Good morning and a very happy weekend to all of you!

I have to make this quick since I am running late, for a very important date. I am getting to meet up with BFF today for coffee and since it is sunny and warm (60* later on!) the weather won't stop me.

I can't wait to catch up with her. So much stuff going on with her and the kids.

I will keep this tab open so I won't forget to come back and check in with everyone.

Morning everyone!! Happy to say that I will be seeing Isaac and Sadie and their mommy tonight!! Jackie is bringing the kids up to visit with her Grandma and then they are heading over to our place to spend the night and tomorrow with us!! Hooray!!! It will be a short visit, but I will take all the grand kid time I can!

Chris - How fun to spend the morning with your BFF!! Have a wonderful time and catch up on all the latest with her!! Sounds like it will be an awesome warm day for you also! Enjoy!!

Nancy - I hope you had a great night last night and that you will have an awesome weekend too! Thanks for the nice comment on my painting that I did (Facebook) My next painting project will be something to hang in my on-suite bathroom. I am thinking something with peach colours. Enjoy the day!

I will sign off here and go and get some breakfast, then hopefully spend some more time here later on. I have been very neglectful of the gallery lately  See you all later on!

good morning I was out with my DH and Luther. My DH called and said there were strange ducks on the river so I jumped in the car with my camera and sure enough there were hooded mergansers, a male and a female. How cool. They are not usually on our little river but good eyes for my DH to recognize something different and call. Luther was so funny though he just came back when I was going to go home he found the car and said take me with you. LOL. Today is just laid back and all day hockey as it is Hockey Day in Canada and they have all these great stories and it is so fun. Scattered in-between are hockey games. I have a Devils game tonight at the Rock against the Islanders. The Islanders have been playing so well so I hope my team comes to play!

Chris have a great time with you BFF. The weather is awesome! The sun is out and I bet you are happy!

Trudy I always enjoy seeing the art of others especially since I cannot draw a straight line LOL. Have a great time with the grand kids.

Rae I hope you are doing well with the new family dynamics. A cat and Taz that should be interesting. Our cat is an upstairs cat and Luther is the downstairs dog. They do not like each other at all.

Sharon enjoy Mardi Gras week!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. My daughter has been moving some stuff here and some over to storage. Taz loves having her here and is very excited to have a cat here. So far, Noel has stayed in the bedroom but I put a baby gate up yesterday so he could look out and he finally came out for awhile, going through all the rooms, checking everything. We kept Taz on a leash b/c he would have went racing over to Noel, wanting to chase and play. Noel has not been receptive to Taz's attempts and probably won't. He's an older cat and I don't think he's going to want to be friends with a dog at this stage of his life.

I've got work today and tomorrow to catch up on and hope to fit in a bit of scrapping time and check out the gallery later. I'm doing well on my keto diet. I'm down 7 lbs this week and the best part is my cravings/hunger have not returned over these 7 days. I've had no cravings for sweets/sugary carbs at all. Today I'm making a casserole with bacon, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, onion and cauliflower. I'll have this for lunch throughout the week. Today, I'm going to bake zucchini strips with eggs/spice coating and parmesan cheese sprinkled over. I'll have that with dinner while the others have potatoes.

Chris - sounds like a wonderful way to spend your morning. Enjoy hanging out with your BFF.

Trudy - your painting is gorgeous. Enjoy visiting with the kids. Sounds like a fun wkend.

Nancy - I'm like you, I would have grabbed my camera and raced over there too. Did you get good pics of them? Enjoy your sports days today.

I'm going to get some work done and then get Taz over to the park this afternoon if it doesn't rain. Hopefully I'll be able to scrap later in the afternoon or evening. Things have been so busy here these last few days and I haven't slept much so hope tonight is quiet.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Today we went to a crawfish boil at my DD's house and DH's family came as well as DSinL's Uncle and Aunt. I don't see them much and so enjoyed the visit. We were they for 6 hours! It was a blast! When we got home we let the dogs out and I was leaning over petting my girl on the concrete patio and my 88 lb boy came and barrelled into me. (he is huge!) he knocked me over, I skinned my elbow and landed on my butt. It knocked the wind out of me as he gets a running start and he is a muscular dog. Wow talk about pain...ugh. It hurts to walk and sit on it!!! lol I didn't see him coming. Otherwise, I brace myself! So much for this weekend. At my age, this will take days to recover from!!!!

Good morning, O-zies!
I did keep this tab open, but I ended up having a busier day than I expected. While I was with BFF, Gary called to let me know his parents were coming by to bring drawer pulls for the vanity. I got home around 2, grabbed a quick lunch, then they were here until dinner time. I have a little time now before I need to tidy my kitchen. My parents are coming up with bagels and they want to talk to me about their car. They are in the market for a new car, so they want to give me one of theirs. They both have CRVs and I have driven my mom's several times, but they want me to take my dad's out for a spin to see if I have a preference. I like the color of my mom's much better (her's is like a sea glass green/blue and my dad's is maroon) but beggers can't be choosers. They are leaning towards giving me my dad's since it has blue tooth already so I wouldn't have to get a new set up for that.
My car is making more weird noises and the tires/brakes/alignment still don't feel right. My dad's car has way more miles than mine but hasn't had any issues. Scott's CRV, a 1999- 188.00K miles is still running strong. In fact, I said to him that if he wanted the hand me down, he was welcome to it since he drives more than I do, but he loves his car.

I had a great time catching up with BFF, her kids are doing so well and that makes me thrilled! My niece is a pledge in a sorority- her first choice and already loves it so much, BF was a Founding Sister at her sorority and is also really happy that she is enjoying Greek Life. My nephew is starting an internship with a candidate for NJ Governor and was in training all day for that yesterday. he wants to be a Poli Sci/Communications major when he is off to school and this will be an amazing experience for him.

The only bad news that she shared was about her father. He was the one who had fallen a few weeks ago. He is in a rehab but it will take him a long time to get out. I worry that he might not even be "mobile" again. As of right now, he is basically bedridden. His arm is in a full heavy cast from his bicep to hand. He has a full knee brace and can only sit in a wheelchair for very short periods of time. He is almost completely blind and deaf. I can't even imagine how horrible this is for him. I told BFF that the next time she goes to visit him, I will meet her there, maybe just a different voice might be a change for him. Not to mention they were like my second set of parents growing up. :(

So that was my day yesterday and the one up today, the good, the bad and the sad.

Hope you all have days with only good in it!

Friday:

Nancy- you had a busy day but you must have felt so accomplished at the end. And Luther must have been pooped out after his day too. Oh no, your son really must fee like a bad luck charm. He needs to keep going back until they win to break that curse. :)
We are starting to see a bit of grass, it started melting over the septic tank but now it is spreading and will see much more of the grass today.
My kids have school tomorrow but they already don't have classes on Fridays so they have built in 3 day weekends. Do your guys have any plans?

Trudy- I saw your painting on FB-- you are soooo talented, lady!!!!
So sweet to see the video of the Birthday Cake- I know that you are there in spirit but it isn't the same, is it?

Rae- you are such a good and caring mom, I hope that Taz and Noel get used to each other quickly.

Sharon- oh man, how much fun this week will be! Many years ago, we moved up here and my one BFF lived down the street (it was a big reason we moved here). She and her DH and her sister and her DH had lived in LA - they were intheMarines together and the sister's DH grew up there. They used to have huge Mardi Gras parties and crayfish boils up here and they were so much fun. Jambalaya and etouffee. You brought back some really good memories to me :)

Saturday:

Trudy- yay for grandkids visiting!!! Did you all have a lot of fun? Of course, you did!!

I have been neglectful in the Gallery too. :( It is on my to-do list for today.

Nancy- I never heard of that kind of duck, are they uncommon?
How funny that Luther wanted to go for a ride. Jaida does that too. Hope you enjoyed Hockey Day and that the Devils played well last night.
You sounds like me, I joke that IO can't draw a stick figure
Gary has the musical and artistic talents that he passed to the kids. Not me.

Rae- you are really doing well on your diet, that is wonderful It sounds like your energy levels are so much higher too.
Hope that DD is feeling more settled in.

Sharon- Jaida did that to me the other day. She is 65 lbs of pit bull muscle. She wanted to play and she ran up behind me and head-butted me in my butt! Knocked me off balance for sure. How you aren't in too much pain today. The crayfish boil must have been so much fun and lots of laughter!

Hugs to you all! xoxo

Good morning, ladies. I'm going to be working most of the day but hope to fit in a little scrappy time later. We are trying to get the cat and dog used to each other. So far no fights but the cat has little use for Taz and hisses at him if he gets close. Taz tries everything he can to get the cat to play LOL. My daughter got all her stuff moved and is settled into her room here so hopefully she'll feel more peace in the coming weeks.

Beckam is coming tomorrow for 5 days so we'll have a full house here. I should take pics of all of them :)

With all that is going on around here, I never watched TWD so will watch that tonight and then watch the new episode. I don't like to fall behind on that show b/c I always end of hearing someone talk about it so like to keep up.

Chris - so nice that you finally got to hang out with your BFF. So sad to hear her dad is recovering so slowly, the poor fellow.

Sharon - I can relate, I have many stories of my chow and later, my retriever, both big dogs, causing injury by barreling into me. Hope you don't feel sore for long.

I'm off to get to work for a few hours and then take Taz over to the pet store later for food. It's raining so no dog park today for us. Maybe just a walk along the river, later.

Have a wonderful day everyone.
