And it is Saturday! What a dreary and rainy one so far. I guess it is fitting since this week was on and off rain the entire time. The workshop area of the basement is flooding but hopefully, the rain will end before it hits the main area. (Narrator: It is not going to work out that way)

The rain held off for most of the day yesterday although as soon as Caitlyn and I got our sneakers on to take W for her walk, it came down in buckets. That silly dog "talks" when she sees us do that, she is so excited. Yowls and howls and some barks in there. It is funny having such a talker. Harley was a bit, but W is the most vocal dog that we have had.

My mom and I made the reservations at the Bed and Breakfast down the shore for Sept 10-12! We have a nice room with a balcony overlooking the park. It is too far to walk to the beach but easy enough to drive down. Since it is off-season, it costs half the price than summer rates but the weather will still be summer-like. I am already excited!
My dad didn't come up with her. I think that was smart. My mom feels guilty about leaving him but I think they both need that time away from each other.

Cait is off babysitting today and Scott is going to come to the Food Pantry with me. he is going to get to the mural of the Ugly Jesus that looks like him. Caitlyn wants him to take a picture of him next to it, but how do you do that without seeming like a jerk? :noidea:

I better get going, I have a bunch of things to do around the house that I have been procrastinating on. ::grouphug

Nancy- I heard about the tornado in Queens! Crazy!! Hope that you were able to stay dry when you did your errands

Rae- oh what a mess this is. :( The hospital has no idea what to do so they just let her sit?? I keep hoping and praying the MLA has a better plan. So good that J was able to have a good visit with B, that must feel good for her. Enjoy the weekend away.

:hello: to everyone who stops in!

good morning - well it is pouring rain and we have had flash flood warning. It should end by early afternoon I hope. My DH had Luther out and they got drenched. But after this it should be sunny and then there will be lots of humidity yuck! Yesterday it was busy and I did not get rained on Yea! Got 4 loads of laundry done too. Watched some baseball and yes hockey. I enjoy watching the newest crop of potential NHL players and they are playing in a tournament World Jrs. Summer Showcase. It is USA, Canada, Sweden and Finland. The NJ Devils have prospects playing for the USA, Sweden and Finland and they all are doing really well. I really do enjoying seeing them at the beginning and then if they do make it to the NHL. Plus I love hockey in the summer. There are two more games today and they should be exciting USA vs Canada and then Sweden vs Finland.

Chris that is so exciting with the trip to the beach and a bed and breakfast! Sept at the shore is my favorite time. Warm sun and warm water! I know we had a thunderstorm in the middle of the afternoon. But then the sun came out and it was a beautiful evening! Luther is a talker too and I love it. He was talking back at me this am when he came in all wet and I would not let him go in the rest of the house until I dried him off! They are so funny! And now he is just sleeping.

Rae I am so sorry to hear that there is not a clear answer as to what can be done to help Bailey. As Chris said hope MLA comes up with something. But so nice to hear that Jen and Bailey had good times.

Waving to everyone!

Have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. We ended up staying home. D had a work emergency at the end of his workday so didn’t get home until after 7. I suggested staying home as he was so tired and the traffic and border crossing were really busy so he agreed. Neither of us wanted to be stuck for hours in traffic. If the weathers good we’ll go up next wkend. We watched a bunch of Reverie tv show episodes and was falling asleep in my chair by 11. We’re heading out to see family and give Ella her gifts and then will head up to the hospital to see B.

Chris...glad the room is booked for September, that’ll be a nice relaxing time. If Scott gets his pic taken with the Ugly Jesus, you should scrap a page about it. Sorry to hear of the basement flood.

Nancy...sounds like a productive day and then lots of sports for you to enjoy. Taz is a grumbler more than a talker lol. When he’s tired and I try to move him he will softly grumble at me and won’t stop until he gets settled into a new position when he lets out a big dramatic sigh and then goes back to sleep.

We almost ran into the bear yesterday as we were coming back from our walk. He was in our front yard and D and the neighbors were yelling and making noise to get him to leave but he was ignoring them as he rolled around on the grass, stretching. So D had the great idea to set off his car alarm which worked, the bear got up, crossed the street and went into the neighbors backyard. I couldn’t figure out why everyone was yelling at me and waving at me. They were trying to warn me to look out and not get in the bears way. This big black bear is here a lot now.

I’m off to get more coffee, read a few pages of my book and get ready to go out 8n a bit. Have a great day everyone!

good Sunday morning - well the rain ended and it turned into a nice day and evening and my DH and I took Luther out on an evening walk. It was nice. My river is running fast and high which is not surprising after all the rain. But luckily I do have bears to run into like Rae. Thank goodness! Got lots of scrapping done with my bird photos from Brigantine. Watched hockey and I love the competitiveness between the USA and Canada. The Canadians jumped to a 5-1 lead but the US came back but lost 6-5. It was fun in that I got to see many of my NJ Devils prospects. The Yankees continue to lose to the Red Sox who this year just can not lose. Today is just a relax day! Hopefully more scrapping.

Chris thanks so much for the Standing O on my egret page. That was so nice and such a surprise. Hope the weather cleared up for your day and you were able to get outside!

Rae sorry you were not able to make it to the trailer but sounds like a really nice evening watching TV. Enjoy the family time with the birthday girl! Sounds like really nice time. Then hope all goes well with visit to B.

Jean thanks for the nice comments on my bird pages. It is fun to do and I really appreciate.

Wave to all. Have a great day!

Finally, a day full of sunshine is on tap. The sun came out yesterday afternoon and wow it got so humid. I don't think that my hair is *ever* going to go back to curls instead of a giant poof ball of frizz.
Scott thought that the Jesus mural at the FP was pretty accurate but wasn't able to get a photo, he was thinking he would try to get a selfie with the mural in the background but we were too far away. But he laughed when he saw it.

I want to be outside a bit today since I know that the yard has been neglected over the last week with all of the rain.
HAGD!!

Nancy- I am so darn done with the rain.

yahoo for having some hockey back!

Rae- that stinks about not being able to go to the trailer, but maybe next weekend will work out for you.
J is a "grunter" when she is being stubborn- which is often. ;)
Good thing that you didn't get too close to the bear. One time, we were having pizza with the neighbors and a bear came between their house and where we were eating. There was an old bicycle near us and someone came up with the idea of ringing the bell on it. Bear looked over at us and then rambled off.

Nancy- there is a creek at the end of my street that feeds into Greenwood Lake and it was high and fast when we walked down there with W yesterday. Bet it is like that all over. The egret photo/LO was just incredible!

time to roll... xoxo

Hello ladies!
It's nostalgic time for me. I don't know do you have this kind of tradition to bring food, flowers and candles to the graveyard for anniversary of loss. Next week is 19th anniversary without my grandma, so we gone to the graveyard at Saturday. It's strange how sorrow don't change with the time. Maybe because we are stuck on same places, with same objects and same feelings. I remember that summer, it was hot like now, we was teenagers and was too occupied to have some stupid fun. On this age we wanted to be independent, and wasn't enough patient with my granny. We complaining all the time that we don't need she to babysitting us. I wish my mom to was explain us that she come to take a break from her alcoholic husband and daily problems. And she needs this time spend with us, more than we from control. She gone from broken heart and I'm pretty sure we was one of the reasons for her problems.
Anyway! I share you all this because I want to make you considering this: Remember for someone with who aren't speak soon and send him message or call! No matter parent, child, grandchild, another relative.

Here is not so hot like in central Europe, but is extremely hot and this put the whole family in murmuring and contentious mood. Not nice weekend.

Chris, so bad that Scott wasn't able to get this photo with Jesus mural! It would be fun! But this place near to the beach sounds awesome!

Nancy, good that flood warning wasn't happen! At this weather is even more pleasant to stay in and watch sport. Your bird album is SOO pretty! Absolutely pleasure to watch it!

Rae, actually this change in your plans don't sound so bad. Hope your husband was able to resolve his problems at the work. Oh and looking from side this bear story is so fun, looks like she likes your place.

Jean, I saw your fairytale page at the newsletter, it's lovely! I know you are busy at the weekend, and hope that all is good with you!
