Hello and good morning or hopefully everyone slept late and its the afternoon now.
I had to get up early since I am taking Scott and his GF to another college Open House. Its an hour away so I hope that he doesn't want to go there. He'll flip when he realizes how much gas he'll go through eep!
After that, I am going to a Tastefully Simple party at my friend's house. My mom is coming too. Should be fun and yummy. Then I have a ton of teens coming to my house for a get together. Scott is trying to get his Wayne friends to become friends with his West Milford friends. His GF lives in Wayne so these are her friends coming up.

Tomorrow I hope to have the day to relax a bit.

My timer just dinged- time for me to get the kids up and ready to go.

Hugs and love!

lOve the O!
Morning O fam- no energy this week - I did my workouts m-w and spent thursday running- recycle-dentist- shoe drop off for soles4souls, more recycle, goodwill drop off, verizon to see about changing phones/plans, grocery store bag drop off, trip to Kingwood Center (beautiful gardens), grocery shop and home! Friday was work

I think having my son home has been very stressful on me. I love him, but the not knowing what he is doing, trying to support him through his journey has sucked some of my life out of me- hence going to the garden center versus being home where he was- not to mention it was a gorgeous day and I got to take awesome photos. My husband came home thursday and really set son straight on things- like housework- Son and I had talked Tues eve about he could do dishes & he said he would- and wed eve when I finally got home from work, the dishes were still there as was he in a chair playing/working? on his phone. I was not happy and did the dishes right then and there. So I decided that I would stay away from home on my day off to cool off. I think it and my husbands conversation with him worked. But man - I still feel stressed. I haven't scrapped in a week. Maybe tomorrow. Lots to do today- basement stuff- buy stuff for projects the son must finish. Okay off to start my day and hopefully I will not hide again this week from you my friends!!

Sounds like a busy day again Chris, but with some fun things too, have fun at the party at your friends house!

I can imagine that it is stressful Laurie, I hope it will get better and the talks between your husband and son have helped!

Have a fun trip Phylis!

Frozen pizza day here too Astrid :D have fun scrapping!

big hug Krysti!

I'm home with 2 of the boys, so rather quiet here LOL my husband is to his mom again to help her and Ben is gone with him, Wes is at daycare. I've spoiled my 2 boys here with a big icecream and hotdogs at lunch, we went to the playground again and now they are playing on the WII. This evening is time to scrap.

Have a great weekend girls!

Happy Saturday everyone... Lots of outside work to do today!! Power washing the front and back decks, getting rid of the green ewwww!! Not sure if we are heading to the In-laws to help out cutting more wood?? Hope not as there is too much to do around here!! Having my brother for supper tomorrow, he is back from 6 months is Aussieland and his wife is still there waiting for grand baby #3 to be born. So I thought he would like to have a home cooked meal and we can catch up on all that has been happening down under for the past 1/2 year.

Chris - You have a busy weekend being a taxi driver, hope your son does not choose the far away school, who needs the expense of gas consumption every month!! Hoping you get to have a relaxing Sunday!! Sending you some of the sunshine and warm weather that we are supposed to get for the rest of the weekend!

Laurie - Ohhh poor you I feel for you!! I know how stressful it can be to have your son move back home and then they sit and do NOTHING all day long!! Been there done that!! Hopefully he can find some employment very soon and get out on his own again!! I sure hope that your MG's talk will smarten him up a bit!! Keep the faith my friend, it will be ok again one day!!

Phylis - Have a fun filled weekend with the Grandmen and get lots of cuddles and giggle time with them!!

Kristy - Sorry that you are having a grumpy day!! Hope it gets better for you!!

Astrid - I love your day!! Have fun scrapping all day long...wish I could do the same!

Angela - Can I come to your place for lunch!! I love hotdogs and ice-cream!! Have a creative day!

Well gotta get my butt in gear and get to work, lots to do and I still haven't had breakfast. Enjoy the day everyone!!

good morning had a wonderful Sat. Up early as the NJ Devils hockey game was an early 1pm start. But before the game my girlfriend and I got in a great walk. Then rode the train in with Chaz and Natalie. Fun listening to them talk. Then they went to lunch at a near the Rock restaurant while I met my oldest son and his wife and we ate at the Rock in the Acela Lounge. They have the best buffet and the best desserts. It was also mystery puck night. Each year the the Devils select a charity and sell pucks to raise money. This year was Seeing Eye Dogs and they even had several dogs on hand for people to see and interact with. I got a puck signed by Martin Brodeur how cool is that, my son got David Clarkson and Amanda got Matt D'agostini. But really a Martin Brodeur puck how lucky was I. Then the NJ Devils came out and gave up two quick goals to the Florida Panthers only to rally and win 6-2. It was a great game. Rode the train home with Chaz and Natalie and again they were too funny. Then came home and watched the Coyotes defeat Blackhawks in a shoot out. A fun day. lots of good times with the kids. Today the Devils play the NY Rangers. My Devils need to win to keep their play off hopes alive.

Chris hope you had a good time at the Tastefully Simple party. My husband is going to be at his University's open house today. Hope the one for your son went well.

Phylis hope the road trip is going well and the vodka made the trip intact.

Laurie I completely understand the stress you are going through with your son coming home. I dont know how old your son is but when my son was laid off he took it so hard and it took a long long time to over it. Then he got over a year of unemployment and so no real motive to find a job. And then when that ran out he just sat for a while. And there really are no jobs. It was stressful. But he got his act together. I think that losing your job is really hard and they do have to mourn for a while. But when you and your husband are working it is so hard to see them just sitting there.

Kristi hope things get better

Astrid hope scrapping went well!

Angela sounds like fun at our house. Hotdogs and ice cream!

Trudy sounds like a nice visit with your brother. Enjoy!

Have a great day all

Happy Sunday my dear O-Fam!

I made it through my busy day. The college is not what Scott is looking for, thank goodness. Its a really long commute and the campus itself is much bigger than what he is comfortable with. We'll check out one other college at some point and then we'll know what our next steps are.

Thanks for letting me post my sit-ups every day. (Not that you would really be able to stop me LOL) . But its making me accountable and that is what I need.

Today I have nothing really going on, so I hope to clean up my office area and then do some scrapping.

Laurie- I am so sorry that your DS is giving you stress. I am also sad to hear that they don't ever really grow out of the Mom Does Everything mentality. I went through this with Scott yesterday (again and again....) Its so hard to not get angry.
My fingers are crossed that it gets through to him and you can relax and enjoy being home again. And if you find out what works-- please tell me!!!!

Phyllis- hope you are enjoying the Grandmen!!!!

Hi Astrid-- we have missed you here! Yay for frozen pizza night! We had leftovers here. Any day I don't have to cook is a good one :)

Kristi-- huge hugs and good stress-free vibes!!!

Angela- hope you enjoyed the "quiet" of only two of the boys :D
Sounds like a super fun day you had!

Trudy- have a great time with your brother! I can't imagine having my brother a half a world away. But have a fun catching up with him. I got your sunshine, but it is still so cold. 50's again. I need some 70's!!

love to all who pop in and read this! Remember, anyone and everyone is welcome here!!

Happy Sunday lady O's!! An overcast morning here, but hopefully that will burn away and the sun will make an appearance today!

Nancy - Sounds like a really fun time at the hockey game yesterday!! Your Devils are out of there slump and doing well again! Very disappointed by the Big Bad Bruins yesterday, well maybe not so much in them as the ref's of the game, there were some really bad calls! Oh well like you say they can't win all of their games can they! Hope your Sunday is a good one for you!

Chris - Whew, Scott will not have to drive so far to go to college Hooray!! You are doing awesome with your sit ups!! I am thinking of dragging out the wii and doing the yoga program that I have, I really like Yoga as I am not much for sweating off the inches and I find yoga so very calming! I enjoy the tennis too, lots of movement, lots of fun! Hope you get some inspiration to scrap today, hope I do too!! Haven't done too much lately.

Well soup to make today and a nice roast beef on the BBQ for supper with my brother tonight, looking forward to it! Have a great Sunday everyone

Laurie…so sorry to hear about your son…unfortunately I know the feeling… :( how old is he? I have the impression he is older than my daughter? (she is 17)
I used to do that (go and wash the dishes/hoover/whatever the task was) now I can't...so I end up screaming my head of ...but funnily enough (and to be fair) she is getting better...
Hope your husband can talk some sense on him....
Good that you can escape …as I said, hope things get sorted soon, hugggzzz

Phyllis have a GREAT TIME!!!!!!!

LOL Anika… same here…I think I do everyday pretty much the same! enjoy the rest of the weekend! (I wish I could eat pizza!!!)

Kiliki: I so hear you!!! hope things get better soon (and someone takes some toddlers away from you LOL) and you get some rest Hugggzzz

Good to have a bit of a rest Angela…. you guys are making me hungry….pizza hot dogs, ICE CREAM!!!!! IIIII SSSSSCREEEEAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!
even if I was to forgot diabetes (like I have been doing LOL) my freezer isn't working…so no way :(

you have fun, have a rest, lovely girl, you so deserve it!!!!! Hugggzzz

Trudy, I got tired only reading about the power washing!!!! LOL
Enjoy your brother :) Hugggzzz

Nancy how great that you are out and about enjoying , having fun!!! Hope your team wins!!!!

Chris, am so glad you are doing exercise and counting, and I know about the fear of them going to a college far away… there are only two very good Universities in Greater London for musical theatre/performing arts, and one (the best) is in Surrey /Guilford…Sarita wants to go there, it would be finishing college next year May so she will start applying to Unis after October this year….lets hope she can get in, then we worry about how we cope with the whole thing….

Here not much to tell, she (my daughter) is getting better, at least we have enjoyed some time together, she is trying to do chores and came back at the requested time…
I'm exhausted, couldn't sleep too well yesterday and my eyes are making a huge effort to stay awake - the fybromialgia is getting me with a vengeance today…plus my left hip is killing me…. and my brain cannot process much info but I HAD to come see the O family :)
I spent the whole day downloading kits and made a couple of pages (just posted them ) so that made me feel a lot better :)

Hope everyone is well, enjoy the rest of the day…!!!!!
Huggggzzzzzz
