Happy Happy weekend!
My morning got off to a good start. And no-- that is *not* snark. ha!!! After yesterday's brutal beginning, this one was much much nicer. I was able to sleep until 7. Had a cup of coffee, and heard caitlyn come down and talking to Gary for a while. I went int the LR and spent some time talking to both of them and snuggling with my puppers. :pupkiss:
Here it is almost 9 am and I am honestly not freaking out about how my day is almost gone. I have no major plans today besides catching up on some laundry and taking J on her walks. It looks like it is going to be a nice-ish day but T-storms later on. I hope that will be enough to keep me indoors so I can get some scrapping done.

i was able to clean most of the kitchen and found that the mice had chewed through a couple of bags of flour in one of the cabinets. Got rid of those and a bunch of stale crackers and used up a bunch of lysol :)

I was contemplating not going to the lake but knew that I needed to get out of the house and *sit* and I am glad that I did. The sun felt good, seeing people felt good, and seeing Caitlyn at work felt good. She came over to say hi as she was bringing her group from the camp beach back to the camp. Between that, and a yummy pina colada after dinner, I am feeling a bit more like myself today. (is that a good thing, or nor?? :scared: )

Hoping that you all gave a fab day and weekend!

Quick personals from me--

Nancy- that is so funny about the cats. When we were walking yesterday, the mama bear and 2 cubs were out and about, and Jaida didn't bark, nor did she want to go back inside. Would have been nice had she done either of them, but god forbid it was a bunny. LOL
We saw a fox outside yesterday too.We hear them at night when they "cry" but cute to see them running around.

Rae- I hope that you and Taz are having a relaxing time at the trailer, hubs too. You all deserve it.
Is Homeland on Netflix? Maybe we will add that to our list if it is.

Jean- must be good to find historical tidbits! We have a nice, cool breeze in NJ ATM- will send some over to you~~~~ did you get it? :D
I am going to have to remind myself that if the kids are in the house bickering- I can either tell them to get the heck out, or go for a walk myself, sit on the beach there for a bit.

hugs!

Good morning, ladies. Had a lovely morning at the trailer. Woke up at 8 and sat with my hubs and chatted and played with Taz, while watching The Dog Whisperer. Today will be walks with Taz, a bit of scrapping, organizing my files and watching Homeland. We'll have a BBQ for lunch and dinner. Looking forward to this quiet, relaxing day ahead.

Chris - how nice that you went to the beach with your friend. I think Homeland is on netflix. We have it on our Xfinity on-demand. I'm so glad it's been renewed for at least 1-2 more seasons.

I quit a store CT yesterday and feel good about it. I felt too stretched in all directions and need to narrow my focus (here of course). Sometimes it is hard to let go of responsibilities but necessary so we don't get too overwhelmed with things.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. I'm going to go check out the gallery.

Slept late today and it is lovely - yes, got that breeze! - and the day and tomorrow should all be wonderful. I need it! Tried something different in an AnnaColor Challenge.

Chris, your day sounds pretty good for anyone! Hope it continues.

Rae, glad to see you eliminate a responsibiity and be happy with it. I know how hard it can be. Know you'll have a lovely weekend.

Happy weekend, everyone!

hellllooooO O-Fam and a very happy Sunday to you all!

My day yesterday was pretty decent! After I posted here, I took princess J for her first walk. She didn't want to leave the driveway, so I went back and took Ray with us. That worked until we doubled back to the house and Ray decided she was done. I have J on the one leash, digging in b/c she didn't want to go inside, Ray tugging in the opposite direction b/c she did want to go inside. Thankfully, Scott was outside so I dropped Ray's leash and he let her in.
My neighbors must think I am off my rocker.

After a good walk with J, I came in and started to put some dishes away only to find more mouse poop in the drawer. Blergh! Only the one, so that was at least a good thing. Gary rigged up a strip of wood to prevent them from climbing from behind the stove into the drawer since that is the only way they can get in.

I got to cuddle with Muffin a bit too, she is mellow enough where you can grab her and she will run up your shoulder and hang out. Clover- she is way crazy! I scrapped a pge too! NBK's Template challenge was perfect for some pics I had of some butterflies. Another walk with J and then dinner.

Today is going to be more of the same, only I have to get ready for food shopping tomorrow. (ICK!!!!!) I also am counting the days until we go to PA. Even if the kids fight non-stop- I don't have to cook! wheeeeeeeeeee!

It looks amazing outside, so i am going to do my Dirt Therapy Reward.

Hope that you all have a super-sunday!

Rae- your weekend sounds relaxing too, glad that you all had a nice time at the trailer. I will have to check Homeland out.
Good for you for knowing what was best for you and leaving the other store. You can only do so much w/o making yourself crazy. IMHO- and I think you all will agree-- women in general have a very hard time saying "No." I *think* I do that on occasion

jean- sending you some more cool breezes- It ended up being very humid here yesterday but it rained and cooled it all off.
WTG on trying something new with the Anna Color Challenge!

good morning - yesterday was super busy as my son's car is broken again and I just cannot deal with it so because my son is a mechanic at the Ford dealership I can get his employee discount and so we decided to lease a Fusion. OMgosh what a difference. My son is going to be paying me for the lease each month so that is good for him to start taking responsibility. Then we were starving so there is a new upscale grilled cheese restaurant that just opened so we stopped on the way home and wow it was very good. They had portabella fries that were amazingly good as I don't like mushrooms. Got Luther out for a good walk before we left. Came home in the afternoon and watched Olympics mostly women's soccer. Good to see the USA doing so well. Then in the evening watched swimming. I find it amazing as I am such a poor swimmer. Today is more of the same. Monday will be hectic as I have to go to insurance company to get the insurance finalized, then pay home owner taxes, then to dermatologist to get my yearly check up. Still having fun watching the Olympic cycling race. So sad to see so many crashes. Some of the well known riders have fractured bones.

Chris so glad your day went well. Walking two dogs does not seem feasible to me. Luther knows where he wants to go and if I had two like him LOL. Our weather was so humid too until the rain came through and now it is lovely! Enjoy today!

Rae so glad you trailer time is so relaxing. Taz must be in heaven. I did CT work for a while and I found that I did not like the pressure so I understand you needing to quit and glad you are focusing here! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jean I will add my breezes to Chris's. I really like how you did the color challenge! Fun to try something different!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Had a fun day yesterday. It's funny how things never turn out like you expect them to. We had shopped Friday night so we could spend Saturday at the trailer and not have to drive into town for anything and could just relax at the trailer. So while we were outside weeding out front, some friends from down the road drove by and stopped to chat for awhile. They had just gotten back from town and had bought a new BBQ at a good price. Knowing that we were going to need a new one for home soon, we decided to drive into town and get one too. So I compromised and said we could drive into town to pick up the BBQ but I wanted to pop into the casino for a bit as we hadn't been in quite awhile, so off we went. Got the BBQ and spent 6 hrs at the casino and had so much fun. I chatted with the other ladies on the machines beside me and we were all laughing and yelling and hooting whenever we got a good spin. My hubs lost all his money so I gave him some of my winnings. When we left we broke even, as my winnings covered Darrell's loss. Fun time and ended up not costing us anything. We watched a few more episodes of Homeland when we got back and cannot wait to finish up the season, it is such a good show. We'll be heading home in a bit and it looks like rain later so other than putting up the new BBQ and dragging the old one out to the curb with a free sign on it, the day should be quiet.

Chris - that made me laugh...your dirt therapy lol. I'm excited to try out an electric hedge trimmer Darrell won from work. Not sure how well a job I'll do shaping the bushes but it should be fun to try. Do you have a trimmer? Any tips?

Nancy - you son will love having a new car. The restaurant sounds interesting and have never heard of portabella fries.

Jean - will have to go check out Anna's challenge and your page. Isn't it fun to try something different? I find everyone here really inspires me to try different things. My style has changed a bit since being here for awhile and learning new things.

Off I go to check out the challenges and have some breakfast. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
