Happy first weekend in December!!! Are you starting to get a bit into the Christmas spirit? I am! In bits and pieces, to be sure. but I am.

If I say that yesterday was another blur of a day, will you be surprised? ;)
It took me an hour to clean Gary's bathroom. I gave up on cleaning his and the kids' a long time ago. But it needed a good scrubbing, and omg- the soap buildup and mildew in the tub, Gross!

Everything else got cleaned except the kitchen and I am going to do that today.

Great news on the craft show, even if no one shows up, each of us has sold something. Within 5 minutes of posting the dog treat shelf, one was already sold. Scott sold a set of mounted exotic beetles, Cait sold two cards and I have an order for a gift basket, in addition to the ones I do for my neighbor. This is why I make myself crazy. hehe!

I also wrapped the homemade dog treats. I have this ribbon that says "Woof" and has paw prints. I put the cookies into a small ziplock and then wrapped that with the ribbons. They are too cute. They will get posted in my 12 Days/FW's album on FB today. I was mad at myself for doing this since it was one more thing I had to keep up with but so worth it!

Today, Cait and I are going to the vet for Muffin's post-op recheck and then I am cleaning the kitchen and start to set up for tomorrow.

How about you?

Nancy- that is horrible news about your favorite player. :( At least you have been able to see him/get photos but it is still sad.
I don't know what we are going to do about a tree too. When J was a puppy, we used a long baby gate to block it off. Unfortunately, W jumps baby gates. I have a baby gate in the BR door and she just flies over it.

Rae-- :jaw: You had a lazy morning??? Wow! Good for you!
Hope that Bailey is doing better and helps with the tree tomorrow.
I only scrapped 4 LOs and only 40 gallery comments in Nov. I am one sorry Cheery O!

Jean- porcupines are gorgeous up close, aren't they? And yes, they love the treats! The one we got to see walked around on a leash with his trainer.
I understand the No Christmas Spirit until stuff is done, but I am getting drips and drabs coming through and I hope the same for you.
I am posting my She Persisted LO today with Elizabeth Warren's comments on the travesty of this tax bill. Very apropos for today.

xoxoxo to all of you!

Good morning, ladies. I'm heading out in a bit to go shopping with Bailey (she called last night and we talked for a long time). I'm going to try to see her as much as I can this month and hopefully she will be around for Xmas. She wants to come decorate the tree tomorrow so Jen will pick her up when we get back from Costco and the 3 of us will decorate. D puts the tree up, then when we finish he puts the tree topper on, that's all he wants to do. He doesn't enjoy decorating which we don't mind b/c we do : Bailey will be able to get her birthday gifts tomorrow as they have been here waiting for her these last few months.

The guy is coming today to hopefully fix D's chair. We had the pork tenderloin last night and we liked it. I rubbed spices on it, put it in the crockpot and then made a glaze for it, putting it under the broiler for a few minutes. It was a glaze made with Splenda brown sugar, coconut aminos (instead of soy sauce), garlic, balsalmic vinegar and mixed with water/cornstarch.

So we're taking Xmas stuff out from storage this morning and then when I get home later I'll start sorting thru it and get stuff ready for tomorrow. Then I am going to enjoy the evening, watching PVR shows and scrap a page or two.

Chris - good luck tomorrow at the open house. I think all your products look wonderful and hope you get a lot of sales. Hope Muffin gets a clean bill of health at the checkup.

I'm going to go enjoy a second cup of coffee and then hop in the shower before heading out. Have a great day, everyone.

good morning - well just back from taking Luther to the park for a walk. He wanted to go but he was tired and wanted to go back LOL. Still tired from doggie day care. It was an extra long day as my son hit traffic and I ended up picking Luther up after I had finished making dinner. Which every one agreed was really good as there was this oriental flavor to the kale and sauce. So I watched the Ducks with Adam Henrique and he got an assist so that was good but the team lost so that was bad as they were playing the team that is ahead of my Devils. But on the good side my team won 2-1 in Colorado for the first time in many years. It was a good defensive battle. Tonight they play the Arizona Coyotes. It will be two Devils goalies Scott Wedgewood who the Devils traded to the Coyotes and Keith Kinkaid my Devils goalie. Should be fun to watch to young goalies play.

Chris so glad it is all coming together. Have fun! Glad to hear you have sold stuff already. Hope all goes well at the vet.

Trudy hope you are having a great weekend getting ready for the invasion of family.

Rae your relaxing sounds great! Hope you had fun decorating and scrapping. Hope Bailey comes and is feeling better.

Jean I am sure your book will be awesome! Did you hear the Yankees hired Aaron Boone as their new manager. He has never been a coach or a manager only an analyst on TV. This should be interesting!

Felis hope things are going well!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Just popping in quickly to say :hello: I have to get the suitcase packed for our trip to Courtney. We need to get a few things done around here before we head out and then I will be MIA for the rest of the weekend! Unless the kids get into a movie or something then I might get a few minutes on the computer, but highly doubtful :becky: So I will just say have a great weekend everyone and I hope that everything falls into place for all of you! Especially you Chris! Good Luck with your open house, I know it will be a big success!!

I'm stuffed after our potluck, wanting to fall asleep. I'm still down at the historical society where it is nice and quiet. Tonight will be Ohio State football and I'm making some pasta. And work on the book.

Chris, good vibes for tomorrow. How nice you've all sold something already. You are doing so well! Still want to say how much I like the She Persisted LO. Hope all is peachy keen for Muffin. Can't begin to think about the tax bill. Or at least in family friendly terms. Maybe a little holiday is coming through because of being with friends and food though.

Rae, have fun tomorrow trimming the tree and seeing Bailey. Should be a nice day.

Nancy, good for the Devils winning in CO. Good luck tonight. Thought I might see a bit of the Blue Jackets game, but none of the TVs were on it and I didn't ask as I didn't truly care. We didn't think much of Aaron Boone as a 3rd baseman when he came to the Indians and just think of him as a pretty face on TV. Of course we hope the Yankees are wrong about him and they don't do well. But then you know that about us here. :) Too bad Luther got worn out. Hard to imagine.

Trudy, I know you'll have a fun and busy weekend. Enjoy!

Felis, hope things are going well for your weekend.

Will someone please remind me this time next year that it is worth it to make myself crazy for a couple of weeks to pull this Open House together? On top of the things that we sold on Friday, Gary sold another leash holder (plus made 2 more!) and I sold a bunch of things to Leah and her mom. This is how we pay for Christmas, this and saving up rewards points all year. Gary even thanked me last night for pushing him to make stuff.

I am about as ready as I going to be. (even though I still think I don't have enough stuff LOL)

Good news is that W only had one accident inside and this one was my fault. She makes this weird Chewbacca sound and it means she wants attention. Gary has just had her oustide so I thought that she wanted to play so I threw the ball a bit and then J stepped in. She peed right by the door a minute later.
Chewbacca Noise = Outside. Got it.

Cait and I took the rats to the vet in the morning and we spent more time chatting with the tech and vet than we did for the actual exam. They love the rats and will make excuses to play with them. Then after the vet had to see another patient, the tech stayed for another 15 minutes or so and we talked about the Animal Sanctuary -- she is helping me get a t-shirt for Leah from there for Christmas- and crying over dogs dying in movies.

Felis- she told me that I *have* to read A Dog's Purpose and The Art of Dancing in the Rain. Told me not to worry about crying because I will but worth it to understand how dogs feel. Sounds like my heart ill get ripped up, but I told her that it is my New Year Resolution to read at least one of them.

I have to get going so I am ready for the day. Thank you so much for supporting and listening to me ramble and vent about this. You are all so amazing!!

HAGD!

Rae- how was your time with Bailey? I am so relieved to hear that she is reaching out to you. I can't believe you haven't seen her since her b-day. :( Have a fun time decorating the tree!
The glaze/pork sounds really good (if I still ate pork LOL)

Nancy- that is so funny that Luther wanted to go for a walk, then changed his mind. When R gets like that, she just sits down in the middle of the road and will not budge.

Trudy- enjoy the weekend with the kids!!

Jean- potlucks are fun-- glad you are happy and stuffed, even if you are sleepy. You make me so happy that you like the She Persisted LO. I wish Liz could see it ;) I want to scream from the rooftops that Social Security is NOT an entitlement! (Among many other non-family friendly things too :censored: )

Anyway- here is to a wonderful, relaxing (???) weekend! :tea:

Good morning, ladies. Just a quick hello and then I'm off to Costco to meet Jen and get some groceries before coming back to get started on the tree.

I never got to scrap last night. I seem to have so many problems with my tablets. The one hooked up to my computer in the LR is acting up now. I can move the cursor around be if I try to click on something it doesn't work. Ugh. So no scrapping b/c I can't scrap with a mouse, it frustrates me. So I relaxed in my chair, watched 4 episodes to catch up with The Walking Dead and was in bed at 11.

Hope Bailey comes today, she was going to meet up with me yesterday so I could take her shopping but she bailed on me at the last minute. So no idea if she's show for today or not. If not, Jen & I will decorate the tree.

Chris - you always stress and always do well selling your FW products. I will remind you next year :)

Everyone else....hope today is a good one. I've got to get dressed and get out of here.

Sunny, not too cold, maybe I'll get out briefly. Otherwise watching football with DH and working on the book. It suddenly seems like I see the end down there a ways. And last night somehow I got hooked into scrapping a challenge and love the result.

Chris, hope your open house is going extremely well. I think this year will be better than ever. Love that all four of your contribute. You know we'll remind you next year! Please relax after with a big smile on your face. Love the stories of the vet techs and the rats. They bring folks lots of smiles in person and in tales told.

Rae, fingers crossed for Bailey to show. In any event it'll be great decorating the tree. Enjoy!

Hugs to everyone.
