Good morning, O-zies!
I did keep this tab open, but I ended up having a busier day than I expected. While I was with BFF, Gary called to let me know his parents were coming by to bring drawer pulls for the vanity. I got home around 2, grabbed a quick lunch, then they were here until dinner time. I have a little time now before I need to tidy my kitchen. My parents are coming up with bagels and they want to talk to me about their car. They are in the market for a new car, so they want to give me one of theirs. They both have CRVs and I have driven my mom's several times, but they want me to take my dad's out for a spin to see if I have a preference. I like the color of my mom's much better (her's is like a sea glass green/blue and my dad's is maroon) but beggers can't be choosers. They are leaning towards giving me my dad's since it has blue tooth already so I wouldn't have to get a new set up for that.
My car is making more weird noises and the tires/brakes/alignment still don't feel right. My dad's car has way more miles than mine but hasn't had any issues. Scott's CRV, a 1999- 188.00K miles is still running strong. In fact, I said to him that if he wanted the hand me down, he was welcome to it since he drives more than I do, but he loves his car.
I had a great time catching up with BFF, her kids are doing so well and that makes me thrilled! My niece is a pledge in a sorority- her first choice and already loves it so much, BF was a Founding Sister at her sorority and is also really happy that she is enjoying Greek Life. My nephew is starting an internship with a candidate for NJ Governor and was in training all day for that yesterday. he wants to be a Poli Sci/Communications major when he is off to school and this will be an amazing experience for him.
The only bad news that she shared was about her father. He was the one who had fallen a few weeks ago. He is in a rehab but it will take him a long time to get out. I worry that he might not even be "mobile" again. As of right now, he is basically bedridden. His arm is in a full heavy cast from his bicep to hand. He has a full knee brace and can only sit in a wheelchair for very short periods of time. He is almost completely blind and deaf. I can't even imagine how horrible this is for him. I told BFF that the next time she goes to visit him, I will meet her there, maybe just a different voice might be a change for him. Not to mention they were like my second set of parents growing up.
So that was my day yesterday and the one up today, the good, the bad and the sad.
Hope you all have days with only good in it!
