Good mOrning/afternoOn/evening!
Hope that all of you slept in and feel great.

I was able to sleep until 6.30! I woke up at my regular time, but was able to get back to sleep. Yay! It was a long and exhausting day yesterday and it was so nice to get home, put on my pjs and chill a bit.
Scott's appt went really well- he is still off of his abx, using monolaurin, a coconut oil based antibacterial/viral supplement, and Bio-Fibrin, another supp to break up biofilms that surround bacterial clusters, and that was that.

Cait was a little more complex and she and I were both kind of rattled by the end. She gained weight, according to his scale, broke 100 lbs. As people recovering form anorexia, we both felt that as a gut punch. Not sure if I can explain it, but certain numbers hit us and triple digits is it for her. Used to be mine too- first time I broke 100 I was pg with scott, and I don't think I have ever been below it again. She went throuhg her "symptoms" and he is not sure if it is a relapse of Bartonella or more situational issues for the nausea, lymph nodes etc. Took lots of blood esp for her iron deficiency (suggested a hematologist if the numbers don't come up, ugh!) and we will go from there.

This weekend I have to get my act together and get this office sorted out. I am starting to lose things, including the little bit of my mind I have left.

Hope that all of you have fabulous weekends planned!

Oh!! There was a really good "event" yesterday. I woke Gary up before I left and asked him about me going to my parents for a weekend away. He looked at me and said "Why are you even asking me? Of course I am ok with it." I knew that would be his response but I needed to check first. Just to be nice. :)
Asked my parents at b-fast yesterday and of course they were all for it. Looked at the calendar and already picked a date.

Nancy- It is so cold and windy here too. Jaida just wants to be outside, all of the time, she has so much energy to burn. It is times like this that I wish we could have a fenced in yard.
Good to hear that you are feeling better! How did your team play, any better?
*green with envy but in a good way re: the MacBook Pro*

Rae- I can't wait for you to take photos of Taz and Ava together too! Big congrats on the job!!!
We caught up on a few shows last night too, Better Call Saul, Criminal Minds and Limitless.
Poor Taz and his allergies, it is wild that he reacts that quickly. Hugs to him!

xoxo

Morning ladies... This is really wierd, but I thought I posted this big long post yesterday???But between doing things with the kids and the Dog always wanting me to play with her too I guess it got trashed some where some how! We had a fun day yesterday, Sadie and I had a tea party and Isaac had a friend over and they played video games for a bit. Then we all went sledding. It was a beautiful sunny day and the snow was quickly melting, the kids had a blast and were soaked right through their snow pants so I had lots of :washing: to do later on. Then Sadie had dance and we talked with their Mom and Dad for a bit. Sadie got the cutest little ballerina outfit for her dance recital, soooo stinking cute!!

Chris - I hope that Cait does not freak out too much about hitting the 100 mark!! A young woman her age should weigh at least that much!! Besides its just a number, right? Nice to hear that Scott is still doing so well! I hope that they can find something to make you and Cait feel better!! So happy for you that you have picked a date to go to your Mom and Dad's how wonderful to be able to do that and just go and vegetate and relax, you deserve it!! Try as I might I have only been able to make one layout since I have been here and I doubt that I will get a chance to scrap at all now. Hoping to catch up with everything when I get back home at the end of this week.

Well everyone is wanting pancakes for breakfast this morning, so I better get those started. It has started snowing like crazy here again hoping it doesn't get too bad as we want to hit the swimming pool after lunch today. If the snow gets too bad it might be a movie and popcorn day at home for us. Keep your fingers crossed that it stops soon please!!

Good morning, ladies. Looks like the rain is back. I'll be letting Bruin (the choc lab across the street) outside later so Taz will get to visit with him and run around the yard. His owner is at work today. Looks like my outfit for the day will be jeans, hoodie, raincoat, hat and rain boots. It'll be muddy with the dogs running and sliding around the yard. I'm be working on tax stuff again and need to get to the produce market later. Later this afternoon I'll work on some CT stuff and if I get that all done, tonight I can relax with my hubs, watch tv and scrap a bit. Lately I've been getting too tired, not wanting to scrap too late into the night, but it's nice to sit down after dinner and scrap for a bit. I must be getting old LOL.

Chris - it'll be so nice for you to get away and have some quiet, relaxing time with your parents. I can only imagine how hard it was for Cait to see that number on the scale. I hope she is coping okay with it. My youngest girl had never been anorexic but she struggled with weight issues, not feeling good about herself if she was much over 100 and her self esteem really suffered. It took a lot of years for her to become comfortable at a size 2 or 4. She hits the gym 4-5 times a week and eats very healthy now so is more focused on health than weight so I think that is a step in the right direction for her.

Trudy - sounds like a fun time with the grandkids. Have you taken lots of pics?

Chris - we watched this weeks' episode of Criminal Minds. It was a good one, especially the ending to it. Love that show.

Time to get dressed and get on with my day. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

hello darlings! How are you all today?

I am hoping to get some down time today. I know, I always say that and then never follow through. I said to Gary yesterday that this was why I needed to go to PA:
I started pulling apart my supply closet in my office. One side had all of my Faery-Wings ingredients and essential oil. The other side is craft stuff, paper scrapping etc. Since I am getting rid of the photo albums, I need a place to put the photo boxes. I spent most of the morning/early afternoon doing that. Jaida was such an insane basket case I decided that I had no choice to bundle up and take her to the dog park. Scott and Leah wanted to come to so we went together. We were there for over an hour. It was chilly but the sun was out so it wasn't too bad.And my goodness, the dogs needed that!
There was one dog there who had us cracking up- big, tan pitty who had a ball that he was so content to run back and forth with it in his mouth. He would drop it, bat it around with his feet and nose, pick it back up, run some more. Little Kimber was there too and she always gets the dogs chasing her. Don't remember what kind of dog she is, but she is tiny - I think Catzilla is bigger(rounder!!) than her.
Got home, covered in mud and dog slobber and took a hot shower, put my pjs on. I cleaned up the dining room table so we could eat dinner. Made a new recipe for roasted red potatoes-- huge hit! I will post the recipe in a bit.

Today I have to finish sorting through stuff that didn't make it back into my closet. Then I have to tell myself enough is enough! (yeah right!!!! Will I listen???? )

The sun is shining and that looks so nice out of my window- hope that it is the same for you!

Here is the recipe:

Trudy- ugh, I hate when that happens! For me, it is when I think I have asked someone something, but it was only in my head!
What a fun day you had with the kids! You must be loving every minute- well, except the laundry! I hope that you are getting lots of photos too!
It is very hard for Cait to see the number on the scale even though we tell each other that we are not a number. She is not restricting which is huge, but she says she gets those urges. I understand that since I get them too. The only difference is that I am too old and tired to act on them. Starving yourself is hard work! I am saying that slightly tongue in cheek- but not really. It is hard work, which shows the desperation anorexics feel.
Yes!! Aren't my parents amazing??? OMG- they will do whatever they can to help me and my fam. No questions asked. I am sooooo freaking blessed. It breaks my heart when I hear of other people- both my age and the kids' - who don't have that. I know I have said it before that yes, we struggle financially, medically, etc- but our family and our extended family is so much more important that I would take my life with all of its hardships, over a financially stable and healthy one.
I feel like a little kid, it is my one opportunity to be not responsible for a few days, and can let my parents take care of me. Corny, I know :)
I hope that you get more time to scrap but you will have lots of opportunities when you get back home-- enjoy every minute with those kids! Pancakes! Yum!

Rae- Taz has so many friends! Lucky guy! As I said up there somewhere, it was muddy at the dog park too- but so worth it! We are all washable, right?
Hope that you were able to get some scarp time in after dinner. By 5pm, my brain is officially mush. There have been times (more often that I care to admit hahah!!) that I can barely keep my eyes open and focus on dinner. ;)
Oh man, sorry to hear that your DD had self esteem issues tied to her weight too. When I was in Tx, there was a girl in my group that was obsessive about working out. I obsessed over calories, she obsessed over how long she spent at the gym. It is so difficult. But good for her that she is more focused on healthy as opposed to the numbers. Yay!!
Wait- which Criminal Minds did you watch?? The one in LA? The ending was horrible! Yikes! But yes, I love that show- are you going to watch the new one, Beyond Borders? I think we will give it a shot.

Better get another cup of coffee if I want to get anything accomplished today.

::grouphug:cof3:

Morning O-zies!! Just a quick pop in here this morning while the kids are playing in their bedrooms. Today we are headed to the pool, the weather was awful yesterday so we made it a Movie and popcorn day and played some boardgames too. They would spend every minute of the day in front of a screen so I really have to get them outside at some point today. We need to take the dog for a long walk too sometime today. I am enjoying a wonderful cappuccino from my son's Breville Machine. He bought the real deal after being in Italy and getting addicted to Cappucinos there everyday. I am no Barista but yummmm these are pretty good!!

Chris - Sure hope you manage to find some down time today! I think that I will sleep for a week after this fun time with the kids! I love them dearly, but they wear this old gal out!! The Dog is very entertaining and does the craziest things to get your attention. But she is a real sweetie and listens to commands very well for such a young pup! She has the softest fur I have ever felt on a dog too. I know she is part golden retriever, but not sure what other breed is in there. So anyway we hope to get some fun time swimming today!

Rae - I can't believe that I am looking forward to the damp weather again! It is way too dry and cold for me here. Although the sun has been out and shining bright for most of the time. I miss the milder weather and will be glad to be home! Just wish I could bring the rest of the family with me too!! I don't want much :becky: Taz would love Storm, she is a very fun dog and gets along with all the dogs we encounter on our walks! I have taken a few pictures but only have my iPhone and left my big Canon Camera at home. Can you belive that my Son forgot to take his camera on vacation with him?? They could be getting so many great photos of St. Lucia, it just looks amazing there!!

Ok better get some breakfast for these kids and me too. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning- I think about you often, however 10 hour days with a 40 min communte each way wear me out. I am so excited though- I have scrapped twice this weekend!

Here is the last one:

Love your page, Laurie! Yes, that is a long work day, hope you are enjoying it.

The kids popped over yesterday so we sat around chatting for a few hours in the afternoon so didn't get much time put into sorting tax stuff so I'll do some this afternoon. I was ticked off about the onscreen tv guide last night. I pvr'd quite a few shows last week and a lot of them are not what was listed in the guide. I can pull a lot of them up on the laptop to watch but hate when the tv programming gets screwed up like that. The only good thing about it was that Chicago PD (I think that is the name) was pvr'd instead of Blacklist, which isn't a show we watch, but it turned out to be great that we had it b/c it was a crossover episode to the previous week's L&O SVU story.

Chris - I can't wait to see the Criminal Minds spin-off with Gary Sinise. The rest of the cast looks good too.

Trudy - you must be on your way home now, eh? I can't believe they forgot their camera...yikes. I would be flipping out lol.

I'm going back to sort thru drawers and bins, looking for tax stuff but also organizing other things and getting rid of some junk. Feels good to accomplish something today!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
