Please let today be a better day than yesterday, pleeeeeaaassseeee!!!
I had to pick Scott up from school at 8.30 b/c he was sick. Then I tried to steam clean but the cleaner isn;t sucking the water back up, so I have soggy carpets. Went to work, came back and got "lectured" about my bad mood. (Its ok for everyone else to be cranky in this house except me, I guess) so I took a shower and went to bed. It has to be better today, right? :yield:

Working, cleaning here and picking up Scott's GF are all on my agenda for today.

Finish It Friday
I guess it is about time that I finish transferring my winter clothes up into the attic, but I am not much in the moods for that. What is a few more days? If I wait long enough, we will be back in Autumn and I can save myself the trips up there. LOL

Hope you all have a great day and know that you are loved.

Phyllis- I hope that your DS appreciates the vodka too. Its a very cool gift. I feel that way a lot about gifts for my IL's. They have plenty of money to get anything they want, what in the world can I buy them that would make an impact? Thank goodness that they loooove pics of the grandkids!! (At least that is what they tell me hah!)
and 83*? It was cold here again-- stuck in the 50's. Same here today too I think-- warmer but rainy.
I would love a nice hot day where i can get out and get some color in my face ignoring all skin cancer risks.....

Kristi- no worried, I lose days all the time! Snow?? That is horrible! Yuck! Do the chicks and ducks need extra protection if it gets cold?

Nancy- ugh about your son being rude to you. Hope it got through his head ok. And an outdoor game in January? Wow!! Where is it going to be played?

we have to fight the tendency for family members to think of us as wallpaper....

hmmmmmm.......... why have I felt this way before?

Trudy- how cool re: the poster! Can you share a pic of it, I would love to see it! Good for you for walking in the rain.
I am not sore from the sit ups but I do feel it when I am doing them. I also hear it-- my knees and spine sound like rice krispies!!!
It makes me sad to hear about you ladies who have lost your moms. I can't imagine it and I worry about what I will do when that day comes. I try to not think about it at all, but when I do, it's ... I don't know if I have a word for it.
Big hugs to all of you and I am sure that your moms are looking down with pride and love.
Did you get to do some painting? You are so talented! Is there any type of market to sell your painting and/or teddy bears? Wouldn't it be so nice to have that as your job if the bank doesn't work out?

Terry ugh!! Drs offices are the pits. Did you get your test results? Fingers crossed tight for good results.
The dinner sounds super-interesting! Quail....*shudders* LOL
How was your visit with your mom? Is she is any less pain, any more mobile? Hugs to you both!

Edish! hahha!! I thought it was Friday too!! :pound:

we're often totally lost and sometimes clueless on a lot of levels in here!!

Are you talking about *me*?????

Angela-- wonderful news about Ben!!! Hope you got some scrap time in too.

Chris, you KNOW what i think about people who lecture ME about the mood i'm in.... the air turns blue with the stuff directed at that person that comes out of my mouth. wanna hire me to swear at people?? i am SOOOO good at it!!!

such weirdness and tragedy in Boston. and so "funny" listening to the news media trying so hard NOT to say stuff. :mmph:

it's gonna be a gray day here. that's OK, 'cause all i'm doing is more laundry and packing a lot of stuff into the car to take to The Grandmen's house. like a cello. i've been listening to Hubby opine for days that "you're never going to fit all this in the car." sigh.... :blabla: i ALWAYS do fit it. and he ALWAYS say that.

enjoy Friday! make some ART! (hahaaaa! i should take my own advice!!!)

Morning ladies... MG is all excited about the manhunt going on, the cop in him is coming out and its like he's back at work again, not excited in a happy way, just gets his adrenaline going. He is off to his other job now but really wants to stay home and watch the news. I was so amazed at the American people and their strength over all of this! As I watched the hockey game in Boston the other night I told MG that we haven't heard the USA sing their anthem so loudly and with so much pride in a long time!! It brought tears to my eyes!!

Chris - I think you should try Phylis's trick and make the air turn blue when people lecture you about your mood!! :becky: Don't worry we still love you!! Even when you are crabby!! We all get that way now and then and you are allowed to be grumpy whenever you want to be .... so there!! :mmph: Here is a link to the layout that Nancy did for me and MG... so cool!! https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/s...le=2013apr10-boston-bruins-for-trudy&cat=1351 Wish I could make a living with the painting, I can't do teddy bears anymore, they are so hard on my fingers and hands! Not much market for my painting, because you can get so many things mass produced for much cheaper I am sure. It would be nice though to just paint for a living!!

Phylis - Have fun at the Grandmen's house and I know that you will get all that stuff packed into your car!! MEN!! WTH do they know!! LOL Do you still play the cello? Did you really manage to get that packed into your car? You are good!! Wanna come and pack my suitcase when I go to stay with DH and the new baby? I have so much stuff to take out to her and I am not a good packer! You should do a page about packing your car, I would love to see that!! Have fun doing your laundry ! Enjoy the day!

I will try to get my one painting project done today and then get a picture of it to show you girls. Off to get some breakfast and turn this depressing news off! Try to have a great day everyone!! :hugs: to all of my USA friends !!

I feel like death warmed over....I am watching the neighbors 2 kids (3 and 4yrs of age) while she is home recovering from a c-section...I'll have them til tomorrow around 1...last night I had to finally seperate them into different rooms.....Helena finally went to sleep around 10pm Sebastian(3) around 10:30 and Tea(4) finally around 1130ish....I crawled into bed around midnight (where Helena was btw) and got continually kicked in the back all night which = very little sleep

good morning - the news out of Boston is so unexplainable to me. The whole area under lockdown. I hope the end is peaceful and soon. A bit of good news for me is that my NJ Devils actually won a game by defeating the Flyers 3-0. So my team can actually score goals. They went over 140 min without scoring a goal. Gray here today but very warm and perhaps thunderstorms. Spring is springing.

Chris I agree nothing good comes from being lectured at. As adults or even young adults like your kids it should be all about discussion with no raised voices. Hard to accomplish LOL.

Phylis I know you fit everything in your car. Some people just have this special spacial gene that allows them to see space. My DH has this gene and he is amazing at packing. I always disliked geometry and chemistry because my mind really has a very hard time seeing in 3D.

Trudy the anthem before the Bruins game was very inspirational and the whole opening ceremony was very emotional. Even now they are not sure there will be a game. Both morning skates were cancelled. Hope your painting goes well. Would love to see the photo of the finished painting!

Have a great day all.

Chris: I have lived my life in the Scarlett O'Hara mood: Tomorrow is another day
(and can only be better, right?) LOL
I m sending you the best of hugggzz and I so SO know how you feel!!!!!

and as Phyllis well said, I could have written those words:
Chris, you KNOW what i think about people who lecture ME about the mood i'm in.... the air turns blue with the stuff directed at that person that comes out of my mouth. wanna hire me to swear at people?? i am SOOOO good at it!!!
:yarpirate

you have me too, and I'm sure I can speak for Phyllis too: we wont even charge you !!! LOL

Phyllis, yes, terrible the tragedy…I have a friends in Boston and was so worrying until we heard they were ok…. I honestly can't get the human race…the more we advance in knowledge, the more the evil stupidity and violence comes to happen…my dad calls that the Isaui Law…something about the good and bad in the world being proportionate in growth…I googled it and didn't find anything…my dad is 85 though, and a mad scientist LOL

LOL at fitting it all in…. we travelled a lot moving around when I was little, and my mum taught me how to pack properly for more space, and Sarita is the envy of all her friends as she has this skill too now :)
and yes to making some ART!!!!!!
(you could delight us with one of your pages too if not too painful…btw I got my optician appointment (diabetes is nagging in my head as I have been eating badly) which I actually remember because of something you said…thanks for reminding me!
Have lots of fun, enjoy the grandmen and family in general!!

Trudy, I know the feeling of the adrenaline about cases in which our inner law enforcement comes out (I was an immigration officer here for 6 years, in an enforcement squad, with warrant card, gun, the lot) and in this case, I think I would be even frustrated not to be able to be part of that man hunt….
Is great to see a nation coming together with passion…shame that something tragic has to happen to get us/any nation united :(

LOVE the page Nancy made you!!!!!! I'm not a sports person but love the blending and the visual in general, is gorgeous!!!!!!

And yes, am with you : Chris: we love you all the way, no matter what!!!

It would be amazing if you could live from the paintings…it is so sad that these days so much is done by machine that hand made art becomes a no go to support a life….
Hope you get something done and bring LOTS of happiness and enjoinment into your heart…
as for the news…I never turn them on these days to start with LOL

Kiliki: I feel your pain…as much as is difficult to deal with my teenage daughter…toddlers are not easy to deal with, especially of they aren't yours…. hope you get some sleep and get rested to enjoy the weekend hugggzzz

Nancy see above about Boston and ohhh LOVE your page for Trudy!!!!!

in my life things are getting better slowly, I updated the post I did the other day, if anyone is interested in more details…but am hoping things will work out better now…

For my Finishing Friday….finally bought the fridge freezer after 3 days of torture looking online and getting dizzy LOL

I also want to thank you all again for giving me a place in this super amazing family….the one thing going well in my life is the scrapping side of it, and you guys are all HUGE part of it…so here is my super huge special hug to everyone, with all my heart.
I know some people find it cheesy and wave me away or laugh at my emotional/latin feelings/expression…but the truth to be said: life is a bunch of emotions and my CT colleagues and scrappers friends have become very string part of my life,…I spend a lot more time with you guys than some of my "real life" friends…to me this is as real as it gets….
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!
