This mama's heart is happy. I love having the "kids" home again. I am so relieved that Cait is back with her rats too. You all know how concerned I was about that. Cait would have had a very hard time if they died or even suffered while she was away. Good thing I was able to spoil them a bit (a lot!).
Yesterday, I went up to feed them. They are eating their regular nuggets but some baby food meat and veggies as a supplement. Clover is losing regular weight as the tumor "steals" much of the nutrients. I have two little capfuls of turkey and sweet potatoes on the floor of the cage and for some ridiculous reason, Muffin had to climb on top of Clover to get to the one on the opposite side. She was literally standing on top of Clove's head, *after* she stepped into the dish of sweet potatoes. I was LMBO and had to take a series of pictures to send to Caitlyn.
When the kids got home, J and W were practically bouncing up on them, tails going a mile a minute. Even Ray was happy. When Pook went upstairs, her girls came running to the front of the cage to see her. I think the pets were happier to see them than I was. LOL

I have good news from my parents. My dad has not had any more vertigo incidents since his accident and he bought a car. It is a used CRV, very similar to the ones he has been driving all along and he had no problems driving it home. Aside from the fact that the dealership was close to where DT is on vacation and all of the roads were closed and detoured. It took them forever to get back home. But he did it and I think this is going to make things a lot easier on both my mom and dad. Whew!

It is going to rain all day here so I think I am going to do some housework and maybe either scrap or do some work on organizing my stash. I cannot find anything between my computer and the Shop here. I spend more time looking for things than actually scrapping.

The four of us watched Harry Potter 4 last night and I think we might watch #5 tonight.

Have a fab day and hugs to all of you!

Rae- you are a good grandma! That sounds delicious for B to eat that cocoa spread. Bet it made her very happy :hungry:
I hope that you are having a nice, relaxing time at the trailer this weekend. Is Jen with you too or is she staying home? Hope that you had a good eye exam and found some cute glasses too.

Jean- long time no see! So much for downtime this summer- but I bet it makes you feel good to keep busy. You seem like me- always off and running even when you don't have to be.
I spent about 1.5 hours in the attic but I don't think I made much of a dent in anything. All I found so far was a ton of junky toys. But I should sell what I can, toss the rest.

Hello girls,
it's not much happened in this hotness. But yesterday was really special day for me. Miles Kane, who is one of mine forever crush, realized his new album. It's just awesome album! Maybe you remember about the song that I was mentioned previous week. So I needed to escape from the reality and only to listen it. At some moment I was sitting in a lovely summer night and listened it with smoothie in cocktail cup, I was a really fun view. :cosmo

Chris, it's lovely to see so happy! And that all with Jean is been all right till the silence . Rae, your words to me last time was so kind and wise, thank you so much! Have fun at the trailer!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Good morning ladies. I had a nice long chat all typed out and my wonky laptop deleted it. Ugh, so here is a short version. D went into town to pick up some amazon parcels he ordered so I am relaxing at the trailer. I was able to get my tablet hooked up and download photoshop and windows updates as its been a year since I used this laptop. Its frustrating b/c its slow and it glitches, the mouse jumps around when I type and erases and moves text around quite a bit which is how I lost my first post but its better than nothing.

I want to scrap a few pages, clean up some of my pinterest boards and watch some movies. Taz and I will get out 2-3 times for a long walk too. Just a relaxing day which we both need. We'll head home early morning so we can get up to the hospital to see B for the afternoon.

D and I got our eye exams yesterday and ordered our new glasses, he got 2 pairs and I got three - office progressives, transition progressives for everyday wear and a pair of progressive gradient tint sunglasses. It'll be weird to wear glasses all the time but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

Chris - glad you kids are back home which makes you a happy mom. Glad that Clover remained ok when C was gone. We like Harry Potter too but haven't seen the last couple of movies yet.

Felis - enjoy the new music. B and I were talking about music and she wants to sit down and watch youtube videos of my fave songs from over the past 30 yrs or so. It'll be interesting to see if she remembers any of them.

Hope everyone is well. I'm getting on with my day now, back to photoshop to see if I can get a scrap page going. Have a great day everyone.

It is a gorgeous day and I've had a good time. I attended the meeting where I was the speaker last month. I really went as I promised to help one of the members (who I've known a long time) with a problem with her genealogy computer program. But the first presentation was by a good friend and really excellent speaker. Second was a recorded talk (webinar). Things ran long but we still got to use the meeting room and I quickly saw the program problem and hopefully have the lady on the right track. Tomorrow is an indoor picnic for all the area genealogy groups. After that the calendar is nearly blank for a while, so can get on with my own stuff and hopefully some scrapping.

Chris, hooray the kids are back and the rats have their mommy too. We've seen a little Harry Potter on TV but never really got into it. And at least you got a little stuff out of the attic, yes?

Felis, hooray for you too with the new music and a cool way of listening to it.

Rae, hope the laptop comes through and you get to scrap some. So nice you have the trailer to find a little relaxing time.

Wish you all had this weather and continue with a good weekend.

Happy Not-Sunny-Sunday but at least in the not-flooded area of NJ. I guess it is a nice feature of living in the Highlands is that we don't get flooded as easily as the lower section of my county-

A friend of my BFF posted a video on FB of cars being washed under a bridge from a dealership. While he was on the bridge. Yikes. (yeah, we have no climate issues SMH)

Since yesterday was a dreary day, I spent most of it puttering around, chatted with the kids about the vacation, watched them play with the dogs. They really missed the pets and they missed the kids back. Caitlyn and I were able to take W for a quick walk in between rainstorms. I also tried to do some tagging in ACDSee but it kept locking up on me even after restarting my computer. I had a similar issue with Photoshop a few weeks ago which makes me worry a bit about this darn machine.

We watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix together and I am always in awe of the movies, but I still love the books *so much* more. Made me happy when Scott grabbed the book from the bookshelf to reread it. As soon as I am done with the book I have from the library, I plan to reread the series (again).

Today is going to be a plan for the upcoming week, prep for food shopping and pay some bills. Hoping that your day is a bit more exciting than mine- but only in a good way.

hugs!

Felis-whoo hoo on hearing some new music from a forever crush! Sounds like a perfect summer evening-- music and a smoothie and being happy.

Rae- sorry that you lost your post. I hate when that happens. The laptop sounds like it has similar issues as my computer. I should go and check to make sure that I have everything updated. I checked ACDSee yesterday and there weren't any updates but who knows what else could be needing them?
Were you able to get any scrapping done? So happy that you are able to get some relaxing done-- you need and deserve it.
Can't wait to see some pictures of you in glasses! I need a new pair too but don't have the $$ to spend. I would rather pay for contacts and muddle along with the crooked frames.

Jean- what a long day of meetings/webinars but I bet they were very interesting to you. Great work on figuring out what the computer program issue was-- do you make house calls? I could use your help too :D
Enjoy the picnic today.
It is crazy how much the entire family adores Harry Potter. I started out reading the books to the kids out loud. I can't tell you how many times we have read/watched it. Every time I reread a book I pick up something new.

Good afternoon ladies,
We just came back from the grocery. Do you have in your life men who always give you a rush for somewhere?! Hope not!!! It's so frustrating. We was told one hour, but dad pressured us to go an hour early, sometimes he really have the talent to piss off everybody. It's not good start to make all mad even before the day has begun. He was waiting at the car,
when three of us was ready and on the front door we looked one each other and start laugh, spontaneously and independent from each other, we was decided to wear black dress. "Hot procession of glumly looking beauties" as at the song :D. Actually this fixed my mood and it was nice shopping. Except the fact that outside is very hot, but in the store they keep temperature which wasn't much pleasant for summer dress.

Rae, this for the music and B is very interesting experiment. It's really curious what she will remembers of them. But also sounds kind of dangerous, because the music is most stronger connected with our feelings than every other art. I mean most people can't remember which book are read after first date, but knows on which song they are spend hours to repeat it in their mind.
I wear glasses all the time from kid so really don't find it strange or uncomfortable, it's just first unconscious reflex at the morning. The bad side is only when suddenly fall asleep during watching movies, some frames aren't good for that ;) . I remember you was mentioned about the iPad before, hope you'll can found it on deal!

Jean, oh, so exciting about the good implementation of your friend as a speaker! And how nice from your side to help to the other with the genealogy computer program, but I'm not surprised at all, its totally in your style! I'm happy that you have good time with your genealogy stuffs! I also found it difficult to scrap, but have to do at least my weekly project. Probably soon.

Chris, oh so bad about the flooded! Poor people (and animals)! Weather is so nasty this year.
I will not even mention it again that I'm massive fan of HP too. But I was wondering do you already read the play?! About the Harry and Ginny's growing kids. I like it a lot, even is not just so good as the books was, but it's adapted for play so this is understandable.

Hugs and kisses to you all!
