The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Kinda not thinking TGIF for myself- this week off went way too fast. Sad to admit it- but I feel more stressed than I did before the break.
Oh well, I still have three days to get some down time, right?

I know I have said it before, but I can't say it enough. You ladies mean the *world* to me. I am so thankful that so many of you took the time to read and comment on my Lyme story. Just knowing that you are thinking and praying for my family does so much for my heart. There are many times I get bitter and depressed about it all. It gets overwhelming - just a tad *wink* But when I think of you, behind me, it truly helps me to keep going.
You say that I am strong- but I don't think I am. You should have seen me lose it yesterday- Gary decided we should all go back to out low/no carb Lyme diet. And he is right, it is better for us. But, Cait and I hate meat and healthy food is so much more expensive than the cheap crap. And I have a hard time planning/cooking meals more than ever. Totally pushed me over the edge....... Then I read your comments, they really really helped.
Thank you again.

Sandra- sounds like a very relaxing morning- soaps and coffee! Love you back hon!!

Oh yuck Joslyn- that darn truck/bus is at it again. Hope that you slept good again. Have a great time at the zoo! And just think- only a few more weeks! Do you think you'll go early? (but noooo! You don't want a Taurus LOL-- Gary is one, man is he stubborn, like the bull. I swore that I wouldn't have Scott early and have 2 Bulls-- no, what do I get- a Taurus/gemini cusp baby --"best" of both worlds rotflmbo!)
Anyway, hope you are resting as much as you can!

Dawn, oh yuck..... I hope that your migraine went away. I see how frequently you get them.... is there anything you can do to prevent them? (Yeah, like you wouldn't be doing that already) Well, YKWIM! Wish there was something I could do for you. *pulls blinds on all of Dawn's windows*

That reminded me of one my my worst migraines- I was in college and my roomies had thrown a big kegger. Normally I would have been down there, no prob ;) Except that a migraine was killing me. Or at least I thought it was killing me until some big dude found a beer mug with a bell (like a bike bell) on the handle. *riiinnnggg* *rinnnnggg* AHHH! I went downstairs, ripped the mug out of the guys hand (he was real big too, and I am not LOL) and told him if he touched it again I was going to kill him.
Then I decided to stay downstairs and have a few beers to numb the pain buhahahahahah!

Clara- oh my- how awful for your friend and her sister. Does the sister have any chance of beating it? I will be thinking of her.
What is it about beer/men/not listening? Its an epidemic, I say! LOL

Oh yeah, I sent out my letter to as many people as I could yesterday- My 2 Senators, my Rep., Obama, Michael Moore, Oprah, the Attorney General of CT who is investingating IDSA (Inf. Disease Society of A-- who made up these ridiculous treatment plans (they used their own research *only* to decide what Lyme is and isn't, even though there is so much more research out there that negates theirs).... I tried to get through to the SubCommittee for HHS in Congress but their inbox was full and it bounced back heh.
Today I am working on local media.
Any other ideas??

kelly- oh you didn't want to re-use that toothbrush? LOL Those pretzels look delish!!!!, choc covered pretzels are a huge weakness of mine. Hope everything works out with Nico and YMG- hope you don't have to tase him :D

Dawn, just reading your update- sorry to hear that you needed thatshot, but I am happy that you are feeling better. Sometimes dopey is good LOL

K-Bamm.... if you see this, I am thinking of ya!

And to all of my O-Fam-- love you too!

Anyone have anything for Finish It Friday?
I know Jos wants to finish gestating heeeheee!

I got another F-W order (woo hooo!) that I need to work on, plus I have to do the ACDsee work I didn't do yesterday.
I am also trying to restart my Project 365......is anyone else out there still doing theirs?

Hope you have a wonderful and happy day!
xoxoxoxo

Chris-your post brought a smile to my face :).

I'm running late, as usual, LOL. I'll be back this afternoon though :).
Headache better today although I feel very hungover and not in a good way, I hate drugs, ugh. Beer, though, beer I loooove!!!

Later gators! Love y'all!

good morning! I did do some relaxing yesterday morning, but then I got working on my upstairs... I got the sheets changed on Will's and Piper's beds, and all 3 kids' bedrooms cleaned except for vacuuming... today, I'm going to work on mine... then Gabe can help me with the downstairs this week...

We're grilling out tonight... its going to be a beautiful day here... plus after it warms up a little I need to get my flower boxes for the deck rail done... I bought some gerbera daisies for one box and some petunias for the other... I also need to put together the deck chairs and umbrella we bought, but its been too chilly for it... but looks like we're finally getting warm and staying that way... hallelujah! I just hope its warm for next weekend... current forecast says sunny and 76... but we're still a week away!

anyway, I gotta get going.... a customer is having a problem with a download and I gotta check it out... have a great day everyone!

Hang in there Chris! You have to vent and let it out. Not only are you dealing with the Lyme yourself but you are caring for everyone else and yourself. That is amazing! ((huggers))

Dawn, ((huggers)), peace and quiet and mellow lighting for ya. Migraines are horrible. Now, beer is yuck...scotch is good...wine is too...and well maybe some margaritas too.

Sandra enjoy your day. We are having beautiful weather too. However, we are going to have an early summer I think. They are predicting 90 on Sunday, 92 on Monday. I like the mid 70's much better.

Kelly, those pretzels came out darling. What a great shower favor.

My finish it friday is to get caught up on the housework that wasn't done while I was out of commission. Slowly..... :)

Have a great Friday everyone.

Good morning ladies!

Chris - Keep hanging in there dear. This might sound silly, but what about sending the letter to Michelle Obama too? She might not be getting as much mail. =) And are there any celebrities that are advocating for Lyme's patients?

Dawn - Hope the migraine went away. Margaritas and beer....you gals are making me thirsty! =)

Sandra - Glad the weather is turning, that always makes one feel better doesn't it? And nothing beats the smell of grills going in the neighborhood! And good job on the cleaning...it's more than I've been doing!

Merkee - Good luck getting your housework done! Hope the day goes well. Take it easy and don't push yourself though.

I took a personal day today with the intent to get my nails and hair done, maybe shop a little, since I really didn't Monday. Perhaps get some projects done. And isn't it always Murphy's law....Ben spiked a fever again in the middle of the night and still has it this morning. He's still coughing and his lymphnodes have been swollen. Then he told me his mouth and tummy hurt. But he's in really good spirits. So *sigh* I have kept him home from daycare and have called the doctor's office. I think dh may come home so I can still keep my hair appointment though. So at least that's something.

And tonight...the girls are hitting the piano bar! There's going to be around 6-10 of us depending on how many end up coming. So I have that to look forward to. And at least I'll be able to get some work done around here.

I'm being asked to make some pancakes now...so I'll check back in later! Have a good day!

Hey ladies. Yesterday I had this huge post typed up and in the middle of it, my laptop shut down. I was in no mood to retype so I gave up.

Today I'm in a mood again. The kids are still sick. Boden has a fever again, isn't eating and now has some diarrhea. What is up. Seriously. Plus, Ella is in a foul, foul mood for a 4-year old. Everything has been setting her off. Last night at supper time she got upset b/c Eric asked her to wash her hands before the meal. She cried for almost an hour, I kid you not. I finally made her sit in her room so the rest of us could eat in peace.

Anyway. things are just piling up and I'm sick of it. I know I don't really have that many issues but I'm feeling burned out right now.

Chris - love you girl. Do write to Michelle Obama. Contact your local media - newspapers, television. What about writing to a magazine - Good Housekeeping, Parents, something like that? They had a blurp on our news last night about winter ticks that are killing hundreds of cattle in our state right now. Some farmers are losing huge chunks of their herd. One farmer had lost 54 cattle in the last few months, and at $1500 per animal, it adds up. Pretty crazy stuff. I have read your story before, awhile ago, but will read it again today. I have to remind myself that Lymes can happen to anyone, and I have to be so careful, especially with the kids. Hugs sweetie.

Dawn - ugh girl. I so feel for you. The shots suck but can help sometimes, too. Man don't they sting like crazy!!! I have had them a few times, right in the buttcheek. Ouch. I hope you feel better!

Sandra - man I can't wait to do some planting. Your weather sounds gorgeous! It hit 70 here a few days ago. Heavenly!

Merkee - good luck finishing things up today!

Sara - Oooh sounds like a really, really fun night!! I am SO jealous. I am so sorry Ben is sick, and on your fun "me time" day of all days!!! What rotten luck. I hope he feels better!

Well, I think I'm gonna finally get me and Ella dressed, and we'll walk down to the mail box and get the mail. I need some fresh air before I go crazy.

Good morning everybody!! Today is a good day after a pretty crappy night. Addie was like Ella and just in a horrible mood at the dinner table. I can't remember what she wanted but it was silly and she couldn't have it. then she just wouldn't stop crying and wouldn't stay in her seat. I finally had to strap her into her seat which made her really mad. So then I came up with the great idea that we would walk to the park after everyone ate. My DH was sitting right next to me and was going along with it. So we all finished eating and were getting ready to go when DH announced he was going to the store to get dog food. He does that to me all t he time. It seems like everytime I come up with a plan to do something all together he decides it isn't worth his time and I can just take care of it and spend the time with the kids. He doesn't like to go to the park, play board games or whatever. It is just so frustrating. He has a hard time understanding that we can't only play our games with the kids. We have a friend who's kids don't like to hunt, fish or any of that kind of stuff so he goes out and does his thing while his kids sit at home watching TV and playing video games. I don't understand why people don't get that kids don't have to like what we like and we don't have to like what they like but we have to support them and nurture them anyway. So frustrating.

Okay...I feel so much better now. So, I just had the coolest patient. He is this older man and he was just full of all sorts of interesting information. We talked about his wife being a hospice nurse (hospice nurses are sent straight from heaven in my opinion), his previous wife battling cancer, his grandkids, my kids, him being a physics teacher. He had a large set of x-rays that took awhile but they took even longer because of all the gabbing. I think I had him in the room for nearly an hour. I'd have to wait for him to take a break talking to tell him to hold his breath or whatever. He wasn't just one of those yappy people but an actual interesting person who had so much information and life experience. I just feel good now. I have other older patients that are old and crotchety and they always make me laugh a bit but it was just cool.

Today will be cool. We have a catered lunch. Hopefully it is something yummy and not super fattening. I've cut myself off of sugar though. It was really too bad. After my husband and I had our big fight he went to Costco (after the trip to the park) and brought me back some Quik (my favorite thing in the whole world) and then felt all bad since he knew I wasn't eating sugar anymore. It was still sweet and a nice peace offering either way. But no sugar is soooooooooo hard. I am a sugar fiend.

Tomorrow I am taking Ethan to see Hannah Montana. I am so glad he likes Hannah Montana because I think she is too cool. I love the show and think it is cool when Ethan wants to watch it. It just makes me laugh. Plus I just love Miley Cyrus. She's not perfect but she's sweet and when she messes up she says she messes up and apologizes for it. So, I definately don't mind Ethan liking her. It will be fun.

Well, That's about it. I'll do a new post for personals since this post has taken me forever to write. Hugs to you all!!

Lions and tigers and bears Oh My!!! We just got back from the zoo and it was fun but man it was a ZOO, crazy busy, I forgot that some schools are on break and there were a lot of families there. We go to the zoo almost everyother week in the summer and this was the most crowded I have ever seen it. Oh well, I got to walk and enjoy the sunshine the kids got to walk and enjoy the animals and are now out cold in bed for hopefully an hour cuse mama wants to take a nap too :).

We are on track for another beautiful day tomorrow so I'll probably take them to the park for *HOPEFULLY* the last time in a few weeks. Gunar has to work half day tomorrow so it may be an afternoon trip so that he can come too its nice to have two sets of hands with two little ones....not sure how this outnumberd thing is going to go!!!

Tali&Clara~ There must be something going around with little girl drama b/c Kali has been Miss Drama queen the last two days. EVERYTHING sets her off and she spent a good chunk of the day calming down in her room yesterday.
