It is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am feeling much more relieved. I mean, I still have gobs of stuff to do. But you can see part of my DR table! I was very pleased with myself for that. I got my hair cut yesterday and she only took off 2 inches or so. To save time, I washed my hair right before I left, threw it onto a bun and plopped a hat on top. Worked out well because she was really busy and running late. I had to have her blow it out a bit since I was going to the store afterward but she only charged me for the cut, not the blow dry.

I went to TJ Maxx and picked up a couple of things for Gary and Scott for their stockings. Liquor store to get some wine for Monday and the scratch offs. (Got one for me too!) Keep your fingers crossed that I win a lot of $$$! when I got home I wrapped everything. All I need to do gift-wise today is finish the 2 small Faery-Wings baskets and then I can clean that stuff up.

I have to clean my house first - just downstairs, and not my BR or office. Just the LR/DR/Kitchen and main bath. And wash the wine glasses. Since my kitchen is so tiny and I have no cabinet space, Gary had built over-the-island wine glass holders. They are so convenient, but that also means the glasses get very dusty and grimy, especially when we cook with the griddle on the island. All of the wine glasses have a coating of cooking oil, dust, and flour from baking.

I have a little bit of office work to do and then maybe I can scrap. I really need a bit of downtime. Desperately!!!

Let me post this so I can get going, I want to be up and running at 8.30. Which is in 15 minutes :wait2:

xoxo

Felis- how was your day, as relaxing as you had hoped? I would try to do P365 and would be great at taking pictures regularly. For about 2 weeks. Then I would try again and all it was one more thing I had to do. I gave up on that kind of thing. The last thing I need is more stress. I like your idea of re-writing this years more simply.

FP is my shorthand for Food Pantry. I am able to go to a local food pantry two times a month to get some basic groceries. Pasta, canned veggies, coffee if I am lucky :cof1:
The two women that I typically deal with are so nice and supportive and I have very little in the way to give back, so Christmas cookies is something that I can do.
I will try very hard to keep your advice and mine in mind over the next days.

Jean- we had that weather yesterday and today we have rain. Hope your weather is better today. That must feel so good to get replies already about your newsletter. Not surprising though. :)

So far so good with the family on the crate training-- keep your fingers crossed it stays!
Thank you again for sharing my pig page. My persisted page always makes me feel strong-- I think I might wear that today. Good idea!

Rae! OMG- where did you get such good clothing karma??? Great finds for you!
I guess when you lose as much weight as you have, you need to replenish and what luck you have had doing so.
Sounds like you have everything under control. :whoo:
My fingers are crossed for a Bailey Christmas Miracle too...

Hugs to everyone who stops by!

good morning even though it is raining which I really don't like. Should be snow in Dec especially for Christmas. But next week should be very cold not above freezing. Oh well I guess it is Dec. Have to go grocery shopping so we can make stuff for Christmas at my son's. Well my hockey team defeated their cross river rival the Rangers in a SO. It was awesome! My arena is affordable as compared to Madison Square Garden home of the Rangers so my arena was about 65% Devils fans to 35% Ranger fans. When we tied the game they became pretty quiet LOL. And then when they left is was with sad faces. Tonight my team plays the Chicago Blackhawks and then they are off for the 24 and 25. Ahh no hockey. LOL. Yesterday was nice got in a good long with Luther a local park and I did my birding - red tailed hawk was awesome, great blue heron, lots of geese and flickers, hairy woodpeckers and red-bellied woodpeckers and lots of little birds hiding in the reeds. Luther had a great time as it was a Friday most people still at work. My DH and son both had the day off. I made a delicious pork chop dinner with a marinated apple sauce to put on the top of the pork, jasmine rice and bok choy. Even made a tasting pan sauce. You can tell when the boys like the dinner as there is nothing left and I mean nothing. Today other than the game I have laundry to do and then just scrap.

Chris so glad you are feeling better today. Love that you take your cookies to repay those who help. You are special. And about gifts I - I think you know in your heart that it is being with those that you love that is the spirit of Christmas.

Rae your shopping karma is second to none and to be able to get such good deals is insane (as they say). I always wonder why were they bought in the first place if they still have the price tag on. Have fun with Jen and see you when you pop in.

Felis I think you have the right idea about cleaning. And actually it is not the cleaning that bothers me. It is more that after I have put in all the energy to see my son and DH just mess it up with no regard to how much I have done makes me so angry. But at this time of the year I am just happy!

Jean I think I am getting the rain you had yesterday we are getting today. No Christmas bird count for me and bummed.

Trudy waving hi! Sharon Hi!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. It's been a busy couple of days. Last night I watched a Hallmark Xmas movie and made made rice krispie squares and a pumpkin cranberry loaf. This morning, I relaxed with book and coffee for about 1/2 hr and then got started on my day. D got the dough ready for 2 batches of his jam-jam cookies (took a few pics). I did cleanup for him and brought in the hummingbird feeder to wash out with hot water (it was frozen solid as it was only 22° out. I made fresh sugar water and wrapped the feeder cyclinder in a red towel to help keep it a bit warmer for the day. This cold weather is expected to last the next week or more so I'll have to thaw it out every morning and refill for them. I made up some extra sugar water to use over the next 2-3 days for them.

We got signed in with netflix on our big screen with password saved so it'll be easy to turn it on and start watching something (if we aren't watching the android box).

I'm going to bring the gifts upstairs to sort before heading out for groceries, in case there are still a few things I need to get. I need to go pick up my fresh turkey too. Later I'll be making a cranberry/orange sauce for the turkey and wrapping gifts while watching a few more Xmas movies. Tomorrow I'll be cleaning the house and preparing a hamburger/sausage casserole for Xmas Eve night. I need to take Taz's pic too with his Xmas antlers on. Don't think I'll have any time for scrapping til after Xmas but you never know. I might get a bit of time to myself at some point today or tomorrow.

Heard from Bailey on FB, who didn't chat but sent a message saying she was coming for Christmas. I hope so but won't be surprised if it doesn't happen.

Chris - bet the haircut feels good. Glad you're not feeling so stressed out today. My wish for you is to relax, enjoy the holiday and being with your family.

Nancy - sounds like fun with Luther at the park, spotting the birds.

Felis, Trudy, Jean, everyone else....I hope you are having a great day.

I've got to get going now. Things to do. Hope to pop in later.

Surprise! We have snow. And it is 35 F. Everything turned white this morning but don't know how long it will last with the above freezing temps. Pretty and not much bother for the roads.

Chris, so nice you're feeling cheerier today. Hope you wore the persisted shirt! You do accomplish a lot, more than you expect days like yesterday. Now it is almost here!

Nancy, no bird count? How can that be? Sorry for that. But the hockey game last night was a feel good one for you. Good luck with the Black Hawks.

Rae, everything is sounding good for your Christmas and I too will keep fingers crossed Bailey comes.

Felis, as I said, impressed you caught up with the weekly pages. However you want to do them is totally up to you. I will have to take a break from the daily photos next year but maybe I'll do something more like yours, or even just monthly as I've also done.

Trudy, Sharon and all, happy expectations!

Hope you all have a wonderful Xmas Eve and Christmas Day. I've got housework and food to cook today before relaxing tonight with family and enjoying some good food and drinks. The gifts are wrapped and under the tree now.

We are cold today (24°) but clear and a sprinkling of snow is forecasted for later today. Yay....no rain!

I'll check in with you all later, but wanted to pop in and say Merry Xmas to you all in case I don't get back here later.

good afternoon - busy as always the day before Christmas. Yesterday got some laundry done, then went to the game. My Devils had a great game and defeated the Blackhawks 4-1. It was so fun! I still have at times cant believe this is my Devils team. They have not made the playoffs in 5 years so I have become accustomed to them folding and these guys don't fold so at the Christmas break my team is in first place in the Metropolitan division. It may not stay this way but it sure is fun now! On the way home stopped at the grocery store so my boys would not have to today and called them and first my son does not answer made me mad! Then my DH gives me a hard time for being mad at my son. And now I am doublly mad after trying to do a good deed. I finally got their lists and did the shopping. So today is relax. Got Luther out to the park and now home. No live hockey for the next 3 days. But ah there is an app that lets you watch any game you want.

I know everyone is busy so have a great Christmas Eve and Day!

DH watching football on TV, I'm going to make a minor grocery run and tonight we'll wrap each others gifts and put them out for the morning. That's about it.

Merry Christmas to all.
