Happy Saturday!
A WAH day for me, bummer... but a girl has got to do what she has got to do. We got our new mortgage/escrow amount and it is going up $50/month. grrr..... I really need to find something else to do, but it is so hard being that I need a really flexible schedule. I wish I could become rich and famous making Faery-Wings stuff..... but yeah, that isn't going to happen.

What is everyone up to this weekend? Besides working, and cleaning up my house, I don't have any plans.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Personals:

Nana Linda- sometimes "home time" is the best time together.Glad you and Cameran had a nice day!
ugh about the other boy and the meltdown. Sometimes I don't get other parents, and why they give in to their children. My MIL took my kids to this reptile show and there was this group of kids sitting in the front (5-8 yo's) who were talking and goofing around and getting up and down. The parents were clueless. My kids came back and told me that if they had behaved like that, I would have given them one warning, then grabbed them and dragged them out. Damn straight! It is harder to do that now that they are both bigger than me..... but at least they knew it back then LOL

Linda S- it sounds like you have had a crazy week too. At least the kids stuff is good stuff, even though it is so hectic. I am glad to hear mom is doing better. When do you think she'll be able to come home?
Enjoy your time off!!!!

Huggles to Clara!! Go away allergies! Hope that you got to sleep better last night. How is Addie Paddie and the ears? Any luck with the housing?
I am amazed that you have lasted this long and not killed your family- I would have long ago. I still want to some days and I have a comfy bed to sleep in.

Laurie- you deserve to eat what you want while on vaca. Its like when the cookie breaks, the calories escape... the calories you eat when on vaca don't count. There will be plenty of time when you are back home to drop any weight Besides- i bet it is all muscle- canoeing for 3 hours has got to build up those arms!!

And that is a great question- and something that I do all of the time as well. If I get away to PA for a few days, I want to come back relaxed, but I can be home for 10 minutes and all of the crap I left there is still there. Its like I expect a few days away to change it all. But it is the realization that you have to change stuff *in* you. If you do the yoga and journaling that will be a great start!
I am hoping that once the kids' go back to school, I am going to use the time after they get up the bus (7 am- 8 am) to exercise too.

Guess that is it for now. love you all!

Good morning my fabulous O family!!!!

I am sitting in my PJ's drinking coffee with horrible sore throat (sinus), but otherwise feeling pretty good....and I am ALL ALONE...ALL DAY!!!! and this is a really GOOD thing!!! I am going to get my cleaning done and then I am going to scrap and maybe go get a pedicure!!! OH WOW....did I just say that???? I haven't had a pedicure in over a year!!! I do give myself one about once a month....but I want the TREATMENT!!!

Tomorrow will be up in the air...don't know what Mike is up for...I am thinking a ride in the country...we will see!!!

Oh...I do have to go through all my vacay photos and edit upload to facebook before Sharon kills me!!! She keeps saying she is a bad Mom because she did not take one single photo...hahaha...I told her she is not a bad Mom...she is a FABULOUS Mom for bringing her own personal photographer with her!!! :peace:

I had to pull out couple of Savannah on the beach...that kid absolutely loved the ocean!!! The water would come up to her and then go back out and she would she yell and laugh and then do the "gimme" hands/fingers for it to come back (I so wish I had not forgotten my video camera)

So I got some random text at 5 am this morning....from some stupid 900 number!! woke me up...could not go back to sleep until around 7...so I just got up 45 minutes ago!! I hate that!! I usually don't have my phone in the bedroom, but I had to plug it up last night to charge!!

Okay....lets spead the love:

Chris....You totally sound like the same kind of parent I was!!! and it does not matter how much bigger than you they are...RESPECT, and if you need to give them a good smack they will stand there and take it!! But now I know your sweet darlings would never need a smack now:biggrin: I am hearing you on the Mortgage...in the last 4 years ours has gone up $150..first it was the house value but it's higher taxes and our homeowners has gone up a lot!! BAH!!!! EVERYTHING has gone up so high. Mike wants to quit working (he is too freaking young..but that is beside the point) since he has all of his time in...but we can no way afford the pay cut to his retirement amount!!

LindaS...SO HAPPY to hear your Mom is doing better!! Those blood clots are scary!! and all I have to say is "I AM TIRED" with your schedule!! I guess once you have been through it, it's hard to think about it again!! I like being the Nana...can go and come as I please and don't have to actually deal with anything

Clarabear!! (((HUGS))) from NANA!! I hope you and Addie are feelling better!!! and yes any updates on the house?? If you need, we can send you some whips to crack that fam into shape!!! Just keep telling yourself you will laugh about this time in your life one day!!!!

Laurie...ITA with Chris...the vacay calories are NULL AND VOID!! but about the CRAP when you come home...that little guy you leave behind to take care of it all while you gone....he goes on vacay too and he runs crazy through your house making more havoc for when you get home :pound:

Good Morning Ladies!!!!

Waiting for the little one to get up so I can start working in his room! That stinking stayed up until midnight! He's exhausted!

Have a good one everyone!

Slow day for me! Dad came for coffee...love that! And Mom came home yesterday! My oldest niece went back to college last night. We had a great time...we had pizza and homemade ice cream at Mom and Dad's. Everyone was there. The little kids played, lots of conversation. Got in a few games of Boggle with brother, sister-in-law and 2 of my nieces. Took the camera and didn't even get it out! But considering myself incredibly blessed!!!

It's going to be a hot and humid one today. For right now, playing at Oscraps. :-)

Chris, hope that you don't have to work too hard today. I know what you mean...wish I could land a work at home job that would make me rich!

Happy Saturday everyone... I had this incredibly long post all typed out and then lost my connection when I went to post it.....grrrr  :frusty: I don't have time to do it again so it will have to wait for another day. I was going to tell you all about my Tea Leaf reading, but oh well it will wait. Today we are finishing up a few things for DD before she gets ready to go back to Ontario, tomorrow shopping in Victoria with her and then Monday we have a birthday party for MIL. Won't be here much so hope that everyone has a great weekend and will tell you about my reading another day.

Kat, Sydney was up until 10:30 last night. Then she slept until 9:30 this morning. I'm going to spend the next few days working on the bedtime routine so that we are ready for school on Wednesday! Wish me luck!

Trudy, I was posting a few minutes ago and then my laptop just shut down! It's been doing that lately...think I need to have a stop at the computer repair man! grrr...

Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Good morning Nana Linda. With the whole day to yourself, I hope that you find at least a little bit of scrapping time! Now, I'm off to hunt for some of those fantastic smilies like Kat has!

evening all - sitting between Erie PA and home- it was a long day in the car. Too tired to do personals- so know I read it all and hope you have great tomorrows- I will be working on reentry- I got some great clouds in the valley photos- but camera is in the car and it's raining- I am sure to make a layout in the next week with them though.

Well it's pretty early...5:20 and I am up!! UUUGGHHH!!

Sinus/allergy situation kept getting a little worse as the day went on....by 7pm last night...I was feeling ROTTEN!!! I took a musinex....helped the symptoms, but I can never sleep well (if I sleep at all) when I take them...I went to bed at 10 and slept for two hours then I was awake every hour for at least 15 minutes....Last time I took these things, I slept less and less each night, until I did not sleep at all one night, so I stopped taking them after 5 days...and I crashed the next night and slept for 12 hours.....

Yesterday I mostly enjoyed the peace and quiet....Traci called and I went to pick her up and take her to Home Depot and then to a friend's house...that was about and hour and half of my day.....and I just wanted to come back home to rest...so no pedicure....

That's about it.....

LindaS....Sounds like a fab evening...so glad your Mom came home..and the icecream sounds so yummy!!! and I totally hear you on the BLESSED!!

Laurie....can't wait to see those pics!! YUCK on the long car ride...It's been years since we rode that far in a car!! Hope the transition back to RL is easy!!!

Well, the Linda's have another thing in common. I was up at 5:20 our time. Ugh...just want to sleep! Sorry about the sinus stuff Linda. I don't even have an excuse.

However, I'm going to get some good out of these early morning hours and I'm off to the gallery!

I am in- it is thankfully later than 5 am! I have been up since 8... but that doesn't count too much since I was up at all hours in the middle of the night with the dogs and cats :(. You know how much I adore my animals but I spend more of my day cleaning up after them, feeding and medicating and then they won't let me sleep!

Last night, the cat that is sick had an accident in the bathroom, and then the dog went in there and was slipping and sliding on the tiles, the cat was freaking out, the dog kept falling over, and the last thing I wanted was her to jump back on the bed with me, so I had to listen to her whine at me!

(I think that was the longest run-on sentence I have ever typed)

But yay for coffee!!

I worked all day yesterday, I was beat by 6 pm. And the sad part is that it was mostly all work on the computer. I was hoping to work out in the yard today, but it is pouring. I know, its all good, and maybe my plants will not die completely and they will come back next year.
So its housework today and *fingers crossed* some scrapping.

Lindax2 hope you both get some time to rest today.

Laurie- safe trip home! Cannot wait to see all of your lovely photos!

Hi Trudy!

Love to you all!

Good morning ladies!!!
What a weekend so far :) Worked yesterday ..... watched 2 soccer games ... ;) Love watching soccer .... and then the girls and I had a movie marathon cause Daddy was gone out with his soccer buddies for their annual year end banquet ... we watching 3 of the 5 Bring it On movies .... gotta love me some cheerleading lol ;) It was a great night to snuggle on the couch with my babies though :)
Today, I'm hoping to scrap a little, clean a little, and NAP a little MORE than a little :) Ohhh and yes there is a soccer game to watch today too!! Loving life :)

I am home- hurray- as much as it is not a luxury hotel- it is home- and I'm unpacking and doing laundry and happy about it- soon to be out working on my tan- translation- mowing the lawns- the downside- it is humid out- we did not have AC in VT and didn't miss it, could leave the doors open and very few bugs if any- I am sure that is not what I will find when I head out.

Chris- I hear you on the pet cleanup- 12 days away from home and the house is filled with black hair. No one put the cat out at night or not very often, so I have a litter box to clean as well.

Krista- I never could understand the game of soccer- lots of pics and a story in there somewhere about a broken wrist I missed seeing cause I was in the car paper scrapping!

Nana- hope your coffee was good- can't wait to have my morning coffee in my own home tomorrow- for now I will finish some of those heavenly cupcakes I made at the bakery class (with a cup of coffee in the recipe!)

Still working on getting pics uploaded- but here is one of the splendid morning view two mornings while I was up there. From Trapps property you can look across the valley that the village of Stowe is located in. Some days you are blessed with amazing, brilliant white clouds in the valley- the perks of getting up early and the sun shining on them makes them the color of white that I imagine they talked about in the bible- glowing white! Enough blabber- lawn is mowed, I am going to have some Boyden Winery Cow Tipper wine and make dinner in a kitchen that you can actually cook in!

Chris- here is a link for you for the wine- we only bought 2 bottles of that wine- they do ship to OH though in case I get a real hankering.

dinner has been served, laundry done, but not put away, files from dh computer burned to a disc and transferred to mine! Time to finish the housekeeping and then scrap!

That is too funny!
My brother got me a bottle of "Smiley" Wine
2009 Project Happiness - Chardonnay

Looks like we wine drinkers have a sense of humor :D

Okay...so, my weekend!!!

It has been pretty good with a couple of ooopsies and yucks along the way, but running along on the highs of cool things so not worried so much about them. So, as you know we've been looking for a house and trying to decide whether to live on the military base or not. On the military base we would get a house that is 1200sqft because the larger houses won't be available until October and that just didn't sound like fun to continue living in the camper until then. We now have moisture ants in the camper like crazy. That is not fun at all. so, we have been looking off base for houses. We've found some cool houses but whenever we would try and see the insides they wouldn't be available, or would already have been rented out or something. Then we decided to check out a rental agency and got some keys to actually see inside some houses. So Derek got the keys for 2 houses and we to look. The first one we saw was a little more than I wanted to spend but still doablebut when we walked in we both had a sense of comfort and knew it was the house. the next house we saw we both wanted to like but it wasn't as perfect as the first house. So off we went to turn $300 cash into a money order. I had to go to Walmart to do that...I finally understood the "People of Walmart" emails that I have received. In washington Walmart is not like that but I will not be returning to Walmart again, except for when my sister comes to town and I told her that I would return to Walmart as her Christmas present. Then after all that we didn't even have all the right paperwork. But we were able to get all the paperwork in along with a $300 deposit to hold the house until everything is run on our application so that we can give them more money soon hopefully and move in before long. Hopefully we will know by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Then Saturday I went with Andrea to help her find a dress for a military ball. They are supposed to dress up all fancy for the balls and her husband asked her real nice to go so she agreed. We thought it would be a painful experience because who wants to go try on dresses to begin with much less when you feel ginormous because you are 20 some odd weeks prenant so me and the fam went over and hung out with her fam for a bit and then we went and spent some girl time together. The kids got along great, the hubbies got along great. I got to meet Vince and we had a good time. She even got to check out our home sweet camper. :)

Then last night we went to a little gathering. DH got a bit topsy turvy and so I left him with our friend who brought him home later but of course our house keys were in his pocket so me and the kids got to hang out in the car until he showed up. Ugh!! It was all good though. I was in a decent mood so it worked out okay. Today was a nice sunday. We checked out a nearby town and went to Trader Joes which made me feel not so far from home, which is always nice. Then on the way home I saw my first tobacco fields.

Well, derek wants to go home so no time for personals like i had hoped. i love you all though and will do them tomorrow. i love you all. ciao.

Most of my weekend was spend on a chair in the living room nursing a drama queen for a gall bladder! Basically, I have an autoimmune disease they can't ID, but on top of all the symptoms of the disease, my gall bladder occasionally acts like it's about to rupture.

All day yesterday was spent dealing with Comcast... it was so awful... I don't want to talk about it!!!

So today things started to turn around, and I was able to do laundry & visit with my best friend. I took part in the #blogchat on twitter tonight for the first time -- that was fun!

I'm now sipping a glass of blackberry wine & watching M*A*S*H with my in-laws!
