We had fun chatting with Sally last night!! Sorry if you missed out!!!
But make sure you are there on Friday!!!

I think Cameran has set up camp here at my house!! He told his Mom yesterday he was staying here all week!! LOL!! He says since school starts on Monday, he won't be able to spend the night very much, only on weekends. All Summer he has spent at least one night during the week here!!

BIG storm here yesterday afternoon....WOW a lot of rain fell in a short time!! and Sharon left her sunroof open at lunch....no need to say anymore!!

So how is everyone winding the Summer up?? I am hoping to go to the lake this week...we have not been all Summer. Although it really seems Summer JUST started...GEEZ...how does time fly by so fast ??

Alrighty ladies....have a FANTASTIC day today!!!

Good morning. Quick drive by here. Got a call at 4:30 yesterday afternoon from Mom. She wanted to know if I had tried to call since I usually do on my way home. I said that I was still at work. Ok, well she just wanted me to know they weren't home. "Where are you?" At the ER with blood clots in her leg! Argh...hospital is 10 minutes from work. They have kept her overnight and probably a couple of more days. Think its a result of the cancer meds that she takes. Definitely living the sandwich generation.

Have her on meds to thin the blood which will stop more clots from forming but won't break up these clots...just need a few weeks for that. So, off to the hospital, then to work, then to the hospital, then to soccer practice, then back to the hospital.

Prayers and good thoughts appreciated!

Happy Tuesday Linda!
I bet C-man is going to go through some huge Nana withdrawal. But is Nana going to be going through a bigger grand kid w/drawal? ;)
(I think she is.....)

I hear ya on the way the summer is flying. Two weeks left for us. I lost it yesterday. Just so much crap going on, and I always hope that the summers will bring me some respite, but it doesn't seem to happen. I am tired, cranky, hormonal and hating myself for not being able to get out of it. I went upstairs to talk to Gary, sat on his lap and proceeded to cry all over him. It wasn't pretty

But I was able to make it to the lake for a couple of hours and just getting out of the house and away from it all helped a bit.

Today I am off to food shop (ugh- I am soooo sick of food! And picky kids!) then an old friend of ours is dropping her DD off for a few hours. Dottie lived down the street from me and she and another couple all had kids the same ages and did just about everything together until the other families moved. Shannon and Cait still keep in touch and they miss each other like crazy. My friend's mom lives nearby and she has to take her mom to the dr so she asked if Shannon could come over for a bit. Of couuuuurrrrse!! So we'll head to the lake for a few hours, then MIL is picking Cait and Scott up to go back to her house, go to some reptile show and stay overnight.
A busy day but the sun is shining and I have :tea:

Tip for Tuesday:
If you have not seen Andrea's (mrsaboyer) facebook page, you must go see it. She has some pics of Vince's homecoming on there and they are so precious. I started crying all over again just from the expression on his face. Oh boy...here I go again....

I;d better get going before I blubber all over my new keyboard and kill this one too.....

Linda S- So sorry to hear about your mom! Big hugs and lots of clot busting thoughts for her.
And don't you love the blase attitude? My dad was in the hospital for a few days w chest pains etc a couple of years ago. We were in PA and did they even call? No- they didn't want to "worry me."

And I hear ya on the sandwich generation. 2 weeks ago I had to blackmail my son and mom to go to drs. Scott was refusing to go to a different Lyme dr and my mom has gout but refused to go to the dr even though she could barely walk. I had to be totally evil and made them each agree that if the other one went to the dr, so would they. (That sounds so grammatically incorrect but I don't know how else to say it!)
But yeah- it was like "how did I end up in the middle trying to get both of them to their own drs?? And when did that happen??

Morning all - Prayers for you LindaS

I am enjoying this vacation, I really needed to get away to assess where I am in life and where I am going- It is a gorgeous day on the mountain today. I went to the main lodge for coffee with dh before he left for a day of golf- I am scrapping and yes doing laundry today- the hazards of an extended time from home, but i have a good book to read while doing the laundry. No back to school for me, only one to college and he never really came home, so it is not like I need to get him ready- I am not a helicopter parent. My parents died long ago, dh parents live 14 hrs one way and we are not involved in the decision making- his parents set it up that way, so that is why they are no longer 7 hours away where we could visit them more often than every year. Okay enough, off to play on the computer and do some layouts for Sally's designer spotlight

Good Morning all... its a beautiful Tuesday morning and I finally have a couple of minutes with the computer all to myself :whoo: DH had a three day weekend and DD is still visiting so whenever we were not busy doing other things, they were fighting over the use of the computer....hello what about me??:boink:LOL. Today DD and I are going to the Calico Cat tea house for lunch with Aunt Linda and Aunt Betty. We are also having our tea leaves read, should be a fun girls day  We have not been home much, trying to squeeze in as much beach time as we can before DD goes back to Ontario .

Laurie: Hope that you can get to where you need to be in life, its wonderful that you can have the time to think about all you need to
I too am without parents, but DH's live only 1/2 hr. away and love to see us as much as we can arrange to get there.

Chris: Sometimes a good cry is the best way to get all of the bad out of our bodies, hope that you are feeling better soon, wish I could :boxing: those lyme bugs right out the door for you!

LindaS: Sorry to hear about your mom, hope that she is fighting those clots and will send out good thoughts to both of you today.

NanaLinda: How sweet that your Cameran wants to stay with his Nana!! Sounds like he will miss you lots when school starts again, and you will be sad without him also:sad:. Yes the summer is quickly flying by so get out and enjoy every minute!! It will soon be winter :smow: (did I say that out loud??) :tape::laugh:. BTW thanks again for the Standing O...you made my day!

i had this huge giant post on my phone earlier that i swear i spent an hour writing and then it was gone. ugh! well, now i have about 30 seconds before someone comes barging in wondering where i am at since i snuck in some computer time at my friend's house. so i just thought i'd say hi real quick and say love you all!! I'll try and post tomorrow with all of our fun or silly adventures that seem to be our way of life these days...usually lots of grown male temper tantrums seem to be involved, but they aren't too bad and generally make me kinda laugh. Anyway, I am off. I'll chat tomorrow I hope.
