college in Pittsburgh for which I registered will be done online. Of the six classes scheduled that week, three are postponed to next year, but mine is one of the other three that will take place virtually. That will at least be better than the conference scheduled to start on Wed. that was cancelled.

Chris, you've got to get a grip, girl. The thing in the WH is not worth your stress levels like this. :frusty: Hope you got some distance and had a fun theme night.

Nancy, could there still be some hockey? Hope something comes through, but at least you got a little hockey talk. Would be nice to get some better weather though here it isn't so cold any more, just not warm either.

Trudy, love your stories of time with Mason. Hmm, beating you at games, eh? Guess that's fun for him. If you're painting, tell me how you're getting motivated, please? Watching video of others creating gives me stimulus, but still haven't done anything new.

Kay, you sure had a nice experience shopping. Glad it went so well for you. Seems a tiring outing when we go, now aiming for at least two weeks worth of groceries at a time.

Felis, I can understand (and share) a lack of motivation. I'm a little surprised at the gardening your parents are doing instead of you as you seemed to like that in the past. At least the animals are still getting your attention and maybe keeping you a little happy with them. As far as a job, wishing you some good fortune in finding something that will be OK.

Grateful for
DH who keeps himself busy most of the time
a nice challenging puzzle that's coming along
finding new things to watch
