I am so glad that we didn't have work/school today. we really wouldn't have been able to anyway. I have no idea ATM how much snow we have, it is just blowing all over. But its a lot. And man, the wind was whipping. I woke up around midnight (ok- the kids woke me up with their jumping around!) and when I went upstairs to make sure they were ok they had been telling me that so many of their freinds in town are w/o power. It was a *great* feeling to wake up this morning and hear the heat kick on....
The kids have a dr's appt for check ups today. Its right in town but I am not sure if I can get out of the driveway. we'll have to see.
Hope everyone on the east coast is warm and toasty and safe!
And Helen, you can just .......(fill in the blank)........ for all of your sunny and warm pics!!!

Good morning Laurie. I hope the day at work is quiet. Did you get your two miles on the treadmill. That sounds like a terrific idea.
Glad you have power Chris! We got snow over the weekend but no wind so it didn't blow. That is the way that I find snow tolerable. Brian did get me Yaktraks for Christmas but haven't needed them yet.
I took today off and I'm so glad that I did. I don't think that I could have faced work. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday seem doable.
Sydney has gymnastics camp this morning. Other than that, no real plans.

At the gas station, headed to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Today's my (estranged) mom's birthday, so we left her a jar of my vanilla extract and a jar of my vanilla infused sugar at her door this morning.
Prayers for the road. Jeffs insisting on driving. I'm going to insist on driving from the theme park to the ranch, that's scarier than I-5.

HI ladies!!!
I don't know about you guys...but I am glad this holiday had ended!! It' has been a very miserable one for me this year!! Any traditional things we did this year just felt like "going through the motions". I know that so much of this had to do with me being sick....speaking of which...I totally relasped on Christmas eve night...and Christmas day was soooooo sick!!! yesterday not a lot better.....we had all of our children and grandchildren here...I forced myself to push through and get it all done....SOOOOO...now it's all over!! and this morning I still feel like crud...but it's not quite as bad....CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?? WHY CAN'T I GET ANY BETTER!!! IT'S BEEN THREE WEEKS OR LONGER!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay....so for the good stuff.....Mike and I both just got money and gift cards this year from everyone...that is nice....we are both off this week...so later in the week when I feel better AND I WILL FEEL BETTER...we are going shopping and out to eat and to the movies!! A WHOLE DAY!!! YAY!!! I am excited about that!!! One of the cards Sharon gave me was for a pedicure!! WOOOOOOT!! We are going to wait until early spring and go together.....LOVE THAT!!!! And Mike and I are set for eating out for the next 3 months!! and he and I will go get us a little something for Christmas from each other when we go out....we usually wait. Even being sick...I loved being at my Mom's on Christmas day and then yesterday we had a wonderful day with the kids...Alison and Brian only came in for one night...so they left when we were done...but they will be back this weekend, because Jacob stayed behind to spend the week with his cousins from Alison's Mom's family....and GET THIS....Cameran went back with them to TN to spend the week with Hayden......AAAACCCKKKK!!! My little man has never been away before!!!!
Okay....I guess I am making up for my absence...and writing a book...sorry!!!

Chris.....we ended up with about 4 inches of snow...but it was calm and warmed some yesterday...so the roads were clear in no time...but today it is SOOOOOOOOOO cold and the wind is gusting up to 60 mph...it feels like the house is going to blow down!!! DON"T OVER DO IT!!!!! and HAHAHA...about Helen...I am not even mad at her anymore about her pics...I just want to be with her!!!!!

Good MONDAY morning EVERYONE!!!!!! (yep, I'm yelling and jumping up and down all excited-like!!!!)
Today is such a great day!!!! All of you on the East Coast, stay tucked in and holed up!!! Chris, you need to just scrap all day on that computer of yours!!! I thought of all of you last night when they CANCELLED Sunday Night Football!!!!!!! Apparently, Kat's city was so deluged last night, they didn't want the public out on the street!! (sounds like something they'd do when it barely rained in Houston...Houston drivers do NOT know how to drive in anything but searing heat!!) So I thought of all of you getting that major blizzardy weather...while under my silk comforter in my tempurpedic bed!!!! Yep...that's called rubbing it in.
I'm feeling great today! My usual monday faire!! loving the fresh start...and the extra 5 days still of December!! so much to plan for the new year!! and I have 5 days to do it!! yipeeeee!!
This afternoon I'm meeting my bff with her daughter to get our girlie's ears pierced (Emma - 11- needs to get hers re-pierced) I'm thinking of getting an extra piercing on my ear lobe...what do you think??? it's the artist in me...i know it is!!

I just get in bed and do NOTHING!!! well, there may be a laptop around...but you are a Nana...you haven't been able to completely stop!! You have to, darling. Otherwise you'll be like my Q...still sick!! (He doesn't like to stop either!!!) (*off of Chris's soapbox...glad it folds open and closed for me, too!!*) You just sit and eat bonbons all day, hun!! You, too, have my permission! LOL!!!!

I came in to write and check on everyone and then Derek came down and said "Where do you want to eat?" So that means hurry up and get off the computer. 
but at the same time. I love to go out to eat. Christmas was good although I have been feeling kinda sickly since. I stayed in bed watching tv and napping until 4ish the day after Christmas until Addie came in playing the Harmonica and woke me up. Then I finally got my butt out og bed. This morning I realized I smelled horrible and got up and showered and joined the land of the living. So, I'm off to go out to eat and I will hopefully come back later and share more. Hopefully tomorrow I will be headed to Michigan to see some family for a few days. that would be awesome. Anyway...big Christmas hugs to all of you. I am still feeling a bit of the Christmas spirit here and thought I'd share. Love you all!!

Well....Sal....did you get your new piercing??? Thanks for the bon bon pass!!! I did stay on the sofa most of the day...I took a lot of naps and drank a lot of coke!! Still did not eat much....My MG sat in his chair with me all day...AWE!!! It was just too windy to go out and do anything....the gusts were terrible!! Anyway...I finally...after way over two weeks, scrapped a page....it took me all day long...I could not just sit and scrap until it was done...but I got my 2010 Page in Review Faves done...YAY!!!! You must have a lot of planning for New Years...are you having a big party???

Clara...OH MY...How do you stay in bed until 4??? I would be miserable!!! Sounds like a great time in Michigan..hope nothing messes that up....I know you want to see some family!!!! Be safe and have fun!!!!
Laurie....Well...they ruled out the pneumonia two weeks ago, they took xrays...they said I just had a lot of congestion....they gave me some steroids to help and antibiotics...I got better but then it all came back!!!! UUUGGGHHH!!! I am back to OTC's right now...I need to go back to the DR...but I did not want to go out in that aweful wind today. It makes my chest burn so bad....I did switch to zyrtec today....it seems to be helping better than what I was taking...and I do have a huge bottle of cough syrup the doctor prescribed two weeks ago...so that helps with the cough.
MG is about to throw me out though...I have been coughing for over a month now....he said today that he thinks it is time for me to STOP IT!! Bwhahahahaha!!! I told him I thought so too!!! He has been waiting on me today all day....and the house is so quiet!!!!
