Happy happy weeekkkeeeeennnnndddddd!!!!
Wooooooottttttt!!!

I slept until 7. I could have gone longer, but I needed to get up and get busy-ish. This past week was such an exhausting one, and with the silly party tomorrow, I left a lot of stuff to get done today.

One good thing done: I spoke to my mom last night about Scott and the trial and as I predicted, she burst into tears, said she didn't want him doing it, and "what if he gets off and comes after Scott."
(Do I know my mom good or what?? However, its not hard, all I have to do is put myself in her shoes and then ramp it up a bit. LOL) The excellent timing turnedout to be that my SIL just walked in to my mom's house so I told her what was going on and asked if she could talk my mom down for me. He dad was a Jersey City cop forever and her brother recently retired as a NYC cop, one of her BF's works in her County prosecutor's office and another in NJ Attorney General's office. She has the best background to better explain to mom it is going to be ok.
It worked well, cuz I got an email from my mom saying that the more she talked to Kathy and my dad about it, the more she realized how its a good thing and how proud she is of Scott. I emailed her back saying that was *exactly* the same reaction Gary and I had. Apples don't fall to far from the tree, eh?:peace:

Let me post this and get some stuff together here. I have to wake Scott up soon too- he has his last Behind the Wheel session this morning and then gets his full Learner's Permit. ack!

xoxoxo to all of you!

Good morning a rainy grey day in NJ but at least it is above freezing so no snow! I am battling a bit of a head cold so just going to enjoy watching hockey and scrapping.

Trudy hope the results from the sale of the store work out how you want them to. Must be a bit stressful to not know what is going to happen.

Chris glad that your Mother calmed down. Nice that your SIL could help. I think we all watch so much police TV shows so we expect the worse LOL

Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh Laurie sounds like a heavenly day!
Enjoy!!!!!

Linda S- gah!!!! Did you end up getting any snow, just not blizzard stuff? 2 weeks ago- the weather forecasters said 20+ for my area and we only got 14" - thankful for that. But it makes no sense???!!!
Hope that you were able to enjoy your coffee and were able to work from home ok. Bet all of this makes you want to run away to Maui permanently.

Phyllis- we have the sleet here right now. Make it all go away!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!! *stomps foot*
Glad you like my idea of cat poop currency. We could even branch out into Hairball Treasury Bonds. :D

Linda- Customer Service?? What's That??? Its like the deal that The Customer is always right. Out the window and never to be seen again. Bah humbug!

Oh Terry...... that is awful new about your mom. Many good thoughts to you and her. Good luck today and I hope that whatever is going on is easily treatable, one can hope!!! (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))

OMG- Trudy, that is crazy! Really crazy.... my fingers are crossed that this all works out for the best for you. I was so happy that your boss was transferred but now you have to deal with this. :(

Nana-- throwing you the blue bottles! Got a whole case of it for you!!!!!Its attached to a rope so I can pull you out of that hole when you are done with them

Hi Jen and meg!!!!

Nancy- hope that you were able toget a nap in! Stay dry(ish) today too.

Morning Lovely "O"'s!! My day just can't start without popping in here and I am late this morning!! Woke up and looked at the clock and couldn't believe I had slept til 8:30!! What a great sleep I had!! Yesterday at work we all talked about the sale of the store and we all have to try to stay positive that the new owners will want people that know what they are doing to work for them. Although I am sure that some will have to go, just hoping that they don't pick me and that they don't try to change my part time hours again!! But now we have to go through inventory AGAIN!!!! The first of April they want inventory totally done all over again UGGGHHHHH!!!! Well I am going to be like Scarlet O'Hara and not think about that today LOL :drama: Its the weekend and its a gorgeous sunny day, so I am going to enjoy every moment of this weekend!! So there!!

Chris - You know your mother so well!! LOL Glad that your SIL settled her down and made her realize that what Scott is doing is truly a wonderful thing!! Hope you enjoy your weekend and that your party turns out to be a fun one!! Good luck to Scott on getting his learners permit! Another scary thing for Mother's to have to deal with !!

Laurie - Sounds like a great plan for the weekend! I am still in my pj's too, maybe I will stay this way for a bit longer and just enjoy the comfort!!

Nancy - Do you have a tv in the room where you do your scrapping? That way you can do both of the things you like the best all at once LOL. Enjoy your day!!

Hi Nana , Jen, Meg and Phylis  hope you are having a fun weekend!!

Off to get some brunch, I think an Omelette with everything in it sounds pretty good this morning! Have a creative day everyone!

other than that, nothing went on here today. hope everyone had a good one. :becky:

Well it's after 8:30 and I have finally gotten in here today....Early basketball game and Jaiden's ballet class....I had a bunch of things to get done before Sharon and Savannah came to get me and Jaiden and we all went to the Disney show. The girls loved it!! I kind of did too... I was about as excited as they were when Buzz and Woody came out!! :becky:

But afterwards, Sharon dragged me to Target shopping...so we did not get home until about an hour ago....she really doesn't get the concept that the old lady in me can't handle but so much in one day!!!

TOMORROW...........MY DAD WILL BE 80 Years Young!!!! and OMG it's just hard to believe...most people I have know at that age are barely getting around, have dementia and have to have people do stuff for them all the time...NOT HIM!!!! He is very active, sharp as a tack and wants NO ONE to do ENNNNEEEEETHING for him!!!! We are having a small family party for him tomorrow after church...I invited his three brothers to come...so hopefully they will show up...he likes stuff like that...loves for people to fuss over him. I think it's WELL DESERVED!!!

Off to put my littles to bed....I doubt I am far behind them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy happy Birthday to my Nana's Dad!!!!!!!!! Give him a big kiss from the O-Fam!!!!
TBH- I used to do the same to my mom when my kids were little. I either never got out w/o them and when I could I would try to cram as much as possible into the day. Or if she was with me and the kids- she could poke around with them while I ran through the stores full speed ahead. The last few years I move much much more slowly and I feel bad what I did to her.

Phyllis- triplets. ohemgeeeeeeeeeeee. :faint:
Good luck to all of them and three times the blessings, right? :D

Trudy- Scarlet O'Hara is one of my heroes-- for a reason- that quote is often called upon by me too. Fingers crossed for smooth transition for you!

Nancy- heard that the devils lost yesterday :( Hope that they bounce back today if they are playing.

Morning all - had a great night of dancing last night and a couple we had lost track of from dance lessons way back showed up at the dance event we were at. Today, more cleaning and organizing in my craft area- oh the plans. I need to make or buy cabinets to go under my 10' long counter. I want to make it a rolling counter to enable more possibilities for room use- such as wheel it to the middle for a giant potluck dance event- right. Okay off to create!

Missed stopping in yesterday. Trying to remember what I did yesterday---oh yes, grocery shopping in the morning. I'm trying to cook meals that my mom and dad would like-feed us and them too. So--had lots to buy. She is not supposed to even fix anything for herself much less cook. Supposed to be off her feet--she couldn't stand anyway because she is in too much pain.

Craig and I golfed in a tournament yesterday afternoon. Our team did very well---we actually took first place. Each team member contributed--so it wasn't like there was any one player doing it all.

Came home cooked dinner and then we attended the candlelight service for the Walk To Siloam. The Walk to Siloam is like a retreat for homeless men. It is patterned after the Walk to Emmaus--if any of you are familiar with it. It is really awesome to attend a candlelight service for the Walk to Siloam.

Today--church in about an hour, then I think I'll be scrapping and cooking all day---probably mess with my camera too. Need to learn more about it.

Phyllis--triplets! I can't even imagine!

Chris--sound like you know your mom well! Glad she came around on the trial.

Nana--my dad turned 80 a couple of years ago. Had a great party for him! Think about it, 80 is a milestone. Have fun!

Nancy--hope that cold is getting better. Nothing worse than a head cold.

Trudy-prayers for you! Going through a sale and new ownership is stressful. Hope your job stays intact.

have a wonderful day.

Good morning ladies! First of all, Nana Linda, wish your dad a very happy 80th birthday. My mom would have celebrated her 80th tomorrow. Give him a big old hug and enjoy every minute of the celebration.

Chris, I am so glad that your SIL walked in when she did. Very proud mom moment for you to have with Scott and glad that your mom understands! It will be good when it is all behind you of course.

Trudy...I sure hope that the new owners don't cause too much havoc with your job. Uncertainty about work is never fun. But what can you do? Good attitude by you!

Morning Laurie...sounds like a great day in my book. I am going to try to replicate it here...I am NOT leaving this house today!

Nancy, I've picked up a nasty cold somewhere as well. So, I'm going to make this day about staying in and taking it slow. Some scrapping...some cooking...and maybe a nap!

Phylis...oh my...your niece is going to have her hands full for some time. I hope that she has a good support system. Although, how cute must three little babies be! WOW!

Nana, I hear you about the being worn out bit. Yesterday we had to be out of the house by 7:30 in the morning. Syd had a basketball tournament an hour away and they played their first game at 8:30. It was double elimination and they won three straight before losing the 4th game by 2 points in overtime. Which meant that they had to play that team again and lost by 1 point in the last game. So they only got 2nd place instead of 1st. You could tell that they were tired. As were we all...

Morning.... I should still be sleeping  it was 4am when I woke up and I guess I am paying for my great night of sleep the night before!! So here I sit trying to get motivated to scrap a page. But of course I keep getting side tracked by Pinterest and facebook and all kinds of other things!! Grrrr I have to get something going for a page!!! Maybe I shouldn't have had the giant cup of coffee that I made myself this morning??

Laurie - Sounds like the wheels are turning in your brain for some great plans! How nice that you got to see some old acquaintances !

Well I am going to try once more to get this page done, then I am back to bed for a couple of hours hopefully!!

Oooops...Terry, we were posting at the same time. What a good idea to double your meals so that your folks can eat them too. I am so sorry that your mom is in so much pain. I know that is hard for you to watch.

How many days until HI?

Good morning - Yes my Devils forgot how to play in the 3rd period of yesterday's game and lost to the Caps 5-1. Ovi's first hat trick in two years LOL. But they can redeem themselves because they play today against the Winnipeg Jets. Game starts at 5pm and then afterwards they are doing fireworks. Should be fun! Spent the day backing up my photos to my EHD and to flickr.

Nana Linda Happy birthday to your dad! 80 is so cool! My wish is to reach 100 healthy. I hope his brothers show up for him! Have a great day - hope to see a page about this!

Phylis wow triplets but love that they will have a basketball team. talk about not getting any sleep for awhile.

Trudy I have two HD TVs one in the kitchen and one in the TV room. I do my scrapping on my laptop so I can watch hockey and scrap to my hearts content.

Terry that is so sweet of you to be cooking for your parents and yourselves - I am sure that will be a lot of cooking. Hope you mom feels better soon. Congrats on the golfing tournament! 1st is pretty cool!

Laurie sounds like you are going to be busy! Your rolling counter sounds like a great idea!

Hope you have a great day.

hiya. i'm boring again today. i was thinking of going out just to get out, but the weather turned crappy. AGAIN. so here i am, doing laundry, ironing, making cauliflower "rice" stirfry for lunch and getting ready to make the pizza dough for dinner tonight. thrilling. gotta try to get a page going at some point, too, before i forget how to use PSE.

Nana, Happy BD to your dad. give him a giant smooch from The O-zies!

Terry, sounds like you are cooking up a storm! wish i could get motivated....

Laurie, post photos of your work room!! sounds amazing!

Trudy. 4 a.m. why IS it that we must PAY for a good night's sleep?? i slept from 10:30 until 5, decided i didn't FEEL like getting out of my reclinerbed, fell back to sleep and woke up at 7:45. so. if custom holds, i'll have a crappy night's sleep tonight!! keep the coffee coming!

Linda, bummer about the results of all the hard work for those games!! they must really be tired. but what a RUN!! sounds like they had a great season.

Nancy, fireworks at a hockey game?? how's that work? when the Pens used to play at the Civic Arena, the roof could open. but no one ever DID open it after the building was about 5 years old. Pittsburgh is totally GOOFY for fireworks. i swear that's how the Pirates make $$$. any time they want a sell-out, they schedule a Fireworks Night! of course, the masters of fireworks, the Zambelli's, are just about an hour north of the city.

OK. off to try find something to do that doesn't turn me to stone from boredom....:pout:
