Woohoo, it is the weekend! I woke up thinking that it was Monday. For the past 4 weeks, I have been on absolutely no schedule at all so that typical "no day is different from the other" has been even more pronounced. But today marks an end to that. I am done with the shoe and I drove yesterday. Look out world, I am *back!* :whoo:Driving felt strange, not the driving or the braking but the flexing of my foot. Considering I couldn't move my ankle much on Monday, this is a big improvement and that makes me happy.
I am planning on starting cleaning again next week which also makes me feel like I am getting more like myself again.

It is raining today so I might just bum around the house. Who am I kidding, I would be doing that anyway! But first I need to take out the dogs :)

xoxo

Trudy- I saw the headline about the hikers and that there is no chance of them being alive but that they found the camp debris. Very sad.
What happened to make your painting a fail? Did you get a chance to restart it? You have a really busy weekend but make sure you get to Facetime with the entire family, how heartwarming to know that they are all together!! Thanks for the Easter Bunny- too cute!

Jean- Have a great time at the meeting today and good luck to your Surface chugging along. How gorgeous to have new rhodos! I still grumble about the time that Gary cut mine all the way down to the ground but whew, it came back. He is lucky for that, very lucky ;)

Kay- so smart of you to listen to your body and went back home instead of running yourself ragged. I prefer to shop locally but online seems to be the best option for me. I don't know if I would like the temps flinging themselves up and down like that. the warm weather would be such a tease to me. Hopefully, the storms will pass you by next week and you will just get some rain.

Rae- so nice to see you! I miss you in here every day but I am truly happy that your offline time is being so productive and helpful to you. Have a great visit with B today and tell her that the rats are being adorable as always. :)

Felis- Your day turned out very nice-- sunshine, Tiny, and strawberries!
The burned churches were in Lousiana and I think it is being charged as a hate crime. How sad that black churches are still being burned in 2019. :(
I am with you-- Heather is an inspiration as is her mother!

xoxo!

It was pouring when I got up this morning, lightly raining when I drove across town to the meeting, dry but gray driving home this afternoon and now the sun is out. So a day covering the bases. The meeting went well and the Surface made it through just fine. We meet in a library and I took out three movies there so we can watch one tomorrow.

Chris, how great that you are feeling back!! And you sure weren't missing any fine weather either but that is coming back too. Thanks for the comment on my daffodil page and that it looked happy to you.

Wishing everyone sunshine and a wonderful weekend.

Good day - I have been super busy. I am feeling like my old self. Thursday I came to post and my son texted he wanted some photos of him as a child when he was chunky. No one believed he was a cubby baby. So I got sucked into finding photos and never made it back. Rehab was awesome as my leg bend is now 125 degrees. I am so happy. Then on Friday my DH needed up early so he could get to his doctor appt. He does indeed have a detached retina and must have surgery. He will have it when school is finished. He asked how it happened and the doctors was a crack up and said "old age". Love the golden years. He said he knew his one eye was much worse than the other but thought it was the cataract. The doctor said if left unfixed he could have permanent vision lost. Glad this was caught early. My girlfriend, her daughter and her boyfriend all went for pedicures on Friday. I love my pretty toes. Got a nice lavender for spring. Then we went to eat at a new restaurant but not new. Just one I had never eaten at and it was delish, Cafe Paris. The boys at home looked online and ordered and they too loved it. Did rehab in pool today and then walked Luther. A nice woman at the pool had both knees done at the same time and said it was horrible. But she has no knee pain so that is great! The weather here was supposed to be bad storms but we got a lot of rain but the storms passed. Thank goodness. Today is warm but cloudy every once in a while the sun will come out. My DH is cooking prime rib for dinner. Pretty sweet for us.

Chris so glad you are driving. Congrats. I waited until about 4 weeks past surgery and my DH went with me first and screamed stop just to prove I could stop when not expecting to stop. Don't do too much! But so glad things have progressed so well.

Jean so glad the surface made it through the meeting. I feel like we had your weather today! I guess that is spring! Enjoy the new flowers.

Trudy sorry about the painting and sorry about the Bruins. I felt like they were a little slow. I swear I don't know what interference is and what is worse is I don't think the NHL does either. I have been seeing on twitter that lots of retired goalies feel there should be a goalie in the situation room. Seem reasonable to me.

Kay listening to our bodies is so smart. My is telling me to take a nap LOL. Hope the temps stabilize and you just get rain to bring those May flowers.

Rae so glad to hear things are going well. Have fun with B.

Felis glad you finally had spring weather. How fun to take a walk with Tiny. glad you found strawberries

Have a great day all!

Just another quick in and out this afternoon. Got the notice from my EHD that it is 100% full [2TB] after yesterday's back-up. I had talked to the tech at BB to see if I could clean and reuse one of my older EHDs a couple of weeks ago. She said yes... just be sure to only clear my files .... not the software on it. So spent a couple of hours selectively clearing files that are from way back in 2016 off of my EHD#2. Still have more to clear out but ran out of steam. Took a shower and got dressed then ran over to the Post Office and library [books due on Tues]. Came home and fixed a bite to eat for lunch. Temp outside was up to 80... but I was still cold. Cuddled up with a shawl and my throw to read, the next thing I knew it was a 2 hour nap. So... guess I am still not recovered from whatever I have had. Will wait to see how I feel tomorrow to see if I think I should try to go to church and/or do Easter lunch with the family. Right now, I just want to nap again....

A very happy Easter to all of you who celebrate! Happy Passover for those of you who celebrate that. Tomorrow is Earth Day, so merry Earth Day Eve as well.

Yesterday started out so dreary but by dinner time it was a bit brighter. This morning we are back to chilly and cloudy again. It looks like it is going to be much nicer this week ahead so maybe I can get out in the yard. How happy I will be!!! That reminds me that I need to check on how our Off and Permethrin supply is. Scott had a tick half-embedded in his leg the other day. He went to the Dr immediately and that gave him one dose of Doxy as preventative. It isn't enough but I also have herbal supplements that he can take, just in case. Gawd I HATE ticks!

I feel so bad for Caitlyn. She got her hair cut on Friday with the woman that cuts my hair. She is always good about asking me how much to take off with the length so I recommended her to Cait. She didn't take much all off of the length but cut layers into her hair and Cait is miserable. I think it looks fantastic and healthy but going from butt-length to layers is not what she wanted at all. That was a big part of my day, trying to reassure her, knowing that no matter what I said wasn't going to make it better nor "fix it."

My parents will be here in a few hours with breakfast and Easter Pie. Yum! I almost never eat beef or pork, but I can't pass up Easter Pie. My mom makes it with ham, pepperoni, and bologna but they count more as chemicals than meat. :pound:

Cait is awake, so off I go to see the babies. Dilly was hanging out in the sleeve of my sweatshirt for so long yesterday and didn't want to come out at all. So cute!

Morning all... I am a bit stiff and sore from all of the stacking and packing of wood we did yesterday! The In-Laws will have enough wood for a couple of years now LOL. It is the first time that my Gary has attempted to split Hemlock wood. Let me tell you it has alot of sticky icky pitch in it and was very, very narly!! Made it difficult to get nice pieces and very difficult to try to stack it all! Even though we worked most of the day on it, we still did not complete the whole job. It's ok because my nephew will be there today to help finish it all. Poor DH squished his little finger with the wood splitter OUCH!! It is swollen and sore but doesn't look like he will lose the nail. We both crashed when we got home, it was a good day as we enjoyed the fire pit and roasted wieners at lunch time
marshmallow-smiley.gif
and then turkey for supper. Today we will hopefully see the Bruins win their game, if not they will be done and DH will have some free time on his hands from now on LOL. The weather certainly cooperated with us yesterday and the sun shone brightly all day!! :bliss: Hope to facetime with everyone today and wish them all a Happy Easter!

Chris - The news that you are happy to be driving and getting back to normal is heartwarming! I sure hope that you get the nicer weather this coming week so you can be outside and enjoy it! Back to your cleaning job again too, that is great! Sorry that Caitlyn is not happy with her haircut! It's just hair and will grow back, hopefully the style will grow on her and she will like it more! Ugh on finding the tick on Scott's leg, dam things!! I hate them too!! The Easter Pie sounds interesting! I don't think I have ever heard of it, so will have to google it and see what the recipe is like. Enjoy it and the visit with your parents!

Felis - You are too sweet to say those things about my Heather! She is my hero too and probably the strongest person I know! I am so proud of her and proud of my son also, they both turned out pretty darn good! (Proud Momma!!) Hope that you are having a lovely weekend and the sun is shining for you!

Jean - Glad that your surface made it through the meeting with no problems! How did your movie watching go, were they good??

Nancy - Yes were were a bit disappointed with the Bruins performance in their last game! Hopefully today they will be much better, but what will be, will be. ITA that the NHL does not know what interference is that their really should be retired goalies in the situation room! Oh my goodness your poor DH! How scary to have a detached retina! So glad it was caught early enough and sure hope the surgery goes well for him!! Can I come over for supper?? Prime rib is my absolute favourite!! :hungry: Hope you get in another nice walk in the sunshine with Luther today!

Kay - Not a fun job to have to clear files from your EHD! It must get monotonous! Hope you are feeling better and will get to enjoy Easter lunch with your family!

Ok I suppose I should get some breakfast going for DH and I think I will try to find a new recipe for Keto muffins or something today. Other than that not much happening around here until noon when the hockey game starts. GO BRUINS!! LOL.

good day - happy Easter - we will celebrate by having dinner at my son's with family. That will be fun. Before though we walked Luther. The weather is cool in the 60s but it is sunny so so nice! Everything is in bloom my dogwood is blooming and some lovely pink flowers on a bush my DH planted but he does not remember what it is. LOL And came back from walk and my lilac is starting to bloom. When we left it was green and now there are lots of purple buds.

Chris enjoy the Easter Pie! Love the comment about chemicals. I hate ticks too. Glad he found it and had his dose. Prevent as much as possible! And poor Cait. Did you show her the video of the mom whose 5 year old son found the dog clippers and shaved parts of his brother's and sister's hair. Had the Mom crying. But as she says it is just hair. It will grow back. I feel so bad for her. You are a good mom.

Kay hope today you feel well enough to head to church. A family lunch have a great time! Glad you had a 2 hr nap. I know I love my naps! If 80 is cold maybe you are not well yet! Cleaning out EHDs or any back up is hard and time consuming. Good luck!

Trudy this year's playoffs are so strange - goals early at the start of a period - the lower seed teams winning except NYIslanders and potentially Caps and Bruins. Go Bruins! Have fun FaceTiming your family! And you should be a proud mom.

Have a great day all!

Happy Easter/Passover/Earth Day and just generally spring! I even saw the Easter bunny this morning running across the patio in the yard behind us. Tonight I'll make a normal dinner and we'll watch one of the movies.

Nancy, know you'll have at wonderful dinner at DS's and enjoy the family. The blooming sounds tremendous. Lilacs already - that's beautiful and will smell heavenly.

Trudy, that hemlock wood sounds nasty to work with. Your poor MG getting a smashed finger. At least the ILs will have all that wood. Enjoy your Easter and good luck to the Bruins.

Chris, the Easter pie sounds yummy but you're right about the chemicals I'm afraid. Getting outside will feel so good but I'm glad you're getting those other chemicals in order to ward off ticks, etc. Poor Cait with the haircut. I feel her pain but nothing to do for it at the moment. Even if it looks great, she doesn't see herself in it.

Kay, I'm really hoping you feel better and don't miss the family meal today. Hope you made good headway cleaning up the EHD#2.

Happy Easter, ladies! Just popping in to say hi and hope you all have a great day.

Chris - glad you are starting to get around more now, especially with the driving.

Nancy - sorry to hear your DH has to have surgery but good thing it was diagnosed before causing permanent damage.

Trudy - the sun is out here today so hopefully you are having good weather too. We've sure had our share of rain lately. Enjoy the game today.

I'm getting off the computer now so I can put together my coleslaw dish I'm bringing to the family BBQ this afternoon. We saw B yesterday and today we see the rest of the family.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Morning... or should I say afternoon!!! Decided to go just for church services. Was leery of doing both Bible class and church as I am still feeling a bit tired. Wanted to make it for the family lunch but knew that would be too much for me to do it all. Have to leave here in just a few minutes for lunch.

Yes, it is a bit of a pain to winnow down the files from the old EHD... but had a system going on deleting files that I already have on DVDs by looking at the ones I still have my computer under #1DigiFiles. Now I need to look at {#01NewFiles folder} on my computer that I need to copy to DVDs and then take them completely off the computer... such as designers who have retired or are gone. I had started that last fall but never finished going through them. I want to get all that done before I start using the cleared EHD for backups. Since I don't feel like going out much will see if I can get caught up on all that this week.

One good thing I thought of this morning.... Somehow a few months ago, I had managed to delete one of my psd files that was of a favorite LO. I managed to get a jpeg copy of it from the web... but it wasn't as good a quality as my original. I looked on my full EHD and found both the psd and jpeg of it! Copied it and got it back on my computer.

Here is hoping you all are having a good Holiday [for those who celebrate Easter] and a wonderful weekend. CYL
