Whoa. Just whoa. I cannot believe that it is really the last weekend in April. No way. I am not ready for May/June yet!!

But, one really good thing for today is that I slept like a *rock* last night. And I slept until 7.30! Crazy, right??
I needed it since I was is bad shape yesterday. I ended up taking one of the migraine pills in the morning but the pain still leaked through. I got what I needed at the warehouse and then we met up with Cait at the diner for some lunch. When I got home, I rested for a bit. I read a book, crocheted, then gave up and closed my eyes for a while. Then I got lectured by the family at dinner about how the Tindamax isn't working (as in only making me feel worse, but not getting better). I don't know anymore. My pain levels are way down from what they were. The fatigue and brain fog seems the same.
We see Dr. F on Tuesday so we will see what she says.

I have no real plans this weekend which is nice. Right now the sun is out even though the forecast says rain. I will want to get outside, see if that lifts my energy/mood. Maybe that will, in turn, lift my scrapblock too. Cait and I might run over to TJ MAXX at some point. I didn't get to look at any gifts for anyone yesterday so I am going to try to do that today.
The kids want to do some family games this afternoon too and Gary is making his penne and vodka for dinner. Yum.

Hope that everyone has a great day!

Nancy- I really have to look into the coconut milk rice-- that sounds really good! Glad that you were able to sleep in after a long night of hockey. Were you more successful on your errands than I was?

Trudy- no!! No colds/sinus issues for you! Feel better. I think some of my headache issues are allergy related too, especially since my eyes have been itching like crazy as well.
That is not surprising that the wreath looks better, you have such a good, artistic eye.
Awww, the soccer jerseys numbers made my heart just melt. Heartwarming to hear how he is blossoming and coming out of his shell. Is Heather friendly with the other moms, will they help keep an eye out for Mason too?
Good luck scrapping the hiking LO. I hope that the Anna video helps you more than it did for me.

Rae- you must be very patient and have extremely steady hands to get those photos of the birds. I am sad that I have neither. Such a relief to hear that B had a good day, any news on the transfer yet?
I have kefir grains still if I ever decide to start that up again. It is too bad that it was something that had to be taken care of every day to feed them. I felt like I was really helping myself by drinking it. My fingers are crossed that the goats milk kefir does wonders for Taz.

Jean- what program do you scrap with again? I was working on a challenge (thankfully Ona took it over for me) but I wanted to use gradients and never know what programs are capable of using what tools/techniques.
Gary had me laughing about voting. We got our mail-in ballots and there was only one Primary that had a challenger. I wasn't going to waste the money on the stamp since i figured it wouldn't matter. He reminded me that every vote counts because you just never know... threw my words right back at me LOL

Better get some breakfast before it is noon! xoxo!

Morning ladies! Back to grey and cloudy skies, but the rain hasn't really started yet :mmph: Oh well I enjoyed the last sunny day and was outside for a bit. DH cut the grass when he got home from work and I was sitting out on the top deck when the wind started to pick up and man was it chilly! You could see the rain clouds moving in from down the valley so it was time to go in and warm up. I made homemade pizza for DH and I made myself a FatHead Pizza for myself :hungry: They were both delicious! So nice to be able to have a crust for my pizza now. It is made with mozza cheese, cream cheese, egg and almond flour and is bakes up so nicely! Today will be an early grocery shopping trip and then home to watch the Bruins play (hopefully win) and then we will go back out to finish off our errands etc.

Chris - I am sorry that the Tindamax does not seem to be working for you  Perhaps your dr. will find something else that will help! I think that my sinus problem is because of the pollen there are stupid amounts of it this year and everyday we have to blow off the powder from the decks etc. Feeling a bit better this morning, no more sore throat. I have a spray that I purchased from a friend of my sisters that works amazingly well. Its made with Echinacea, Calendula, Sage and Lavender. Bonus that it doesn't taste too bad either LOL. I am still working on my hiking page and need to do two more when I finally get this one done. At the rate I am going it will take a couple of weeks before I finish LOL. Hope that you get to be outside today before the forecast changes yet again. Heather txt me in the afternoon saying that Mason was out for most of the day playing basketball with all the kids, he is pooped by the end of the day, so nice!

Rae - So happy to hear that you are getting the Rufous hummers, they are so very pretty and the other day my brother was holding one in his hands as it must have hit the glass window on the patio and got stunned. He warmed it up and then it flew away, so nice! He sent me some pics of it and so I will try to get it posted here for you. Your photos are amazing! I hope that you have a nice visit with B this weekend, so nice that she loves you come to see her! I am still keeping my fingers crossed that she will get the transfer!

Jean and Felis I will try to pop in later to catch up with you both. DH is wanting to get going so I best get some breakfast and coffee started. Have a great Saturday everyone!

good late morning - we are having a gorgeous spring day! The sun has come out after some early fog and the walk with Luther was so fun! Saw my first warble a black and white warbler on the walk. I am happy that I am starting to see them. Of course the leaves are coming out which will make it super hard to see them later. Oh well at least I know they are coming north! Also the early wild flowers are blooming and they are so pretty. Now continues as full day of hockey. The US is in the U18 championship semifinals so watching that. Then at 3pm is Tampa vs Boston and then at 8pm is Vegas Golden Knights vs Sharks. This is so much fun so much hockey. And yesterday the Devils player Taylor Hall found out his was nominated for both the Hart Trophy and the Ted Lindsey Trophy. The Hart Trophy is determine by the hockey writers while the Lindsey is determined by the NHL players. So it is pretty sweet for my team's player to be recognized this way! He is one of 3 players nominated and won't find out until the hockey awards in June. Also my trip to Sweden is all set. I have the room and flights and tickets to the game. So excited. My sister and I are going and going to spend a week in the city. We had thought about doing more then we decided that with the little time we would rather not spend time in airports and changing hotels.

Chris enjoy today's weather and I too cant believe that it is the last week of April. Wow. I think it has not sinked in as the weather has not felt like April. But I think our weather is on the right track. Have fun playing games. How nice that your DH is cooking. I hope the doctor can give you good advice. I saw the news about a new tick. That is all we need.

Trudy seems so strange to think you are getting the game at lunch time. Go Bruins. The Lightning just seem so smug! But the NHL needed to tell Marchand to stop licking players - that just cracked. At least not a suspension. My pet peeve during the playoffs is how the refs don't call penalties and to me that just makes the players play rougher which has lead to all the suspensions during these playoffs. Go Bruins!

Rae I have been seeing your hummingbird photos - you are so lucky! I so miss them. Glad that you and Jen and Bailey had such a good night. Thanks for the recipe with the chicken and coconut milk.

Jean yes it is strange that my kids don't follow but with the all the fighting between the two parties and then the nasty things said I think it just has turned them off. But I do work on them.

Felis hope you are having a great weekend.

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies. Finished my morning workout. It feels good to be back into weight lifting again. It's been about 3 wks since I started back up and it now feels like part of my normal routine. I got an early morning photo of the smallest hummingbird baby (his beak is about 1/3" long, so tiny. I saw him yesterday quite a few times but he only stays a few seconds, his little body doesn't need much nourishment, and then he flies back down under the stairs. The photo is terrible, its raining and it was still dark out but at least I got a pic of him, so I'm pretty happy with it. I don't know how quickly they grow so I was afraid I'd not get a shot of him while still so tiny.

Today I will be making banana bread and then up to the hospital for the afternoon. I'm putting some chicken breasts/stock in the crockpot and then later, when we come home for dinner, I'll be roasting veggies and making some chicken/veggie soup for my lunches for the week and will bring some up to B.

Tomorrow morning I'll be heading out early for the VV 50% sale and then heading up to the hospital after that, but I'll come back and check in later in the day when I come home.

Chris - so sorry to hear how poorly you are feeling. Hope you get to relax over the wkend and glad to hear that G will make dinner. Have fun playing family games later.

Nancy - enjoy the games today. I'll have to go google warbler b/c I'm not sure what they look like. I hope to get out to the sanctuary sometime soon to photograph the birds and enjoy a long walk. Birds really lift my spirits!

Trudy - D was out cutting the grass yesterday too, knowing the rain was coming. It took a few tries b/c the grass had gotten so long, with all this rain we've gotten. I would have liked to have gotten out to trim the bushes this wkend but doesn't look the weather will cooperate. Thats amazing that your brother held a hummer. They fascinate me so much. Enjoy the game today.

Jean, Felis, everyone else....hope you are all well.

Time to hop in the shower and get things done so we can head out to the hospital. Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning girls,
it's a quiet and pretty usual weekend here. My sister is back from her vacation, which was pretty exciting for me, because we are together whole the time and she really missed to me. But sad for her, because no one likes when the good time ended so fast. That makes me also to realize, how less time past few years we are start to spend with our friends, occupied too much in work and chores, which is sad, but it's a part of the life trail, I guess. Personally I never would want to change my countryside life for the big city again, it was enough for me! But living here keep us away from so many things that we love like theaters and galleries, diners with the old friends and ect. I'm not meet my old roommates from years, always promises for next summer, but actually never plan it on real. So it was really nice that she could just to go with her friends for a while! She told me that we are switch, because in past she was the strict and I the impulsive, but now is the opposite :) .
But hey, person with a dozen cats can't just jump on a train only with one book and few underwear. Oh, what the times was :heh: !

Chris, I'm sorry to hear that meds don't do they work! Hope the dr can find another one better for you! Did you found gift for Gary? Did Cait received her new glasses?!

Trudy, you makes me so hungry! I'm a fan of home made pizza too, with much tomato and few kind of cheeses.

Nancy, YEY! for the Sweden trip, I'm so happy you'll could watch this game, because I know how much you wanted it!

Rae, such adorable story about the hummingbird baby! These photos, even not perfect, still must be so interesting!

Jean, !

PS. I forgot to tell that I'm sorry that both Trudy and Chris start to feels the symptoms of this darn pollen! I told you that it's really nasty, I'm still not in good shape!
Oh, and no I couldn't found Alessandro D'Avenia translated on English. In past his first novel is been translated for England, but is not valid now because it wait new publisher. I'm read and like this book too, but this which I recommend is the second his book. Oh, I still think for it!

happy Sunday!
I have so much to do today since I got next to nothing done yesterday. but even though I didn't get anything accomplished, I had a good day. Best part: playing a silly card game with the family. It is called SuperFight and you get character cards and attribute cards. One person is the villain and puts down a character and their fighting ability from cards in their hand. Then everyone plays a character/attribute and then we all play a random attribute card from the deck. After we laugh over the crazy combinations, we have to argue whose character could beat the villain. I think my best hand was "Vikings-50 of them-That use The Force." Hard to beat that!
I never made it outside, never went to TJ MAXX. But had a good time with the family which is better.

I have to go food shopping tomorrow and have no ideas what to cook. Gary's birthday is Thursday and when I asked him what he wanted me to make, he said whatever I want. Ugh!

I have a question for you-- have any of you gotten rid of your landline? We can $25/month if we get rid of ours. Part of me wants to jump on that, part of me doesn't want to deal with the confusion of switching over all of our numbers. If you or know anyone who has done this, is it a hassle or not as bad as I imagine?

Have a fab day!!!

Sorry that personals will be short today.

Trudy- The pizzas sound really yummy. We had the same kind of weather- it was sunny and nice and all of a sudden we had t-storms roll in and everything got so cold, so quickly. Hope that the Bruins kicked butt!
Great to hear about Mason making friends and playing basketball!!!

Nancy- still no flowers blooming up here-- soon, I hope. How nice to get out walking with Luther and seeing all of the birds.
Fantastic to have your trip all set-- just you and your sister? Fun!!!!

Rae- hope that your visit with B was another good one. Hope that the little bird keeps coming back so you can see him grow. Bet you did great on the VV sales :)

Felis- sometimes a break from each other will make you and your sister have a great time together again. It is one of the reasons I try to get away to my parent's lakehouse for a weekend a couple of times a year. Cait's glasses came in and they look so darn cute and she is thrilled to be able to see clearly.

Hugs!!!!

good morning - just got back from taking Luther to a park. Yesterday the bird list I get each week said the warblers were back so I thought that would be fun but of course the rain and thunder storms from yesterday must have put them under cover as I only saw one the black and white warbler again. But there were so many red winged blackbirds, blue jays, geese, mallards, robins so that made me happy. But now Luther smells like a swamp dog. Yesterday's hockey was good but OMgosh those Golden Knights went to double OT and then lost. It was sad as the Knights scored but it was over turned due to goal interference. Then the Sharks went on to win. So that means a minimum of 3 more games in that series. Trudy's Bruins rocked and won 6-2. Their stars just rocked! It was a fun game to watch! The USA is playing Finland for the under 18 gold medal and the US is down 2-0. The Fins are a really good team. Found out that several of my Devils will be going to the World Championships in Denmark that start May 4. That is pretty cool. So more hockey but at least the hockey is over seas so the games are on during the day and I love that.

Chris nothing wrong with enjoying family sounds lovely to me. The card game sounds fun! Sounds like it makes you think which is always good. I too hate it when people say I don't care when I ask what to prepare. That is awesome that Cait's glasses arrived and she is happy and more importantly she can see clearly! It was amazing how fast the rain and storms came and boy did it cool things off! Our walk was like walking in a bog.

Trudy congrats on the win! That first line is awesome! Your pizza sounds good. There are so many pizza parlors around here that for me it makes no sense to make my own and they deliver. No mess no fuss LOL. We have thin crust, or thick crust or deep dish and pretty much what ever topping you can imagine. My son loves BBQ chicken ranch topping but not me.

Rae hope you get more photos of the babies. That has to be so special and as you said birds just raise the spirits. Hope all goes well with your visit today!

Felis that is awesome your sister had such a great trip. It is amazing how life and time can change us. But I think it is wonderful that you and your sister are so close!

Jean hope you are having a great weekend. I am sure you are at your genealogy meeting.

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone! It is another rainy day here, so no yard work today. Just :washing: and cleaning the bathrooms. :mmph: It will be another long weekend for DH as he took Monday off to go to yet another Dr's appointment. When he last got his blood work done the Dr. was concerned that his iron levels were very high. So she sent him to a different Dr. not sure what kind of Dr. this one is :noidea: so I guess we will find out tomorrow. I am still working on my hiking pages, sheesh will I ever get these done? I am using some of Anna's brushes that go so well with the photos. Hopefully I will complete these pages today!!

Chris - Your family card game sounds so fun! What better way to spend a Saturday then with your family just having a good time! You are blessed!! Don't you just hate it when your DH says that about what to cook!! Mine is the same, but usually says ... is there anything in the fridge that needs to be eaten up?? :gaah: of course there is, but that's not what I asked you!!! :rollpin: We still have our land line, but telus offered us free phone service because we have had so much trouble with our equipment. I think that my SIL got rid of her land line and I think that she was able to keep her phone # so both numbers work for her cell phone, so that would be hassel free!! Hope you figure out what to make for your Gary's birthday dinner, good luck with grocery shopping too!

Rae - Wow good for you for doing the weights every morning! I know I should probably use some weights too, but I get a pretty good work out with my swimming and hiking! Oh ya here is one of the photos that my brother sent to me, poor little roufus hummer, but thankfully he was fine and flew to live another day!

I hope that B enjoys all the goodies that you made for her, she is one lucky girl to have such a wonderful Grandma!!

Felis - So nice that you and your sister are so very close! Yes sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder and you realize how great it is to have someone in your family that you can connect with! It is nice that you are happy with your country life! That is all that is important is that you are happy!

Nancy - Sorry that your walk was wet and cold! More sorry that now Luther stinks!! LOL Wasn't the Bruins game good!! Its like Marchand and Bergeron are so in sync with each other always knowing where the other is! So fun to watch! My son also likes to have that chicken on his pizza, me not so much! Hope you have a fun hockey filled day today!

:hello: Jean! You must be busy with your genealogy, hope you are having a lovely weekend!

Ok off to make a fresh pot of coffee and start thinking about what to make for DH's breakfast, I am not hungry yet so will wait for a bit before I eat. Have a great day ladies!

Just a regular Saturday, cleaning, stay out, movie night. And then I realize that this is the last day for the pages and had to rush to finish them. Monthly page never turned so well as was in my mind, but at the end I give up and just made it as better as I can. The irony is that I have idea for few pages, but I need quiet time, to listen music and scrap concentrated only on a page. But the whole month my brain is blur not just from the allergy, but also from unwanted memories and feelings that Spring weather brings me. Hope all this will gone away with the new month and the Summer!

Jean, absolutely the same for me, so I totally understand you.

Trudy, oh, this little bird is so adorable! How nice that it's could recovery and flew! Hope the new doctor have some easy solution for your husband's iron levels!

Nancy, only you can get so much fun in day with thunder storms! The story for the swamp Luther makes me smile for so long! :becky:

Chris, sorry, but I'm on a Gary's side in this case. How he could know what kind of products you have, how many time can spend in cooking and in what mood will be at this day. I think it's fair, the chef to be the person who will decide. And of course you have options his favorite meal or some brand new and surprising recipe. :hungry:

Rae, I hope you had nice weekend!
