happy weekend to all of you! Did everyone get some time to sleep in and be a bit lazy this morning or are you busy with Real Life anyway? I woke up at 6 but was able to stay in bed until 6.30. It is better than nothing, so I will take it.

Yesterday was a big fat BUST for me. I had gotten up and moving early so I could take Cait to get her blood done before I had to leave. She was exhausted and couldn't get out of bed so we were going to see what time I got home from the Dr. That left me a bunch of extra time so I ended up vacuuming and tidying up a bit. I head to the Drs and start filling out the paperwork when the receptionist says that she doesn't think that they take my insurance for the exam itself. I try calling my insurance co and end up in the loop of "Say ____", Press 1, etc and so forth. I finally am given the option to say Representative, which I do. That only gets me "Please wait while we connect you to a CS Rep." Then *poof* "Your call cannot be completed at the time, please try again later." Click.

Meanwhile, the receptionist is looking on her end to see if the office takes my plan and she says that they don't. On the Ins Co website, it said for sure that accept my Tier but I cannot risk getting the exam done and having to pay out of pocket if it doesn't go through. I say I am sorry for wasting your time and head back home. So there went an hour and half of my day. I had two Drs appts scheduled for this week and both of them went down in flames. :flame:

I did stop at the hair salon to make an appt for a cut and color on the way home. Cait was about ready to head into the shower when I got there so we ran over to the Lab for her blood draw.

I was so aggravated and worked up that I ended up cleaning the house. Gary was still out with his dad so I could clean without being in his way.
So that is the plus side, right?

Hopefully, this weekend will be a bit calmer for me. the sun is out but it is windy and chilly but tomorrow is going to be much warmer. I never go the bulbs in the ground so I have few that I can do now and then a few that have to wait until May. But who cares as long as I get my hands into the dirt. *happy sigh*

Enjoy your day and I leave you (for now) with a nice cup of :tea:

Nancy- that stinks that there was such a mad rush getting to the game on Thurs. On a smaller scale, we had that here on Wed. Cait wanted us to watch a particular episode of Always Sunny but she had to drive my neighbor's sun to Percussion Practice right after dinner so we had such a small window of time. Right before we were supposed to eat, she decides that she had to pierce her ear because it "was on her To Do list." Scott was running late home from work and Gary was helping Cait with the earring. It was so crazy that no one could relax enough to laugh at the show.
How was the practice yesterday?
I am so excited that this week will warm up finally!!!! I agree, the rain had to push the mice inside. You would think between 2 cats and 2 dogs, they would be smart enough to find somewhere else. hehe

Trudy- congrats on the new tablet! I love mine too except that when I had to get a new one a couple of years ago, I didn't get the one with the touch feature. I use it so much less than the previous one because of that. That is so nice of your sister to pay you so you get to treat yourself. Nope, I couldn't live on the Wet Coast -- California sounds like it could be nice, however. :)

Rae- good for you for doing your video!! I am so proud of you! That is something that I don't think I could do.
How was Ava? Did you come home with muddy and happy pups?
Good to hear that Jen is good and that Bailey is on an "up." I wish that she would always be there but it has to be so hard. Scott's boss is celebrating 3 years sober (drugs and alcohol) this month and it took him a really long time to be able to make that step.

Hugs to all!

good morning - yes I slept until 8:15 and it was awesome. My DH is out walking Luther and my son is watching tv so I have a few minutes of quiet. Going to the practice was a lot of fun. At this time of the year there really is not a lot to practice as there are only two games left but it was fun to watch them take rushes and do a small scrimmage and then of course the shoot out. The fun at the end of the coach led practice was watching the interactions of the players as they did shooting competitions. And of course to see Patrik on last time. He can still skate and shoot. I took the trains and it was easy. There were major accidents on the highways so I was glad I have the train option. Came home and took Luther for a walk and then watched the USA women's hockey team defeat the Canadian women's team in a real nail biter 3-2 in OT. Today as it is the last home game we ended up with extra tickets so my whole family is going to the game. MY DH and I will sit in the down low seats while my two sons will sit in my normal seats. We are going to eat at this fun restaurant/bar Hell's Kitchen. It should be a tough game as the Islanders have to win to still even have a chance to make the play offs while my team would love to be a spoiler.

Chris so sorry that the doctor's appt did not go well. I hope you get it worked out soon and can get your eyes checked out. Interesting that being aggravated gets you in the cleaning mood. Hope the weekend is calmer. And yes I can't wait until it gets warmer. The wind is strong so still will need my heavy coat.

Trudy how fun to get a new tablet. I have one but since I have a laptop it requires more space than just my lap I just have not gotten used to using it. I took Anna's class and it seemed the way to go for extractions but just have not figured out the logistics. I am like Chris I could not live where there are weeks without sun. The cold is not fun but I think Ontario get way colder than NJ so that would not be fun either. I am getting wimpy in my old age.

Rae I went and watched your video and great job! It is was so fun to see and then to hear your voice. I will be checking back. Have fun with Ava. Hope the rain stopped long enough for a good walk.

Hope you all have a great day!

Since I'm here in the MORNING I'm waving "Hi" to all. A genealogy seminar is about to begin. Guess what? Yesterday we had snow. Not all gone this morning even. But not bad really.

Hi all...my computer monitor is giving me a fit and I hope it doesn't go. I already replaced the dishwasher and the dryer and I don't need anything else to go.

1 1/2 hours ago the pool guy called to tell me he is on the way...hmmm from where?

The contractors finished painting yesterday after I almost had a meltdown with them! I hate language barriers.

It is a gorgeous day and has been for the past 4. Loving this mild weather!

Have a good day O's

Good morning, ladies. It's another west coast rainy day. Every time the dogs go out they come back in absolutely soaked. They've been playing since 7:00 and now 2 hrs later have finally settled down for a nap so I can relax and get onto the computer.

I had fun making my video. I have a lot to learn especially with the editing. But I'm going to keep it simple, just use my iphone and do a quick edit on my phone. But the worst is the audio. I have a cheap microphone which sounds really tinny. So eventually I may get a better one. I think I'm going to give up my blog which I don't think anyone really follows and I don't really take the time to post much there so why pay money for something I don't use. I'd rather post videos than run a blog.

We'll get the dogs in the car later and head over to the local butcher shop for a few packs of organic bacon end and bits. They are delicious and I've been putting them in my salads all week and snacking on them too. Plus, they are cheap. That's a bonus b/c with us switching to mostly organic grassfed meat, our shopping bill is more expensive. But it's all about balance. Spend more for some things and save on others. I want to cook up some spaghetti sauce this weekend to freeze for quick meals for Darrell. So I'll check pricing at our butcher shops today.

Chris - what a disaster with your appt yesterday. What a waste of your time. I hope today is a better day, hope you have a "dirty" day in your garden.

Nancy - have a great family time at the game today.

Jean - hi....good to hear from you! OMG....snow!!! That just sounds wrong :)

Trudy - so glad you got a chance to see the video. Was the sound really bad? It was on my computer. I'll try wearing the mike higher up. Hope you get all your shopping done and get the planning finished for the dinner for FIL.

Sharon - I can relate to your monitor woes. I have had so many problems lately that nothing surprises me now. I can't use LR and PS together now, I get memory errors, yet I have lots of ram , lots of space, and the computer is only a few months old...ugh.

Trudy - BTW....how fun to get a new tablet. I could not survive without one. I definitely would not be scrapping without one.

I'm going to get off the computer soon and get dressed b/c the dogs are going to be up and running again soon and I need to get them outside before we go shopping later.

Have a great day, everyone.

Happy happy Sunday! I am very excited for today. It is going to get up into the 60;s and you know where I am going to be! I think my plan of attack is the front patio. We have buckets from old tomato plants all over the place and yesterday I found three vinca pots that were coming back and I put them into the sun until I can figure out how to help them. Scott brought them home at the end of the season and they were root bound and almost dead. But I see green so I am gonna nurse them back. A bunch of planters are broken but I want to get the potting soil out, mix in a bit of compost to rejuvenate it. My thyme and sage are also coming back too.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that don't hurt myself out there. I got the notice that my lab tests from Feb were available and it looks like my freakishly high Rheumatoid Factor the previous month was not a lab error. It went down slightly (70-something to 60-something) but normal is <16. I am never normal, am I? Ha!!!
Maybe it went down a bit more in March. :noidea:

Before I get to go outside, I have to make the falafel mixture up for dinner tonight, one of those PITA but yummy dinners. I soaked the beans last night so I have no choice but to cook them. Then the regular stuff, laundry, food shopping list for Tuesday. Find an optometrist or two to make an appt for my eyes that might take my insurance.

I wish plenty of sunshine and joy for you all today!

Nancy- how awesome to see the last practice and I hope that the Devils beat the Islanders but good. ;) Even better though was to have the whole family together and dinner too.
You can always tell my mental state by how clean my house it hahaha!!!!! The kids would come home from school and I would be scrubbing the floor under the stove and they would know to stay clear. This was for "normal" aggravation, but *not* Tindamax, since it would hurt too much to move around and the cleaners would give me more of a headache. But stress-- clean and scrub everything!

Jean- you said the "S Word." :hurt: The last of our snow finally melted this past week. If we got more, I would fall into a puddle of tears.
How was the seminar?

Sharon- Contractors are the worst with telling you one thing just to shut you up. *fingers and toes crossed* that your monitor doesn't go. We are in that period of every darn think breaking too and it stinks. *knocks wood over and over and over*

Trudy- hope that you did everything you needed to do yesterday and that FILs dinner is a huge success!

Rae- I am going to have to check out your video soon, I am sure you are fantastic! I hope that you don't have any rain happening today so your yard and dogs dry out. :dogwalk:

good morning - well today is the last day for the NHL regular season and my team plays its last game this season in Detroit. They lost last night 4-2. My team was out shooting the Isles 14-4 when the Isles scored. They just seemed to deflate. But my DH and I had awesome seats and both my sons were bummed so they left early and met us at the restaurant. The team and fans did an awesome job of making sure that Patrik Elias knew how much he meant to both. The season went by so fast. We decided to eat after the game not before so it was fun as we did not have any time constraints. Today is just watch hockey and hopefully get some scrapping done. My son is so happy living on his own. He says not having parents nag is a joy. I laugh because I would not nag if he did not do what I have asked him not to do. But glad that he is happy.

Chris hope you had plenty of time in the dirt. It is only going to get warmer and only sprinkles a bit on Friday. It will be so awesome. Glad you have a plan!

Trudy hope the luncheon with FIL goes well. I am sure your DH kept you busy with errands.

Rae that is crazy that you cannot do both LR and PS at the same time. Computers are awesome until they are not! Have fun with the dogs.

Sharon glad your house fixing is almost done! I found it hard to have people in my house but love the results.

Have a great day all!

Snow all went away in the sunshine yesterday and it's warmer today. Hope that was the last! Seminar was great. Speaker is real expert and great speaker. Group of us had dinner with her to add extra pleasure for the day.

Chris hope you are enjoying the day in the dirt!

Nancy, well, at least you'll have no stress hockey playoffs still. You know I'm happy to have the beginning of the baseball season.

Rae, watched the video and think you did well. Didn't notice a problem with the sound. Good for you!

Trudy, wishing FIL a happy birthday party and all of you as well.

Sharon, fingers crossed the house and computer will work out for you!
