Color Printer

My color printer has died and I am looking for a new one. There are so many out there to pick from. Does anyone have a printer they love and would like to share what it is. I would like to start printing cards again and other hybrid projects and would also like to print some photos. I had a large format printer in the past but would like to go back to a smaller printer this time.

I have a Epson ECOTank Printer. I love that it has tanks that hold the ink that can be refilled. Depending on use - the tanks only need to be refilled 1-2 a year. Much more economical than having to buy cartridges every month. It is a printer/scanner and has a wide range of printing options - from photos, cards, LOs and other regular paper print jobs. It handles a wide range of papers from small-large photo papers, regular paper, up to heavier weight cardstock. It is 8.5 X 11 for both scanning and printing. This is the second Epson ECOTank Printer I have had. I bought the mid-range in the Epson ECOTank as it fits my printing/scanning needs. The colors are bright on photos. There is a maintance selection that allows you to 'clean the print heads' and check that all the colors are printing correctly - plus a more substantial cleaning if needed.

@bkasko I'm with @BrightEyes. I have an epson eco tank. I have the ET-4800. I use it to print my hybrid projects, my photos and my normal everyday printing. I've had it almost 2 years now and have refilled my ink twice.

I purchased mine on amazon. With Black Friday coming up soon, I bet you can get some really great deals.

I have an HP Color laser jet pro MFP M283fdw- we have had it for several years and love it. It does have a tonor cartridge, which is pricy, by I love laser jets for the fast printing and permanent ink.

I don't know anything much about printers since they are pretty old. At least is tech-years. I have a Brother laser and a Canon Photo printer.
But my parents were asking my DH about new printers and he said that one of the brands (Epson perhaps?) made the replacement ink cartridges with serial numbers so you can't use off-brand ones.
That is literally all I know but it is something to keep in mind.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Costco has the Epson printers so I think I will go look at them this week.
