Ok, I don’t see @faerywings on so I’m going to open the thread.
Maybe because I was on my iPad. Sorry about that but thanks for merging. And thanks for being so unbelievably faithful for all of these years to open the Daily O’s!I'm here! I was typing away, not sure why I wasn't visible. I'll merge the thread
1. I love opening up the Ooo so no need to thank me.Sorry about that but thanks for merging. And thanks for being so unbelievably faithful for all of these years to open the Daily O’s!
This made me smile for so many reasons. But the main reason is I kept telling the hygienist sorry when I’d swallow or forget to keep my mouth open far enough. She said, “Stop saying you are sorry. You have nothing to be sorry about.”Linda-- good luck at the dentist, glad that Brian is taking you so you don't have to make that long drive by yourself if you aren't feeling well.

2. Don't apologize! I always say that anyone can open the threads and I am thrilled that you did.
I read an article last night about over-apologizers. I am *horrible* about that, my family teases me that I say "Sorry" to everyone about everything. And I do. I am going to be more conscious of that. If I can find that article, I'll link it here.
Oh, I am looking forward to the page of the beaver and the lodge! It's a gorgeous morning here and I wish I could send the weather to everyone. Sunny, 73*, and the humidity isn't all that bad ATM. Key phrase: ATM. As the day progresses, it will be a normal NJ summer day: Hazy, Hot, and Humid, the same as it was yesterday.
I am really happy that I went out for the hike yesterday morning. It was hot walking the trail to get into the woods, but once I was in there, it was much cooler. Still grossly humid but that was worse because of the heavy rains the day before so everything was wet and muddy.
Even though I was sweaty and muddy, and now have scratches on my leg, I came home very excited. I had watched up to the beaver lodge-- and I saw a beaver!! I was at the edge of the water and was looking for the frog and birds I could hear in the marshy areas. As I look at the lodge itself, I thought I saw a log floating past- and quickly realized it wasn't a log when I heard a loud splash. If you haven't heard a beaver slap its tail close by, believe me, they are *loud.* I must have watched that cutie swim back and forth for such a long time. I got a few photos and videos too. I was so excited when I saw him that I wasn't paying attention to my feet and scratched my leg on a branch.
After that, I kept watching a little farther up the trail and checked out some cool mushrooms and plants. Turned around, went back to the lodge to see if the beaver was still out (he was not), and managed to scratch my leg on the same darn branch. Parallel 3" scratches on my shin. Smart-- *taps forehead*
It turned out that Cait had to work late last night so it was just me and Gary at dinner time. I made buffalo chicken wraps (vegetarian for Caitlyn) so the kids could "grab and go" when/if they were hungry.
I am cleaning this morning and this afternoon I need to get all of the boxes labeled and ready to put at the curb tomorrow morning.
and that's it!
Have a wonderful day!
Hope the dentist appointment went well!I have an 8:00 dentist appointment so we are out of the house very early. It is an hour to the dentist butI wasn’t ready to find a new one until we figured out the gum disease and got the cavities filled. Then maybe I can do a routine cleaning to get to know someone else.
Brian is driving me because I didn’t feel great after they numbed me up and then planed my roots. Whatever that means. They only did the right side and so, today we do the left side. WooHoo! Then back to work as fast as I can go!

I agree with you! No car of mine will do its own driving.... not on my command, anyway! That's just too scary!I took the car out yesterday at lunch and have promised myself that I will drive it daily until I get it all figured out. @vickyday the guy said that if you had your cruise control on, it would actually drive itself. We will never know!
@faerywings I love your hike to see the beaver. We saw one last fall when we were in NC and it was much more fun than watching them at the zoo.
@vickyday love the fact that you had to come inside from the balcony because it was chilly. That doesn’t really compute with the high temps we have been experiencing.
Ok, we are at the dentist. Sad face…I’ll catch you all on the way back home.
Oh my gosh, Linda, that last paragraph made my blood run cold. Daisy wasn't bothered, but the other two were. Little Lila had a seizure about midnight and I KNOW that's what triggered it. Yes, I'm looking forward to some downtime. We all went out to dinner last night - kind of a last hurrah. Kinleigh and Ava are leaving tonight to go spend the night in Tulsa for their 4 AM flight. I'm glad it's her and not me.@Cherylndesigns I really love hearing about all of your activity over the last week! You amaze me. Hope you get a little bit of down time this weekend. And I hope that the fireworks have settled down so that the dogs can calm down. We are lucky, the fireworks don’t bother ours. But when I was in college, one of our dogs got out on the 4th and couldn’t find him. The next morning found him dead on the side of the road.
@bcgal00 echoing Chris in hoping that Jen got some relief. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get her back to normal.
HAGD everyone.
