Soooo....I'm thinking about going back to school...again LOL. I have been saying for yrs how I'll never go back. But yesterday I got a notice in the mail about a new degree program at a local college...it's a BS in Psychology and Counseling. You only go 1 evening a wk for 4 hrs so it's not a strain. It's a little pricey but I can probably get a scholarship based on my previous grades. I'm getting excited about it LOL. We'll see, maybe I'll come to my senses, but really isn't learning and doing what life's about? Who knows, I might end up with a career change LOL.

LindaW-Hope your day is dry today! How were the little ones yesterday? Did they enjoy the cupcakes?

LindaP-Hope today is fog-free for ya :). You are such a busy beaver, pickling, gardening, and all. And now school fixing to start, that's always an exciting time.

ME-LOL about the boogie-ing! You'll have to video that and save for future blackmail material and to show his future gf ;).

Tali!!!!! (((hugs))) we've been missing you! I completely understand about the busy summer, I remember those LOL. Hope your little one's ear gets better soon!

Kat-LOL on the no computer!! What a slick trick haha, that's just too cute :).

Nee Nee-WTG on the 5ks! I used to love running and walking..running always hurts my shins but I loved it anyway...at least when I was young LOL. Now it's all I can do to force myself to walk. I have got to get on an exercise program...I am such a procrastinator. Keep us informed about your progress!!

Clara-LOL on getting kicked out of daycare! I mean, it's not funny, but it's funny KWIM? Maybe she'll do better in the new class :).

Sandra-life's a whirlwind, isn't it?! Just go-go-go and go some more. Glad the kids are enjoying school so far. That makes it easier to work. Hope today is a little less hectic for you :).

Hey, I'm going back to school starting the 31st. Yesterday I got word that everything is a go. I have about 27 credit hours that are transferrable, so one year. I should have my associates in a year, and then my bachelor's in three, in Early Childhood Education. I always wanted to get my degree, and now it looks like in my early 40's it will get done.

So I'm finally beginning to feel normal again. Saw the doctor again yesterday and she reassured me that there's absolutely nothing wrong with me, that this was just one of those things that happens. Vince and I had decided that we weren't having any more kids anyway, but now we think we may see if we can give it another go. Probably when he comes home from Afghanistan for R''n'R. LOT of babies conceived during R'n'R! And I know that Vince will really appreciate trying.... LOL. Anyway, I'm feeling like I'm going to be fine, still sort of sad, of course, but.. well. No use dwelling on it forever, ya know?

Thanks everybody for being so awesome to me.

I think I'm going to break down and buy Hollie's JunkYard kit.

Well today is dreary and raining....I have little black ants that have invaded my kitchen and have me at my wits end! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They just keep coming! I sprayed outside and it isn't making a difference - the Ant traps.....they have decided to go up and over them *LOL* so they are no use. I found out that if you mix 3 parts dishsoap to 1 part water it instantly kills them so I made up a bottle and Nick has been on "Ant Duty" forever now. He is squirting my whole kitchen. Luckily it's just soap and water :)

Tomorrow is an important (SCARY) day for me.....I am off to meet with Nick's new school about his nut allergy. They will have his teacher, School Nurse and Principal there. Everyone who watched what I went through last year can tell you I was a hot mess! The Pre-K didn't have anything ready nothing - it was a nightmare.

His new school his kindergarten seems to be on top of things there are things in place all ready and really wanting to make an effort to keep him safe. So fingers crossed for me ladies.....I want this meeting to go well so that I can sleep at night :)

Right now I have a headache and my stomach is all icky just thinking about tomorrow :) So I will be scarce today!

Morning, my dear sweet O fam!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi!! I live at the O right now...although I don't seem to post everyday; wonder what's up with that!! at this rate, I'll be at 8000 for the rest of my life!! gosh!! (said in my best Napoleon Dynamite voice!!)

So today is another wild day...we are picking up Quentin at noon, going to my friend Megan's house, playing in her photography studio, then running Quentin back to a bday party, then meeting my mom here at 4:30 to play in my craft room for an hour, then Quentin is off to football which I stay at until 8pm (see my facebook for very funny videos of Lillian pontificating about football and life in general at the football practice!) then come home and scrap, scrap, scrap!! yay!!!
(we all thought life revolved around me, but now we all know it's quentin that is at the center!!!)

ohhhh...i need to put my turkey in the crockpot so we have dinner tonight! yike!! brb...

okay...dinner's on! wohooooo!!

Dawn, thanks for getting things started here...and with freebies! whoa! I'm glad to see you like to keep Chris's tradition of date confusion!! LOL!! I'm thinking it's the 13th only cause it's the last day I get to be 39 for real!! LOL!!! I've been counting down these days for a while now...I'm totally excited for your new "career" possibilities!! Good morning ladies. Not much going on here today. Crazy, I know. I just finished watching The Soloist. It is an amazing movie although heartbreaking. After watching all the extras it really made me think about all the people who are homeless and that all of them have a story and that many of them are homeless because of mental illness and there is no place else for them to be. Homelessness is almost easier for them. It is so sad. My mom has a friend who has a son who is schizophrenic and he usually lives on the streets because there is no place else for him. he is a very large guy and when he gets agitated he hurts people so he can't really live in a home or with his parents for safety reasons. It is so sad that people have to live that life.

So, I checked out Dawn's freebies and those are awesome. There is nothing quite like large amounts of quality free stuff. I remember the days when I would only scrap with free stuff and it was hard because anyone can give away something for free and you really have to search out good free stuff. A lady from my church has started dabbling in digiscrap and I have been passing along good freebie sites to her. i totally passed this along to her.

Well, I have been commisioned to go get coffee. I have a buy one get one coupon so I get a free coffee if I go get one for someone else. Whoohoo!! I'll be back.

very quick from me....I have been running all day!! Got my hair done...dr appt....got Cameran so Mommy could go to the dr....NO BABY YET.....and now I am off to an eye dr appt.....WHEW................

Dawn....Wow!! thanks for the freebie alert...I peeked real quick and oh my!!! going back to take a closer look!!! OH HOW WONDERFUL about going back to school!! I admire you for that!!! and PROUD of you too!! and nothing wrong with a career change...how exciting!! and thanks for asking...we didn't do cupcakes...we went to BK for milkshakes and some playtime...Jesse and Cameran played...and Jaiden and Traci and me had milkshakes...YUM!! and she LOVES them!!!

Andrea....I am glad you got a clean slate from the DR....and that' wonderful you want to try again...and YAY for you too on school...I think you are doing a wonderful thing getting your degree...I wish I had gone back to get my 4 year degree...I only got my associates....but I hated my field (accounting) so I just never had a desire to finish that!!....I never did figure out what I wanted to be when I grow up!! and ITA about Hollie's new kit...I have been eyeing it too....I have several photos that would be perfect with it!!

Kat...too cute about Nick being on ANT DUTY....stinks you have ants....I am the BUG BE GONE QUEEN...if i see just one....it's game on with those little suckers....THE VERY BEST STUFF FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING is Ortho Home Defense....I spray around the entire perimeter of the house inside and then outside....about 5-7 days...I do it again....NO BUGS anymore....It comes in a gallon with a pump sprayer attached....IT WORKS!!! Your little man is lucky to have you!! and the school too...they sound very prepared and I know that they will care for him so well... I know that stomach feeling...and I know you too will do just fine!! ((((HUGS))))....we are here for you!!

Sally....wow...you just amaze me!! and sorry I am such a goof!! your b-day being tomorrow...HEHEHEHEHE!!! and let me tell you....40's are just FABULOUS...you are going to love them!!!! I do!!! Clara....that 's aweful about your Mom's friend's son....I know that his family can't help him.....and I find myself questioning life about this type of situation...seems so unfair!! I hate to see anyone hurt...and I know that he hurts and his family!!! Hope your coffee was good!!

I'm home... Will started the morning with drama and we even had a little from Piper... but they got off to school and seemed to have a good day... I worked til 5:45 this afternoon and came home and made pizza grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner... nice and easy... now the kids are fighting over a blanket and Matthew is screaming his head off! Gabe's going out of town tomorrow so it will definitely be interesting!

Dawn - it's funny that you mention going back to school... I'm thinking of going back and getting a teaching degree... it would be nice to work and then be home when the kids are home... no daycare while they're little and then more time to do things when we're on the same schedule!

Just a quick drive by from me tonight. I just got off the lawn mower - it was getting too dark to see where I needed to mow.

Thanks to all who voted for my team. We won the reward challenge and immunity at tribal council this week! All of this weeks' full challenge kits (there are four total. Right now only three have been posted) will be available here for free download. But they won't last long!

Yay for going back to school!

Linda....That's what I used....and the ants aren't even bothered! I have never had a problem with that before....ortho usually stops all the bugs. These pesky guys are killing me :)

no one was hurt... we were lucky... in 1977, several people died... I was too small to remember that fire though...
