Yup, it is almost 9 am and I am still sipping my coffee. I was exhausted yesterday and was able to sleep until 7 am. That is pretty darn late for me. And not a bad deal since Whisky was practically pushing me off the bed. Dogs aka Bed Hogs. ;)

I didn't get much done at all yesterday. I shredded and sorted some papers. Only halfway through the top drawer of the one filing cabinet so that is what I am still going to be working on today. I worked a bit more on a page for Christopher's book/Feb Challenge but then my computer locked up and by the time I got it rebooted I needed to cook dinner.
The best part of the day was giving the rats the chicken bones. It is hysterical watching them run off with it and try to drag it through the little windows of their houses. They hide them, and then another girl drags it to a different part of the cage. The babies are very polite nibbling on them and then one of the BGs (usually Tat) steals it from them. The LOs won't chase after it, just go about washing their faces. Tat can be a bit of a food bully. LOL

I have no plans this weekend other than staying warm. It is so cold out there but still no snow! The sun is out today so at least there is that. whew!

Hope you all have a relaxing and/or exciting weekend ahead. Love to you!

Felis- I am sorry that you felt lonely yesterday. I have my fingers crossed that your prediction comes true!
Sending good vibes to your kitties today that the spays go well. Do they stay overnight at the vet or can you bring them home today? I checked in with Cait to see how she was doing not having a Valentine for the first time in years. She was more concerned about Brendan's PTSD. I am not sure if anyone remembers but 4, maybe 5 years ago he was hanging out with friends on V-Day and there was an accident with two cars and two of the kids died on the scene. He never properly processed it and as part of his work on trying to make himself a better person, is trying to deal with it now. Even though I am not thrilled with them being close friends still, I am proud of her and of him as people trying to be better. If that makes sense?
Good luck trying to find photo/scrapping mojo.

Nancy- You had decent weather to walk in on Wed-- good thing you didn't have to do that yesterday or today. Brr! Fabulous news that your knees did so well. That has to make all of the pain and hard work post-surgeries worthwhile.
You have to share a pic of the new hairstyle.
That is really cool that you had dinner with the Pres of the Devils. Good question too. My cell phone camera is much better than my DSLR, aside from not having a zoom lens.
thanks for letting me know about the walk from the train station. I will let my parents know :)
That is how it has been in NJ for teachers strikes for at least the last 25 years or so. I remember being in 2nd grade (1978 maybe?) and the teachers strike and not having to go to school which we thought was awesome.

Kay- wow, you did a lot of running the other day and lots of success! You got so much done. How sweet to come home to flowers from your DD. You have amazing kids and grands- and Greatgrands :)
That is a bummer that the foot is hurting, I hope that is is much better today so you can enjoy your brunch.

Trudy- Awwww, your Gary is so sweet to get you flowers. My Gary brought me coffee and that was pretty darn sweet too. ha!!! But seriously, that is heartwarming what he said about not telling you enough how he feels. Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of the Parkland shooting and there were a lot of people saying on social media how you just never know and to always tell people that you love them.
I am not the biggest sitcom fan but my two faves are 30 Rock (Tina Fey) and Parks and Rec. My aspiration is one day to be a blend of Liz Lemon and Leslie Knope.

Rae- how was your night in? It sounds like a good V-Day to me. What did you end up watching? The appt with the acct must have been reassuring that you are on the right track.
I am sorry that you are in the same winter blah mode between are halfway through it. Have a wonderful time at the baby shower today!!! So exciting!

xoxo!

Good morning ladies. I'll be running errands and wrapping gifts before heading out to the shower later this morning. It's a long drive (over an hour) and I'll leave early, then find a starbucks and relax with a coffee and my book until its time to be there.

We watched Joker. It was a sad intense movie but glad I saw it, it was phenomenal acting but like I said, so hard to watch. We laughed about my choice of a V-Day movie, D thought I'd pick something fun and uplifting. But he agreed it was a good movie. We had to watch a comedy after that though to lighten the mood, just some PVR stuff.

My car wouldn't start yesterday, D checked it when he got home, I'd forgotten to turn off headlights (mine aren't automatic like on his van). So its been charging overnight on a slow charge he set up last night. Should be ok to drive now. I'll use it to run errands in a bit (locally) and if it runs ok, then it'll be safe to drive out to the shower this afternoon. I think sometime this year I am going to have to look for a new car, but darn it....just don't want a car payment. But I do need a dependable car so I'll have to start looking soon.

Chris - that's so cute about the rats and chicken bones. Stay inside and keep warm, sounds like a good plan today.

I'd better hop in the shower and get going. Have a great day everyone.

Morning O-zies! It is cloudy and misty here this morning, our one day of sunshine is over and done with :pout: Oh well at least its not snowing!! It will be a busy Saturday as per usual. First we have to watch our Bruins play this morning, they play Detroit the worst team in the league yet they never seem to be able to play very well against them :mmph: it must be some kind of curse or something LOL. Hopefully they will play much better this morning! I might do my grocery shopping on-line while we watch the game that way I won't have to spend all that time in the grocery store, we have many other places to go to today. I need some more wood for the canvas that I am doing for my new commission and I should get to the store downtown for some paints too. DH finally found some new rollers for the pocket door in our bathroom, so hopefully he will be working on that this long weekend. I hope to get another diptych done today too, I am in the mood to paint these days. We got a lot of pics from my brother and SIL who are in New Zealand and on the last leg of there trip, it sure looks beautiful there!! I hope that one day I will get to travel half as much as they do!!

Chris - I am happy for you that the sun is shining in your neck of the woods! Sure hope the temps warm up for you too!! The rats seem to keep you all entertained and amused!! Love that your Gary brings you coffee! Try to keep warm today! Oh I sent a parcel out to Heather and it arrived the other day, it is her birthday tomorrow and one of the gifts that I sent her was a beautiful warm throw to keep her cozy!! I did not wrap it, so that she could start to enjoy it right away, she loves it and sent me a photo of herself all wrapped up in it!! She said she is so happy to have her own blanket, one that doesn't have Minions or Paw Patrol all over it LOL!! I sent her a few other things too, but she is not allowed to open those until tomorrow.

Rae - Sure hope that the car is running well for you today! Have fun at your shower and hope that there is no demonstrators blocking the roads that you need to be on! The demonstrators are really getting out of control. Not sure how you feel about it all but I think there must be another way of showing their support for their cause! We have not seen the Joker yet and I am not sure I want to. I am not a big fan of depressing movies, but I have heard that it is very well done! Enjoy your day!

Ok best get some breakfast on the go before the game starts. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

good morning - whew I must have been tired as I did not get up until 9am. My son bought my DH and I dinner last night for Valentines. It was yummy gyros. I finished Grace and Frankie and now started Jack Ryan. It draws you in and because they don't speak English I have to read subtitles. My Devils lost last night. Not totally surprising as the other team the Hurricanes are better. Now they don't play until Sunday. It is below freezing so I did not go out with my DH to walk Luther. I feel bad but darn it is cold but at least there is sun! It should warm up some tomorrow so that is good. Not much else going on.

Chris congrats on the later sleep. Guess the dogs don't want out either in this cold though Luther seems to like the cold. Cute about the rats and their bones. How sweet that your Gary brought your coffee knowing it is what you need!

Trudy your day sounds lovely and your MG is a keeper! Hope he does not run you too much this weekend LOL.

Kay OMgosh how sweet of your daughter to drop off those flowers. You were busy and glad you got so much accomplished.

Rae hope you don't get too much rain. Have fun at the shower.

Felis now that Valentines is over hope your rise! Have fun with the pets and family!

Have a great day all.

Good morning and a happy Sunday to you all. Cloudy and cold here in NJ. (at least it isn't snowing... Yup. I got this!)
I was alllll over the place yesterday but I think the day was a good one overall. I was just tidying up the house when my ILs called and said that they were stopping in and were bringing subs for lunch. I hopped in the shower and finished up some laundry and vacuuming before they got here.
We had a nice visit. They brought me the TurboTax CD so I installed that. Now I have no excuse about putting that off anymore. It always puts my stomach into knots doing taxes b/c if we owe anything, I have nowhere to get that from. Can you put taxes on your credit card? Worry about that another day...
After they left, I opened up PS to finish the LO I had been working on when the computer locked up. The file was corrupted. Even though I know to save, save, save. It wouldn't open there, wasn't a thumbnail. Nothing. I had to start from scratch. I was struggling over the page to begin with and this didn't help. But I got it done.

We started watching the new Netflix series Locke and Key. Are any of you watching that? The first episode seemed interesting so hopefully, it will keep our interest.
Today I have a few CT things here that I have been procrastinating over and some stuff to get ready for the week ahead.

HAGD!!

Rae- how was the shower? Babies are such a blessing. Is the mom to be all set now?
Do you keep jumper cables in your car just in case? I need to see if I still have them in my car. I know they got moved but they *should* be still there. Thank you for reminding me to check! I hope that you didn't have any issues getting around and that the car was good to go. I don't blame you for not wanting a car payment.

Trudy- Hahaha! Yes, it isn't snowing and that means it is all good even if we don't see the sun! :D
How did the Bruins play? So smart to do online shopping. I might do that this week too if I can find a coupon for it. Enjoy painting! BTW- I was chatting with Scott about how I loved the new pieces that Leah painted and compared them to one of the first ones she did. What a difference- made me realize how difficult it can be to get it right. He tried doing a painting with her one day and said that it is not anywhere as easy as it looks. I have to admire your talent so much more, knowing that!
That sounds like a perfect gift for Heather especially with no Paw Patrol LOL-- how sweet of her to send you a picture of her wrapped in it. Tell her happy birthday!

Nancy- this weather is *draining* and I am not surprised you slept so late. Nope, I don't blame you at all not going on a walk with Luther. It bugs me when we watch tv- Gary tends to be on his phone, scrolling. When we watched Jack Ryan I couldn't understand how he was able to follow any of it. Of course, he couldn't! whatever. Heh.

I guess I should get some b-fast.

xoxo

Morning, gals... already on my 3rd cup of coffee. Been waking up between 3 and 4 AM the last few days. UGH!!! Can't seem to fall back asleep so getting up and working on the computer.

DD#1 and SonInLaw#1 took me out for brunch yesterday. It was great to get to eat out and visit with them. Had not seen SIL since they got back from his sister's funeral 2 weeks ago. He reminded me that I was way-overdue for my eye check [he is an optometrist]. He said he would set up an appt for me and let me know when. Could not believe how beautiful the weather was yesterday... got up to 59 with sunny skies. May have a couple more days like that - then stormy weather with snow possible on Tues-Wed.

I am paying big time for all my running around on Thursday ... the foot is back to aching like mad and not wanting to have any type of shoe on it. May have to go back into the boot until it settles down. Really need to look for a shoe that is comfortable to wear. <<< sigh >>>

Finally got the last of the 1099's on Saturday. Since Monday is President's Day holiday, I will fax it over to the Tax gal's office on Monday. Not sure I want to know how much I may have to pay...

Chris, I feel your pain about the same thing. Good luck on getting your taxes done. Glad you had a good visit with ILs and nice that they brought lunch. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get my laundry done, too. The hamper is over-flowing!!

Trudy, glad your package to sister arrived before her birthday. Glad she liked the warm blanket with no Paw Patrol on it! Never used online grocery shopping but know what a time-saver it can be. Saw some of your paintings on FB... wow... so beautiful.

Rae, sorry about you forgetting to turn the lights off in your car. Glad you have a charger so you could get it done over-night. Don't blame you for not wanting to have a car payment again.

Nancy, I agree that with bad weather out it is better to skip taking Luther for a walk.

Time to get dressed and get a bite to eat. Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning ladies, the sky is showing some blue patches today, so hopefully it will warm up a tad! Fresh snow on the mountain tops, so pretty! Today is our beautiful daughters 38th birthday!! I miss her so much and hope that her day is filled with love and fun with her boys! I had a good day yesterday we got all of our shopping and errands done and so today DH will make the canvas I need for my new commission painting. I did a Dutch Pour Diptych yesterday in blues and purples, the colours are so lovely and now I keep my fingers crossed that it will dry alright. I will post a photo when it is dry. Today we bottle a white wine and I will get the house cleaned and :washing: all done. Tomorrow we will head to the In-Laws to help take down the dead Maple tree and get it all cut up and wood stacked away. DH and I will be sore for sure LOL. FIL will be too, he always pushes himself way to hard to get things done. I hope to help MIL with some of the ancestry troubles too (lord give me strength!! LOL) .

Chris - I really should be doing some CT catching up also, but have been procrastinating until I got the need to paint out of my system LOL! Thanks for appreciating my art work, there are many failures along the way, but it teaches us what works and what doesn't! Leah has come a long way and her artwork is beautiful! I never thought of painting on old LP's , we don't have any anymore as we gave away all of Gary's old ones to our son. I am now trying to find someone to cut some 10 and 12 inch Birch rounds for me. I would prefer to have someone local do it, but might have to just order some from Amazon :mmph: Our Bruins came through for us yesterday and beat the Red Wings 4-1 breaking the curse. Hooray!! Today they play the New York Rangers, so Gary will be glued to the TV at noon. I hope that you have a lovely day and you get your CT work done!

Nancy - I see your Devils play tonight, good luck to them I hope they come through with a great game tonight! Oh and don't forget that Outlander starts tonight also! I am so happy to see it again! Hope the weather warms up so you and Luther can get out for a nice walk today! How wonderful that you got to sleep in so late! What a great son you have to get supper for you and your DH!!

Kay - Ouch your poor foot! So sad that it is acting up on you again! Thank you for the lovely comment on my paintings! It means so much to me to have everyone here supporting me! I love my O family!! Hope you will not have to pay the tax man, we most likely will have to also :mmph: Hence my name taxed4ever!! LOL.

Ok its time to make some breakfast for DH and get going with the bottling. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. Just popping in for a quick hello. I was relaxing this morning, reading my book "The Friend" and then got out in the garden with my camera for a bit. Now I'm doing a bit of desk work (backlog I never got finished last week) and editing baby shower photos. Had a great time yesterday and looking forward to doing a maternity session next wkend. Sure hope the weather cooperates so we can get outdoors for some of it. Wait til you see a photo of the mom-to-be. She is just beautiful, she's such a sweet girl. My grandson couldn't have picked a better partner in life. They are going to be wonderful parents.

I'd better get going. Want to do some work and editing before leaving to spend the afternoon with B.

Hope you are all enjoying the wkend.

Hi All
I have been wanting some more brushes than the ones that come with PSE. I use them for making masks.

Does anyone have a favourite set that you use all the time? I particularly like the ones that fade around the edges and are not straight edged.

The next question... Has anyone found that 2020 PSE is worth the effort? I have 2018 right now and wonder if the difference is noticeable.
Thanks

Good evening, girls!
Such a sunny and warm day today! Was a Spring like and perfect to be out and gardening, so that was what the others did. And I had a quiet house only for myself which is bless too :-D . It's SO strange that my friends at England have to deal with another storm today. Definitely I'm worried.

Chris, I got only one cat spray, and she deals very well. This one is even more naughty than a usual  . Yes they allows me to bring it home on the day, as all was went fine and no need to stay overnight alone in unfamiliar place. And the second appt is only for examination, and have to go tomorrow. On this cat they found teeth problem, but it's only on pills, so nothing serious just a check. It's kind of strange but commendable Cait to be so supportive to her ex. So sad about the car accident! Ouch, how disappointing to lose your file!

Nancy, it's great how fast your knees are recovered. Much of walk, and I can't believe your DIL left you to go alone, it's not much nice from her side! Haha, now you see what I mean when complaining that lots of the cinema movies have only subtitles and have to late to be voiced for the TV. Lately even the cinemas started to offered double version as some people prefer the original speech and go on subtitled version, but more preferred the translated.

Rae, congrats for the great grandbaby! I'm sure maternity session photos will be great and lot of fun to do it! My sister is watched the Joker and she said same about the acting, so was happy when he got the Oscar.

Kay, aw, sorry to hear that the leg is painful again! Did you had any luck with finding more comfortable shoes? How nice to go out for brunch!

Trudy, first for friday, thanks for the kind words to me and also I love your playlist, half of them are in mine too :music: ! Love the volcano painting I saw at Instagram! And most important
Happy Birthday, to your lovely Heather! Wishing to her fabulous year! :cosmo:cosmo

Kythe, my most used brushes are Vicki Robinson's and Joanne Brisebois.
