CHEERY O
Did everyone sleep good last night, and sleep in this morning? Cait and I had the same thing happen. We woke up, thinking our alarms were going off and realized, whew! It was Saturday. In fact, my dream had the alarm song in it-- two times. That was so weird, I heard the pre-alarm song, reached over to my phone, realized that I had been dreaming, and was able to get back asleep. Then it happened again. I can't escape alarm clocks!! LOL

Yesterday was absoulely gorgeous weather, and it totally inspired me to get some spring cleaning done. I worked on my office area. I threw out some stuff, dusted everything, grabbed a flameless candle to make it look pretty. There are still some thing i need to organize and put away, but I feel like I am putting a dent in it all.

Then Cait and I took the dogs to the park. Ray was whining that she wanted to go to, and I was really worried that she would hurt her neck more. But there were only a few dogs there and all very mellow- one was older than her and they kinda sniffed each other and hobbled around. J was flying around, and loved chasing after the stick I found there.

We ended the day with mozz and rosemary grilled cheese sandwiches on Round Italian bread and 3 episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The three of us are so excited for the second season and have been re-watching the first. It gets funnier and funnier. Scott watched the first, maybe second episode and didn't think it was funny. We keep telling him, keep watching, but he gave up. His loss. we are hysterical with it. Seriously laugh out loud.

I know I have said it before, but if you have Netflix, you *have* to watch it.

Today looks like it is gloomy- it was raining a little while ago and it is going to be much colder. Yuck. But it will be a good day for me to finish cleaning this room and then scrap! Scott posted those pics that he took of J and there are some very scrap-able ones.

Hope that everyone has a super day!

Today:
On World Autism Awareness Day, autism organizations around the world celebrate with unique, powerful fundraising and awareness events. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disability with symptoms first appearing during early childhood. It can affect a person's ability to communicate and interact with others.
Did you know that an estimated 1 in 68 babies born in the United States will have some form of autism? There's no better time to get involved with awareness campaigns in your community and beyond.
One such campaign is Light It Up Blue, which encourages people to do things from wearing blue to lighting up your whole office or school blue. Show your support for the global autism community by using the hashtag #LIUB to share your experiences, support, and thoughts.

I know my kids have friends who are on the Spectrum, and love them quirks and all!

ha!! My first line yesterday that was I had nowhere to go. Might not be that much of a deal, but I did end up having to drive Cait to school. ;)

Kat- I know, right?? Skeletons all over the place, but a painted table? Boo!
I think he is coming around, he saw a table on Craigslist that was painted close to what I had wanted to do and he showed me the picture of it. I explained what i wanted to differently and he didn't disagree. baby steps, all the way- especially with Taurus men! :)
Ugh about the Payroll mess. NOT what you needed to come back to. Hope that you can rest up this weekend. And I am *really* glad that I didn't pull a prank on you, I like my head attached hahah!
Since you are new-ish here, I had shared this story before, but I pulled a prank on my fam that did not go over well at all. When Cait was in Kdg, Gary was learning how to tattoo. Cait loved being his subject and he would put the fake skin over her arm and she would sit in the chair and he would practice "on" her. One time I took pics of it, then thought it would make an awesome April Fools prank so I had her make faces like she was in pain. I sent the photos out to my family and friends, on April 1, thinking that in itself was self-explanatory. Out of everyone I sent it to, my brother was the only one who got it. My father couldn't even talk to my mom, my friends were freaking out that the school was going to call DFYS.
I might be crazy, but no way would I let my 5 yo get a tattoo!! She is 17 and we are still making her wait until 18. I had to send out a follow up email telling them-LOOK at the Date!!!!! :gaah:
Then a few years ago here, I made a post about leaving the O, it was my time to say good bye. At the end I did write April Fools, having learned my lesson :pound:

please take care of yourself today and feel butter.
BTW-how did Haddie do while you are gone and how is the new treatment going? I can't remember what it was, new food? New supp? But she was on something new while she was at the vet while you were away, IIRC?

Nancy- I notice that too, always seems faster on the way home. Is it impatience or that the roads become more familiar?
What a trip! Sounds amazing and I can't wait to see the pictures.Where are you off to next week?
:cheer2: on the Devils win, I hope that the seats are right by the ice!
This weather in bonkers. Snow showers up here?? Yuck!!!! (Omg- i am so aggravated you can here my keybd pushing into my desk LOL)

Trudy- Oh no!!!! My dad has terrible vertigo, you might remember he had to be hospitalized a couple of time from it. It sounds like what you might have. I am hoping that she is wrong. Did you have a test for it? He had some weird test where he was siting in a box, or some crazy thing like that. he also has Meniere's and that contributes. His spec. has him on some med and a low sodium diet to reduce the symptoms. There is surgery to "cure" it but it causes hearing loss inthat ear. He is almost deaf in the other ear, so if it was the same ear he could have had it done, but doesn't want to lose hearing in both.
Sheesh, it never ends! What is your next step? Hugs!!!!!
I told my Gary about what your Gary said about the table. and I think there might be some hope here. heh!

Rae- very smart to hold off until everything is exactly as you want it, or as close to exact as possible. It is very exciting!
Good luck with the client, hope it helps with the $, but doesn't add any stress.

TTYS!!!!

xoxo

Morning! Well, it's almost afternoon *gasp* Found a new medication that knocked me out last night - and most of the cough, too! Delsym Max. cough 'n' cold. OMG, I was zonked out by like 9 pm, stirred a bit around 11 when Bill took haddie out, and then again around 5 this morning (her breakfast time). I vaguely remember Bill saying I'd stole all the covers and he was cold ... eh, his loss. ;)

No idea what's on the cards for today. Might watch the men's NCAA finals, but since Michigan State's not in there, not really rootin' for anyone. Just some mindless tv. Oh, and scrapping. I NEED to scrap. LOL Bill's so understanding with that - he 'gets' it ... and knows better than to interrupt me when I need to get all creative and s*&t.

Gloomy here with drizzly rain. Nearly 85 degrees yesterday ... and supposed to be 55 tomorrow. Huh?!

Oh, Chris, you were asking about Haddie. She's doing fine - my eternal shadow, following me everywhere LOL Since I've been at work all week, I suspect she'll stick to me like glue today and tomorrow. Looks like her surgical wounds are healing nicely - but they still look like a bit of a mess. I'm assuming they will take a couple of months to truly heal over.

Happy to see you were able to take the pups to the dog park for a bit. I have a mental picture of Jaida just screamin' around, while Ray just standing there, watching and thinking they're not going to be that silly about it (she knows better).

Morning ladies... quickly in and out of here this morning, my usual weekend rushing around with DH, he likes to keep me very busy on the weekends with lots of projects and errands to do. That is why I love my alone time during the week!! :becky: We work well together though and have lots of laughs during the days that we spend together! So I will just say hi and get going on the work around here that needs to be done! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Oh BTW I got one of the two end tables finished yesterday will post pics soon!

Good morning ladies. I'm just popping in quick to say hi and hope you all have a great day. I picked up my laptop yesterday after work (had sent it in to be upgraded and cleaned out and found out that the old computer we were hoping to upgrade for Bailey to scrapbook on is not functioning so that idea won't work. Now I'm going to see if our computer guy can find us a cheap laptop for her if her laptop can't be upgrade which we'll pay for. It's an oldie, about 8 yrs old and I don't think it was good quality to start with, but we'll see what happens. I was totally frustrated last night. Damn hackers and spammers or whatever you call the people that create viruses and malware stuff....grrrr. I was fuming. I tried to download the driver for my tablet b/c I couldn't find my disk. I thought I was on the wacom page. But when I downloaded the driver, it infected my laptop. So, I had a great updated laptop for about 10 minutes and then it completely froze me out and more and more unwanted programs kept installing. We tried everything we could think of, for about 8 hrs, last night. We could get into safe mode but weren't able to reset, restore, nothing. So had to call the computer guy this morning to tell him I broke the computer already and need to come back. So.....more money, more time driving back and forth....and hopefully later today I'll have a working laptop again. Ugh.

So, off I go now to take Taz to the park for an hour, then off to drop off the laptop and run errands and hopefully pick the laptop up again later. Cross your fingers this doesn't happen again tonight. Luckily, I found my driver disk so won't be searching for wacom drivers today.

On a happier note, the sun is shining and I'm looking forward to hanging out at the dog park for a bit.

So, have a great day, everyone!

Happy Sunday from a *very* cold and windy day in NJ!
Yikes! I am going to have to put weights on Caitlyn's shoes or she might just blow away. I woke up to snow covering the cars and grass. It was 70* two days ago. Mother Nature is not a happy mama at all.
The good thing is that the sun is shining so it looks less cold than it is ;)

I feel like I wasted so much of yesterday. I got a bit done here and there, but nothing truly *done.* Ever have days like that? I finished a couple of more things with my office, and searched Pinterest for some hair color ideas. My cousin is doing my hair on Thursday and I think i am going to try out a darker base color, and silvery/ash blond highlights. Maybe this will help hide the grey coming in a bit more. If nothing else, it will be a bit different and I can use a change.
I think I am going to go ahead and paint the table. Why the heck not? It can't look any worse than it does right now. It is my gift money and my time. I need a project to make me happy. I deserve it, dammit! :pound:

i didn't get any scrapping done, but I played around with a couple of photos with Nik Collection filters. There is some seriously cool stuff in there. It is over my head in some ways, but I will figure out that I need, and go from there.

Today Caitlyn, Scott and I are going to down to see Gary's grandma for a birthday party for her. She will be 90 on the 6th. She has dementia but as I have said before, lives in the moment and is so happy to see us even if she has no idea who we are. MIL/FIL/SIL/BIL and nieces will be there too.Grandma loves people and chocolate, so this will be a wonderful day for her. I am bringing a tiny Easter Bunny and Hershey kisses and I made her a card with a picture of the 4 of us. I think Leah is following Scott over, but Brendan's g-ma passed away a few days ago and he is going to the wake with his mom. he wasn't close to her at all, I didn't even know he had a G-ma left., neither did Cait! She was his dad's mom and his dad isn't even going today. Such a *messed* up family :(

I hope that everyone has a lovely day and that the sun is shining where ever you are!

Morning O fam! The sun is shining and will hopefully melt the 4" of snow that is covering everything. The freezing temps wilted my magnolia blooms. Makes me happy that spring weather will return! Made for nice photos of the birds at the feeders this morning.

To add to more of my financial insanity- we think the crazy screeching noise coming from Cait's car *might* be a water pump that is going. When she took Brendan to work, it was louder and louder than ever. We don't want her driving it until we get it in a shop. We found a shop a bit farther from the center of town, but it is AAA certified. We have AAA, not sure if that will help with a discount, but I would imagine that to get certified, they have to be good??? *hopeful*

Kat- I am so happy that you got some good sleep, and yay for Delsym max! were you able to get some scrapping done at all? You are lucky to have that bug hit you. Even though I did some LO's for the April Challenges, I really struggled with a lot of them. I will gladly take your 55*, we are going to be at 36* with a Real Feel of 21*! :hurt:
gentle belly ribs for Haddie- if you have coconut oil on hand that is supposed to be good for healing. We used some on Jaida's spaying scar and seems to have done nicely. (BTW- I misspelled Jaida's as Jaid'as- and the spellcheck gave me "Jailbirds" as the Suggestion hahahah, sounds about right :D!!)

Trudy- you are a painting machine! I saw your LO on FB, it all looks amazing! I not-so-secretly wish that you could come here and help me paint
You are so lucky to work well with you Gary. My Gary and I- well,we have different perspectives on how to get things done. He is very precise with everything (except painting- there he is a slob), where i am more laid back. I also get things done, where he will measure and plot out on the computer where everything needs to go... and he is stubborn (again, the Taurus male... and the reason why I refused to have Scott on his Due Date of May 20. Too bad he was born on the 21st- and I got stuck with a Taurus/Gemini Cusp kid ha!!!)
Hope that your weather is fab, and you were able to spend some time outside and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Rae- that is awful about your computers- both of them. Sorry to hear that the computer for Bailey is shot, but hopefully you can find something that will work for her. And yours! That bites!!!! Were you able to get it running again?
I will never understand how people can get off on creating viruses and hacking and all of that bad s***. Hope that you and Taz had a blast at the park!

::grouphug

good morning - just a quick note! Yesterday it was just Luther and I as my DH had work and son in DC. We had good walks and backyard play time as the weather and temperature held for the day. Watched my team play the Lightning and lost 3-1. Then went to bed and was awakened around midnight with a thunderstorm, rain and wind! Lots of wind! And it is still windy and now it is cold 35 with 50-60 mph wind gusts. It is blowing all the blossoms of the trees. Luther and I walked and it was back to winter coats. Today of the the Rock with my son as we have hit the 10 year season ticket holder milestone. We get new jerseys from the Devils and brunch. Should be fun!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday was a much better day. Started off with taking Taz to the dog park where he enjoyed hanging out with a few dogs and then Icko and his mom came (we had arranged to meet up) and as I stood there wondering if Taz would remember one of his best buds from when he was a pup but haven't seen in over a year, the two dogs saw each other and raced to each other, jumping up on two legs and starting playing. They were so excited. They didn't want to play much with other dogs, just wanting to be together. It was wonderful to watch. I couldn't believe that Icko has even more energy than Taz and he wore him out LOL. After 1.5 hrs Taz just stood there looking at me with droopy eyes so I knew he was ready to go. We're going to make sure we get together more often and take the dogs hiking and swimming together.

Then I brought the laptop back to the computer guy who just smiled when I told him what I did and he spent about 20 minutes getting it back to normal. Then he sent me home to load photoshop and lightroom and then install the drivers for my tablet. Then he wanted me to call him and let him remotely go in and tweak all the settings of everything. He moved my LR catalog and a few other things to make it work at its optimum. Wish I could remember what he did but he flies around the computer so fast I can't keep up with what he is doing. Then he walked me through the steps to create a backup which includes my photoshop/lightroom and drivers. He told me where the hidden folder is that he created for the original backup and the second backup I made, so that I could copy to a USB and have that handy along with a backup dvd he had made. So I know have 3 backup copies of the original so if I lose one, or one is corrupted or something, I will have 3 to choose from. The best part is he didn't charge me anything. Just gave me a hug and said that it happens all the time and not to feel stupid about it. So now I have to reload brushes/styles, reconfigure PS and LR as I like it, and then I can get back to scrapping on it. Whew. Glad it all worked out.

Took some photos this morning at 8:00 as I sipped my morning coffee and saw the birds flitting around outside. Taz and I went out onto the porch and I took photos of the birds as he sat quietly and watched them too. I got some shots of him sitting perfectly still, watchful of all their movements. He sure is a bird tracker. I guess that's the lab and (a recessive gene in him) of ducktoller labrador. He gets hyperfocused and still and just his eyes move as he tracks them and then pounces lightening fast at them. Luckily they don't get close enough for him to catch usually (he did get 2 last year though).

Chris - I've said it before but I'll say it again....Brendan is lucky to have your family.

Trudy - I love your page about your refinishing, gorgeous page and gorgeous furniture!

Nancy - enjoy the new jerseys. Our rain is coming back now too but it's been nice to have a few gorgeous warm sunny days (in the low 70's by mid day).

Gotta go get dressed. We're heading out for breakfast at IHOP. It's my hubs' fave thing to do on Sunday morning. They get packed by about 9:40 so we need to get dressed and head over there to beat the rush. If you want to see one of my shots from this morning, one of my robin pics is on FB now.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hey Ladies... so darn dizzy this morning so It has been hard to get on the computer and concentrate enough to write a couple of lines. My pills seem to be starting to work, but the mornings are the worst and I don't think the pollen that is so horrible right now is helping me out at all! Later today I need to run to Walmart and pick up a couple of things. Hopefully not everyone else in the area is doing the same thing.

Chris - Thanks for you nice words about my Vertigo, I am sorry that your Dad has been dealing with a much worse case than I have!! I am not at the point where I am throwing up and I sure hope I don't get there!! I told hubby that it will be interesting to see if when the pollen is done if it makes me feel any better. We have to blow off the deck at least 3 times a day and there is a layer of pollen on absolutely everything around here. Ugh!! Hope that the weather turns warmer again for all of you soon. Heather txt me a photo of her back yard today with about 4 inches of snow :mmph: How lovely that you are going to make an old lady feel loved today!! Your Gary's grandma sounds sweet and Rae is right, Brendan is so lucky to have you caring for him!! Ha, Ha that your Gary sounds very much like mine, stubborn as they come and very meticulous about everything that he does. When he paints I stay away from him, he paints walls far better than any one else I know and when I am refinishing furniture, he stays away from me and just lets me do my thing. However when it come to yard work we both love it and so it is a pleasure to work together at it! My Gary is an Aquarius, so is my Heather. Poor Heather has two Gemini's in her life, and yes there is two people living in one body for both of her guys LOL! My son is a Sagittarius and he is driven to achieve his dreams, but kind and gentle too! Anyway I won't bore you with this any longer LOL!! So Happy that you have decided to go a head and paint your table, I can't wait to see it!!

Laurie - That truly sucks that you have gotten all that snow again!

Nancy - DH is watching his Bruins right now and cringing!! I doubt that they will make the playoffs!! Sounds like you will have a great day with your Devils today!! That is so weird about your thunderstorm last night, what crazy weather!!

Rae - How cute about Taz and his old friend!! So sweet!! What a great computer tech you have!! Hope that you are back to using your laptop for scrapping later on today! Thank you for the compliment on my refinishing page, I am all done the end tables now so should take a photo and post those here too. I think I will take a break from furniture re-dos for a bit now :becky: Still have one more project that I would like to tackle soon though. Have a nice brunch at IHOP, wish we had one here!!

Kat - hope that you are feeling much better now and that you are having a great weekend!!

Ok I am off to do my hair and get to Walmart, have a great Sunday everyone!!

Afternoon ladies. Been a lazy kind of Sunday, but that's fiiiine with me ;) The sun is shining, but oh boy, is there a bite to that wind! Back out with the fleece tops and slippers today! Managed to get a little scrapping done yesterday and i'm back at it this afternoon - have a goal in mind. My shadow companion is right here, next to me, on a footstool that we purchased from IKEA. We have it set in front of the kitchen windows, so she's curled up on there, getting some sun on her back ... snoring. She could really give the boys a run for their money. :pound:
