in 29 Days!

Happy Weekend!!
I think I spent most of my day yesterday watching tutorials on how to use the Fluent Pet buttons. Hours of that. But I think I have a better idea of what to do. God knows I don't want to make a mistake and traumatize my pups. LOL
We are going to start with the word Play and then add All Done. That way we can also talk to them using the buttons. We press Play, then we play with them. When we are done, we press All Done. That will model for them what the buttons do. Then we wait and hope that they interact with the buttons. When they do - we play/reward them. That's the plan at least. :D
We switched from Toy to Play because apparently research shows that actions are a good word to start with The dog that had 30 buttons, now has 76 words! Her name is Bunny The Talking Dog.
(see, I spent way too much time watching youtube yesterday *G*)

Off to the FP this morning. I didn't go last time, it was like 6* outside that day so this week I am in need of just about everything. (not really but even a bag of flour and maybe they will have milk and eggs...all of that helps)
Since I was glued to dog button info shows all day, I didn't do anything for here so now I feel doubly behind. That is what my plans are today.

Have a fantastic day!

@LSlycord That is so exciting to see your play in London!! and you can use My Fair Lady with M or T-Theater for your ABC album. Did you add that to your paper chain yet? You have so many wonderful things ahead!
Congrats to Sydney on the acceptance to FSU! Next Friday is for the school she prefers? *fingers crossed*
When I was in HS, my friend and I joined the French Club just so we could go on the field trip into NYC at Christmas. *G* My parents don't like the City either so it was the first time I was there to see the tree and all of the 5th Avenue windows. Iconic is such a good word.

@BrightEyes Yippee to all of the melted away snow! Those two days we had in the 50s melted all of the ice on my lawn. I am going to have to go and scoop the other side I couldn't get to on Thursday. I hope that whatever they are forecasting for next week fizzles out.
How strange but neat that your computer music playlist popped up. Lots of good tunes and memories.
I never made it inside WTC but I can only imagine how awesome the view must have been.

@taxed4ever woah -- Mother Nature needs to chill a bit by you. No need for snow. No way! Your weekend with the ILs sounds busy, but NO WAY will I take that bet about your FIL already trimming the hedges. Nuh-uh.
Is the pool open for lane swimming again?
I bet the kids are having a blast playing together, how long are they staying? I wonder if having Poochie around will make your DS (more likely Sadie and Isaac) want to get another dog?

@Cherylndesigns Thank you so much for the GSO/Fingerpointing!!! :)

@tanteva I hope that you were able to end your Friday with some TV, Urban, and yarn.

@scrap-genie Congrats on finishing your Puzzle Up! That would have annoyed me to no end to only have one question left. But you did it!
Good luck and have a great time with your presentation today

hugs!

Good morning! Just a really quick in and out this morning. Had a good day yesterday. Went with a friend for a cup of coffee and to chat in the afternoon. When I got home, I had 3 boxes of Pampered Chef stuff to unbox, wash and put away. It's a good thing we have a big kitchen! Then I did sous vide cooking for the first time. Absolutely fell in love with it! The steaks really were melt accurately described as melt in your mouth. Then sat with the kids and watched the first half of Sound of Music before pausing it and going to bed.

Computer equipment didn't arrive. UPS has confirmed that it will be Monday instead and my start date was moved back to Wednesday. I'll be back later today for personals and to catch up in the gallery...didn't get my comments in yesterday.

Morning everyone and Happy Saturday to you all! Hmmm seems like everyone had the same type of day as I did. I did not get anything accomplished here and still need to finish the layout I started  . I ended running to Staples and getting some laminating pouches and some page protectors, so that I could organize all of my Lavinia Stamps goodies into a binder for easier access and that way I don't have to forage through all of them to find the one that I want. Well that took me just about the whole day! I still am not done and hope to finish off that job this morning. Not too much to do this Saturday, DH and I need to run a couple of errands, but nothing major and so I should be able to sit back down at the computer and finish my page. I will get a batch of soup made to take up to the In-Laws tomorrow, but that is done in the instant pot and takes no time at all. It is a long weekend for us here (Family Day), so my DH will have three days off and then work for three days and have Friday off again. The woman that he works with is retiring soon and they both have some holiday time to use up so they are switching off every other Friday until the end of March. Still no expectations as to when my DH will retire, but thats ok, he loves to work and it makes him happy. Have not heard from Heather or the rest of the family so they must be having lots of fun and keeping busy! I am going to txt her today to tell her to try and get a group photo with them all in it together. That should be interesting LOL.

@faerywings - Yup you can spend countless hours watching You Tube videos!! I know, I do it all the time LOL. Its an easy way to learn things that you would never have thought you could do!! Hope you get everything that you need at the FP today! I stocked up on 4 dozen eggs the other day when I went to Hope Farm and darn it the price of eggs have gone up another dollar grrrr!! But they are such good eggs so its worth it to me anyway. Hope your fur babies have fun with the buttons!! You soon will have talking dogs at your place LOL, now I have this picture in my head of your dogs talking and waving their paws all over the place while doing so LOL

@LSlycord - Lucky you to have the pampered chef boxes to unpack and the sous vide cooking, well I had to look it up. It sounds very interesting and I bet your steak was amazing!! I was also bad and did not get any commenting done yesterday either! I am like a dog on a walk through my day who keeps seeing squirrels and run off in different directions LOL. Hopefully today will be better, but I doubt it!! Sorry your computer still has not arrived, are you sure its not coming from Canada Post?? We wait forever for anything from them ;).

Ok its time to get some brunch going for DH and myself then out the door to run our errands, have a great Saturday everyone!

Good morning ladies. Finally home now and don't have to leave again until moving day. That 4 hr drive back and forth was so exhausting. We found a lovely home, move in ready, nothing to update or change, it is 12 yrs old and already been updated for us. Its a big house so plenty of room for us and Jen/Bella. It was a stressful process to find a home but we did it. Now we pack and get ready to move at the end of March.

Darrell is busy listing and selling off things we don't want to take with us. I'm busy emptying out cabinets and storage to sort thru. Every day we'll have to sort, purge and pack so that will be like a job for me but once we move I will be able to decorate my new home and then start to enjoy retirement life.

I miss scrapping so am happy that I'll be able to fit in some "me" time in between everything else.

I'm not well. Again. I'm getting tired of this. Today I fell asleep while watching TV. That like NEVER happens. Was meant to make tofu for dinner today - woke up from hearing Urban heating yesterday's leftovers in the microwave. Guess we'll have tofu tomorrow.

Also, have a couple of kits downloaded that I was meaning to scrap with today. Nope. Feels like I've been sitting in my sofa for 48 hrs or something.

Can I please feel well tomorrow???!

Good afternoon.

I just got home - Ava and I went out and ran around today and ended up downtown at the cutest little eatery - We each got a Monte Christo sandwich - so good. We did a little exploring and found the most beautiful murals on the sides of a couple of buildings. Of course, we took lots of pictures. Always a fun time with my girl. Adrienne's gone - she's in (choke choke) Florida with Roger. She just went from Friday to Monday, but (choke choke) I'm so jealous. It's beautiful here - SO sunny but only about 59 today. I guess that's not bad, but she's on the beach right now. I SHOULD have broken down and gone with her, but then I'd have had to get clear over to Ft. Myers to see Steph and Asher. Not really enough time to do all that. The kids are out of school, so Braden and Alyssa both went to see their dad. He's in Boca, too. They're all coming home Monday - left yesterday.

Chris @faerywings I couldn't wait for you to see the GSO blog! I just fell in love with your page, obviously. I knew my day to post was coming up and I was praying that nobody else beat me to it. It was just 2 more days, but that's my luck. Haha

Rae, such wonderful news that you found a house! Yes, try to get rid of stuff - before our last move to FL, we had a huge sale for many different weekends and dumped so much of our stuff - stuff we hadn't used for years. Of course, we re-accumulated pretty fast over the next few years, but it does lighten the load. Good luck in your transition and what a wonderful way to keep your minds busy and you really don't have a lot of downtime. Sending you lots and lots of good moving vibes.

Kay @BrightEyes yay for your snow being gone. They're telling us another cold front is on the way here, it's 60 today, but has been pretty cold, especially at night.

I'm going to get off here and try to get some scrapping done. Have a great weekend everybody. Hugs to all.

28 Days Until Spring!!!

That is only 4 weeks!! *happy dancing*

Sure as heck doesn't feel like spring is any closer though. It is 14* and super windy still. We had some snow squalls yesterday where I could barely see the trees in the backyard from my window, the snow was so thick. The sun is out and the sky is very blue so that at least looks pretty.

It was brutal at the FP- we sign in and wait outside while they fill our request. Good thing that Cait loves me cuz I was hugging her out there. Partly because I love her and partly because I needed some warmth. LOL They didn't have any eggs. cheese, or milk but they had pork chops, chicken nuggets, and *drum roll* chocolate donuts! The family was really happy with the donuts. Entenmanns must donate their stuff as it gets close to the expiration date and then the FP freezes it. I always say, it is the little things that keep me going and I looked forward to the donut for my snack all day. :D
My ILs came up to visit and brought lunch. We all had leftovers so I didn't have to cook dinner either. It was a good day for food :D

Gary and I started to work with the dogs with Play. Get this-- Gary said that after I went to bed last night, J started to press the button on her own to get him to play with her. How cool is that!!??!! He said that after I am in bed, she comes out and runs around to get him to play with her. This time she went to the button and pressed it so he would play with her. She would press it again and they'd play. I am so excited! I will work on that today too with them both.

I finally finished a LO for a March challenge that I had started a few days ago. I am making a nice vegan dinner (broccoli rabe pasta and copycat Olive Garden breadsticks) since Cait and Tom will be here. Scott is back at Weis today starting regular work hours and I am so happy for him. Things are starting to look up a bit. Can you tell in my writing? :D

Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

I thought that the happy bunny image was my favorite- will it surprise *any* of you that this doggo is my favorite instead?

@LSlycord I used to love Pampered Chef parties. I had so many of them when I was first married and stocked my kitchen that way. I still have many of the items 28 years later. What did you get??
Good luck getting the computer and setting it up tomorrow. IMHO- it will be better starting work on Wed, makes it a short week to get back into the routine of it.

@taxed4ever It does seem that way- we all kinds plodded through the day on Friday. But you actually got a lot more done than you think- organizing all of your stamps is a big undertaking. Have a great time with the ILs today.
Hahaha!! I have that image in my head now too-the dogs waving their paws around while they talk. Too bad that W is British and J -- she doesn't seem Italian to me. Although she is stubborn enough. ROTFLMAO!

@bcgal00 I am sooooooooo HAPPY for you! --And relieved. The housing market is brutal everywhere. I saw the photo on FB and it looks perfect!

@tanteva Do you think you should see a Dr yet? It has been a long time since you have not felt well. *trying to not worry*

@Cherylndesigns How fun for you and Ava to have a Girls Day. I don't; even want to think about being in sunny FL.*cries* It took all of my strength to be polite and ask my ILs how my BIL/SIL enjoyed their trip to Aruba. ;)
Hopefully, you will be able to go when the kids are out of school and you have more time to visit everyone.
You are good at keeping secrets- didn't let it slip at all that you were giving me a GSO :D

xoxo

Good (barely) good morning!

Chris @faerywings I'm a vault - my kids and grandkids all call me that. I could NOT wait to give you that GSO!! I absolutely TRY MY BEST not to "play favorites" and I honestly look at the layout first, then at who created it. You, on the other hand, had my heart for my next post, which I was preparing the day after I saw your layout. It's pretty time-consuming to go through all of the galleries and get the posts ready, so I start looking a couple of days prior to my post day. Only problem is, we can't give a GSO to anybody who's had one for the previous 7 days, so it's last-minute final check. LOL I've been burned before. I gave one to somebody a couple of weeks ago and she'd never had one and was SO excited! I love that - makes the work worthwhile.

It's 60 right now and going up to 68. In the 70's in a day or so then dips back down. I'll be glad when the dips are done. So, it's really cold in NJ??? I'll bet it took everything you had to ask about Aruba. It's been so mild here all winter but of course the weekend Adrienne and the kids left, it was bitter cold. I REALLY had some envy.

Sorry you had to wait so long in the bitter cold - you're way braver than me! But at least you got donuts! Your countdown picture is so cute too. Thanks for the smile. Yesterday's weather was really nice! Ava just had on a sweater and I wore my jean jacket. We were very comfortable walking around town. Here's a couple of pictures from yesterday - there were the most beautiful murals that were new since we went into town. SO cool!

A quick hello this morning. The new owners are coming in this morning to do measurements so I'll head out with the dogs so they can measure without the dogs being underfoot. We're still tired after everything that has happened this past month, now that the stress is gone, I think the adrenaline that kept us going has dissipated and we're exhausted. So much to do til moving day but we'll get it all done and in less than 6 wks we'll be in our new home.

I'll come back later this afternoon to check personals.

Chris @faerywings love the countdown images, but today's isn't about the dog, it's the butterflies! ;) In any event, it's great (had to share it with DH).
Yesterday the computer genealogy meeting went well (I think) so that is all good. Today I'm trying to spruce up a talk I'm giving (via Zoom) tomorrow evening. This group has had the talk before and while it has improved since, it's pretty close to the same. Here it is sunny with bright blue sky, but windy and chilly. After the warmup we had the rain freeze and a little snow on top so everything is white again.

Cheryl @Cherylndesigns love those photos and sure envy the weather (but know OK weather too well to want it other parts of the year). What a nice time you and Ava had.

Rae @bcgal00 congrats on the new house! Sounds like you have the process of getting ready well in hand.

Eva @tanteva have to echo Chris' question about seeking medical attention since you're not feeling better. Lots of gentle hugs and hoping you do get over this soon.

Trudy @taxed4ever hope FiL didn't try to do the trimming beforehand and that it's a good day with the family. Hope you get back in the pool soon as that was always a satisfying thing for you. Love the waterfall photos from the hike.

Linda @LSlycord it may be nicer to start on Wed. for a short first week. You've been off long enough to need a little time to adjust back to work time. Fingers crossed for Syd's admission.

Felis @felis hope you had a good weekend. Does your family still shop in the city on Sunday? If so, did you go along?

Happy Sunday to all.

Jean, I'm happy to hear that you have fun with the online genealogy meetings! Any chances this year to make the one that you was planed to travel for, but then it was canceled?
Felis @felis hope you had a good weekend. Does your family still shop in the city on Sunday? If so, did you go along?

Happy Sunday to all.
Nope, that was cute little habit, that ended when my sister moved to Germany last year. Now daddy is shopping alone with a list we make.
The spring fatigue is start to catch me, so I spend the weekend managing my cats to not use the garden beds which the others prepared for the spring bloom.

Which reminds me. @faerywings and @LSlycord Here is Tiny with the sweater I crocheted for her at January:
