Is that a tiny bit of optimism I feel? I see some sunshine and I am not shivering. Might I actually feel a touch of Spring weather? It was horrible here yesterday, we even had sleet and hail. I couldn't get warm at all. Today is going to be a treat if we really do break 60*.

I don't know if it was the weather or cabin fever, but I was exhausted all day yesterday. When I had the time to scrap in the afternoon, I couldn't get into it. All last week, I had the urge. Now that I can scrap, I find myself totally blocked. I wanted to do the Seasonal Challenge but I have no good photos for it. Then I went to the Lyrics challenge and that was a trip! I have two "songs" but no idea of what to actually do with them. I poked around the shop, poked around my stash... nothing. No spark, no ideas.
I know that you can relate (please tell me that you can relate! ha!!)

Scott is in MD for the conference. He drove a bunch of his friends so that made me relieved. he will be back sometime on Sunday and I am looking forward to seeing how it was and what cool things that he learned.

Today, Cait is driving me to the FP and then *fingers crossed* I will be able to scrap this afternoon. I also want to see how I do on my feet a bit more today. Walking is getting easier every day. :whoo: But darn it, the incision is so itchy. Gah! I know... it means it is healing. *eye roll at myself*

I hope that the sun is shining where you are too. If not, I am sending some your way.
Love and hugs!!

Trudy- I am sorry that your day was one of those where you feel like you got nothing accomplished. And I would bet $100 that you got more done than you think that you did but that feeling is the pits no matter how you slice it.
See, you had a nice visit with your sister, a chat with your brother, 30 laps (WTG!!!)
I love the name IslandlifeAcrylics!! Happy for you.
Thanks for the good thoughts to BFF.

Kay- that is a fab amount of sleep, wow! You got a lot done too. *slaps forehead* Ugh!!! I never thought of borrowing the Outlander series from the library while I was stuck in bed. How stupid of me?! I could have requested it in advance and watched it instead of Netflix.
Anyway- I am so excited that your kids got that for you, I adore the books and love seeing all of the tweets about the series.
ITA with your thoughts on Trudy's shop name. GMTA!

Nancy- I finally got all of the tax stuff in the mail yesterday, feels good to have all of it done. I know that you understand where Gary is coming from after your men had to do the same and for a lot longer too.

Sharon- oh no, that is not good to have the water so high and the sump pump broken. We have two surface pumps and a sump pump. One storm, not one of them worked. FIL came up to let us borrow his. I hope that you don't get any more water.
Cuddling dogs is always a great idea. :pupkiss:

Rae- Is it normal to not have heard about B's acceptance into the group home? As always, I have fingers and toes and good thoughts for her.
I have been admiring all of the LOs I am seeing on FB- great to hear the lower stress scheduling is working out for you. You deserve it.

Time for me to get some breakfast.

Morning, gals. Back to waking up early... 4:30 AM today. Guess I got caught up on sleep night before last! I am going to try to stay awake until 10 or so to see if that changes the wake-up time.

I was busy most of yesterday. Finally got the laundry done and put away. Took all day to get it finished. While it was going, I changed the wiring on the MB lamp.... Yep.... the ground wire was on the wrong spot. Now it works like it should. Decided to bite the bullet and change out the socket and cord on the other MB lamp while I was at it. Couldn't get the bottom part of the socket to come off so finally after struggling with it for over 30 minutes, I elected to just change out the top parts of the socket with the new set. And I managed to get it wired correctly! Ended up with a bruised left thumb from struggling with it. So now both lamps are working like they should. Now the light is tall enough to shine on my book when I am reading in bed. :bliss:

DD#1 came over for coffee yesterday morning. Had a nice visit with her and saw her 2 new wall hangings [machine embroidered pieces]. She let me know that DGD's house sale finally closed. Her DH will start the job search now. Hate that they will be moving away but know it must be done as his job goes away later on this year. Yesterday was DSon#1's birthday. Can't believe that he is 57 now!!!

Chris, hope your mojo will come back soon. LOL over the Lyric challenge song you came up with ... then couldn't decide which kit to use with it. It took me 3 tries to come up with my lyrics then the kit just yelled "Use ME". Hope that happens for you. Yes, itching means it is healing. Glad you are able to be up longer.

Yikes, Sharon!!! Sorry your sump pump is on the fritz. Hope you didn't actually get flooded. DS#2 had his basement flood last year due to a failed sump pump... what a mess! Had several thousand dollars in damages/lost.

Rae, hope you get word about B's placement soon.

Jean, sounds like the genealogy meeting would be fun. A cousin is working on my father's family to trace it back. Also had another cousin do one for my mother's father's family but I never got a copy of it.

Coffee is gone... so time to get off the computer and get dressed. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Morning O-zies! It is very, very windy here today! Ugh more mess to pick up in the backyard AGAIN!! :mmph: Oh well it won't be done today that's for sure! It is raining and the winds are to continue all day long. A good day to just go get grocery shopping done and spend the rest of the day keeping warm and cozy inside! Yesterday was a good day, I got lots done and went off to downtown to find some supplies I needed for my paintings and wandered around Home Depot looking for this and that. I pretty much got everything on my list except for the gloves that I was looking for, they only had the large size and they are way too big for me. :pout: Oh well perhaps today I will find the ones I want. Not too exciting I know, but it makes me happy LOL I got another painting finished and love how it turned out! It is in black, gold and white, so pretty! I am now trying to get DH to build some Cradle Card Wood Canvas for me. I would love to try painting on those, but they can get pretty pricey! Also went into a shop downtown that displays local artisan pieces, its a co-op shop and if you sell there your work has to go before a jury and be accepted first, but they take 40% commision!! Really?? That is a lot! I will think about it for a while first. Not sure my work would be good enough for them either. Anyway I will continue to have fun with my paintings and my scrapping, what will be will be (as my Mother used to say).

Chris - Oh I hope that your weather is finally taking a turn for the better and that you hit 60 degrees or more today with lots of sunshine! :bliss: I often have that happen to me when I sit down to scrap a page and then "poof" no mojo whatsoever! :gaah: I hate when that happens!! Hope your trip to the FP goes well and you find everything that you need! Say hi to nice lady that works there from all of us!

Jean - I know that you will have a wonderful day with your genealogy meeting!! I hope that you learn something new and exciting! I am finally getting my DNA kit from Ancestry, DH purchased it for me for my birthday! It will be exciting to compare it to the my sisters results!

Kay - Awwww sorry to hear that you did not sleep so good last night! I was like that two nights ago, but last night slept like a log! I did not wake up until 7:30 so got a blissful 9 hours of sleep last night  I feel so good this morning! Hope that you can figure out a good time to get to bed, so that you get in a few more hours of sleep! You are so handy to be able to fix your lamps the way you do! So nice that your reading one beside your bed is at the proper height now! Bittersweet news about DGD's final sale of the house, you will miss them I know, but you have to be happy for them too! Sadly we all have to be where the job takes us!

Ok DH wants some breakfast so I better get off my butt and put another pot of coffee on too. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone, I will pop in later today to catch up with the rest of you!

good afternoon - It is a gorgeous day. I did not get up until 8:30 am. Yea! Then went for a nice walk with my DH and Luther. We went to a different park which has these gorgeous flowering trees and I was hoping they were out but nope not yet. But got a sweet photo of my DH with Luther surrounded by Forsythia. On our way there I asked my DH to take one road and he did not. Well karma struck and we were stopped by police for a police or firefighter's funeral procession. So my DH thought ok I can go around the back streets but that did not work. LOL If he had just listened. Now I am watching the women's hockey and then to watch the last game the Devils will play this season. Only two players on my team played in all 82 games. Andy Green, my captain and his defense partner Damon Severson. Really! Only two players no wonder my team did so poorly. And it is not like they are trying to lose. The only question now is whether they finish 2nd or 3rd worse team. So I guess if nothing else there will be a good draft pick. At least I still have play-offs to watch.

Chris glad you are feeling so much better! The rain yesterday was the pits but no hail or sleet by us. It should be near 70 and in fact it is now 65. Awesome. Glad that Scott got the driving sorted out. And have fun at the FP. And my DH is still doing the taxes. He keeps finding other things to do. And do go to the library and rent the DVds of Outlander.

Kay wow you were busy. I totally recommend the Outlander series. They really did a great job with her books. The series of course could not tell the depth Diana has in her books but what the do show and do is done with such care. I cant believe what a handy woman you are. My Aunt Betty was the same way. It was fun to watch her but I have too much of my mom in me as I love to sit and read and scrap while watching TV. Sounds like life is progressing for your family and I am learning change is inevitable.

Jean hi and have fun at the meeting!

Trudy how fun to have your errands done and now you can enjoy the day. Glad your Etsy shop is running. How does one find it? Do I search for your name or the shop's name. Sorry about the rain! Watching the Bruins and Lightning and not the same as players are resting but still fun.

Sharon we had so much rain from a hurricane that was not a hurricane and we lost power so the sump pump was not working but luckily our neighbor let us plug into his portable generator and saved our basement. We did have water but none of our major appliances were damaged. Hope you can find a sump pump. And have fun snuggling with the dogs.

Have a great day all!

Why I'm so darn tired?! :gaah:
Hi girls! It's my night, so maybe Good afternoon, or so?! Really I'm so tired, that I drag down and feels as my world is on slow speed. The spring fatigue hit me too bad. I wish I was able to do nothing but sleep for at least three days! But Trudy, is right, weekends are even busier than the week. We had a family garden day today. As I'm telling you before, I keep wild grass, which mean that in some parts grass is higher than other. And as I'm telling you before, everyone of us mow different part of our yard. Guess which part was grown up first?! That's right mine. So yes, I'm already given start of mowing. It could be even idyllic, if I wasn't so tired. Me mowing at the beginning of the yard then in the opposite side my dad making barbecue with the two dogs from his both sides (lashed, because is supposed to be scared by fire, but looks like no one is tell this to Biggie), which lies on the afternoon sun, so happy finally to be out. Oh and don't forget granny Hunter which tested everything, but looks like something with the marrow squash wasn't right ;) , I think she don't like veggies out of their season. Tomorrow is grocery day... not much excited.

Chris, I hope you'll have warm weather! It's awful to no have idea how to scrap, it's happened to me previous month, but when I got new kits, they gives me some of my favorite ideas, as the card for teenagers. Hope you'll find your mojo! Great that you didn't stop Scott! It sounds away, but he will have so much fun!
Aww, I hope your best friend will be fine! Sending positive vibes in her direction! This is so scary, something to happen with your eyesight.

Jean, hope in June finally to be able to present your map program! I remember you was excited about it. Maybe this is better because at summer more people will be able to come, because of the good weather! And have fun on today meeting!

Kay, yey, for the fixed lamps! Last time I broke the bulb, so I know what you mean. Happy birthday and best wishes to your son!

Trudy, aww I like the name of your store! Good luck, girl! Island theme match with the ocean abstractions, but also shows where you live, so it's clever wink. But the other idea, about TrudysfluidArt, also was cute! Love the exposition of your paintings! They are so beautiful! I started follow you :) . I will ask my sister to take a look and share some ideas about your CEO, if you want it, because she still running shop and know some tricks. Your work is absolutely fabulous, and customers will love it, you should not have any doubts!!! But honestly this is too high commission for exposition in local art shop. Is it big town with tourist?

Nancy, the dog walk sounds awesome! I have few Forsythia (or at least I think they are), but they still not bloom, till on our trip last weekend in the other region all was yellow already. Hope the next time game to be more interesting! Oh, so the aquatic therapy is group therapy, I wasn't understand that. Bad that the weather not allows you to go often that you want!

Sharon, I'm so worry about you and the thunderstorms, hopes and thoughts for no damages and less stress for your dog!

Rae, less stress is always best choice! I'm happy you are able to enjoy your time now, because you was overwhelmed for a long! Yeah, the bureaucracy is so slow, but we keep fingers crossed that B will get the best option for her!

Have a lovely weekend, girls! :fish2:

Popping in to say Hi All
I have a pretty boring life so not much news to share at the moment.

Puppy is doing well. Stitches come out on Weds so that will be nice. We bought a cone for him but he doesn't need the "cone of shame" because he does not bother the incision at all. What a good dog.

Daffs and tulips are out in full force and the cherry blossoms are as well. There is a wind today so the street is blowing cherry petals all around like pink snow.

Had coffee and a lemon bar out at the mall today at 4:00... hmm not really a good idea as now I likely won't want supper.

I managed to get 3 challenges done over that last few days in between housework. lol

Happy Sunday! Did everyone get to sleep in a bit today? I woke up a little before 6 but was about to stay in bed for another half hour. It has been nice not feeling like I have to jump out of bed to start my day. I am getting spoiled and lazy.

Caitlyn and I had fun together at the FP. She is so silly and makes me laugh. I showed her a video I saw on Twitter of a capybara farting in a bathtub and we got the giggles so bad. I know that the FP is held in the cafeteria of a church but I was brought up very strict Catholic so even there in a basement, I felt like I should be more reverent. Old habits die hard. ;)

The good news is that I was able to scrap yesterday! It took me all afternoon to do it, but I was happy with it. I am not usually one to do lots of clustering but it worked out with minimal cursing. :tape: JK!!
Scott should be home by dinner time tonight, can't wait to hear about the conference.
Other than that, I am just going to do a bit more puttering around the house and work on online food shopping again. It is worth every penny for the shopping fee. It would cost me more than that if I sent Gary with a list to do the shopping since he would come home with boxes and boxes of donuts LOL

HAGD!!!!

 Hi, Jean! Hope that the meeting was fun and informative.
Kay- I am very impressed. I wouldn't mess around with wiring ever. Nope. I leave that stuff to Gary. But :high5: to you for getting it done. Like a boss!
Happy b-day to DS#1!
I love it when a kit yells "use me" but I seem to end up getting lost in the shop more often than not lately.

Trudy- *whispers about how much I wish I could be outside picking up the backyard mess... soon, Faery... soon...*
Sorry to hear that it was so windy and rainy all day. Good job getting everything you needed from Home Depot, sans gloves. What is Cradle Card Wood Canvas?

Nancy- your forsythia has bloomed already?? *peeks out window* Nope, not here, not even close. It is always so strange that we live so close but the weather is so different.
I can't say that I blame your DH about procrastinating over taxes. I just want to know *why* they can't put the boxes of a W-2 in order. Why is Box 2 before Box 1? Why is 13 to the left of 12?

Felis- add me to the so darn tired list too. I forgot that you get the spring slowdown since I usually get the waking up feeling.

You live in Bulgaria, right? This week's episode of Whiskey Cavelier took place in Bulgaria and while I know they weren't actually in your country if your country is as pretty and quaint as what was shown, it is very nice. Of course, I know that TV isn't very representative of real life. We were watching a TV show where parts were supposed to be in Hawley and Lakeville, Pennsylvania. That is where my parents' lake house is, Lakeville specifically. To say that it wasn't even *close* to what it looks like is an understatement. haha!!

Karen- so good to hear that Joey is doing ok. We have had to deal with the cone of shame so many times and it *never* works. W was able to wiggle herself out of it. J was more anxious with it on and it made her want to pace, which was bad after knee surgery. But he is a very good boy! Give him some more belly runs, please.
So jealous of your flowers too!! Coffee and a lemon bar sounds like a perfect dinner to me :)

Hugs!

Morning everyone! Hooray the sun is out today, well so far anyway lol. DH is on his computer downstairs and me on mine upstairs. The house is very quiet, it is usually noisy when DH is home as he likes every TV in the house to be on. He turns them on and then leaves the room :gaah: what is with that?? Yesterday I got the downstairs vacuumed and did the grocery shopping and spent the afternoon mixing paint, so hopefully I can get a couple of paintings done today. I am sure if the weather stays nice today we will also be in the backyard picking up more branches and pinecones :mmph: Seems like we just get the yard all nice and cleaned up then Mother Nature decides to mess it up again. :becky:

Chris - I am happy to hear that you got to stay in your nice warm bed and not have to jump up to get the day going! Nothing wrong with feeling lazy and spoiled, you deserve it my friend! When do your stitches come out? It must be pretty soon! I hope that your blossoms will be out very soon and you can then get out for some dirt therapy! Oh and here is what a cradle wood canvas is... https://www.amazon.ca/American-Ease...=B00486U1TM&psc=1&refRID=J1Z08A3QPZZD02TX90WV. I would love to work on a few of these but they can get pretty expensive and just thought that DH could probably make these for a lot less $$. Hope that Scott has some good things to tell you about his conference, can't wait to hear also! Funny about you feeling guilty while laughing in the church basement, I am sure no one would mind LOL.

Rae- I hope that you hear soon about "B"'s placement and that it will be a wonderful thing for her! It is good that you are enjoying all your scrapping and your time away from the internet, it sounds like it is doing a world of good for you!

Felis - Hope that you are feeling less tired in the days ahead! Of course your's would be the first lawn that would need mowing!! Murphy's law you know! It is good that everyone could be outside and enjoying the warm sunshine, especially all your fur babies! I would love some good tips for Etsy and I know I need to add more tags to my stuff in the shop. I am slowly working on it so that it will get seen more, its just a bit overwhelming for me. Thanks for following me and I will post a link to my store here once I have everything loaded up to it.

Nancy - Was it just DH and I or was the officiating of the Bruins game very one sided :mmph: Oh well it was a nothing game anyway, but still looked like they were out to hurt our players! Glad we did not play our best guys! Also glad that Toronto lost to the Habs!! I will post a link to my Etsy shop soon, I promise! Nice that you want to check it out! Hope you will enjoy the playoffs, it will be interesting to see what the officiating will be like :becky:

Karen - Happy to hear that your Joey is doing so well! Good boy for not bothering with the incision!! Hopefully it will not be so windy today and that there will be blossoms left on the trees to enjoy! My Camellia Bush is out in bloom now and my tulips, so pretty!! Next will be the Rhodos and the Azalea's I love those so much!

Ok everyone I need another cup of coffee and then start the :washing: hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!

good afternoon - well my Devils won their last game. I am watching the women's hockey - today is USA vs Switzerland. And while watching saw that two NHL teams have fired their coaches Buffalo and Florida. There must be 7 teams not in the playoffs and now without coaches. On Tuesday the NHL will have it show which determines the order in the draft. My team finished 29 out of 31 and has an 11% chance of moving up. I just hope they do not move down. Got out for a great walk with Luther, about 1.5 miles. The weather is gorgeous, 66 degrees! My daffodils are blooming and the trees are budding and the magnolia are just about out! So glad that spring seems to be coming. Also got a lot of scrapping done. It feels really good to be getting the Alaska trip album done.

Chris so glad you stayed in bed and rested! The FP sounds so fun - you and Cait have such fun too! But I don't think I would feel guilty in the basement. Bet you cant wait to hear Scott's new adventure at the conference!

Trudy perhaps Mother Nature is saying you are trying to hard to keep your yard perfect. LOL And yes as much as I think the refs and linesmen try to be impartial I don't think they are. It was that way when the Devils played the Carolina as I think everyone wanted the Hurricanes in the playoffs and the Devils were eliminated. As much as Marchand has changed I still feel he is not going to get a break with calls. And yes the Lightning to hurt players as last year Kutcherov hit my defensemen in the head and there was not call and Players Safety did nothing. Have fun painting or scrapping!

Felis sorry you are tired. I find the sunshine makes me happy! How fun to be out with all your dogs! Of course your lawn grew first as I am sure you take care of it the best. Have fun scrapping with the new kits! And yes the aquatic therapy this time is called wellness therapy which means you go and do the exercises that you did before but the therapists are not there to be that but just to not let drown. LOL

Karen glad that Joey is doing so well. And glad that spring is springing in your area!

Rae glad you are enjoying the new time schedule. Hope you find out about B soon.

Have a great day all!
