Good morning/afternoon/evening O-Zies.
I have to make this quick since I stayed in bed until 6.30 or so and then spent the rest of my morning puttering around online.
Although my day *did* take a bit longer to get started. When I woke up, I turned on the computer, then the coffee pot. Brought Gary his meds and saw what io thought was a dog toy by the door. Nope, one of the girls had an accident. While I am cleaning that mess up, the cat is *screaming* at me from the top of the stairs. Take the dogs out, get the cat's food ready, bring that up. He didn't eat any of his dinner, so when I picked it up, the liquid sloshed all over me. (we have to mix a ton of water in his wet food for his kidneys). Yuck. I clean that all up, go downstairs to get some coffee and the pot is empty. When Gray set the coffee up last night, he had everything ready to go, except he forgot to put water in.
What a start.

Nothing is happening today other than cleaning the house a bit. Gary is making pizzas for dinner tonight and I am happy about that!

HAGD!

Good Morning everyone! I will be quick here also as we are putting in another busy Saturday! Grocery shopping and then a couple of Hardware Stores to hit for some supplies. Hopefully I will be able to get my rounds that I want. Gary needs a new pair of Jeans and few other errands to run. Hope to get home early enough to get back to my painting. DH has taken next week off, mostly because he has too many days off that he has never taken and the boss wants him to use them up. Also he wants to watch the hockey happenings and it will be our anniversary on Wednesday, so perhaps a trip to Victoria for a nice dinner and movie?? Anyway I hope you all have a great Saturday!

Chris - Sounds like you are having one of THOSE DAYS!! No coffee ready for you this morning??? That is no way to begin the day! Hope that the rest of your weekend goes much smoother! How nice to have your hubby make your supper tonight!!

Talk to everyone else a bit later!!

Hello girls,
Nothing is happening today other than detailed cleaning of the cat house. Mom is making pizzas for dinner tonight and I am happy about that! :pound: I work today, so not much time for anything else, as with dad, we plan to rewatch Star Wars and I'm trying to be on time for that.

Chris, everything will go better after the coffee!

Trudy, your plans for trip to Victoria sounds awesome way to celebrate anniversary! Before few days the model Nadia Kae, was talking at IG about trips and I tell her for your area, so she really hook up to this possibility. ;)

I was last posted yesterday so my messages to others are there.

Good afternoon all. It's a lovely day here in Texas today so after my hot tea (I'm a Brit living in Texas, afer all) and toast, I headed outside to putter in the garden.

It felt good to be able to do that as I haven't been able to do so for ages due to a fall in which I fractured a vertebra. I didn't do much - need to ease into it gently, but want to get some of the garden cleaned up before the heat of summer in Texas hits.

Now I'm thinking a cup of afternoon tea is in order :)

Hey there all
Popping in to say 'Hi' before starting my online masking class. So far I have learned how to make a grungy mask using some brushes supplied in the course. They are exactly what I was looking for. One that can make cracks, one for grunge one for text etc.
I started my exercise class with my trainer.. ooofff!I think he is trying to kill me! I was to do a side plank for 45 seconds. Ha! I couldn't get my butt off the ground let alone hold it. lol

Trudy, I saw the Dutch Pour you did ... awesome. Those colours are fantastic and so very bold.

Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning (almost afternoon), ladies. Had a busy morning, coffee and my book for awhile, then off to Costco when they opened, then groceries at Safeway, then home to put it all away. Searched the android box for movies for tonight (Jen is coming for dinner and movie night). I selected about 10 movies and will let Jen pick a couple.

I'm doing some CT work now, then will have lunch and watch a PVR show with D, before taking Taz out for a walk. Then home to do a few chores and then take Taz over to the pet store, before Jen comes.

So, a busy day but a pleasant one. The day is flying by.

Chris - what a morning you've had. Sure hope the afternoon is better. Enjoy the pizza.

Felis - pizza for you too...enjoy it!

Trudy - hope you get all your errands done and enjoy some painting.

Jayne - ouch....fractured verebrae sounds painful. Bet it felt good to get out into the garden.

Kythe - enjoy the brush class.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy Sunday to everyone! It is bright and sunny outside, but pretty cold ATM. It is supposed to get warmer in the 50s for the next few days. I am worried about my plants. My crocuses and daffodils are popping up already and it is way too early for them, by a few weeks at least. I usually get so excited when I see new growth but this time I am simply concerned.

I did have a good day yesterday. Not that I did anything special, it was just a nice day. We had a delicious dinner of homemade pizzas and then had a fantastic game of Pictionary after. It was Gary and me against Caitlyn, Scott, and Leah and we won by a smidge. ha! They got off to a great start but we caught up, slipped behind and then squeaked by. This time everyone laughed until they cried over my drawing of an ear. I don't even know what I did but they said it looked like a stick figure of an embryo. :pound: Oh and my "Vulcan" hand was pretty bad too. Scott says that I am trying to create a monster a la Frankenstein with my werewolf feet, an embryo ear, and the Vulcan hand. I can't wait to see what body parts I draw in our next game. hahaha!!

Today my mom is coming up to visit. My dad is in PA and she wants to get out of the house. She wanted to take me to lunch but Caitlyn wants to spend time with her recording her stories. She emailed me list of her questions and I think it is going to be phenomenal. I am not sure if we will go out to lunch or order in but either way, it will be a good day.

Sending hugs to everyone!

Trudy- how did you do with all of your errands? I hope you got everything done that you needed to do, especially with the rounds. Which painting are you working on now, another commission? Sorry that I can't keep track! A fancy dinner sounds fab!!

Felis- I bet your cats are very happy to have a clean house. Cait did that with the rats' cage yesterday. It is amazing the amount of poop 5 tiny animals can create in 24 hours LOL yay for pizza nights! Oh yes, everything got better after coffee! :D

Jayne- I am so jealous that you can do actual gardening without the worry I am having. Be careful out there with your back but I bet it felt soooo good to get your hands in the dirt.:)

Kythe (do you prefer Kythe over Karen?) - Oh you are so lucky to be taking a class in mask masking! I bet it is so much fun! Hope that you aren't too sore after the training session.

Rae- What movies did you and Jen watch? It sounds like a super cozy night for you. bet you had a great time together.

xoxoxo!!!!!

Guess I never made it here yesterday. We were up early (for us) to attend a bird club session (2 of 3) with a consultant trying to help us keep the group going and growing. It was sunny but cool but today we still have the sun and warming temps. We're shortly going over to Lake View in hopes of seeing a little hawk migration (saw a Rough-legged Hawk flying over there yesterday). Thursday at class I finished a drawing that's on the blog. More later.

Chris, sounds like a great day yesterday. I am not worrying about the daffodils here which have been up for weeks. They are really hardy and often out in the snow, even in bloom.

Felis, pizza for you too sounds great as is having the cat spaces cleaned. Shopping today?

Trudy, the Dutch pour looks beautiful! I agree the colors are wonderful and lovely design. I'm sure the commission will be a challenge but still sounds fun.

Waving to all I'm missing here, but need to get ready.

Morning, all. Somehow I forgot to post yesterday. It has been raining since yesterday... rain..pause... rain... wind... pause...rain. Off and On. Barely into the 40's right now. I've been cold so huddled in my sweats even with the inside temp at 72. Guess it is the remnants of the sore throat keeping my body cold.

I pulled out the laptop and plugged it in to recharge. Discovered it didn't have Excel on it. I was going to play around with it to see if I could make it work for the book inventory. Excel must be on DH's computer. Right now DH's computer is sitting under his desk and doesn't have a monitor plugged in - that was from when SiL was looking to move my stuff onto it.

Tomorrow is my friend's funeral so have to be up and going early. I know it will be a rough day emotionally. Then Tuesday, I have my hearing/aid check-up. Will do a few more errands on Tuesday after the check-up.

Chris, I was LOL over your description of your drawings for Pictionary. Glad you squeaked by to win! Hope you and your mom have a good visit. Maybe Cait can get some of her questions answered while your mom is there.

Jayne, so good to see you popping in here to visit with us. So sorry about your back injury. Good that you are taking it nice and slow working in the garden. What part of Texas are you in?? I lived in Corpus Christi for awhile so know how hot and humid that part of Texas can be.

Karen/Kythe, sorry you can't do the PT moves yet. Don't think I could do them either! So glad that the masking class is going well. Wow... nice that you got some brushes with the class that work well. Can't wait to see what you create.

Trudy, hope the rounds will work for your paintings. It is so much easier if you can see and touch them to make sure they will do. Enjoying seeing your work.

Rae, hope you and Jen had a good night watching some good movies.

Off to get my shower now that the house has warmed up enough. CYL

Hello dears,
It was sunny but cool today. Shopping at the morning  :eyebrows:, and at afternoon we went to the graveyard, as this is one of these days when we mention the memory of our lost beloveds. On a cloudy sky and sun comes down, the contrast between this sad white and gray place and the fields outside with young green grass and still naked trees, was so dramatic and beautiful... I'm a little bit blue now.

Jean,

I'm in love with your big basket with huge pine cone and gourd! It makes me association for something tradition for my culture, I don't know the english word, but here is photo, it's iron and decorated with geranium. Used in celebration on special days. Hope you was able to see interesting birds during migration!

Chris, your family play time is always so fun! Have a lovely girls time today! I love my babies, but there's so much fur to clean, as usual I'm using brushes and brooms, and vacuum cleaning only once at month, because this scares my foster cats a lot. Add to this fact that this week I was more concentrated to the spayed cat care, and wasn't cleaned with the usual strict throughout the week :doh:.

Rae, hope you had cosy and happy movie night!

Kythe, I love your enthusiasm in trying new things!

Jayne, I adore that you have seven cats too. Is they all yours or you fostering them? Tea afternoon after dust therapy sounds excellent idea to me!

good day - well I have been busy these past two days. Yesterday was fantastic day in hockey. Alex Ovechkin scored his 700 goal against my Devils but my team got the last laugh as they won the game 3-2. It was a day game so got to come home and watch more hockey. Then in Toronto/Canes game the back up goalie (if the two regular starters for the team get hurt) came in and he was 42. He gave up two quick goals and I think everyone was thinking it would be a blow out for the Maple Leafs but instead The Hurricanes played flawless and the Maple Leafs forgot how to play hockey and the back Up Dave Ayers won the game. He is a die hard Leafs fan too! The Leaf fans were not too happy with a team that lost to this back up. What I like is the name for the back up is EBUG for Emergency back up goalie. How fun is that to be an EBUG! The Canes were really supportive. Then this morning got up and we talked about where to walk Luther and decided to take a drive about 30 min south to Cheesecake State Park. It was so fun! It is in the woods on a wide path but still for me it was still watch where I am walking and I wore boots but it was perfect. The temps were in the upper 40s so not even that cold. Felt so good to be out in nature. A few birds but nothing stood out. Now today is just more hockey and tonight is episode 2 of new Outlander season 5. So excited. My team is now on the road until March 7 and they are out west so it will be late nights. Got more done on my knitting squares. Talked to my son and he said he finally hooked up the Echo his brother gave them for Christmas. He is using it to get recipes from the Food Network app. It has a screen and you can tell it to play the video and repeats steps. He loves it. Glad for him except I said he had better make sure he has lots of passwords!

Chris my DH and I play the Ellen game Heads Up during intermissions at the Rock. Games are such fun! I would be terrible at drawing. My son is playing this app game Peak and it was so frustrating to him as there are lots of games involving colors and spelling. So with his dyslexia and color blindness he decided to send them an email. It was awesome they sent him back to settings to use to make the games fairer for him. Love that. Have fun with your Mom today. What a great idea to get stories from her - they need to be saved. Enjoy the weather and the sun!

Trudy hope you got your errands done and could continue painting! Enjoy the time with your MG and have a great anniversary dinner. It should be some place fancy!

Rae I too want to know what movies? Bet it was fun.

Kay sorry about the rain. The damp weather always makes me colder! Stay warm! I never think 72 is warm enough!

Felis I love the flowers. Sorry the day was so sad. But I am sure the cats are happy for a clean house.

Kathe I took a brush class and it helped me so much. I love using them now! Have fun!

Jean hope the birding went went. I know that I am not finding too many young people that are in to birding and I find that sad. My DIL gave me a Cornell class on identifying shore birds. Well it is fantastic. I have watched just two of the online classes. I went back and look at some of my old photos and OMgosh now I can see what the instructor was saying. Cant wait to watch more and maybe when I go birding I might actually be able to identify the peeps. Congrats on the new art work! There were spring training games on the radio yesterday.

Waving to all! Have a great day!
