The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
It's here, it's here, it's HERE!!!!!
Almost 7 long weeks since I have been at work but it's happening :D
(Talk to me at 4 pm when I am home and exhausted.)

Yup, I have some butterflies in my tummy about the program today but don't I usually have them? I think I do. :nod1:

When Scott was over for coffee yesterday, he showed us some cute videos of Logan. That kid is adorable. Logan calls him "Uncle Got" but at dinner the other night, he said "Scott" clear as day. Apparently, everyone at the table looked at him, Sara (his mom) said "What did you say!?" He looked down and said, "Got." :rotfl:
Poor little guy, he must have been so confused.

I spent the rest of my day getting all of my planning done. I soaked the beans for the dissection and printed up the cards for the germination skit. I also set up my hummingbird feeder/camera. I got a few notifications already -- but not for hummers. I had a few goldfinches sitting on the perch looking quizically at it. I wanted to scrap but my brain was fried crisp by the time I was ready to sit and relax. Next thing I knew, it was time to cook dinner.

I'm going to post this, I *think* Jaida wants to go outside. You never know with her. She dances around at the door but when we let her out, she either refuses to go or stands on the steps. Silly dog!

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

I have Easter minions.
That is so cute!
I'm going to have surgery woo hoo! Hip is bone on bone.
Ugh on one hand. Good for you and hopefully pain-free once you are healed on the other.

I think you asked and answered your own questions LOL As long as you wear your boot you will be fine. DONT push it!! And dont give the fam a change to say I told you so. That would be bad. It will be amazing tomorrow. You will be exhausted after but oh its gonna lift your spirits and help the healing.
Nope to any I told you so's. :p
I think it is definitely going to be good for my spirit. TY!
I glanced out the window and saw a caribou!!
WOW!!!! I know you said "little caribou" but my guess is that they aren't little at all. How do they compare to the size of a moose? (And are they faster than Moose-Lyft?)

*waving hello to everyone else who stops in today!*

Good Morning!

It's here, it's here, it's HERE!!!!!
Almost 7 long weeks since I have been at work but it's happening :D
(Talk to me at 4 pm when I am home and exhausted.)
Wishing you the best day ever Chris! Hope your not too wore out!! I can just see you, getting home, hitting the couch and not moving again but the happy smile on your face will say it was so worth the effort. :heartpumppink:

Caribou are smaller then moose. More in the width but some in height. I will see if I can load a photo of him here. It wasn't a great photo as I was upstair and he was walking away from me. On the way to get my haircut yesterday we passed several moose.

Today is a low key day but busy. Helping a friend run errands. Will have my book with me so I can read while waiting.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning, all. Hope everyone is doing okay. Yesterday was a busy running around day. I discovered the coffee pot I bought 2 days ago did not have a timer/automatic shut off. I had not opened the box. So... took it back to the store and got a refund. Then discovered the programable one in the brand I wanted was not in stock. Another programable Pot was on sale $40 and I had a 30% off coupon so got it along with 4 tee shirts. But when the check-out total came it up it was more than it should have been... I went back to check the sale and sure enough... it rang up at $20 more than the sale price! Got a sale associate to check it for me... then back to the refund desk (again!!!). Then discovered that the 30% coupon wasn't good for it. So got a refund on it as it would have been $40+.... Had to get a few things at WM and decided to check out the coffeepot prices there. Turns out the exact same programable coffee pot was only $21!!! Whoo-whoo!! At least I ended up with 3 tee shirts from Wed and 4 tee shirts on Thurs. Time to weed out the too short tees in my closet!!

I got home around noon - just before the winds and dust storm hit... wind gusts up to 63mph and dust storm so thick I couldn't see the mountain!!! (Visibility less than 2 miles!!) It was still blowing when I went to sleep last night. It is sunny 60*F but the snow/rain front will be here this afternoon... and the high tomorrow will only get to 47*F. Back to wearing sweats and sweaters.

The back is still 'iffy' - am sure that the weather is causing it. I talked to DD#3 yesterday. Her grandson got diarrhea (from daycare) this past week and gave it to everyone in the house including her!!! She said it was wide-spread. I must have picked it up a couple of weeks ago when I had been out and about. She hopes to get down to see me now that they are all over it.

Managed to get a couple of LOs made - just waiting for the release dates. And then Color Play will be here next Thursday... and NSD right after that... Will be a busy time. Feel like I am far behind on challenges this month.

@faerywings - Glad to hear you are wearing the boot... better to be safe than sorry!!!

@AK_Tracy thanks for showing the photo of the caribou! Great shot of him!!

@JeanneMN Sorry you have to have surgery... but understand why you are ready to get it over and done with!!

Good Afternoon!
Been busy this week cleaning out "stuff" except for yesterday. Took a break and spent some of the day with Ilene, Elisabeth (my daughter) and Abby, my DGD who just turned 14! We played Rummikub before we left to meet Abby's sister, Hannah (turning 21 this August) for lunch during Hannah's break from work. Hannah works for a church daycare. She talks nonstop about "her babies"! When Hannah had to go back to work, the rest of us headed to Save-a-buck. The line was ridiculously long! After we got back to the house we finished up the last couple of moves of the Qwirkle game we had started before we had to leave to meet Hannah. Then, remembering Mark and I were going to a concert last night, I took Ilene home and came home to get ready to leave. It was the string ensemble, a group of 5 young people who play for churches in the area. I have mentioned them before. There are 2 violinists, 1 violist, 1 cellist, and 1 pianist. They make beautiful music together. Only one young man who plays the viola.

Our HVAC guy brought the repaired motor back and the heat is running! Thank You, Lord!

Getting ready to get dressed to go out and help Mark get the dead tree down that is by my she shed. We are going to leave stumps to put bird houses on.

Worked on a couple of Color Play pages for CarolW this morning. Need to pack up some more stuff this afternoon after I help Mark with the tree.

HAGD!

I *think* Jaida wants to go outside. You never know with her.
Asher does the same thing.....wants to go out "to pee" but ends up just being nosey. He may hike his leg to dribble and mark "his" spot, but nothing else!
Poor little guy, he must have been so confused.
AWW! He misread everyone's astonishment! He just needs some encouragement!
Yup, I have some butterflies in my tummy about the program today but don't I usually have them? I think I do. :nod1:
YAY for going back to work! You will be back in the swing of things in no time! Hope your first day back goes well! :hug4:

Good afternoon ladies. I was out for a hair cut this morning, popped in next door to Winners and scored a good price on a pair of white leather runners and then went for a long walk with Remi. Now we'll head out to vote and then I can come home to relax for the rest of the day. I am making Shawarma Chicken for dinner (meal kit delivery) and am curious as to how it turns out, I've never made that before. We'll binge a show later, want to finish up Based On A True Story.

@faerywings We saw Young Werther a comedy/drama love story based on a 17th century book.

@AK_Tracy Cool pic of the caribou! I've only ever seen one at the zoo.

Gotta get out now to go vote. HAGD everyone. I'll check in over the wkend.

Sorry you have to have surgery... but understand why you are ready to get it over and done with!!
Yup, it's totally time. I was ready a couple years ago, but he wanted me to "jump" through a couple more hoops so I did physical therapy and got religious about physical therapy. The hip gave out on me in the restroom of the Key West airport on the way home and I limped my way on and off the planes and through the airports the rest of the way. If it had been the reverse it would have ruined the trip because we walked 262 miles in Key Wes
Worked on a couple of Color Play pages
I did too, only I used Joyce Paul's April Color Play. Haven't used one of hers yet, but as long as we have the last name even though we spell it differently it seems like other than one letter, we're related. I shot myself in the foot 3 times before I actually got it going. Sort of hiccup, hiccup, burp .....

This is what a Minnesota caribou looks like this

As much as a ding a ling as Kaley Cuoco is, this show is an absolute hoot. My latest mindless wonder is "Younger" on Netflix. Honestly it makes some great points about how little woman are valued when they reach a certain age - The boss wis straight out of the "Devil Wears Prahda" and her jewelry is just over the top crazy-

We got 3/4" of rain lant night and this morningWe got 3/4" of rain lant night and this morning. It's been really dry and fire warnings over most of the state so this has been needed. Grass is starting to green up, now if it would just get warm garden plants might actually grow. Rhubarb is like a foot tall already, but it's on the south side of the garage. Got a text this afternoon from the bike shop that my bike is ready to pick up, so we'll go get it tomorrow morning. Other than that I'll work on the layout I started today.

@faerywings so glad you were able to finally work! How did it go? Also, the parakeet hasn't been here at our feeder for a couple weeks, but a neighbor texted the other day saying she saw it at her feeder. I'm glad he's alive and well!
@JeanneMN Sorry to hear you're having surgery but happy you'll be pain free afterwards!
@vickyday your new hair cut is adorable.
@BrightEyes Glad you got the coffee pot straightened out! It would be a bad day to not have a coffee pot in the house!

Today was a day off for Good Friday, but I worked a couple hours tonight. After service tonight I had to do some Sunday set up, which included putting an information card on every seat - all 2000 of them. LOTS of people jumped in to help and it didn't take long. Then even though it was late, Mark wanted to get something to eat. We went for some Mexican food. Now we're finally home and I winding down a little. No better way than to catch up with my O friends! Our next door neighbor saw Hummingbirds, so I'll get our feeder up tomorrow. Last year I did a very poor job with my hummingbird feeders so I took them down altogether. This year I'll take care of them properly!

I watched most of Younger a few years ago but can't find it online to finish watching. Our netflix doesn't have it. It is a good show, I agree.
