I am happy dancing! Today is the day I get to hug my parents!! I am so freaking excited! More [!!!!!] for everyone!!! Although I had a dream last night that tried to ruin it for me. I dreamed that I was at my Grandma's house (the one that didn't like me all that much) and it was with family from back in the day but everyone was vaccinated. I didn't want to give anyone a hug since my mom wasn't there and I wanted *her* to be the first person I hugged. My grandma came over and hugged me and I was so annoyed. So. Annoyed. And the weirdest part is that this Grandma was not super huggy at all. My other grandma (my mom's mom) was very huggy and kissy and affectionate. Grandma I- not so much, at least not to me. My brother- yes, not "The Girl" as I was referred to. Soo strange of a dream, she passed away a few days after Caitlyn was born but there I was in her house getting hugged. Ha!! At least I know that my mom will still be the first hug IRL.

I was busy with my head in the closet much of the day yesterday so I thankfully missed seeing the snow. Scott said that it flurried on and off all day long. It was a good thing for the family I didn't see it because you know I would have been cursing up a storm if I had. I wish I could say that I got rid of a lot of things in my closet but I pretty much put things back where they were supposed to be. I did toss a lot of Digital Scrapbooking magazines that were from 2008 :p

That is about it from me. Wishing everyone a fab day!

Kay- sounds like your visit is just what you needed- how wonderful to have your family with you! Have fun with your Gal's Night!

@Cherylndesigns Am I really that obviously awful that you knew I would laugh about you almost falling? I am sorry! You *know* I am not being mean. Just more of a BTDT.
Bee balm aka monarda is fantastic for attracting bees. They are perennials and will spread through their root system. They get pretty tall- maybe two to three feet and I don't know if they come in different colors, but mine are purple. I also have coneflower which is another one that is good for bees.
How are you feeling today? Caitlyn was fine again all day so hopefully, you guys will react the same-- as in not at all. It is going to be weird to see so many people all at once this weekend but I bet it is going to be awesome for you!
I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A three-tiered raised bed. I was looking at some of them online with the keyhole for compost and I want one! What are you going to put in it? I am so excited for you!

@taxed4ever That is great news that the new bush is doing well and welcome back to your hostas! Mine are popping up a bit too.
I now have this image of the ants marching one by one (hoorah!) into your kitchen and then stumbling out drunk.
How cool is it that you and your Gary are thinking about getting bikes? One more reason I adore this group, how we inspire each other in other in so many ways. [full heart emoji]

@bcgal00 I am practical *crying* over her about Remi aggressively banging the bell. OMG, she is a piece of adorable and loveable work! She is really smart! Seems like her health is doing good too? I bet Taz is rolling his eyes at her a lot but they seem to have fun together.

@scrap-genie Yikes that is a lot of snow. What a bunch of BS, Mother Nature! I can't complain about snow flurries. (I mean, I *did* complain but I should take it back) I hope that the trees do ok in spite of the cold.
It is nice to see that little bits of "normal" life are coming back and super nice of your DH to take you out for dinner. He is a keeper. :D
Thanks for the info about the woodpeckers. Gary showed me a video that was taken in my town yesterday- a bald eagle with 2 babies! I am not sure where the nest is but it was really neat to see her feeding them in the video.

@felis Happy Earth Day to you too! Are you feeling better yet? I am so sorry that you got food poisoning, that must have been awful. sending you some peppermint tea for your stomach~~~

xoxo

good afternoon - yesterday was filled with more wedding stuff as we had to take a check up to venue as they do not take credit. Seems weird to me as I would think they would do better with credit as it is safer. As I don't carry a check we had to go back yesterday. Then went to lunch. It is just as Chris said. When I got up the weather was nice but when we left the venue it was freezing. We got no snow but lots of wind and so cold. Today is sunny with lots of wind but the temp is in the 60s. Walked Luther and it was great. Should be in the 70s and maybe 80s by middle of the week. Perfect for walks and bike rides. As I am getting ready for trip to Sedona I listened to Rae about her change of cameras. I got the Nikon p1000. It is a point and shoot but it has an amazing zoom. I saw lots of reviews and it is not for professional photographers but for me who used my photos in scrapping it is perfect. I could not believe how close I could get. Standing on my deck I could see my dandelions but on zooming in there was a bee on one. And I can hand hold but I should use tripod for some things. I love my sony but it is having problems and with the pandemic I just could not get it fixed. Also since my DH got a sony too we have to share the big lens and I don't want to share as we both miss some photos when that happens. But the best is that by purchasing through Amazon I was able to use my American express points so it only cost me $93.

@faerywings I cant wait to read how the hug went! I am so happy for you. That was one strange dream. I am so glad we did not see snow down here. Sorry you did. I had to put my heat on I was so cold. Glad you have gotten so far with your garden. Glad that Cait is doing so well after her second dose.

@BrightEyes Kay your visit makes me so excited to see my sister. Glad it is going so well. But they are always too short. Have fun shopping!

@taxed4ever Trudy glad that you are having a bit of good news with the floor. I hope that Chris's idea of drunk ants does not happen. I hope you get bikes. They are so liberating and such good exercise.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl I love that you are getting a triple decker raised garden and how happy it makes you. I do not have the gardening gene. Getting my hands dirty just does not interest me. But I love the idea of all the plants that draw birds and bees and so happy that so many here do garden.

@scrap-genie Jean wow that is a lot of snow. Sorry you lost branches. That is scary that heavy wet snow. Glad it has warmed up. I know some of the Colorado Rockie baseball games against the Mets were canceled as the stadium in Denver was snow covered. That is the only way the Mets are not losing a game. The Mets and Yankees have been so bad.

@felis felis so so sorry to read about the food poisoning. I have had that and it is not fun! Feel better.

@bcgal00 Rae I cant thank you enough for steering me to the Nikon camera. I love it but of course I need more practice.

Have a great day all!

@nancyr What a great deal you got for the camera! Enjoy it. I can handhold for most things but for others I find leaning against a pole/tree/railing etc is enough to get a steady shot. Will enjoy seeing the photos you get with it!

Thank you girls!
Yes I felt weak few days, but now I'm back to normal. Just on time for our Easter celebration, the first of long line festive days start this Saturday and will end with Easter on May 2nd. I was blessed in these tough few days when I mostly lies down, to have released 2 new tune from my favorite artists and this summer looks really promising.

Chris, it's awesome that you can hug your mom! And then the whole family. I'm same with the clothes this year I'm not wear so many of them to have what to give away, and these which I wear aren't in good shape anymore.

Nancy, what a great deal for the new camera! Congrats and have lots of fun! Will wait to see the photos!
