HELLO LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am on the computer for only a few minutes today...I have mountains of stuff to do!!!

Just wanted to say Hi and hope you all have a fabulous day/weekend!!!

This is suppose to be the Peak weekend for the Fall colors around here...sad to say, that there is NO PEAKING....I drove to Jesse's school yesterday, which was an hour from here...and I was looking everywhere...there is STILL a lot of green, but what is turning is just yellowish brown and some has just fallen off.........BOO....not pretty colors for us this year!!! Normally this would be the weekend me and my parents would go for a drive on the parkway..........They decided to go where there are some colors.......they packed up and headed to the mountains in TN. So maybe my Dad will have some good shots!!

Okay......let me get who came after me yesterday:

Trudy....have a nice weekend off!! and hope you get to see the SIL!!!

Meg.....lots of sporting events!!!! STAY WARM!!!

Hi Vicki

Petra......HOW SCARY!!! My heart would have just fallen out!!!! and TWICE??? Oh wow!!!! I would have taken something too!!! ((HUGS))

Okay...........I think I got everyone!!! Hope you all have a fabulous day!!!

morning all - just a typical get ready to leave for a trip next week, weekend! I am feeling ready this time. Have my lists made! Off to dance soon, then the crossing off the list begins, including making chocolate chip cookies

Nana- I here you about fall colors- I don't get as beautiful near my house as I did when I lived in CNY

Linda- how's your mom

Petra- yikes- that is all I can say- yikes!

Meg- what are todays adventures

Clara- what are your adventures- wonderful gallery run!

Trudy- any hiking this weekend?

Hello to everyone I missed!

Nana- I here you about fall colors- I don't get as beautiful near my house as I did when I lived in CNY

Laurie...we usually do.......One of the reasons I love Fall so much!! the colors look painted on!!! But not this year.......we had all that rain through the mid Summer point which kept everything very green and GROWING GROWING GROWING and then for Fall we have had 90 degree weather all the time...so that kept it green...still....except the trees are saying it;s time to shed...so they leaves are just falling...not turning first!! BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning! Happy weekend. I am here, for a few minutes before I get on to re-steaming cleaning my carpets. I am still smelling cat pee and it is making me CRA-zy!!!!!

Nana- we are having some gorgeous color here in the mts. But when we were in south Jersey the other day, we were amazed at the difference. Still very green there. I would love to get out and about and get some pics.

Hope that you get everything done that you need to and get some great scrap time in as well.

Laurie- what is lymphoderma? I am glad that the clinic was able to help your sis. I do wish that they had something here like that if we can't get the home nurse covered.
I like your Finish It Friday! I was the same ;)

Katrina here is the thread I meant https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18156
we are trying to encourage each other to to move/walk/workout a little bit every day. It is helping me to be accountable. You should join us!
Don't feel bad about being behind on your DD's pages. I still haven't "closed" Caitlyn's Time Capsule from when she was born and she is 12 LOL

Meg- I hope that YMG got in the shooting he wanted to do and the rain help off. You must feel like a new person getting some decent sleep too. If you are feeling sick-- I swear by taking garlic pills. They are all all natural anti-viral and anti-biotic. When I feel a cold coming on, a take handfuls and it goes away very quickly.

Trudy- what movie did you watch? We watched "Crash" the other night. pretty darn depressing look at human nature.....

Sally- your are even luckier then me. i love having my hairdresser come to the house but it is not relaxing at all. But a pedi! oooooh!! Fab! How are the allergies today? Were you able to get all of your sewing done that you needed too?

Katrina- I hate winter too and being cold is the pits!! I put plastic over all of my windows, I use a few wall hanging/quilts over some really drafty places. I also walk around in my "terrorist hat" (You can go back a few days of daily oos to see the pics/story hahah!), layer up lots of socks/sweater coats etc. I also have a microwave heat pack that I'll warm up and sit with it on my back or put it by my feet when i am in bed.
The other thing that you can do it look into state or county assistance. when we were waiting for Gary's SS Disability hearing we were living on my one very pitiful PT salary and a loan from my IL's. swe were eligible for assistance through our country and they paid a portion of our oil and electric bill each month. In NJ it is called HEAP Home Energy Assistance Program- it might be the same for where you are. It can't hurt to apply.

Clara- I saw your pics on FB- looks like you had so much fun!! Good luck to your brother and the house. Have a blast at the Choc Facotry! Don't chew any gum or drink any chocolate or the Oompa Loompas will get you

Meg- otters! How cute!

Vicki- so with you and Laurie on that-- I didn't think I was going to make it til dinner last night.

Petra! Oh my goodness- I am glad that those two incidents turned out ok. So scary! I am always amazed by the stupidity of some driver, esp in the rain/snow. I can only imagine how many more you must see on a daily basis. I don't know if it is just me being more aware of it, but I seem to be seeing more and more accidents lately. I mean, on an avg 40 minutes trip (anywhere I want to go outside of the center of town where I live takes about 40 min's LOL) I see 1-2 accidents, almost every time!
Its crazy. Are people just worse drivers? Too many people ont he road? Or is it just people being impatient and/or thinking that if they are in an SUV they are invincible?

oops- sorry for the soapbox, I thought that you guys hid that from me???

Better get going, and get my house cleaned and the rugs steamed if I ever want some relax time this weekend.

My whole post just erased on me!

Beautiful morning here. I got to sleep in for the first Saturday in 2 months! I'm going to try to scrap a page before we are off and running. 2 soccer games, DH has to return the popcorn Woo Hoo!(did I mention we were popcorn kernel for our cub scout pack this year?) Then off to drop the kids off at seperate houses (first time ever separating them all overnight and having an empty house!) Then we are off to our adults only party. Hmm maybe we should just skip the party! hehe.

personals:

Clara: Oh yeah now I remember Leavenworth. You guys went there yearly and canped there too. Didn't you bring Aidsha one year? We never did make it. But that's ok cause WI has tons of cute German towns!
Also I am going to apply for walmarts photo center. I think I'd like working there. They are hiring seasonal right now. The manager is super nice. I hate posed pictures (that's why I've started my own photo shoots with the kids), but oh well. Not to say it would be stressful with "oh don't cry honey" and sleeping babies and fidgeting kids. I've been through it all though!

Trudy: Love love love Friday movie nights. It's a tradition in our house. Everyone eats in the living room (typically pizza) and then all 5 of us curl up on the couch! Thanks to netflix we get to watch a new movie every week and I love introducing old movies to the kids!

nana: I hated going to the social security office. Just the wait alone was enough to keep me away!

Meg: does your husband hunt? Mine took me to the range with his Ruger many years back. It was quite fun. He let me shoot his shotgun too! I ended up with a bruise for a week!

Scrap for hire? Wow that sounds like so much fun!!!! I could so do that! Unfortunately I am not much of a business person. I have tried Party lite, Scent air, and then starting my own petsitting business. I thought that would take off. Unfortunately there's a gal in the area who started a couple years ago and is booming and has a great reputation. I though I could make a friend and maybe she would network with me. Nope she was quite rude. But I will definitely think about it! Where do I find info on it? The abreviation is lost on me!

Dutch Diva(sorry I don't know your name): You and your husband drive semi together? My husband always jokes that when he retires that's what we'll do. I tell him it can't happen cause I'll have too many horses to look after by then! Ha that's only in my dreams though. I love thunderstorms in AZ. They are the best thing ever! You just can't match them. I am from Phoenix!

Nana Linda -- You need to come over here!! The colors are AMAZING over here, I wasn't expecting it!

Laurie -- Football and soccer! I'm hoping to get some great pictures to scrap :)

Chris -- I'm SUPER allergic to garlic, it'll have me throwing up at 2am. Unfortunately, the only thing I can do is load up on vitamins. I can't have cold medicine because of my heart.

Katrina -- digital shop talk, lol, don't worry about not knowing the abbreviation, I didn't know it two months ago! GL at the games! My dad didn't understand why I said no to buying popcorn -- the cheapest item was $18?!?! really? We'd rather donate gear or something to their troop.
Yeah, Jeff hunts -- well, would like to. He took this year off so we could come visit family and pay down his student debt. Last night he was up until 2am watching The Outdoor Channel's video on demand about hunting, lol.

Opps forgot Petra! -- Oh my goodness, people honestly need to learn how to drive!!!! I wish the DMV made people concentrate more on extreme weather driving. You're lucky to have your hubby to switch off with :)
The dragon is to the north of Yreka, on the east side just like the cow. It's easy to miss because there's like an outcropping of rocks right before you see him. You pretty much can't see him until you're side by side if you're heading north.

On to me :)

Well, I stayed home with my sister last night instead of going to the football game, yay!! We watched the third shrek movie.
Today's soccer and football, in the rain! I'm definitely bundling up!! My aunt and uncle from Seattle are here with their two little ones, it's a full house.
Like I said in personals -- the DH stayed up super late watching hunting shows on the fios video on demand. We don't get it back home, so he's trying to get as much in as possible!! So, I finished getting my shop ready to open when I get home next week... zen cart is confusing!! But I did manage to at least fulfill my store collab requirements. I have a kit I need to finish, but I'm stuck on the theme... I have all the papers done, and one or two elements, but nada when it comes to the rest.

Have a great day ladies!!!

Happy Weekend everyone !! Not too much planned for today except cleaning the house and :washing: Also have to take down some of the blinds in the bathrooms to clean, they are getting pretty yukky!! I hate cleaning them, but when I do DH does the windows for me so that's a bonus!

Nana Linda - I am sorry the colors did not show up in your area this year, you should come for a visit here they are glorious right now, but won't last much longer as we are expecting big winds today so I am sure they will blow the leaves off of the trees.

Laurie - Going on another trip? Lucky you, I can't convince my hubby to leave this Island, unless it involves visiting the kids (all out of province). We are hoping to do a short hike this weekend when we head up to the In-Laws on Sunday, they only live about 20 miles from us and we would like to hike up to the old mill site in their town.

Chris - We watched Six Wives, with Tim Allen in it. Don't bother watching, it was really bad!! Hopefully next time we will choose better!

Katrina - Yea, for sleeping in  I love to sleep in on the weekend!! I slept until
8:30 today, usually I am up at 6:00am. So nice and warm in my bed...love it!!

Petra - Oh my gosh, I don't know what I would have done if that happened to me, but I am sure you are a much better driver than I am so I am sure you handle stuff like that better than I would. I tend to be on the very cautious side while driving and do not understand why everyone feels they need to drive so fast??? Better to get where you are going in one piece, then to drive like a maniac and not get there at all!
Ok, enough of that  Hope you have a great weekend and no more accidents!

Meg - Can't wait to see what you come up with for your shop! Nice that you spent some time with your sister, it's always good to connect with family again. Hope you are enjoying your vacation!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone

@katrina :pound: :rofl:
*gasp for breath*

Yesterday a friend posted on FB a complaint that her husband would *not* wear stockings and she was very aggravated at him.
These have to be the best 2 posts ever!

double stick tape works for holding things up, if you don't have the type made for bodies- I found it at the container store ( stocking stuffer section) and use it all the time to keep my bra from peeking out of my dance outfits!

Soccer game went well, the rain kept off until the very end. Football game was awesome, went into overtime, but one of our guys was injured right as we won. He'll be fine, the medics responded and took him to the ER as a precaution.

Steaks tonight!

sounds like you had fun meg- I'm trying to get up the energy to go sit in the hot tub with the full moon and look for shooting stars!

yes I do- it means changing and taking the lid off and turning all the house lights off so the stars will show in the sky- & convincing mr gorgeous who has been a slug since dance lessons!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But well worth the end result....the kids had a BLAST last night!!! That makes me a happy nana!!! Hard work paid off!! And those kids should all have slept well last night!!! I managed to get it all cleaned up and then I melted onto the couch. The best part about it not being very cold yet (as it normally would be) they all got to play outside and did not trash the house...HAHA!!!

I am like Jello this morning....good grief...I am getting old!!! I am drinking LOTS AND LOTS OF COFFEE today!!

Okay...be back in a few for some persnonal love!!

First.............. I am coming to visit you all...you have all the colors!!! :tea:

Laurie....you are so my hero...to be ready so in advance to leave....I NEVER ready until right before I get out the door!!! DID YOU AND THE SLUG make it to the hot tub and stars and moon???

Chris....OH MY....as much as you have been cleaning carpets lately...you are going to suck all the fibers out...poor dear!! I wish you lived close I would send my guy...he is cheap and GOOD!!! He would get it all out in one shot!!! YOU TOTALLY SHOULD GET OUT AND TAKE SOME PICS TOO!!!! TAKE SOME FOR ME!!!

Katrina...........woot!!! adults only!! sounds fun....and wow the first time!!!! WTG!!! When my DH and I got married...we had 5 girls between us...ranging age 2-10...we made a pact to take a weekend once every two months for ourselves for our sanity!! WE DID TOO!!! Somehow...we never get too much now that we don't have any kids at home and have grandchildren over every weekend....hmmmmmm...how did that happen??

OH AND THE SS OFFICE WAS SMOOTH THE OTHER DAY....THANK GOODNESS...IN AND OUT!!!

Meg.....sounds like your trip is going great...LOVE SHREK...I have all three of those movies!! And YAY for getting the store done...your collab requiremtent looks great!! YIKES ON THE FOOTBALL INJURY..glad he was okay!!

Hi my loves!!!

I hear ya on the pooped out part Nana! I steam cleaned for several more hours and mopped and scrubbed, and then, dammit, the dog peed!

Today my mom is coming up for b-fast and bagels. Then I am going to do a bit of housework, and I am taking the afternoon off!!!

Awwwww Linda!!!! She is the sweetest Dorothy that ever was!! Complete with ruby slippers, you are the best Nana!! Hope that you are having a more relaxing day today!

Chris I think that you may have to just get rid of the carpet in your house, before you completly clean all the fibre out of it LOL!!

Heading to Mother and Father-in-laws today for supper and to visit with Sister-in-law while she is up there for couple of days. Yay I don't have to cook...love it! :rain: here today and lots of wind last night so the leaves are all over the place, guess that means winter will not be too far behind. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

HEHEHE!! Thanks girls...

Trudy!!! I missed you in my personals before...HOW DID I DO THAT??? Guess I am going to have to just come and visit!! HEHE!! Did you get your "yucky" blinds clean...and better yet...the windows?? Have a great visit with the MIL and SIL!!!!

CHris......Ya know my answer to this problem don't ya?? OOOPS...sorry...OH EM GEE!!! Don't know how you deal with it!!!!!!!! AND YES YES TAKE THE AFTERNOON OFF SWEETIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUPER CUTE LINDA!!!! AWWWWWW!!!!!

Today we're going to my dad's church, then Jeff gets to see my dad's boss' trophy room... aka a bunch of dead animals. Not sure what else is going to happen today, but I'm going to try and plan out our trip to the Lewis & Clark historic park tomorrow -- and figure out how to survive the storm!

Windows are sparkling clean and so are the blinds...my man is the best!! I am so lucky he loves to clean things, kind of a neat freak, but that's ok by me:peace:
