Happy Easter Weekend to everyone who celebrates it.

Happy Bunny Weekend to those who don't. hehe

we are still stuck in cold and rainy weather. It is so hard to believe that we are creeping up on May. I changed up my desktop and google backgrounds to beachy scenes just to make it feel a bit warmer in here.
(BTW- its not working)

what fun plans does everyone have? I really need to get some housework done today but my hip/back are still very bad. I am staring to get worried. i don't know what is wrong with it. Even with not doing anything strenuous, it still really hurts.

The kids are going to be working on baking some more cookies and wrapping some more hershey bars. Cait's school is having a Fair night on Monday and her principal has a table set up for her to sell the stuff. The principal (she was his principal last year) also invited Scott to come too.

Tomorrow we are going to my mom's for dinner yum! Italian Easter pie!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

I have been so bad with personals, but I am goign to try to catch up a bit.

Sally- OMG! I saw Cora's photos on FB! She looked gor-jus!!!!! Who was that cute guy with her??
Did you and YMG have a nice night? And please come to my house to help me clean and rearrange! LOL

I am getting that Spring fever moments where I am sick of my old decorations and such and I want to revamp it all but I don't have the money to do it. But I need new fresh ideas.

Laurie- I hear ya on the weather- this bites!!

Suzy- is your mom computer savvy? I try to teach my mom stuff on the computer but as long as she knows how to get to her email and the internet, she is happy. Hope you got everything done that you needed to!

trudy- I hear ya on the funk. The gallery in general seems to be quiet. I need to get in there and leave some love as well. Hope you get out of your funk soon.

Hi Clara!

Good morning. I have finally made a couple Lo's. Yay! I realized however that when I resize to the smaller image the shadows grow huge!!! So my low resolution LO's look like they are all made with huge puffy tape! Oh well.

My oldest son wants me to teach him to digiscrap, but he keeps walking away before I can sit him down to show him! Silly boy.

Today we get to veg. We will be making Tie Dye easter eggs here in a little bit! I need to finish my Easter hats and put all this crafting stuff away finally so I cna find my table. No one has been interested in buying any hats. I spent a ton of money on the supplies to make them. Oh well. Maybe I will try Etsy, or even a local shop.

Yesterday we had a wonderful afternoon, the 3 kidlets and I. We went window shopping the lovely little shops in our neighboring town. There are tons of antique stores and stores selling wares from local artists and crafters. I even put my name in on one store to possibly try to sell some of my "creations". I figured I'd try to sell some of my photographs and my hats and barrettes. How fun! We also found this neat store run by a 76 yr old woman named Ms Dee. She sells all sorts of odds and ends that she has been collecting all her life. She is also a phenomenal artist. She paints, but she also does painting with buttons. Her work is incredible! She sat and talked with the kids for over 30 minutes. They got to make a button spindle toy and Aleyna was given a ring and an bookmark with handmade lace on it! They really enjoyed their time in there.

Well I am off to go see what the kidlets are up to. Probably camped out in front of the tv again!

Hi everyone:wave: Off to Costco to spend, spend, spend, will catch up with all of you later today I hope!

yooooouuuu hoooooooooo!! Where is everyone? Busy as the Easter Bunny?

I was seeing so many people on FB talking about Egg hunts and Eater baskets and candy... I feel so bad. I didn't do anything for the kids today. We dyed eggs last night- the first time in years. That got them to discussing how they loved the egg hunts and baskets. They were sincerely disappointed that I wasn't doing that for them. Not like they got anything exciting in the past- coins in plastic eggs, and some dollar store junk in the baskets.
So now I feel bad :(

Kartina- sounds like a very special day with your kids- that is awesome. Good luck, I hope you can get stuff in the store!

How was Costco, besides expensive Trudy?

Hope that all of you are having a very blessed day!

I was thinking about the same thing Chris- my kids have grown and only one will be here for Easter- I am trying to set my scanner up so I can make a messy done with bunny photo layout for my son who will not be home. We will head to church and then a scrumptious lunch after that- may take my camera, just to annoy my family!

I went to the sunrise service with my in laws... then came home and waited for Jeff to get home... then we passed out! I woke up a little while ago because I couldn't sleep until I found my food processor. Weird, I know, but I had a feeling Jeff had accidentally thrown it away.

Later we're going to Jeff's aunt & uncles for a big family get together! I'm excited... but I need more sleep before we go... so off I disappear again!

Housework is all done, shopping is all done, laundry is all done, so I have the rest of the afternoon to just scrap to my hearts content :typing: :whoo:
Chris - It has been very quiet around here!! Don't feel bad about the easter egg hunt thing, I stopped doing that when my kids turned into teenagers and they got over it. It's just another expense that we really don't need. It has turned into such a Hallmark Holiday and as I am not really religious, it just doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money for something my kids really didn't need to have.

Laurie - Hope you take lots of photos, even if it annoys your family LOL

Meg - Enjoy your sleep! Hope you found your food processor :pound: don't we think wierd things when we are sleep deprived!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone!

hey kiddos!!

We had a wonderful day today! I posted pics of our time at my mom's today. This morning we had a marvelous service! The music was phenominal (I love our worship band!!) and the preaching was so cool!!! and Mr Gorgeous and I happened to write a song last night (from midnight to 2am! yike!) that really tied into what was preached, so we performed it at the end of the service. So cool!!

Here's the funny thing...
Since Easter lunch was over at my mom's (5 mins from our church), we had to take the food we made to church. And I had the Pioneer Woman's Mashed potatoes that were cold from the fridge overnight. So right before the service started at 10:30, I put them in the oven in our little church kitchen. When the service was over at noon, the entire children's church wing and the hall smelled like luscious potatoes!! we thought the whole church was gonna come over for dinner after smelling that! It sooooo cracked me up!!

So Chris, don't feel bad!!! just the fact that you did eggs last night as a family is WAY ahead of me. WE usually dye easter eggs and do a big hunt. But this year, i just didn't have time. I don't do the whole easter basket thing. We do have a friend who always brings the kids in the children's church mini baskets of candy, so my two youngers were well sugared up! LOL!! And YES...I MISS OUR BABY GIRLIES, too!! This guy that took Cora to the Gala is a sweet guy. A friend from our homeschool support group. He came over and met Cora's daddy before he asked her to the gala...soooo fun!! Cora and he constantly text each other...very fun to watch how life develops with teenagers. (I'm personally thanking God that we have facebook and twitter so I can stalk my teenagers!! LOL!!)

I'm off to go do a little scrapping before I hit the hay tonight.
hugs!!
love you all!
