You know how I said yesterday that I was off the hook with the rats in 6-8 hours? Well dammit, I spoke too soon thinking that it was going to be smooth sailing. Honestly, I should have known better with those two. They didn't escape, that would have been a real feat. But this was pretty intense too. I went up to check their water and food, give them some snuggles. The big girls were wonderful and happy to see me, Evie was her usual skittish self but let me grab her and check her incision for a split second but that was all I needed. Imogene, OTOH... she had started to chew at her stitches. I scooped her up and blotted off the area and there were small dots of blood. The wound wasn't open but was raw around it. I put her back into the cage to text Caitlyn and the next thing I see is her grab the area with her teeth and pull. Argh!! Gary and I tried to wrap her with gauze/bandage but she wouldn't let us. Caitlyn said that unless it was bleeding to let her go and she would wrap her when she got home. Each time I checked in, all four of them were sleeping so there was nothing else I could do anyway. Immi is so neurotic that she pulls her fur out when she is stressed. Here I was, worried about the big girls dying while Cait was away because they are so old. But no, they were angels and the littles ones gave me agita nonstop.

The kids had a great time, said it was a lot of fun, everyone got along, and no drama. Scott has work today and is exhausted but is looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. My mom and I got everything settled with the trip insurance and we popped into a local shop to look for a bathing suit for her. We found one that would have been so darn cute on her but it was too tight. She never buys anything for herself and really needed to be talked into trying it on. Then she was so disappointed when it was too small, I felt bad. It was the only one there too.

I think I am going to the FP this morning. Cait said that maybe she will come with me, but I am not counting on it. I am sure she will rather sleep in. Nothing else is going on today, I should try to catch up on my work here.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

@tanteva I added that kit to my "Kits I want to Buy" Pinterest board! Hahahaha!!!!
I hate when that happens to my eyes from staring at the screen. I think that it is just my contacts but then if I take them out, it still happens so it is just me needing a screen break.
Tell Discord that the evil babies probably taste bad and would not be worth the trouble :p

@felis That is too bad that you aren't doing too good with your projects but I give you credit for working on them at all! For the religious holiday, if it isn't just crafting for fun is it OK? So if you look at crocheting as a chore- it would be ok? Because if you are making a gift, it is an alternative to shopping, it makes it acceptable, at least to me. But this is why I am not religious. LOL
I *think* that photo is of Evie. Her real name is Evangeline but yes, I call her Evil. Evie and Imogene have very similar faces, Evie's chin is a bit more narrow. They are the same size but have different spots on their back. They have matching incisions on that side, Imogene's incision on the other side is the one that she was ripping open. It is a good thing that they are adorable. heh

@Cherylndesigns Back in the day (HS and college) I worked in a shoe store and wore a size 5. I loved at the end of the season I could get cute shoes on clearance b/c 5's were always the ones leftover. I hope that Carey brought a big enough suitcase to get back home with her goodies.
The rats are so cute, I love their faces! Livvie and Dill are sweet in spirit too, so many licks from them <3
I love hearing stories of Daisy and Sam together. Do you have any recent photos of them together?

Nooooo, absolutely not! You should not create anything physical, as this will make the souls angry. On religious holiday can only cook and care for the animals, anything else is disrespectful and can be cursed.
Only exception is if you're not been informed that it's holiday or anniversary, then you can bring it the church to be clean the bad energy, but it's very difficult and unstable, because on practice it's kind of mix between christian beliefs and the old pagan tradition.

Morning, all. Got most of my errands ran yesterday but had to stop before I finished them all. The back was in revolt by the time I got to the grocery store - so only grabbed the "must have's" and came home. Spent the rest of the day trying to recover - using the massaging unit several times while laying in the recliner. Glad I stopped at Kohl's first as I found several short-sleeve longer Tee-shirts on a great sale. I forgot it was Tax-free days so that was a bonus. Really like tee's that come down to the top of the thighs - especially right now when I am wearing the back brace. Can tell that today will be a 'recovery' day as the back is really stiff this morning.

Chris, so sorry the rats were giving you such a hard time. Know you are glad that Cait is home and taking care of the them again. Glad the kids had a great time on their trip. Oh... trying to find a bathing suit is always a challenge. So sorry the one for your mom was too small. Glad you got the trip insurance taken care of... better to be safe than sorry.

Managed to get a Layout for Challenge #3 - Borders done and uploaded this afternoon.

Cheryl - I saw your comment about looking for Western boots. Just have to show you my favorite pair of boots we bought several years ago. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. They are so elegant and they fit like a dream. When I walked over to show them to Hubby - he said buy them NOW... and neither of us had looked at the price. Thank goodness they were on sale for 50% off as they were over $250+ regular price. Hubby wore cowboy boots for years so he wasn't surprised at the regular price. He was thrilled that he finally talked me into a pair of cowboy boots.

Chris @faerywings those little stinkers. See, you spoke too soon. I just tried to take a picture of the two Doodles. Of course, one of them didn't cooperate - Daisy. Lila minds me better. Hahaha How funny that you used to have a size 5 shoe. You must not be very big. My youngest DD only wears a 6 1/2 or 7 and she can always find shoes on sale. We were about to leave the western store yesterday and Carey spied a whole barrel of fancy blinged-out flip flops and guess what? All tiny!

I need to upload some pictures - I always have to resize them as they're huge.

Kay @BrightEyes I'll let you see my new boots. I only have two pair of tall ones - one pair of short ones. I really like the short ones but it depends on what kind of jeans I'm wearing.

I need to get pictures of the animals outside - I never have my phone on me, but I'll put that on my to do list.

Hugs all around.

Cheryl, I think my boots are Tony Llamas but couldn't find the brand name. We bought them in El Paso so am pretty sure they are Tony's. The lettering - boot number inside - is worn down so it is barely visible. I also have a red/black pair and a pale lavender pair. Yes, I would love to see your boots.

Kay @BrightEyes I told you I was wearing my boots right now. They're not Tony Llamas, but they're new - I'm wearing them with my shorts. LOL I decided to stick my foot out and take a picture for you.

hahaha!!! Look at all of your boots! I don't have any cowboy boots pics to share but I have some Doc Martens.

:D I had so many pairs of Docs. These are the only two I have now. Such great boots. Easier to get on and off than cowboy boots too *G*

@felis that is a pretty serious curse and nope. I would not take a chance working on anything either. Nope, nope, nope
Caitlyn calls Imogene "Mean Mean Imogene" to match with "Evil Evie."

Kay- how is your back today? Were you able to rest enough to get the spasms to stop? Your boots are so cute, I love the colors of the stiching.

@Cherylndesigns Of course, the pups wouldn't cooperate with getting their photos done. Silly Daisy!
After my pregnancies, my feet went from a 5 to a 6. I am very short (4'11") but am spreading w-i-d-er than I used to be which sucks.
Don't your feet get hot in the boots?

Cheryl, hubby had a pair of boots very similar to those.

Chris, what neat boots those are.

The back is still very "iffy". If I move wrong, the spasms start up again. It is a PITA but have learned to deal with it.
The smoke from the fires is hanging in the air so heavy we can't see the mountain. My heart aches for those who have lost their homes due the fires.

@faerywings I love love LOVE your Martens! I have a pair too, plain black, that I've had since 1991. I don't use them as often nowadays - mainly because I'm too lazy. So much easier to step into my Adidas. I love Martens. Almost bought a pair when we were in Manchester - baby size! Can you imagine just how CUTE they were?! But they cost as much as a normal pair, and it's a bit much to pay for something you just put on a shelf for decoration. LOL

Oh, and I LOOOOVE people that are shorter than me. Don't meet that many of those LOL (I'm 5'1'')

Hello lOvelies!
First. It's so cute how you are flexing with these ridiculous expensive boots! I absolutely LOVE luxury shoes! Gives you so much more confidence to kick a**es.

Second. Today is the international cats day and I kind of thinking that it should be very important holiday! So cheers to all cat mothers around! :D
And also Kay you need cat believe me, lol! ;)

Unfortunately it's an emotionally tough date at my family, so to be respectful for it, I'm not able to celebrate anything else or being cheerful! It was really strange weekend. Even dad decide to join at our night dog's walks and he is that kind of men which never walk (and this is probably terrible for his health and with sure for the planet). But we all had need to spend some family time. And right now the summer evenings are so lovely! After extremely hot day, the evening temperatures are such a bless!

Third. My insta friend Carla (you known her, I'm recommended her page many times), was jury at very funny instagram event for eco gardeners. And it was supposed that I'll join in few of the categories, as I grow all of these things . But I wasn't in mood at all. And even worse the quality of my phone photos is become so poor, I'm very disappointed!!! Any ideas is it possible camera to be damaged at some way, because I put it everywhere? Also very strange and frustrating is that quality is nice at the phone gallery and drastically drop after uploading on IG, so maybe that is some sort of software problem? I was not patient enough to deal with that fiasco, so has to give up with just one not quite good entry. I'm so disappointed!

Now on personals:
Chris, hehe, I remember that the names comes from Shakespeare and I love that, but my kiddos also have bunch of nicknames, based on their personality.

Kay, sorry to hear that the back is still bad! The fires in my and around countries also going really wild and it is heartbreaking!

Cheryl, please, please, get pictures of the animals outside, I want to see them so much! But cat to be in too.

Eva, how many free days you have?

I LOVE your Martens! I have lots of other boots, too - probably at least a dozen or more. Can you tell I love boots? LOL It's funny because cowboy boots (especially the ones that Kay @BrightEyes has aren't really hot because they're REAL leather. Tony Llama's are "like butter" they're so soft and smooth! I haven't had the brown ones in the picture very long and I'm just breaking them in by wearing them all the time. I really only wear them (in the summer) in the evening - outside. I had 2 pairs of Tony Llamas and they didn't need breaking in - that's how comfy they are. They also come with a very "comfy price" but you get what you pay for. My feet went from a 7 1/2 to a 9 and unfortunately, my Llamas were 7 1/2's. I scuffed both pair badly right on the points of the toes and they couldn't be fixed anyway. That's why lots of boots have steel toes. My brown ones are really pretty comfy for new boots. Chris, you have to have a boot jack to get some of them off.

Kay @BrightEyes glad your back is a little better - "iffy" is still "iffy" though, so be careful.

My new boots are Laredos - The stitching on them is beautiful!

Felis @felis I'll try to get pics of the animals this week. Did you see my layout of Sam in the gallery? I just put it in there last night.

Eva, how many free days you have?

I'm working again on Aug 17, 19, 25 & 31 + Sept 1. This is as far as I know, the schedule aren't done any further. Not sure how much I get to work after that. It kinda depends on another person, that might need to take time off due to studies.

I'm giggling a bit here about the comboy boots. It's a bit of a joke in our family. My sister's ex-husband bought himself a pair of cowboy boots as a part of his mid-life crisis, along with a new "cool" car, a new girlfriend, and a divorce. Hence we tend to joke about people behaving strange in their mid-life crisis, and say that they are in a "buy-comboy-booths-mood". I'm sure it's not the same in the US, where owning a pair of cowboy boots aren't as un-common as it is here.
