Happy weekend!!!!!!
We made it, April is just about all done, May is almost here. Now if I could only get the weather to cooperate a bit LOL
I am grateful for the sunshine at least, even if it is chilly out. It would feel much worse if it were raining. Scott and I had a lovely day to drive to PA. He did all of the driving which was nice. We had three hours of good conversation. My dad was in great form, he and Scott got a ton of work done outside and I did a good job inside if I do say so myself. I am feeling it today however :D

This morning is the FP- and after that, no clue what I am going to do. I will have to see if I am feeling up to working outside or if I will hang about inside. It is the end of the month so there are plenty of Cheery O tasks I need to do. So the big decision is if I will be more stiff sitting and doing nothing or moving around picking up sticks and rocks?

I am going to try and catch up with all of your posts over the last couple of days-- I am very sorry if I miss something thoug.

Love to you all

@LSlycord Not sure if you will see this before you leave, but I am so excited for you and your family!!! Have a wonderful time, take a lot so pictures, and come back with fun stories to share here xoxoxoxo!!!

@tanteva My family usually asks me to buy more bananas than they eat b/c they know they will end up in the freezer if they don't get eaten. Pretty soon you will have a huge bag of them too. They've never gone bad or gotten freezer burn either.
How did you do with ducluttering the CDs and DVDs?

@felis those mice are so adorable TFS!!

@taxed4ever yay for non-grey hair! That reminds me I *must* make my appt soon. I should get my eyebrows shaped too. I never pay any attention to them until my cousin was telling me how her DD was making fun of how she did hers-- the same way I do mine. Old school 1980s hahahah!
Hope that you and your Gary are getting stuff done but also finding time to sit and relax with some wine.

@bcgal00 In your face oil research, did you find anything on undereye bags and circles?? That is what my biggest "aging" issue is. Its been so nice to see so many bird photos on your FB page too.

@Cherylndesigns nope- it is never going to be spring. *sobs* I have the allergies but not the temps!
Oh no!!!! How are you doing after your fall?? We all need bubble wrap. Think we can make that a clothing trend? ;)

@BrightEyes Hope that you are feeling a lot better today too

Linda-- truth!! I used to wear 5" spike heels every darn day! Now I live in my sneakers and orthotics bwahaha!!

From Friday:
Thank you all very much for the good thoughts about my mom, I know it was a huge step for her to schedule the surgery.

@BrightEyes Have the winds died down yet? NJ has been under fire warnings all week too. Hope that you get some rain asap

Hugs!!

Decluttering is moving forward, slowly (but we're in no rush). We've decluttered a box of CDs. I have some Christian music CDs, that I will ask a friend if she wants, the rest we will donate to the thrift store. Gone through the DVDs as well, but I haven't packed the one we don't want yet. Then we've decided to sort the rest into 2 categories: The one's we want to keep in alphabetical order, and then in a pile (maybe shelf) of their own: movies we need to see before we decide to keep or donate. Oh, and a third pile: Urban has a lot of Ingmar Bergman movies on single DVDs, that he needs to compare with a box of Ingmar Bergman movies that he also has (just to check if there are differences, like extra material and such).

Today is Valborgsmässoafton - the traditional day to celebrate spring here in Sweden. Found an article in English here: https://www.swedishfood.com/walpurgis
We might go watch one of the bonfires tonight, but it's kinda chilly ... we'll probably end up in the sofa with Netflix instead. Currently continuing with Blacklist (I'm re-watching Stranger Things on my own).

Not planning any fancy dinner. Bought some vegetarian kebab strips and will make fries & a yoghurt sauce with garlic.

Good morning ladies. I woke up to two little dog paws resting on my forehead LOL. I sleep on two pillows and Remi gets up behind my head, sleeping on one pillow while I slide down and get a pillow with a bit of the other underneath. Then her tail thumps loudly as I say good morning and then the slurpy kisses start. What a way to wake up LOL. Taz sleeps down around my knees/feet and just ignores us, getting in a few more minutes of sleep as Remi and I snuggle.

Today I'm heading out for more clothes hangers, Jen is painting the final coat on my dressers. We never found any barnwood at a good price so I decided to just stick to white and I'll get some new handles today for them. Chores, scrapping and dog park is on the itinerary today.

We now have about 35 sparrows that hang out in our backyard and in the evergreen trees. What a lovely sound to listen to all day.

Dinner today is a one pan meal of chicken (for Darrell) and chickpeas for me, potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower tossed in parmesan spice and seasoned pepper with a side salad.

@faerywings Glad you had a good drive with Scott. Don't overdo it today b/c it sounds like you did a lot yesterday.

I'm getting another coffee, then shower and get on with my day.

Blacklist is so good! I've loved James Spader since Sex, Lies & Videotapes.

Morning everyone, it is pouring rain!! Bet you don't miss that @bcgal00 !! Hope that you are having much drier weather than we are! It is grocery shopping day and other than that not much else going on. Too wet to be outside, so I need to find some kind of chore/project for DH to do so he stays out of my hair LOL. I will be getting some baking done, for DH's breakfasts during the week and catching up a bit more here at the O, for the end of the month things. A few bills to pay and some laundry to keep me busy for most of the day. Oh what boring lives we live!! Yesterday we decided to finally order the new mattress that we have been needing for quite some time. Sure hope we don't have to wait as long as we are for the kitchen tables and chairs!! Yes, we are still waiting!! .

@faerywings - It sounds like you had a very nice day with your Dad and Scott! Isn't it wonderful that they have such a great relationship!! Lots of work got done, but sorry you overdid it a bit and now are stiff and sore. Hopefully you can work the kinks out and get to be outside. Come on warmer weather!! When will you ever show up?? Good luck at the FP this morning! I hope that they have some nice goodies for you today!

@bcgal00 - Thats too bad you could not find the old barn wood that you were looking for, but I bet your new dressers will still look great! What a fun way to wake up LOL!! I used to wake up to my cat sitting on my head or on top of my neck. I miss him! But not the mouth full of cat hair I would get LOL. How lovely to have the sparrows in your yard! I bet they give you some great music to listen to. Do you have a Value Village near you? I know you used to get some great clothing from there. Perhaps you have found some other fun shopping places in your new area?

@tanteva - You have been busy with your de-cluttering and your DH sounds like he must be a big Ingmar Bergman fan!! Sounds like he was a great director!! I started reading about him, but need to check him out further. Have fun with your Valborgsmässoafton celebration, hope that you are getting some spring weather to go along with the holiday!

Ok DH has requested an Omelette for brunch today, so I will grab another coffee and get busy with that! Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon ladies! We are at the Jacksonville Airport waiting for our flight. We had uploaded passports and vaccine cards but they didn’t accept the kids vaccine cards. I think that it may have been because the boosters for the kids are recorded on the back instead of the front. We tried calling customer service but they couldn’t help. However, we got to the airport early and worked with the nicest people checking in. We were at the front of the line for TSA. And we had lunch and are now sitting around relaxing.

@faerywings it sounds like yesterday was perfect. Isn’t it nice to be chauffeured rather than the one doing the chauffeuring? I’m glad that your day was so productive and I am so happy that your mom is getting that pacemaker soon. Thanks for the good wishes. We already have a photo for a fun layout. Brian and I both decided to wear slides through airport security to make it easier. Of course, pretty humiliating for the kids! Lol—but they are good sports and Shaun suggested a photo with all of our feet. I then posted to Instagram and said I didn’t know why Shaun and Syd wore slides for international travel. Then I added LOL. Sydney asked if I was sure people would know that was a joke.

@taxed4ever I hear you about finding a project for DH. I have to do that for Brian sometimes…otherwise he just sits right beside me interrupting whatever I am doing.

@bcgal00 so glad that the birds are coming to your feeder!

@tanteva your decluttering is amazing. I would have quit about 2 weeks ago.

i will catch up as time allows. ((Hugs to all))

Been a buy day already. Up and on the computer early... lots of CT work finishing up April and getting ready for the May stuff. Got a couple more Color Play LOs done and uploaded. And then getting ready for iNSD the end of next week!!! Busy, busy, busy!

Then I realized that I had to mail some bills out as this the last day of April!!! Grabbed a quick shower then off and running to get them to the Post Office. I was going to stop at the library (next door to PO) but they have changed their hours and are closed on Saturday now (instead of Mondays). Came home and decided to cut my hair. Wet it down and then combed it forward toward my face and cut it. Next time Chari is down, I will have her do a bit of trim on the back neckline. This is it with just letting it air dry. If I blow-dry it it will have a bit more lift to it. Nice to have it where I can wash and go especially in the hot weather.

Off to do some more scrapping. Will catch up with you all in May!!! LOL ;):D:)

Good afternoon my lovelies.

Beautiful day here - 74 currently - boo hiss to your "spring weather" @faerywings!! It will come - it will come - it will come. Jump up and click your heals together like Dororthy in Wizard of Oz and repeat that. On second thought - DONT!!! Too many of us falling right now!! I looked on amazon and they don't have any bubble wrap suits yet but we could make our own. Way too hot though. BWAHAHA

I'm feeling "normal" today - thank goodness. I've been outside planting all of my sweet baby herbs. They're SO cute and I talked to them all and praised them all the while I was putting them in the ground. As soon as they perk up, I'll take pics. They're always droopy right at first.

Sadly, I didn't get to go to the Festival. We were going today, but Roger has covid and I'm not going to be around any of them, even outside. I had a feeling he had it - 103 fever chills, the whole ball of wax. He just got home from Florida, so no doubt picked it up on the plane or before he left. Oh dear, will that horrible stuff never go away? I could have gone alone, but have no idea where to park and they attracted in the high 100's of visitors yesterday and expecting double that today. There's designated parking and shuttles and I'm not up to tackling that alone. Plus, I'd have trouble finding them. Today is supposed to be huge and I hated to miss it, but I'll live. LOL I REALLY wanted to see all of the Cherokee demonstrations that were going on today, but I know Ava will take lots of pics for me. The new Cherokee Center in town JUST opened and we're going there as soon as the crowds die down The Trail of Tears ended in this area and they have a lot of exhibits there.

I decided to have a planting day instead.

I've had lots of CT things to do and with INSD starting, I need to stay on top of everything.

Hugs to all.

Eva @tanteva Happy Valborgsmässoafton!!

Helloooo! I am really late for me, 8.30 am. I am just so dang tired. Another night of tossing and turning, both shoulders are always so stiff when I try to sleep. My brain is sure feeling fuzzy.

In spite of all my trying to stay organized, I messed up my calendar yesterday. FP is next week- didn't realize until I got there and no one was there. blergh
But that was fine, I got home and got the house tidied and then spent a few hours in the back cleaning the rest of the leaves off of the little garden areas. Every year I forget what and where I have moved things- totally forgot that I have some liriope near one of the tree stumps. They spread really well and I could split more of them if I need to fill in some more places. Which I do. I always do. *looks out the window and sees another area in the back that can use some flowers*
It doesn't seem like my rosemary or my lavender are going to come back. I am so disappointed, the lavender especially was huge. I will give them another week or so before I rip them out. Every the optimist hahahaha One of the mints plants in a pot is also not looking good. January was exceptional;y cold and I think that just did do much of them in. Mint can typically survive a nuclear bomb ;) Post-apocalypse-- tons of cockroaches running around with very fresh breath bwuahahah!!

It looks like today is going to be like yesterday-- sunny and cool but not cold and windy. I am sure I will get outside at some point. I never did any of the end/beginning of the month Cheery O tasks so that ios going to be first up.

Have a fab day!!

@tanteva Happy Belated Valborgsmässoafton (Yes, 100% copy and pasted that! LOL) I remember reading about that in the Swedish books that you recommended last year, the girls who had to save the world.
I am really impressed with you and Urban and the decluttering. Gary's "attempt" at decluttering yesterday was to put two water guns at the end of the driveway if anyone wants to take them (Still there today *eye roll* )
Hope you guys enjoyed the night if you went out or stayed in.

@bcgal00 That is a nice way to wake up with little paws on you- as long as they weren't kicking you. The other night I was trying to figure out if I was having a hot flash or if it was just Whisky giving off a ton of heat as she was laying practically on top of me. It is nice to snuggle with warm puppies.
I am sure that the dresser looks fab in white.
I knew you would make new bird-friends very fast :)

@taxed4ever I was thinking of you the other day, my ILs got an InstaPot and were bragging about it. They agreed though, looking at my kitchen there is no counter space. I guess I remembered that when you said that you were doing baking and food prep. Congrats on the new mattress!!!
It is very nice that my kids have such good relationships with all of the g-parents. Who knows, maybe someday they will change their minds and I will get to have g-kids of my own. I'd like that. Bit if I get g-dogs and g-rats, that is also fine heh

@LSlycord hahahah, you are too much! Your poor kids and the slides on IG. Have a fab trip!!!!!!!

@BrightEyes see, you are being a responsible Cheery O, getting your end/beginning of the month stuff taken care of. Unlike me.
Wow, you did a great job with your hair!! Looking good!!

@Cherylndesigns I tried to do the jump and click my heels recently and almost fell over so I will do that in my head LOL No way do I want to fall over like the rest of ya. :D
It had to have been a photoshop picture, but I saw on FB a woman pushing a potted plant in a baby carriage and I thought of you!
Apparently last autumn was this huge maple tree seeding event - some years we get inundated by acorns, last fall it was maple seeds. It kills me to have to weed all of the tiny sprouts. It isn't like they are going to make it anyway but still makes me sad
Poor Roger- how is he feeling today? So sorry that you missed the festival but it seems like the right decision.

xoxoxo

I know I'm always complaining about ALL holidays and stuff, but I think I have one I hate the most. May is torture in the scrapping community with all the Mother's Day themed kits and challenges. It's not that I envy those who have lovely mothers, it's just so frustrating that it's so NOT allowed to not love your mother.

As of tomorrow, I'm not working Thursday anymore, but Mondays. It will be great for us. Urban always closes on Mondays, and the woman he has been working with on Mondays is retiring. And our boss is the best! She rearranged things, so that me and Urban closes together on Mondays. This means Urban doesn't have to work late 2 days a week anymore, since he's always stayed late on Thursdays as well, so I could get a ride home. I do work some other days from time to time, but mainly, it will be Mondays from now on.

Almost finished with the DVDs/blurays. It takes a bit longer, cuz Urban is way more involved in the sorting. Plus we have so many movies that we need to watch before we decide what to do. And duplicates that needs to be checked. But we will get rid of a lot. Friends have asked why we have so many movies, cuz everything is available on-line. But ... I just noticed, one of my favorite shows aren't on Netflix any more! I wanted to see it again. :( Also - there are sooo many new streaming services now ... some of them are bound to disappear. There just can't be a market for all of them to survive.

Now, I need to come up with dinner. I have no idea what we should eat today ... and dinner should basically be ready already. These are the days when I usually make spaghetti. Better go start boiling water. LOL

Awake at way too early this morning. The eyes popped open at 4:30AM!!! Of course, that could be because I fell asleep at 9 PM last night. Been busy getting things squared away for the new month CT wise. Yes, @faerywings, I got my tracking for April done and the May one started. And got the LO for Rae's Sunshine collab posted everywhere. Always makes me feel like the month is off to a good start when I get the 1st LOs of the month out there. The back is still a bit achy and the right ankle is still black and blue and a bit tender when I do very much walking on it.

Thanks for all the kind words about the new haircut. Love that it only took a few swipes of the brush to have it looking okay this morning!! :p And I can always use the curling iron on it if I need a 'fancy' look to it.

I'm multitasking now.... having warm buttered cinnamon bread slices with coffee while I post. I keep forgetting to have breakfast when I am on the computer a lot of mornings. I lost another 2 lbs this past week... not that THAT is a bad thing... but some days I don't think about eating until late in the afternoon! That isn't good.

Chris, I had to LOL over you forgetting that FP is not opened... just like I did with the public library not opened on Sat! Sorry you are aching a bit from all you have done this week. So good that you got the trip with Scott and your dad and cleaned that house. Hope that all goes well with your Mom's pacemaker surgery.

Wow... bet @LSlycord and the family are having fun now. That is a trip of a lifetime.

@tanteva So nice that you and Urban can both work the late shift on Monday. Easier when you can do it together. Happy Belated Valborgsmässoafton (yes, I copied it too). I like that we learn about holidays in other countries through our chats.

@Cherylndesigns, hope you are feeling better now. Yes, I think we need a bubble-wrap suit but agree it would be too hot. We have been getting up to the 80*'s most days now. Nice to be able to turn the heat off finally. Haven't been able to open the house up due to the high winds that are blowing every day plus some of the smoke from the fires. Sorry to hear that OK is also dealing with fires. Everything is so tender dry all over the southwest. I am so sorry to hear that Roger has Covid. Yes, seems like there are more outbreaks again. Still wearing my mask when I have to go out. Sorry to hear you didn't get to go to the Pow Wow but that is too many people to take a chance. There is the huge Pow Wow celebration here in Albuquerque, too. 1st time in 2 years that it is happening.

Wishing a Happy May Day to everyone.

Good morning ladies. Slept in (7:30). Grabbed a coffee, let the dogs out and watched ma and pa sparrow go in and out of their birdhouse, building their nest. Looking forward to baby birds to watch, hopefully. We see lots of birds trying to take over the birdhouse. It's entertaining to watch. They hop around on the fence and squawk at other birds that come too close. One bird went inside and got chased away quickly by ma and pa sparrow.

Today I have CT work to do, house chores, organizing and unpacking (yes, it is still ongoing, we had so many boxes, it was crazy). I think I'm down to the last 25 or so. Jen and I will take the dogs to the park for a swim later.

@faerywings I had to laugh at the remark about cockroaches with fresh breath LOL.

@taxed4ever No, we don't miss the rain at all. In the month we've been here it lightly rained one afternoon for a few hours and then a few days it sprinkled for about 15 minutes. We do have a value village here that is quite large and very clean and spacious. I don't think I will go often b/c now that I have a dressing room and am putting away all my clothes, I see how much I have. Since I used to have them stored in bins and different areas of the house, I never realized how much I had acquired in the 4 yrs or so after losing weight. It's insane LOL. I have been donating some back b/c I have more than I will ever wear. We live a boring life too and am thankful for it :)

@tanteva I've been a fan of James Spader in his early films and then loved him in Boston Legal. He has a magnetic personality and is perfect for his role on Blacklist.

@LSlycord Sounds like the adventure has begun :) Enjoy it.

@BrightEyes Looks like an easy carefree hairstyle. Looks great.

@Cherylndesigns Did you get all the gardening done? I'm planting a honeysuckle today.

I'm off to post my LO for the collab around digi-land now and get the word out about it. I know Bailey is smiling down on us. She loved to help and donate to others so having the proceeds from the collab going to the encephalitis research would make her heart happy.

@bcgal00 I just love how he can express so much with such minimalistic face expressions. Very talented actor.

I just realized, you probably are watching season 9? We're still on season 8. It's another streaming service that shows the series first here in Sweden, then it comes on Netflix. It's so hard. Wanted to google something yesterday, but I had to stop, cuz I realized there where spoilers EVERYWHERE.

Good afternoon lovelies.

It's another pretty day - 74 right now. Not as warm as your weather, though, Kay @BrightEyes - I hate it that I missed the festival and pow-wow it's the first time in at least 2 years they've had it here, too. Oh well, I'm a little bummed, but I'll get over it. I was SO looking forward to it. I'm not very adventurous these days and had no idea where to park/get the shuttle, etc. Plus, I'm still wary of big crowds and since Roger got has covid, it brought that fear back.

One of the people, at his work in FL texted him that she had it and he was sick, so thought he'd better test and of course, as you already know, he has it. This is the 3rd time he's had it and he got the vaccine. He didn't get the booster, but he got the one-shot vaccine. Anyway, we're staying away from them - hoping that Adrienne or none of the kids get it. They ALL had it in Florida before we moved! They had it bad, too! Adrienne got it first, then the others. That was when it first hit and everything locked down. We self-isolated and started having everything delivered - even our groceries. That's when I found out I REALLY was a hermit. BWAHAHA I only went for walks around the neighborhood - Daisy and I walked 2 or 3 times a day. People was so paranoid that they'd cross the street to not encounter each other. Those were crazy time. Then they thought that dogs could carry it and people were afraid to pet dogs. i-yi-yi-yi

Chris @faerywings glad you didn't try the Dorothy thing. LOL We don't need you to be a member of our group. NOT good!

LOL that you thought of me pushing the plant in a baby carriage. BWAHAHA "My babies" look good today! I fed them all Miracle Grow - we have one of those feeders attached to the hose, so we can switch it to feed or just water. Handy Dandy!! You'd love seeing me out there smelling them. Hahaha

Okay, I'm off to see the wizard - j/k "throwback to Dorothy".

Happy Sunday all.

Good evening ladies. Or afternoon. Who even knows! I fell asleep at 8:00 pm Amsterdam time. And now I’m up at midnight. Syd and I are sharing a bed and we are both wide awake now.
We had a good first day. We walked from the train station with all of our luggage and then took a short nap. Then spent the afternoon walking around shops and exploring the area. We had a late afternoon meal and then we took a canal boat ride. Got to see the city and hear about its history. Then finished it off with some sweets on our way back to the hotel.

My oldest niece came in from Chicago to dog sit. She brought her 11 year old chihuahua. And the three dogs are getting along great. They are all sleeping with her so she has moved from the guest bedroom to our bedroom which is a king so that they can all spread out. No pet guilt is the best!

@BrightEyes I love your hair. Are the wildfires near you or your family? I hope not.

@Cherylndesigns I am sorry that you missed the festival but I am sure that your herbs loved your attention.

@tanteva how nice that they aligned your schedule with Urban’s.

@faerywings very glad that you gave up on the clicking of your heels! No more injuries.

well, I’m going to try to go to sleep. Wish me luck!
